A very nice evening, great and surprising dishes with unusual combinations! Very good and attentive wine accompaniment by the nice sommelier! The only criticism: the meat course (crispy suckling pig) lacked an "opposite" to the sauerkraut to create some tension... and the dessert had more chocolate crumbs, otherwise the taste of the pickled radishes predominates... but these are just small things do not detract from the overall impression! The card was still very new at the time...

Despite the nice staff, the price-performance ratio is not right; a Michelin star was not deserved last night. 6 courses in 4 hours is clearly too long, especially since the heating was out and you were happy to be warm again at home. The starters were promising, unfortunately the following courses couldn't maintain the same standard. Celery carbonara and hollandaise were salty and inedible. The portions are too small considering the price.

There were two of us at Faelt and we had the vegetarian menu with the non-alcoholic drink accompaniment. At the beginning the service was really courteous and nice, which unfortunately changed a lot over the course of the evening. The explanations about the drinks became shorter and shorter until the drink was finally presented to you as you walked past with a word. Unfortunately the service seemed very stressed. Nevertheless, we were very satisfied with the drinks; they tasted exceptional and went well with the respective courses. Now about the food. In terms of taste, all courses were delicious and we liked the idea of ​​reinterpreting German classics. However, only the cabbage course and the broth with the potatoes with quark were able to really convince us. The portions were very reasonable and we left still hungry.

We were there for the third time and unfortunately this time it was a big disappointment. I think the price/performance ratio is no longer right, the service was irritating. There are delicious dishes and starting with a mini kebab and mini pizza is very original - but the price-performance ratio is simply no longer right. It's a shame because we thought it was great the previous two times.

The price-performance ratio is simply a catastrophe. I can tell the operators from the bottom of my heart, but spending well over 1000 euros for three people with an honest wine accompaniment is a bit audacious. But it seems to work. Even Michelin stars are awarded. Now I ask myself, am I the stupid one, I have no idea. I think I have an idea.

Lovely little restaurant. We had the vegetarian menu, it was great and I would recommend to everyone. It had a nice balance of fresh and umami. Service was relaxed, but very friendly, while I loved the open kitchen and familiar and friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. Excellent wines. I recommend this restaurant, it's a little jewel to enjoy high quality dinner for a very reasonable price. Minus points for the interior and lighting, which could get a bit more attention to improve the mood.

Auf die Gäste wartet hier ein freundlicher, unkomplizierter Service. Berliner-Casual auf gehobenem Niveau, wenn auch im Lauf des späteren Abends merklich gestresst. Der Sommelier geht nicht nur auf Wünsche bei der Weinbegleitung ein, sondern sogar vor einem auf die Knie. Die Weine aus der Weinbegleitung sind allerdings überwiegend unspektakulärer. Kommen Sie einem so gar nicht zupass, werden Alternativen angeboten. Sterneköche lieben bekanntermaßen die Reduktion auf das Wesentliche. Hier wird es teilweise übertrieben. Eine halbe Scheibe Sauerteigbrot pro Person wird zum kreativen Gruß aus der Küche gereicht. Auch der ein oder andere Gang gerät etwas zu übersichtlich. Das, was gereicht wird, ist geschmacklich teilweise sehr weit vorne. Aus Ente und Aal entwickelt die Küche eine geniale Kombination. Ein Berliner Fried Chicken wird auf einem Plastiktablett serviert. Sowohl der stilistische Gag als auch der geschmackliche Eindruck des Gangs lassen ihn getrost als überflüssig erscheinen. Ob dagegen Gurke mit Sauerampfer wirklich ein eigener Gang sein muss, kann jeder selbst entscheiden. Man fühlt sich doch eher an den Küchentisch der eigenen Großmutter zurückversetzt - ganz ohne Michelin-Stern.

A very interesting culinary experience. Unique takes on flavour and ingredients made us excited to see what each next dish brings. Extremely interesting was the doughnut dish with caviar and the cabbage in different ways dish. Good wine pairing even though we felt it was quite pricey so perhaps better to order a bottle. Overall interesting experience that I would highly recommend for foodies. Restaurant was very accommodating for last minute reservation so be sure to contact them via email. Make sure you're comfortable with the pricing before you go which you can see on the website.

