One of the Best Culinary Experiences of My Life My partner and I visited the restaurant, and from the moment we stepped in, it was a delightful surprise. The entrance is unassuming, but once inside, you’re transported into a vibrant space with cozy lighting and smiling faces. It felt like a warm retreat from the cold, dark streets outside. We opted for the 14-course tasting menu, and every dish was a masterpiece—each more colorful, unique, and flavorful than the last. The staff was fantastic, and we were even invited into the kitchen to see how the chocolate is made. It was clear that the chef and his team are true experts who love what they do. I was initially skeptical about dining at a restaurant centered around desserts, but it completely exceeded my expectations. This experience was a perfect blend of creativity, taste, and hospitality—a true culinary adventure.

was a lil skeptical trying out a 2 michelin star dessert spot but i went ahead and booked and did not regret it. experience was one of the best ive had cus u were in the dark of what to expect. will it be sweet, savory or both. and somehow they turned eggplant, lettuce , bone marrow and others to become a dessert... another surprise was the chef letting u go to the kitchen to see how chocolate is made.. that made me feel at home and welcome and i always like that when it comes to paying 200 300 400 for a meal.. and this made it more worth it. would def book again if ever. go check em out... chefs nice and the staff were all great and helpful .

Extraordinary, unusual, special – the CODA is an exquisite address for an unforgettable, magical evening! But first things first: The small restaurant is inconspicuous from the outside, which is why we drove past at first. Inside, however, it impresses with a pleasant ambience with subtle lighting. Tables with a total of 20 seats and a bar counter with another 10 seats in front of an open kitchen are available. For us, the 15-course menu will be a breathtaking culinary journey through a progressive dessert and patisserie world! Anyone who thinks of variants of “chocolate puddings” is wrong. The senses of taste are stimulated in a creative and unusual way and conveyed in all directions (sweet, salty, sour and bitter to umami). A gummy bear made from yellow beetroot, a beefcake with sweet potato and almond, and a brioche with Gouda and turnip, each served as a starter, are examples of this. And every additional course served leaves us speechless with pleasure - what was just the favorite is topped in terms of taste by the following course. The adventure only ends with the final “Dragees & Chocolate” – a dramaturgy and a common thread can always be seen throughout the “journey”. Each of the creations leaves us with an enjoyable, lasting impression - fruit is confited, vegetables and whole dishes are put together in powdered form and cheese is also imaginatively combined. There are many hours and months of painstaking work, failures and successes behind each dish - which is also proven by the remarkable invitation to and a visit to the kitchen, where you can get a small impression of the CODA team's thoughts on the subject of cocoa and chocolate and goes with every dish served. The imaginative non-alcoholic drink accompaniment matches the respective course and is a perfect complement. A separate comment on the service: The entire CODA team accompanied us that evening in an excellent, outstanding, outstanding, excellent manner - always very friendly and sensationally attentive! If CODA has set itself the task of being at the top of its competitors in terms of service orientation and of ensuring that guests have a satisfied and happy evening in this regard, then the concept has also worked here and cannot be improved. In short: PERFECT! Because even with a small farewell gift, we will have fond memories of the wonderful evening - thank you very much for that too! Verdict: Food: 5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 | Service: 6/5 😉 | Ambience: 5/5 | Overall: 5/5 Conclusion: CODA's dessert dining concept is unique, extraordinary, unusual. The individual courses and products are lovingly developed from the natural sweetness of the basic products without the use of industrial ingredients. A very nice, culinary-impressive evening for us, with service that was hard to beat. The price for the menu is certainly high - but overall appropriate and worth the price in relation to the taste experience! Anyone looking for a restaurant that truly deserves Michelin stars and lives up to the quality of this award can look forward to CODA. Finally, it should also be emphasized that dessert dining may not necessarily sound like a “full dinner”, but we left CODA very full. Thank you very much for this perfect, indelible evening!

