Service was nice and quick, but that’s the only positive note. I ordered the cheese spätzle and my boyfriend the Wiener schnitzel. Both were awful. Clearly frozen or ready to eat food. Expensive for what it was since we paid 40€.

The food was delicious. The service was excellent. The lady who served us really tried her best to speak English.

DON'T DO IT . . . unless you want to pay nearly 9€ for 0.75 liters of water that doesn't even come in a bottle, but in a carafe. No price for that water was on the menu. They just charged whatever they felt like charging. Spätzle drowning in cream sauce and oil.

Yesterday, the three of us had a very pleasant visit to the restaurant. The service was friendly and prompt, the food (cheese spaetzle) was excellent and quickly prepared, and the location was cozy. I would gladly go back!

The service was friendly, which was unfortunately the only positive thing I can say. Otherwise, I have to agree with the previous reviews: The beef goulash with spaetzle was particularly disappointing. The spaetzle seemed like reheated dry spaetzle, and the goulash tasted strongly of a convenience store. Given the prices, I expected much more. I sincerely hope the owners reconsider the quality of their food, because otherwise, I don't see much hope for the restaurant. There are several alternatives in Monschau that are significantly more convincing in terms of both taste and preparation.

The ambiance is pleasant. The service is prompt and friendly. The food is good. However, wheelchair users will need a fit companion.

We were fooled... If you want to be angry with yourself afterward, come here for food and drinks. Sprite from the large bottle from a few days ago, still. No Aperol Spritz available, so instead limoncello Spritz from a can that tastes like fizzy tablets. Dirty glasses. The pasta is spaghetti with cream, drizzled with oil. The carbonara is served with salmon? Okay, we misread that on the menu. The pasta prawn had five prawns and a lot of spaghetti with oil and chopped herbs. The restroom was clean.

What's served here defies imagination: a Limoncello Spritz that tastes like a cheap fizzy tablet in tap water and pasta drier than the deserts of Africa. This isn't a restaurant; this is a complete abuse of everything that food and drink should be.

They're pursuing an interesting business idea here! 90% of the tables were empty, yet our request for a few cold drinks was denied because we didn't want to eat anything. Well, good luck in the future!!

DO NOT GO HERE. You'll literally be turned away for wanting two coffees. Are you a sensible person? Then you won't even walk here long.

We ordered one cheese spaetzle and the other pepper schnitzel. Conclusion: The schnitzel was juicy, but the breading wasn't what you'd expect from a homemade schnitzel (it was blistered). The sauce was okay, as were the fries and coleslaw. The spaetzle itself didn't taste good, like sloppy, cheap cheese smothered in butter. Furthermore, the dish was cold, as if it had just been warmed up. They simply sprinkled it with canned fried onions and a bit of parsley. The salad came without any dressing and was placed on top of the spaetzle. Both of us who ate it had a bad feeling in our stomachs afterward. The price was okay compared to other restaurants. If you want good food, you'd better look elsewhere.

A magnificent restaurant. The chef, Joaquín, and the rest of the staff are very friendly. The food is excellent. Finding Spanish people in Monschau makes all the difference.

When you come from Seville and find a chef from Jerez, Joaquín, who cooks you wonderful food, it seems like everything's already there. Then you discover more Spanish and German chefs who treat you superbly. You couldn't ask for more: kindness, service, and quality.

We wanted to enjoy a coffee on the outdoor terrace. When we ordered, we were told that we wouldn't get any drinks without food. Never again.

After trying my bistro, I wanted to go elsewhere, and I was extremely disappointed. The quality of the food is very mediocre (tourist restaurant), the waiter was nice. 7 euros for a glass of wine with mediocre food is a steal.

Friendly service (Mr. Mo), simple, down-to-earth food – fries with sausage or schnitzel, spaetzle, and omelette. Black coffee on the terrace is only available in a pot, but there are also coffee variations. A very pleasant place for a quick stop. Clean restrooms!

We spent our lunch break between two appointments in the cafe's outdoor area and received super friendly service from Mo. I didn't eat anything, but the coffee was excellent :-) Lovely atmosphere in the heart of the old town.