Instead of passively complaining, maybe you shouldn't charge €134 for a meal? What can justify this price? Schöneberg alone.... The paradise for heterosexuals...? Instead of being offended, maybe you should adjust the prices. Otherwise it may still take 6 months to respond to a review. Dittttt is the work ethic you need. As for your comment: you can suggest one to me. I'm around 3000km away. Whether you believe me or not... But my opinion wouldn't change with you either. Namely speaking of “eggs”. You probably use it occasionally too. Cost in the supermarket: affordable? I think such prices are bad for you too. The food was good. What you might expect from a one Michelin star restaurant, but nothing more. Where they really fell down on our visit was the service. We averaged 45 minutes between courses, and with the skimpy wine pours, we were often left waiting with empty glasses, including a few times where we had finished our wine before the course that it was supposed to be paired with arrived. It took about 5 and a half hours for them to serve us the 6 course meal. They were clearly badly understaffed, and of course this is sometimes unavoidable, but the accompanying attitude really made it hard to have any sympathy. For one, neighboring tables that arrived after us were progressing through the courses before we were. But the worst was when they asked how it was going and we said the service had been extremely slow, and they turned it back on us saying we should have told them when we arrived that we didn’t want our meal to last nearly 6 hours, as if that is a normal or even remotely acceptable state of affairs. It just really did not feel like the price they charged was justified because we left the restaurant feeling ignored, and underwhelmed.

We are very happy we found this restaurant during our Berlin city trip and spent a fantastic evening at Faelt. We were seated at a table overlooking the open kitchen where the team of just 4 (!) managed to give us an exceptional experience. The six course vegetarian menu is of the highest quality and very versatile in flavors and textures. We added one non-vegetarian dish which was truly memorable. The wine pairing perfectly complemented the menu with an extraordinary selection; we will remember the Spätlese in particular for a very long time. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and informal setting of the whole evening: nothing too stiff, plenty of fun conversations with the staff: these people love what they are doing and it shows. Highly recommended!

We had only one night in Berlin and chose this restaurant due to its good reputation, but were dissapointed. We ordered the 6 cours menu with wine pairing. The personell were really stressed and distant the whole night (except for the waitor who served the food). This affected our dining experience in a negative manner. The apetizer was servered prior to any drinks, the wine was presented in a hurry, the sommelier forgot to serve 2/6 glasses of wine and one course was servered prior to the wine. With that said, the wine was delicious and well paired with the food. The food was really good, but we expect better service from this kind of restaurant.

We had a great evening for my friend's birthday. They also brought him a nice birthday cake as an extra. The food is sublime! The portions are small for some but were more than enough for us. Nice concept to make all courses vegetarian and supplement with meat or fish dishes. Our waiter forgot a wine with one course, but compensated for this afterwards with a second pour with another dish.

For our 11th wedding anniversary we chose the menu with all courses and wine accompaniment. It was simply stunning. We were not only impressed by the quality and the great taste, but also by the many ideas that were brought into the product. There was also a really suitable wine accompaniment where you could tell that the food and wine were a perfect match. In addition, very attentive and friendly service, lots of information about the wines and a great atmosphere. It's unbelievable how quickly and yet how decelerated the three hours went by here. The two of us visited the faelt for dinner. The concept and approach sounded very exciting and authentic, so we really wanted to try it out. First of all: it was a fantastic evening! Although we were prepared for a purely vegetarian evening, we spontaneously added another course to the regular 6-course menu on the recommendation of the house ("Homage to Chef Lohse"). The individual courses were all on point and tasted absolutely convincing, so we looked forward to every new course. The variety & creativity were really fun! The wine/drinks accompaniment was also an absolute highlight. We decided to make alcoholic/non-alcoholic 50/50. The wines harmonized perfectly with the dishes. In particular, the non-alcoholic accompaniments at this level opened up a new horizon for us! Not to be compared with the non-alcoholic wines/champagne we knew. Many thanks also to the great service team! We had a really great evening!