For our anniversary we were able to experience a truly unforgettable evening at CODA. The menu was exceptional and the dessert-inspired dishes continued to surprise us - innovative and sophisticated at the same time. We spent a wonderful evening at CODA yesterday. The food is really exceptional, the sequence of courses was absolutely harmonious. After a wonderful start, there wasn't a dish that was out of the ordinary. We often secretly rank course menus. Our visit to CODA was an unforgettable experience that completely thrilled us as a family - including our teenage children, who were skeptical at first, but in the end were just as enthusiastic as we were! CODA's concept of focusing entirely on the harmony between dessert and savory dishes completely fascinated us. Each course was a taste explosion with unusual ingredients in perfect harmony with each other. The balance of sweet, sour and savory was of the highest order, yet each dish was approachable and exciting. We found it particularly impressive that our children also enjoyed trying and enjoying the creative compositions - a rare moment in which everyone at the table shared the same enthusiasm ;) The service was first class and warm at the same time. The team managed to create a relaxed atmosphere in which we immediately felt at home. They took the time to explain the dishes to each of us in detail, which encouraged our kids to be curious and open-minded. The atmosphere at CODA was modern and stylish, but still pleasantly unpretentious, so that we as a family felt welcome and in good hands. A special highlight for our children was the interaction with the chefs, who gave us insights into how the chocolate is made - that left a lasting impression! Overall, our evening at CODA was a first-class culinary experience that exceeded all expectations. We never thought our children would be so excited about this fine dining restaurant, but CODA has shown us that good food can really connect generations. Sorry, ja, ich weiß, alle sind begeistert. Ja, es ist jetzt die Nr. 61 in der Welt. Ja, es ist in Neukölln und es ist cool. Trotzdem waren wir, vier Personen, leider nicht begeistert. Sicherlich ist die Küche kreativ, aber irgendwie fehlt etwas. Nur, weil es besonders ist, ist es nicht unbedingt gut. Der Service war locker und sehr freundlich, aber auch nicht besonders gut. Alles war einfach in Ordnung, aber "in Ordnung" und ungewöhnlich passt nicht zum Preis. Ich denke, es muss einem gefallen und dann ist es toll und jeden Cent wert. Für uns war es eine "once in a lifetime" experience und wir wünschen dem Team vom Coda Dessert Dining alles Gute und weiterhin viel Erfolg.

The Coda concept of desert dining sounded promising, but failed to live up to our expectations. Based on the description 'Desert Dining', we had imagined more dishes with a dessert character, but it was actually a completely normal dinner menu. The pleasant atmosphere and the attentive service are positive. The presentation of the dishes was also quite appealing. Unfortunately, despite prior notice, we forgot that there was a vegetarian in our group. This only became apparent when the first meat course was served. The signature dish, a caviar popsicle add-on, was interesting but disappointingly simple in execution - essentially vanilla ice cream covered in caviar. Creativity? None! The remaining courses were well prepared, but monotonous. The frequent use of melted cheese was noticeable, but there were no real culinary highlights. Overall, the food was solidly prepared, but in my opinion it didn't justify the price of around 300 euros per person. We would have expected significantly more innovation and surprises for this price range. Unfortunately for us, Coda couldn't keep up with the standards of other two-star restaurants. We found the food to be anything but exceptional!

So dessert dining. It sounds strange at first glance, but it quickly turns out to be an experience that will stay in your memory for a long time. The CODA looks rather inconspicuous from the outside. As you walk through the area you can think of many other things to expect there, but not a 2 star restaurant. When you arrive inside you are greeted by a tastefully minimalist room. The large counter immediately catches the eye. We sat at one of the tables around it. The good room layout is noticeable. The size of the tables is chosen so that a comfortable distance is created from the neighbors, but you still don't sit too far away from them. We received excellent service from the first minute and were given a brief overview of the concept and the drinks menu at the same time. It was noted that some courses already included a drink accompaniment, but we were still left to order additional drinks. We decided on an aperitif and then we started with an extremely well-balanced menu. There was a greeting from the kitchen, which was also the first course. He cleverly showed what to expect. Some fine dining restaurants are already overstepping the mark here by sending extremely good greetings from the kitchen, but the following courses on the menu cannot maintain the desired level. The CODA shows here how it works. The greeting from the kitchen illustrates the restaurant's skills without creating excessive expectations of the rest of the menu. Afterwards, taste explosions followed in perfect harmony with appropriate relaxation. The drink accompaniment was extremely appropriate. A nice detail in the menu was the different font size for some courses. This refers to the portion size of the individual dishes. That's what you want in some other restaurants. It didn't bother us that the menu didn't include a classic meat course. What we found very exciting was how well beef fat, for example, is suitable as a butter substitute. We were also very impressed by the fact that no refined sugar is used, but that CODA relies on the natural sweetness of the ingredients. We had a lot of fun and left CODA feeling full and not too full.

