Tortilla chips were served with salsa on the house. Then we had the Fiesta Mexicana platter for two people. Everyone got a plate with 2 balls of rice and 3 different dips. The platter contained spare ribs, a meat skewer, 1 burrito, 1 x for everyone Chicken in chocolate sauce, 1 x taco shell, super tasty shrimp with peppers and onions and I don't know if I forgot something else, but everything was super tasty and super nice service. Gladly again at any time!!!

Food was uniquely delicious and price-performance ratio was okay. Service was ok, not exactly very attentive, I would probably have drunk more of the 3in or other drink. But everything was ok and very friendly

Very nice shop. Everything coordinated pretty well. It's pretty loud there but I think that's exactly what's part of it, an invigorating ambience. You could feel comfortable there!!! But.... You are not greeted at the reception even though the counter staff are looking at you next to the entrance door and the waiters who pick up the drinks there also seem to have no interest. First the head waiter greeted us in a friendly manner and an employee brought us to the table. We have reserved for 2 people. I was shocked because our table was right next to the next table and was only 5 cm apart from the next guest table. A table of 4 would simply be separated. The waiter who served us was completely overwhelmed and just wanted to check us in. He didn't take our order quickly enough and seemed annoyed. After we got the drinks and the people sitting next to us left, we were asked if we would like to sit somewhere else as they would need a table for 4. Kindly agreed. The next table was an absolute no go. The table was in the corridor that led to the guest toilets and which the waiters used to clear away the used dishes. I can't imagine how annoying that was. The employees there also looked very annoyed. Sending people from table to table seems to be very common there as we had another table right next to us where the same thing happened. It's better to avoid the table for two in the hallway, that's not possible. Please let the owner sit there and feel this uncomfortable feeling for yourself. Unfortunately I can't say anything positive about the food either. Ordered a plate for 2 people. Fiesta Mexicana. 24.90 per person. Prawns not cooked properly. The shock sauce over the chicken is a matter of taste. Enchiladas with vegetables were inedible, they smelled musty and the dough was soggy from the sauce. Then there was chopped stuff rolled up in a tortilla. It couldn't be drier or tasteless. Meat skewers are very tough so you need chewing stamina. Sparribs are OK, but the sauce is so sweet that you think you're eating baklava. Rice also felt inedible 3 days old. Even the salad that was put on the plate for decoration wasn't even descriptive. It had lost its freshness the day before yesterday. We also didn't get the tequilla that all guests get when the bill is drawn up. EC card payment not wanted. I'm really sorry, I had really high expectations and was so disappointed. I hope everyone just had a bad day. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we cannot recommend the restaurant to you.

Although the nachos were good, it took exactly one hour until we got fed up waiting and decided to cancel the main courses as my mum had surgery and couldn't wait literally standing for over an hour for some tacos. I really wish I had a better review but only 3 waiters for the whole place is insulting, the owner should be held accountable for this.

Very tasty food. But unfortunately a very long waiting time of over 100 minutes. We also had to wait half an hour for the reserved table. The music was very loud, so the overall noise level was high and you could only have a loud conversation.

We had to wait over 1 1/2 hours for the food and with 6 people we couldn't even eat it together because individual portions came later. The food was ok, but definitely not worth the wait. The volume in the restaurant was much too loud, which was partly due to the loud music. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to have a meaningful conversation like that.

We were at the Mexican restaurant in the middle of Düsseldorf. This one stands out for its friendly and perfect service! Super delicious authentic food. And draft beer. The restaurant is very rustically furnished with attention to detail. That was a perfect evening. Gladly again!

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Düsseldorf for 10 years now! A great location, great food, a nice atmosphere and super friendly staff! Very authentic and the food can be adjusted to suit individual spiciness needs! This is precisely why it is suitable for larger groups or a visit with the family.

The Mole was phenomenal. Its authentic. Real flavors I remember from Mexico, not changed to cater to the average German palette. Not as spicy as it would be, but, understandable. However, some of the burritos were questionable. Prepared fine but with simpler and less seasoned ingredients. The service was slow. It took us only 3 minutes to get seated but 30 minutes to place our order and an hour for us to get our food. We showed up at 20:00 and got our food at 21:42. Lots of small mishaps like not giving us eating utensils. However, they were friendly, good people. I’d like to make that clear. Perfectly fine. But yeah, 90 minutes is pretty unacceptable, so I can’t give more than 1* for service. The atmosphere is fine.