The four of us had the vegetarian menu, consisting of six courses. One of us had another course with an onsen egg. Plus an incomplete wine accompaniment. The individual courses were varied, well prepared and aromatic, but not very exciting. The time between courses was too long (up to 45 minutes), and the portions of each course were very small, even for a star restaurant. The service was too distant for me (three out of four gentlemen were obviously over the age of 60, so you don't have to use first names, not even in Schöneberg). Unfortunately, when it got dark, the terrace was poorly lit, so we couldn't really see the food during the last three courses. The four of us paid EUR 750.00 with a tip, which we still gave. For my taste it wasn't worth it. I won't come back.

Unfortunately I can't agree with the positive reviews. Overall, the food wasn't a revelation that I would have expected given the "advance praise" and the price. I was surprised by the very intensive use of salt, especially the octopus was "oversalted" for me. The service was good, but not perfect. For reasons of privacy, I will not provide any further information about this. Unfortunately, we didn't find the atmosphere particularly pleasant at all. The dining room is quite small and you sit in front of the open kitchen. The door was open the whole time, it wasn't really comfortable. The chairs are uncomfortable. The tables are not set, the plates are placed directly on the wooden table. The cutlery is quite scratched and not polished, so it doesn't meet the supposedly high standards. Actually, I wanted to leave it at that experience and not write a public comment until I received a written response to my non-public criticism: "Overpriced ;-) What planet [sic] do you live on?" I have the impression that a "concept" is simply being pursued here, the owner is incapable of criticism and does not take the guests seriously. Well, everyone has to know for themselves...

I had a truly lovely experience dining solo this evening. The wine pairings were incredibly on -point, and I loved the alt 80s sound track spinning in the background. I was delighted by the persistence of crunchiness throughout the courses, and especially loved the Kohlrabi, which felt like a crescendo. Everything was fine. The food was an aromatic explosion throughout. Every single dish went together in a fantastic way. It is cozy and not as agitated as the owners describe it in their self-assessment. The music is the only thing that comes canned. Not annoying, but the quality of the food and the great service is not nearly on par. The service is very attentive and very very personable and nice. A tip top recommendation and I will definitely come back again.

Aufgrund der vielen guten Bewertungen dann zu einem besonderen Anlass endlich mal hier gewesen. Der Geldbeutel schmerzt, aber das wussten wir vorher. A perfect atmosphere for a lovely dinner. All the courses were interesting, thoughtful, and delicious. We've been to many Michelin starred restaurants and Faelt stands out. I thought they did a great job elevating each dish without being over the top or overdoing it, creating a welcoming place to enjoy the food and relax. While I'm tempted to give it a clean full score, there was one thing that put a bit of a damper on all of us (party of 5) at the very end of the dinner. First off I want to thank everyone involved for a really nice experience and excellent service. In addition I'd like to say that even as a predominantly non-wine drinker the pairings with each meal was fantastic. To the point where I outright enjoyed the combinations. The food journey from salty seafood to sweeter pastures with fruits, vegetables and gamy protein was fun and very tasty both in presentation, smell and taste. One of the highlights have to be said was the sauce we got with our main protein. It had layers of taste that just filled your mouth and kicked both the protein and wine pairing up to a wonderful wave of tastes and textures. However, the thing that brought us all down to earth rather hard after what was otherwise a fantastic discovery was the dessert (frozen, crushed brownie served in a reductionist fashion). While not bad by any means it didn't stand up to the rest. We were left with the impression that it may have been a dish made to salvage something rather than being something to finish off a thoughtful journey. At any normal dinner it would be alright, it was just such a stark contrast to everything else served this evening. Let me just finish by emphasizing that the entire experience as a whole was fantastic, especially considering the very generous pricing which should make this affordable for people to try such an experience. We may just have been a little unlucky with our dessert, so don't take it as me saying all desserts are bad; because the rest of the dishes showcases excellent craftsmanship and a passion for what they do. I would happily return and enjoy the experience again at a different visit to Berlin, so if anything I wholeheartedly recommend people to give the place a shot. Well worth the visit.