The food was interesting but certainly not worth the price. Just felt like they are trying with different components but I didn’t feel there was a story, nor was any dish amazing. The closest to good was a waffle with cheese in it, but really? The donut stuffed with cheese was dry, the gummy bear was underwhelming, and their matched drinks lacked anything outside of inventiveness. Chocolate was super typical high end chocolate. Honestly, if I wasn’t with friends I would have asked for my money back because it lacked soul and cohesion in its entirety. Nice try but not even close to a decent meal. I was hungry after and had to grab a meal at a nearby fast food shop.

If you want interesting flavours on your palate, then try this place. The service is exceptional, best service I ever had in Berlin for sure. Visited twice, in 2017 and again in 2024. The experience the first time was remarkable, and this second visit was just not the same. The restaurant has received more attention since, an extra Michelin star, but was surprised at how little I enjoyed it as it did not live up to my expectations of the new hype. For a full experience it easily becomes EUR 400+ per person. The caviar popsicle was nothing great, and the drinks were a bit of a disappointment.

Dessert restaurant. Starting with the positives, I really enjoyed the raclette waffle. It tastes delicious and I like how crunchy yet light it is. I also enjoyed nearly all the wine pairings we had. Overall, I was very impressed with the first part of the dinner course. Service was also very friendly. Sadly, I have to admit that I did not like the caviar popsicle at all. It’s an add-on course that I really regretted choosing. I don’t like how savory the caviar is and then adding that with the vanilla ice cream did not work for me at all. Difficult to eat. The last chocolate courses were cool to see the behind the scenes progress but the chocolates themselves were alright. Overall, a foos dining experience

It took me a long time to think if I should leave this review. I know running a restaurant is not easy, but I still want to tell my true felling. First about the service, Almost all the stuffs there were super cute except one young man who lead me in with a little mustache, his attitude was super weird, rude, made me felt really uncomfortable. Almost ruined my experience. But luckily he didn’t serve me later. For the food part, I really don’t like the caviar ice cream. There was no connection between caviar and ice cream at all. If I didn’t order this extra ice cream. The impression to the food would be much better…but this is my own decision to make, that’s makes me feel even worse that I made such a bad decision. And for the chocolate part, even though they showed me how hard they made the chocolate, but the chocolate dessert just really normal, doesn’t feel any creative in it. But half of the other foods are great.

CODA was my second 2 star restaurant, and I have to say, it blew me away. It absolutely lived up to my expectations and exceeded them in so many ways. CODA as a restaurant is like playing a game that you intentionally put restrictions on to make it harder, because you are so good at the game. Working without refined sugar, and an entirely dessert 15 course menu, you might think "ahh, should I really go to a dessert only place for this dinner? Dessert isn't a big deal", and you would be wrong. Not only did each dish make us think "this is the best thing I've ever had in my mouth (because it's not just the taste they have mastered, but also textures), the presentation and experience of it is also so unbelievable. I don't want to even spoil how the food looks by posting photos. But trust me, it's pure art, and served by some of the nicest, most skilled staff I've ever seen in a restaurant. There are parts of this dining experience that go beyond eating at your table, and they make you feel so special and welcome. Again, I don't want to spoil it, but this experience is more than just the food. And again, the food, it's SO good. They pair drinks which elevate the experience to another level. As someone who doesn't care about wine, this was the most fun part for me. These weird drinks that were essentially part of the dish that were just so much fun. If you are in Berlin, you owe it to yourself to try CODA. It's an unbelievable dining experience that is just so impressive. You will have a great time and be happy you went. Also, the caviar popsicle is optional, you should absolutely get it, and the optional drink. It's so so so good.