Ohhhh my God I have never experienced such bad service here before, complete disaster!!!! We've been eating here for over 10 years and I've never seen anything like this before. We've been waiting for our food for over an hour and were rudely held up with the sentence that all the guests came at the same time, what a statement that is! So very, very disappointed, it was once a favorite restaurant of mine and my wife. There was no reasonable excuse either!!! The fact that the cooking skills are very good is nothing to say here! I would have given three stars if the service had done more to apologize.

We were in the restaurant for the first time on Wednesday with several people and a small child. The two of us had the platter, which our child also ate from. End of the song: The child had diarrhea all the way through in the evening, and both parents had stomach pains all night long. We won't be coming back. A pity!

We ate here with friends for the first time on Saturday (July 13, 2024). We all really enjoyed the food🤌🏼I had grilled salmon with oven-roasted vegetables, highly recommended 11/10👍🏼In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is also right, you get large portions that will more than fill you up. As a starter we were served nachos with dip. The waiters were all very nice and friendly too.

That was our first visit to the restaurant. It was a recommendation. The food tasted good and good. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. It's sad when you order a second round of drinks while eating and after 30 minutes you have to remember where the drinks are....it was forgotten.... In that time you would like to order 2 more rounds. The restaurant wasn't even open here. Quarter filled...

Food super delicious. The prices are also justified and not excessive. However, the service still needs to work on itself. We would have to walk back and forth several times and ask whether we or individual people had been forgotten. We were a group of 5 people and we expected that we would all get our food at about the same time. However, that wasn't the case.

Went here last week to dine and drink with friends. The drinks are impeccable. I ordered piña colada and frozen margaritas and both tasted great. The ambience feels awesome and drinking with friends here makes it perfect. We ordered nachos as our entrada/appetizer which is delicious. It was my favorite. For my main meal, I got pollo enchiladas in tortilla wraps. It was also yummy but it arrived almost one hour from the time we were served the entrada. Our hunger has passed so we did not get to enjoy it as much as the nachos. But I want to give it another try because it is delicious. They accept cards as mode of payment. The toilet is on the basement and it was a bit challenging for me since I just got out from a knee surgery. Other than this, I recommend the place. Oh, don’t forget to make a reservation because the place is quite packed!

Good authentic Mexican with real flavors and very delicious cocktails. Price to food ration is reasonable. My concern is the food took forever after they served the cocktails and the single plate of nachos that we had for appetizer. Service could be better. But will come back for the food and the cocktails.

Unfortunately it has nothing to do with a Mexican restaurant. The food is very Germanized or goes to the extreme vegetarian with all the vegetable dishes. They use many sauces that are not even typical there. The menu is very confusing and poorly designed, there are dishes that cannot even be ordered... we ordered a Mexican dish for which one is forced to pay double the price of the menu? In short, for the quality of the food, the service of the staff who cannot even explain their dishes in good German… it is too expensive. We paid almost 100 euros for two people. An atrocity!

Food quality and taste does not match the high prices. I usually always go to Casita Mexicana and decided to try something new but needless to say, I will continue eating at Casita.

Very friendly service, excellent mojitos, great homemade tortilla chips and fine food! All around a great visit

We arrived just before closing time and only planned to have one shot each. The card is presented to us and it clearly shows grappa for €3.90. So after we order two and want the bill straight away, we suddenly have to pay €5.60 per grappa. The reason is supposedly that the menu is not up to date, the grappa that is offered there is not the best, they opened another, more expensive one for us, BLABLABLA. If this is ALLEGED, then why not take responsibility for the mistake and offer us the grappa for the cheaper price shown on the MAP? The €5.60 was NOT listed on the card, mind you. I'm not the type to argue so I left it at that, just wanted to get out quickly. It felt like a tourist trap where you think you can sell anything to a few drunk people. For my part, I initially wanted to tip a lot anyway which would have been over €11.20, but this experience didn't really motivate me to do so. By the way, we paid 15 euros, they gave us 3.50 euros. Since I was in a hurry to get out of there as quickly as possible, I didn't notice that they had allowed themselves a 30 cent tip. Really unpleasant experience, we won't go there anymore, especially considering that we originally planned to try the restaurant in the near future, but how are you supposed to feel comfortable there?