Im Rahmen der Eat Berlin sind wir auf das Restaurant gestoßen. Schon beim Eintreten haben wir gemerkt, dass es etwas Besonderes ist. Das Ambiente eine schlichte Eleganz. Die Dame und der Herr im Service habe einen 1A-Service hingelegt und haben keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Das Schöne ist, dass man der Küche so nah war und dass man das Gefühl hatte bei Freunden in der Küche zu sitzen, während man gemütlich ein Glas Wein trinkt. Beim Menü habe ich mich überraschen lassen und habe vorab das Menü nicht gelesen. Was soll ich sagen: Es gab Sachen, die ich nie essen würde, aber die Zubereitung der Köche habe meine Meinung ändern lassen. Danke an dieser Stelle. Das Menü war von Anfang bis Ende ein Traum und auf jeden Fall jeden Cent wert. Aber was ist ein Menu ohne die richtige Weinbegleitung. Diese war wirklich zu jedem Gang perfekt ausgewählt und harmonierte mit dem Essen. Das Faelt ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Gerne kommen wir wieder und freuen uns auf ein Menü in einer Atmosphäre wie bei Freunden.

Unser Besuch im Restaurant wurde mit großer Vorfreude erwartet. Der Service war zweifellos überaus zuvorkommend und freundlich, auch wenn die lockere Ansprache nicht ganz unserem Geschmack entsprach. Leider entsprach das Essen insgesamt nicht unseren hohen Erwartungen, insbesondere in Anbetracht des Michelin-Sterns und der damit verbundenen Preise. Besonders bedauerlich war, dass bei einigen Gängen die intensiven Raucharomen alles andere an Geschmack überdeckten. Das Dessert enttäuschte uns zutiefst, und der kalte Tee, der als sprudelnde Limonade serviert wurde, war gewissermaßen abenteuerlich. Eine positive Note war der ausgezeichnete Espresso und der offene Blick in die Küche während des Essens. Allerdings störte es uns, dass der Küchenchef sich mehrfach mit den Händen die langen Haare glättete und dann ohne Händewaschen die Speisen zubereitete. Wir waren zu viert, wovon drei Personen die Weinbegleitung wählten, und die Gesamtrechnung belief sich auf 984 €. Angesichts des Michelin-Sterns halten wir dies nicht unbedingt für zu teuer, aber auf Grund unseres Gesamteindruckes werden wir von weiteren Besuchen erst einmal absehen. Wir hoffen, unsere Bewertung dazu beitragen wird, dass die Qualität und das Gesamterlebnis in diesem Restaurant verbessert werden.

I want to share with you our experience at Faelt. I am not going to describe the dishes in detail. That has already been done by other guests and by the Michelin guide. That said, the food is wonderfully tasty and beautifully presented. It all tastes magnificent. The Konigsberg dish was a special highlight. I would happily eat a BIG bowl of this together with a big basket of their superb baked bread. The stilton dish is a great idea but some people might not like this. However, this was followed by the plum desert. I have read people complaining about the portions that are small, and with the plum desert I agree with this. I just wanted a bit more (or a lot more). For me this was the highlight of the meal. Well done guys. Faelt is well worth the trip.

Wir verbrachten hier eine sehr schönen und ungezwungenen Abend zu Zweit. Der Service war sehr freundlicher und unkompliziert. Wir haben uns von der Begrüßung bis zur Verabschiedung sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war sehr gut und überraschte mit einer etwas salzigeren Note als bei anderen Restaurants gewohnt. Aber das macht es doch letzen Endes aus, sich abzuheben und auch mal andere Wege zu gehen als alle anderen. Gerade in der Sterneküche sollt man auch mal anecken dürfen. Von uns aus gibt es volle Punktzahl und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Quite a nice discovery in Schöneberg! It’s a new Michelin starred restaurant with a set 8-courses menu. The menu changes every 6 weeks and every dish is well thought, quite original and brings a lots of flavor between the spices, the bouillon, the sauces or espumas. I especially liked the cabbage which is the signature dish of the menu. Also I usually don’t like wine pairing I decided to go along this time and wasn’t disappointed. The sommelier (a she) talks with passion about her wine and I had nice surprises, from a Sauvignon blanc that had the strength of a Chardonnay aged in oak barrels to a Spanish Pinot noir that went super well with the beef dish. Totally recommend!