We had a wonderful evening in the restaurant. The cuisine was exceptional and clearly stands out from others **Restaurants off. The creativity is not only evident visually on the plate, but also clearly in the taste. Ingredients are processed in new and unknown ways and imaginative combinations lead to unexpected taste experiences. As if that wasn't enough for a successful evening, the staff is also exceptional. We received a lot of attention and care and felt really welcome and accepted as guests. It was a taste experience. It's almost impossible to describe. An experience that will definitely stay with us for a long time. I am always amazed at the “ingenuity” of the chefs. And if you think dessert is sweet, you're wrong. Flavor combinations that are not only very interesting, but also wonderfully tickle the taste buds in the mouth. The combination of popsicles coated with caviar is particularly interesting. The chocolate is made on site and the process is explained to guests. Whilst the food and drink is excellent, what leaves a sour taste is paying additionally for bottled water (not listed on the website) and then having the classic tip-pressure on top of the bill. CODA Dessert Dining is such an innovative experience. Don't be fooled, this is not a bunch of sweet dishes. I finally managed to try this very hyped star restaurant, and, yes, it's hyped with very sound reasons. The service is excellent, friendly, and supportive. The experience is absolutely unique. The combination of aromas, texture, and taste is something I never encountered in any other restaurant. Calling a dessert dinner is reductive, it's an experience of experimental compositions on the basis of dessert logic. Worth every euro and minute!

When we saw the price of €250 p.p. When we first saw it, we were very skeptical and thought it was grossly exaggerated, but now that we've enjoyed it, the price is completely reasonable. We ate combinations of foods that I had never heard of before and I never imagined being able to combine so many different ingredients. It awakened taste buds in me that I didn't think I had. Every single course was a work of art in itself. In addition, the whole thing around it wasn't fancy, it was normal and made you feel good. Patissier, who brings umami to the equation. It's been my third time over the past 2 years and the best so far - definitely deserved 2 stars, if not more. For me it's not only about the complex techniques, but also how yummy in the end the impressions are, and Rene Frank is someone you can count on delivering both.

This is an over the original, incredible dessert and wine tasting experience. Food: Fascinating dining with creative use of natural ingredients to create a wide variety of delicious dishes. Coda is alchemy. The chefs make purple carrots taste like blueberry without sugar, and make amazing mousse without cream or sugar. CODA's "signature" comes in the form "Caviar Popsicle" that is gorgeous in both taste and texture. Each course comes with a small serving of relevant drink. Service: Staff is enthusiatic and knowledgable, which adds to the experience. It isn't cheap, but it is worth every penny. We loved every second!

The entire dining experience at CODA was flawless, from the amazing service to the room and atmosphere. The dishes were also beautifully presented and most were very tasty. I also enjoyed the pairing drinks, which went very well. However - for the very high price you pay, I have to admit I expect to be blown away by the food. While a couple of dishes or something components were delicious, some were just quite good. I'd personally prefer less vegetable based dishes, as these just don't have the same potential to be amazing in my opinion - even a very well prepared vegetable mousse is rarely going to wow you all that much. Our favourites were by far the dishes with cheese and the few containing meat. While we still enjoyed the lovely night out, given the high price and the 2 Michelin stars, I have to say my expectations were not quite met.

Chinese at the end The restaurant is very narrow, and they arranged us in the corner(the only small corner table). You can hear the noisy music and people talking loudly as background the whole time. If you are a Chinese(don’t know if its related ) or happen to be young, I’m sorry but you are not their target customers, they will treat you very differently. Here follow what really “impressed” me, 1) No matter how early you started, how fast you ate, they will slow down the serving frequency on purpose! We were one of the earliest to start, the tables around us had less and less waiting time in between and left us waiting for more than 25min amongst courses. In the end we could only finish like 20min later than people started 30min later than us. If you didn't do this on purpose, please give a good explanation. 2) They tried to shorten the explanation/introduction on each course. It took them 20 seconds to tell us what's contained in the food and the left. However, they spent way way more time on the next table to explain what they could expect and how they should try in detail while they can get served with another dish faster. Well, thank you very much. In the end, this is not my first Michelin experience, but definitely the worst. Very disrespectful experience. The restaurant is very narrow and they put us at the only small table in the corner with poor lighting. The background music was very noisy, and the whole meal was filled with the noise of other people talking. If you are Chinese (I'm not sure if it has anything to do with me being Chinese) or young and don't speak German, you are not their target customer and they will treat you in a disrespectful way. Next I will talk about specific points: 1) No matter how early you start, they will slowly lengthen the waiting time between each dish and then give priority to those target customers. The last time is spent waiting. If you look at the people next to you who come to eat half an hour later than me, I will Guarantee I am definitely not eating slowly! What's not intentional? I served the first dish at 7:60 and finished it at 11:20, when the people next to me had finished leaving. One bite of a dish, am I slower than others? 2) Because I don’t speak German, they were deliberately perfunctory in their introduction. First of all, their English was very good, but they just talked about what they had and left. The table next to me also said what kind of flavors to expect and how to taste it? ? Really convinced It's not the first time I've eaten Michelin, but it's the worst ever. If it didn't make me really angry, I wouldn't write a review.