The food was of the lowest possible standard, with ingredients likely frozen from a discount store. The "cheap" prices should have been a warning. The fact that they couldn't even finish the frozen cordon bleu was pretty disappointing. I didn't pay for the meal, but I had to make it clear. The waiter was very helpful; perhaps he'll find a better job one day.

We had some drinks and a small meal with our children. Food was good and super friendly interaction with children.

Rarely have I had such a disappointment: The service seemed, to put it kindly, very unmotivated. Everything took a very long time, sugar for coffee was only served upon request, napkins weren't available at all, and the ketchup I ordered with my meal only came after repeated requests. The food itself was simply not good. Greasy, barely salted, curry sauce laced with mayo, and ketchup that tasted like numb feet. Luckily, my companion didn't eat much at all, but unfortunately, I did because I was so hungry. But now I have stomach cramps.

We ate there with a large group of friends. The food was incredibly delicious and didn't take long to arrive. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would happily come back and enjoy the evening.

Seemed OK with their terrace in the sun, but alas....utter disappointment. The food was not properly cooked, lukewarm and tasteless and the staff appeared to utterly dislike the customers. So don't bother!!! Plenty other places to try!

I ordered spaghetti carbonara with cheese spaetzle. The spaetzle resembled wallpaper paste, and the lettuce on top was old, as was the tomato. But it got even better. The spaghetti with salmon was abysmally unloving, flavorless mush. I asked the chef about it, and the answer was, "It fits the food." They gave it to you, nothing more. Our dog ate most of it, which the waiter can confirm. What a shame, really.

Overall, it was okay, but I wouldn't eat here again! Positive: The food was beautifully presented, cooked through, and warm! Negative: There was a hair in my first dish (cheese spaetzle). Very unpleasant! The sauce in my second dish (hunter's schnitzel) was a bit too greasy for my taste, but it was edible! Likewise, my father's dish had too little to no sauce the first time around, but our waiter immediately contacted the kitchen and improved it himself, nice! The restaurant has room for improvement! Our waiter was very attentive, thanks again! However, in the age of digitalization, it's not possible to pay by card in Monschau, and that applies to almost all restaurants here!

No glutenfree menu but the waiter Mo helped us nicely, and we ate delicious gamba’s. Be aware, you can only pay cash!

You can get a table within half a minute during peak hours on the terraces. The cheese spaetzle in hunter's sauce is highly recommended. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who certainly contribute to the atmosphere and overall experience.

Fries were soggy and cold. Bratwurst and schnitzel were all deep-fried. Unfortunately, that wasn't the right choice; Monschau has other restaurants to choose from.

We had no idea we'd find Spanish people in this small town. Mo (waiter) and Joaquín (cook) were incredibly kind to us. We arrived a little late for dinner, and they served us without any problems. We chatted about many anecdotes and stories about Monschau, and they recommended many places to see in the surrounding area. We'll definitely be back. Thank you so much for everything, guys! 🙂

Don't go there! The host was unprofessional, staring at my girlfriend's clothes and addressing me as if I were his best friend. There was no teamwork in the service, and no communication between staff. We asked for one shared appetizer, but we received both the appetizer and the main course together. Furthermore, the pasta wasn't fresh as advertised. We waited a long time for a request to the waiter, such as a salt and pepper set, forgot the white wine, and asked twice for an ashtray.

We had a very good meal there. The price/performance ratio was excellent, and the service was very attentive. We'll be happy to return.👍👋

We were the only ones told that only food was allowed at the table. The other tables outside didn't really have food on them, and strangely enough, the place was almost empty afterward. Interesting concept... Schnitzel might have been better at the snack bar.

This is our second time here and we were absolutely thrilled. The ambiance is very inviting, the food is excellent, and the service is extremely attentive and friendly. The prices are absolutely fair. The outdoor seating is particularly lovely – ideal for relaxing under umbrellas. There's even a water bowl for dogs, which we really appreciated. We'd definitely come back!

We wanted to eat there. But when the unfriendly waiter brought the menu, that plan quickly vanished. The tattered pages on a cheap clipboard were supposed to be the menu. What's more, there were still food scraps stuck to the first page. Yuck!!! The health department needs to get involved.

When the weather's nice, it's a lovely place to sit outside. Good value for money.