This is going to be short. Loved the experience. The food was a lot of fun. While I agree with some one star reviews, the food started out salty, but by the main course actually was rather sweet. I assume the chef had an idea and a journey for the menu and overall the experience was amazing. Every dish brought something else, making it extremely difficult to figure out our favourite dish. Awesome experience, drink pairing was amazing. The only odd one was the red wine with the chicken. Snarky remark here, but 1* and you have Lavazza as coffee 😅

Ich hatte mich auf den Besuch gefreut. Das Restaurant ist räumlich kleiner als erwartet. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und nett. Dass man geduzt wird muss einem nicht gefallen. Der Rieslingsekt war großartig. Dann ging es Schlag auf Schlag. Nach 1,5 h waren wir durch, ungewöhnlich. Uns war es zu schnell. Die Antworten auf Anmerkungen des Chefs bei Bewertungen lassen überlegen was man schreibt. Ich schreibe für uns. Wahrscheinlich denken andere Gäste anders. Das Essen war uns insgesamt zu salzig und deshalb nicht angemessen schmackhaft. Man sollte dies äußern dürfen. Für ein 1 Sterne Restaurant mit entsprechenden Preisen passte für uns die Qualität nicht. Das Personal versuchte dies mit freiem Mineralwasser und einem zusätzlichen versalzenden Zwischengang gut zu machen. Wir wollten nicht sparen sondern unseren Spaß haben. Das ist dem Team leider nicht gelungen. Guter Espresso. Sorry für die Bewertung.

Nachdem ich jetzt 2 Nächte darüber geschlafen hab, kann ich sagen: Das war das krasseste kulinarische Erlebnis, das ich jemals hatte. Ich war und bin weiterhin so fasziniert von dem Konzept, das das Faelt auf die Beine gestellt hat. Eine angenehm lockere Stimmung und Atmosphäre, die Auswahl der Gänge war genau mein Ding, ungezwungen, freundlich und unfassbar lecker trifft es insgesamt am besten! Ein tolles mehrstündiges Erlebnis mit unbeschreiblich gutem Essen, sagenhaft passenden Weinen und einer wahnsinnig tollen Atmosphäre - tut euch und den Restaurants etwas Gutes und geht dort hin!

Ein wunderbares kleines, intimes Restaurant mit einem jungen und sympathischen Team. Kein Chichi, kein gekünsteltes Gehabe. Sogar die zwei leicht verschütteten Getränke waren nicht übel zu nehmen. Die Gäste an diesem Abend waren herrlich entspannt, unprätentiös und zum Glück gar nicht hip oder Mitte-like. Die Raumausstattung war aufs Wesentliche fokussiert und farblich schön reduziert. Nur die Toiletten fielen leider räumlich und was die Materialien anbelangt stark ab, aber dort verbringt man ja auch nicht den Abend 😉. Die Hauptsache, das Menü, war dafür wieder ein tolles Erlebnis, voller Phantasie und Abwechslung. Da haben sogar die spürbare Vorliebe für Rauchsalz und der einzige enttäuschende Gang mit dem frittierten Huhn dem tollen Gesamterlebnis keinen Abbruch getan. Die Weinauswahl war eine Offenbarung und auch die alkoholfreie Getränkebegleitung war witzig und überraschend. Der ganze Abend rundum gelungen.

Es werden einzigartige Gerichte serviert, die von besonders jungen und talentierten Köchen kreiert werden: die herausragendsten Teile des Menüs waren die herzhaften Gerichte. Im Rahmen unserer Fine dining Tour durch Berlin haben wir uns ins Faelt eingebucht, waren sehr gespannt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Der Wechsel aufs Spring Menu noch ganz frisch, wir waren fast die ersten. Es war ganz wunderbar, die begleitenden Weine passten perfekt, man lernt ja nie aus. The 12-course meal included 2 drinks and 12 dishes. The drinks were Poppy Seed Gin from Estonia and Pineapple, Lychee, and Mango Sauvignon Blanc 2021. The dishes were Carrot ice cream soup with lentils, Pea pannacotta with caramelized onion cream, Chive butter accompanied by a pretzel, Smoked eel with parsley root and foam, Charred pointed cabbage with mustard jam, caraway, crumble, and cress, Jerusalem artichoke wrap with grapes and shallots, Leek dumpling with smoked leek puree, octopus, and lentil foam, Frozen sour cream with pickles, jalapeno, and yogurt, Caramelized focaccia with pumpkin seed oil and stilton cheese, Kohlrabi flan with white poppy seed cracker and rhubarb, Vanilla-caraway ice cream with flaxseed chips, and finally, Japanese sponge cake with hazelnut cream, and brittle. Our favorites were mainly in the first half, with the lentil soup, smoked eel and octopus, and as a dessert the Japanese sponge cake. Some of the dessert dishes with very salty or spicy aspects were not for us, but the general dinner was a great experience. The price is also reasonable for This level of meal, and the service and ambiance including the music were great. Definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting a fine dining experience with a German twist.