The dinner was my Christmas present to my wife. It was a great evening that started a little late. We actually walked past “CODA”. Well hidden in the middle of Neuköln, we found a golden bell in a dark entrance to the house. The welcome was very warm and the restaurant was small but nice with an open kitchen and bar. It was supposed to be the progressive menu with 14 courses. Rene Frank personally helped with the wine selection. After almost four hours and 14 works of art from the kitchen, we went home feeling inspired. Simply a great idea to present something different. In short - a real experience! The team around Frank Rene was perfect from the first minute. We can recommend it to anyone who wants something out of the ordinary. Please just keep it up - we really enjoyed it.

Anläßlich eines Berlinbesuchs einfach nach der Beschreibung aus dem Gault&Millau herausgesucht. Wir haben es nicht nur nicht bereut, wir waren schlichtweg begeistert davon, was die Crew um den Chef René Frank alles so aus der offenen Küche zaubert. Feinste Kreationen die die Geschmacksnerven nur so kitzelten bzw. forderten. Vom "Gummibären" zum Einstieg über ein mit Kaviar veredeltes "Stieleis" und ein "entfremdetes" Grissini von Landschwein und Sauerkraut bis hin zur dunklen Schokolade, zu deren Produktion man in die Küche gebeten wurde. Es war alles ein Erlebnis! Danke, dass wir dabei sein durften!

I remember exactly how we had to leave this wonderful, warm and heartfelt place again, and how elated and excited we were and we just couldn't help reciting our favourite courses over and over again. We couldn't get out of raving and talking. For 3 indescribable hours, we were so warmly and lovingly looked after by everyone, and were treated to a whole rainbow of works of art, that we didn't really have time to let each course have its own effect, because the courses trumped each other over and over again. This evening left an indispensable impression that made us so incredibly happy, emotional and excited that we are already starting to romanticise this wonderful memory. Thank you for this experience.

Como confeiteira, o Coda já estava em nossos planos. Um restaurante 2 estrelas Michelin, com jantar progressivo de “sobremesas” é o sonho de muito confeiteiro, e se esse é o seu também, aconselho: reserve com bastante antecedência. Fui em meu aniversário e o resumo da experiência foi MARAVILHOSO! Como todo restaurante descolado e moderno de Berlin não esperaria nada diferente: são pet friendly! Nosso “filho de 4 patas” foi tratado com muito respeito e cortesia pela equipe toda. O menu de 7 cursos (mais Ooooo melhor Sorvete da vida) foi , sem nenhum problema, adaptado para minha restrição alimentar: sem gluten. Um jantar do início ao fim super delicioso e divertido. A única ressalva (nossa humilde opinião) por termos escolhido o menu todo harmonizado, seria substituir um ou dois dos “tradicionais” vinhos de sobremesa ou cocktails adocicados, por harmonizações por contraste e/ou refrescância. Talvez tenhamos sentido isso porque no dia a temperatura externa batia mais de 30C (o que não é normal em Berlin) e infelizmente, nesse dia o ar condicionado do local não dava conta, o que me causou um pouco de desconforto. Mas, o Espaço interno é bonito, intimista e minimalista, não tirando a atenção da estrela principal: a comida. Restaurante se fácil acesso por metrô, e escondido por uma fachada toda grafitada, o que deixou a experiência ainda mais interessante.

Als Mensch der Begeisterung für´s Fine Dining hat und der weltweit unterwegs ist um neue Restaurants, Gerichte und Weine zu probieren heißt es etwas wenn ich (mit Ende 50!) sage, das tief und nachhaltig beeindruckt war und immer noch bin. Absolut ALLES war einzigartig, ungewöhnlich und eine einzigartige Erfahrung. (das beinhaltet die Menschen, den Service, das Essen, die Weinbegleitung, die Gespräche und Ideen ...) Die Menüideen sind spektakulär, aber der Service und die Art und Weise wie man hier mit den Gästen/Kunden umgeht ist einzigartig! Das Coda ist nicht nur ein Restaurant, sondern ein unfassbar tolles Erlebnis. Ich habe einen Abend mit meinem Mann hier verbracht. Jeder Gang war einzigartig, intensiv und ein absolutes Träumchen. Unerwarteterweise war der Salatkopf-Gang mein absolute Highlight. Allerdings war der Beefcake für mich auch sehr weit oben mit dabei. Die übrigen Gänge waren ebenso unbegreiflich schmackhaft und toll. Die Getränkebegleitung war ebenfalls fantastisch und hat wirklich zu jedem einzelnen Gang Sinn ergeben. Wir durften uns noch die Küche anschauen, wo und wie die unverwechselbare Schokolade im Coda hergestellt wird. Ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis. Der Service war gleichermaßen erste Klasse und wir hatten einen unglaublich schönen Abend.

Die Tischplatte aus brandenburgischem Muschelkalk, dazu ein golden glänzender Löffel und eine ebensolche Gabel, das leicht getönte, fast handschmeichlerische Wasserglas: Der äußere Rahmen gibt die Richtung vor. So bodenständig und solide einerseits, so facettenreich, überraschend und voller geschmacklicher Glanzpunkte andererseits ist das ganze Menü. Die Idee, jedes “Dessert“ mit einem kleinen, eigens kreierten Getränk zu begleiten, schafft zusätzliche Gastlichkeit und erweitert das kulinarische Erlebnis noch einmal. Just like the concept of CODA, so was the experience: an otherworldly way to dine. 😏 There's a difference between eating and dining, dining and fine dining and since CODA there's even a distinction between fine dining and dessert dining. One-of-a-kind dishes with hints of childhood memories (even though my mother definitely did not prepare any dish, let alone dessert with parsley root as ice cream and black garlic); yet, each and every dish is unique as it is, creating its own copyrights just by existing. More than the food and the carefully curated symphony of flavours; what made the evening truly unique was the wholehearted service. It's extremely easily recognisable if someone's having fun doing what they do and let me tell you: the front-of-house team was professional, but them showing their personalities made them stand out from the waiter's cloth holding, silent server armies that we're all too familiar with. Special thanks to the dazzling Mary (😜), whose invigorating energy was able to light up even an already bright room. If you want to have a good time that you will remember for the rest of your life, with people who treat you like friends and food that redefines your understanding of not just desserts, but food in general, this is the place to be. Good luck finding it elsewhere. 😉

Très belle soirée. C'était notre premier 2 étoiles. Nous n'avons donc pas véritablement de comparaison mais il est sûr que nous avons passer un super moment! Attention cependant, il n'y a plus de serveur parlant français dans l'établissement, il est donc nécessaire de parler anglais. 14 plats défilent devant vous. Tous aussi goutu les un que les autres, certains vous rappelleront de bons souvenirs d'enfance, d'autres piqueront votre curiosité avec leurs saveurs et mélanges atypiques. Sur les 14, une seule assiettes nous as plus un peu moins de par ses saveurs peut être un peu trop fortes pour nos palais. Les plats sont servis en accord avec des des boissons qui viennent vraiment compléter le plats, ils font partie intégrante de l'assiette et complète les gouts d'une manière surprenante. Mention à la serveuse dont on a malheureusement pas le nom, qui tout au long de la soirée c'est efforcée de parler français avec nous, et qui était vraiment très sympathique. Si vous avez les moyens, foncez y !

Sehr beeindruckendes Restaurant! Das Essen war super toll, beeindruckende Kombinationen vom Team hergestellt und vorgestellt. Das Kaviar Popsicle ist sogar besser als erwartet und ist mit Recht das Signature Dish mit dem Werbung gemacht wird. Mit Leidenschaft werden die Getränke Begleitungen perfekt mit den Desserts abgestimmt und es ist meiner Meinung nach ein Muss diese zu bestellen. Der Service ist super lieb und zuvorkommend und bietet im Laufe des Abends sogar an zur alkoholfreien Begleitung zu wechseln.