Zehn-Gänge-Menü, wobei auch hier die „Unsitte“ Einzug gehalten hat, das Brot mit Beigabe mitzuzählen…war alles sehr aromatisch, überwiegend lecker. Die Begleitung mit Wein bzw. ohne Alkohol ist interessant und z.T. kreativ, aber letztlich überteuert. Die Mitarbeiterin bzw. Sommeliere hat bei Zutritt an den Tisch jedes Mal ohne Zögern/Warten das Tischgespräch unterbrochen, das fand ich unangenehm. Wir haben zu zweit mit Begleitung Wein und unalkoholisch 500 € gezahlt, das fand ich trotz des Sterns zuviel….

Great menu, excellent pairing. I specially found the non alcoholic pairing to be on point. It is hard to get good non alcoholic pairings in general, but at Faelt it was perfect. It was really hard to decide what was the best course as we enjoy them all. The service was also 5 stars, very friendly, attentive and over all a very cozy ambiance.

Dames, heren ook, laat alles vallen, pak de trein naar Berlijn en boek onderwijl een tafel bij Faelt. Wat een heerlijke avond heb ik hier onlangs mogen beleven. De ontvangst en de rustige aangeklede en accoustisch plezante ruimte met slechts een kleine twintig stoeltjes en een frisse open keuken zijn de amuses voor de rest van de beleving. Het menu kan worden begeleid door zorgvuldig gekozen wijnen, speciaal voor de zaak gebrouwen bier en een paar bijzondere en zeer smaakvolle zelfbereide non alcholische opties. Het menu zelf is opgebouwd uit een reeks spannende creaties die zonder uitzondering stuk voor stuk de tong strelen. Alles is in verhouding, op alle details is gelet. De sfeer is rustig, gastvrij en zeer professioneel. Men neemt de tijd om op alle vragen uitgebreid in te gaan. Faelt is een reden om Berlijn te bezoek. Wat doet u hier nog? Vort naar Faelt. M

Unfortunately, Balthazar 2 no longer exists as we knew it. The owner has changed. There is now only Asian cuisine and you have to like that. The ambience is visually no longer what it used to be. Everything dark green and gloomy. It's a shame that one of our favorite restaurants has been lost again.

We fulfilled my wife's big wish to eat at Tim Raue Restaurant's 2 star restaurant here! ❤️ As soon as we entered we were greeted warmly and in a very friendly manner and escorted to our table. We had already discussed for a long time whether we would both decide on the same menu or not. The right choice was for everyone to order their own desired menu: I had the “Kolibri X Berlin” and my wife had the “KOI” menu. Both menus were sensationally delicious! 😋😍👍 The service was incredibly attentive and very, very friendly. It was an incredible and very beautiful and very, very tasty evening! A very big thank you to Tim Raue and his team! 🫶

As a guest of the Rutz restaurant in Berlin, I can confidently say that my visit there was unforgettable. Sounds promising, but it doesn't hold up. The oysters and mussels were wonderful, but the rest was unfortunately disappointing. The ceviche was boring. Very small plates, but high prices. It seems uninspired and random, with no real common thread. The service was too arrogant for me. There was no recommendation or advice about the wine and the plates were carelessly placed in a very strange sequence. If the tipping expectations are not met, you as a guest will be treated condescendingly. That hasn't happened to me in a long time. I expected a lot and unfortunately I'm not sad that I can't do it again here.