Es ist schon eine Weile her als wir dort waren. Der gesamte Abend vom Empfang bis hin zur Verabschiedung war einfach traumhaft. Das Ambiente ist sehr modern und recht dunkel gehalten. Die Beleuchtung direkt über den Tischen setzt den Fokus direkt auf das, was das Restaurant ausmacht: Das Essen! Jeder Gang war ein Kunstwerk, welches beinahe zu schade ist, es zu essen. Extrem kreativ mit dem Fokus auf Patisserietechniken mit natürlichen Inhaltsstoffen ohne den Zusatz künstlicher Aromen oder von Industriezucker und generell eine Kombination aus Zutaten, die man so vorher definitiv nicht kannte. Mein absolutes Highlight war der Cirone Cheesecake. Die Kombination aus dem kräftigen Cirone Käse mit einer Kaffeereduktion und Sellerie war einfach atemberaubend. Dazu die herrlich abgestimmten Pairing Drinks, die sogar im Menüpreis enthalten sind. Insgesamt bekommt man hier Haute Cuisine mit einer Kreativität, die weltweit seinesgleichen sucht. Sobald wir wieder einen Aufenthalt in Berlin planen, wird ein Abend im CODA Dessert Dining definitiv wieder auf unserer Agenda stehen. Wir waren begeistert!

Mein Besuch am 02.11.2023 war außergewöhnlich. Wo soll man da anfangen, man kann das Coda schlecht mit anderen Restaurant auf diesem Niveau vergleichen. Da es durch das einzigartige Konzept ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal hat. Die Begrüßung im Coda war sehr gut man hat sich direkt wohlgefühlt und was ich besonders angenehm fand das man auch geduzt wurde. Was somit das steife direkt aufgehoben hat, welches man aus diversen Sternerestaurants kennt. Mein Sitzplatz war an dem Abend an der Bar, welcher einen direkten Blick in die Küche hatte. Dies war wirklich schön mit anzusehen wie die Köche arbeiten. Fangen wir jetzt aber mal an mit dem Menü. Man kann beim Menü auch einen zusätzlichen Gang wählen welches der Signature Kaviar-Popsicle ist. Das Menü hat an Raffinesse vollkommen überzeugt, zuerst war ich ein bisschen skeptisch wegen einem Dessert Fine Dining. Aber diese Skepsis konnte ich direkt ablegen als ich den ersten Gruß aus der Küche bekommen habe. Man erlebt an dem Abend diverse Geschmackskombinationen aus süß und salzig die man sonst noch nie gesehen oder geschmeckt hat, was wirklich einzigartig ist. Das war wirklich einer Achterbahnfahrt der Geschmäcker. Alles in allem kann ich das Coda nur jedem wärmstens ans Herz legen, da es eine unglaubliche Erfahrung ist. Es ist zwar teurer, aber auf jeden Fall das Geld wert, wenn man einen sehr schönen Abend haben will. Ich komme definitiv wieder! Vielen Dank für den unvergesslichen Abend und das sehr leckere Essen!

Our visit to Coda Restaurant was an experience that promised to be extraordinary and in fact delivered unique concept. The tasting menu, which focuses on sweet ingredients and includes one bone marrow dish, showcased exceptional plating, high-quality techniques and innovative flavor combinations. However, the duration of the evening was too long, from 19:00 to 23:30, which caused some discomfort with less than ideal seating. The service was also sometimes sloppy, with empty glasses sitting on our table for a long time, which was unexpected for a restaurant of this caliber. Although the innovative concept was appreciated, the price of almost 300 euros for a tasting menu consisting mainly of vegetables, fruits and pastries seemed out of proportion. While the restaurant certainly offers a unique dining experience, it tends to be more of a place to creatively mix sweet ingredients than just concentrate on tasting desserts. Carrots, beetroots are sweet, but this is not a dessert. None of the dishes were sweet enough. In conclusion, extended duration, high prices, poor service will be the main reason we won't revisit.

Ein ganz besonderes Restaurant. Legere Atmosphäre, extrem besonderes Essen. 7 Gänge Menü von dem uns jeder Gang gut, mehrere sehr sehr gut gefallen haben. Hier merkt man, dass alle Mitarbeitenden hochproessionell und durchdacht Spitzengastronomie umsetzen bzw leben. Der zugegebenermaßen teure Preis ist gerechtfertigt. Ganz schlechter Kundenservicr: ich hatte für 2 Personen im Juli letztens Jahres einen Tisch 3 Monate im Voraus reserviert, der ohne Angaben von Gründen storniert wurde. So weit so gut, allerdings wurde keinerlei Alternative angeboten und einfach nur eine Standard Absage per Mail versandt. Ich hätte mich über einen kurzen Anruf gefreut. Leider geht beim Coda selbst keiner am Telefon ran bzw. unsere Mails werden ignoriert. In einem Sterne Restaurant hätte ich mehr erwartet. So ist es uns leider nicht mal möglich das Essen und den Service vor Ort zu bewerten, wenn man hier nie durch kommt. Schade, wir hatten extra Monate im Voraus reserviert, um dem coda einen Besuch abzustatten. So geht man mit seinen Gästen nicht um …

The food is very creative. The staffs are friendly and attentive. And the atmosphere is very nice, good for couples or friends to hang out. The restaurant is a bit hidden behind the curtain but if you follow the address you would find the place easily. Its definitely one of the lifetime experience. Deserved the 2 stars michelin. Cons the price is quite high, about 2xx euro per person without drinks. And if you want to order a signature menu, the caviar popsicle you need to pay an extra but its recommended though.

I think CODA was made for us. We love dessert. And we love great food! CODA takes a unique spin on dessert inspired foods, but savory, yet sweet and absolutely perfect. We loved every second. The staff was also attentive and kind -- we even got to meet the team preparing our unforgettable meal. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

Einen sehr schönen Abend dort verbracht. Der Service ist hervorragend, Sie sind flexibel auf Bedürfnisse eingegangen, jeder wusste, was seine Kompetenzen sind. Die verschiedenen Gänge waren perfekt mit den jeweiligen dazu ausgewählten Getränken kombiniert. Ebenfalls bestand die Möglichkeit einen Einblick in die Küche zu bekommen. Ein kleines, aber sehr feines Restaurant, mir war es persönlich etwas zu dunkel. Ich kann mich den vorherigen Bewertungen nur anschliessen, gerne kommen wir beim nächsten Berlin-Besuch wieder vorbei.

Inventive cuisine, with some very interesting flavors and textures. We went for the 6 courses menu and wine pairing, which was a +4 hours adventure. Tables and the dining room itself are quite small.

After reading some negative reviews due to the change in ownership, we were initially unsettled. However, completely baseless. Absolutely friendly service, lovely atmosphere and excellent food. Also worth highlighting is the very good price-performance ratio of the surprise menu as well as the sufficiently large portions! The portions were just as big as the normal main courses a la carte. We like to eat very well and we all agreed that we hadn't eaten so well in a long time. The only small suggestion for improvement: my main course (Chickenwomanizer) arrived a little lukewarm. If necessary, preheat the plate more. But otherwise excellent. The quality of the food, the location and especially the service are great.

The food was very impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire set menu. I also really appreciated the ambience and design of the space—it was lively without feeling overcrowded, and the blend of chatter and music created a pleasant background for our dinner. However, I’d like to provide some feedback on the service, which felt quite uneven. Despite noting my date’s shellfish allergy, the staff repeatedly offered us oysters and later poured oyster sauce over a dish that could have otherwise been enjoyed without worrying about the allergen. Additionally, a glass of wine that wasn’t finished was taken away too soon, and the pacing between dishes was sometimes too long, which disrupted the overall flow of the experience. That said, we absolutely loved the food and still recommend visiting the restaurant. We hope the service improves so Hallmann und Klee can shine even brighter.

Stuffy Asian-fusion boredom that is neither fish nor meat. Culinary wise, it is overshadowed by Good Friends and every Ishin restaurant in Berlin. Showy wine list with bottle prices of up to 16 thousand (!) EURO. Who wants that today?

Sounds promising, but it doesn't hold up. The oysters and mussels were wonderful, but the rest was unfortunately disappointing. The ceviche was boring. Very small plates, but high prices. It seems uninspired and random, with no real common thread. The service was too arrogant for me. There was no recommendation or advice about the wine and the plates were carelessly placed in a very strange sequence. If the tipping expectations are not met, you as a guest will be treated condescendingly. That hasn't happened to me in a long time. I expected a lot and unfortunately I'm not sad that I can't do it again here.