Wir kamen knapp vor Ladenschluss an und hatten nur vor je einen Shot zu trinken. Uns wird die Karte vorgehalten, auf dieser ist klar der Grappa für 3.90€ angeboten. Nachdem wir also zwei bestellen und direkt die Rechnung wollen, sollen wir plötzlich 5.60€ pro Grappa zahlen. Grund sei angeblich dass die Karte nicht aktuell sei, der Grappa der dort angeboten würde nicht der beste sei, man uns extra einen anderen, teureren geöffnet habe, BLABLABLA. Wenn dem ANGEBLICH ist, warum dann nicht den Fehler auf die eigene Kappe nehmen und uns den Grappa meinetwegen für den günstigeren, auf der KARTE ausgezeichneten Preis anbieten? Die 5.60€ waren NICHT auf der Karte gelistet, wohlgemerkt. Ich bin nicht der Typ für's Diskutieren und habe es dabei belassen, wollte nur schnell raus. Es fühlte sich so an wie bei einer Touristenfalle wo man sich denkt dass man paar angetrunkenen Leuten ja alles andrehen könne. Ich für meinen Teil hatte zunächst eh vor ordentlich Trinkgeld zu geben, der über die 11.20€ ausgeschlagen hätte, doch dieses Erlebnis hat mich dann nicht wirklich dazu motiviert. Im Übrigen, 15 Euro bezahlt, man hat uns 3.50€ rausgegeben, da ich in Eile war so schnell wie möglich da rauszukommen habe ich nicht gemerkt dass man sich selbst 30 Cent Trinkgeld erlaubt hatte. Wirklich unangenehmes Erlebnis, wir gehen da nicht mehr hin, gerade wenn man bedenkt dass wir ursprünglich vor hatten in nächster Zeit auch das Restaurant auszuprobieren, aber wie soll man sich da noch bitte wohl fühlen?

We were there today to celebrate a birthday. We had a small child with us and we have to say that we felt very comfortable right from the start. Our little guest got painting materials, a delicious scoop of ice cream for dessert and even though he ran into the feet of the service staff once or twice, everyone on the team was so nice and friendly to our little one, so we all noticed and liked it. For our birthday guest there was a great musical performance with a cocktail on the house and the food was simply delicious and fresh. Good and generous portions and the drink selection is also very good. We can highly recommend this (family-run) restaurant. Above all, we were very impressed by the cocktails. We'll definitely be back!

Best restaurant in Duss when it comes to 🇲🇽!

Nicely decorated restaurant. The service is well organized and you are treated politely. The order is taken quickly and the “boss” explains the dishes served. Our food was basically OK. but there is a lot to report. There was a greeting from the kitchen in advance: tortilla chips with salsa...very tasty...the main courses look great. Unfortunately, the small rice ball was less than lukewarm and the chicken in the taco was very dry and the guacamole was very tasty. We would have liked more typical seasoning straight from the kitchen...there is certainly salt and pepper and hot sauces on the table.

This is hands down one of the best restaurants in Düsseldorf! The service and the food were an easy 10/10. Specially Samy, he and the rest of the staff were really welcoming and made us feel at home in our first experience. Definitely recommended and will be coming again!

Damn good Mexican! Went in spontaneously with 12 people and space was immediately made available for us, thank you for that! When ordering, everything went smoothly and quickly, especially with so many people. Almost everyone was able to start eating at the same time. The taste is amazing, everything is fresh and hot, wonderfully seasoned, neither too much nor too little. We are all completely satisfied, with absolutely everything. 🤤

As always, finding a parking space in Ddorf takes a long time

Perfect as usual. Atmosphere and decoration is great. Food is delicious. Especially nachos chese platter and fajitas. Price is very reasonable i can even say lower than most of the restaurants in that area. There is public parking lot in front of the restaurant but usually it is hard to find parking place The owner is usually in the restaurant and usually he greets customers. İ think the new owner got the restaurant several years ago and he kept the quality of the food and service.

Good food with plenty of... Onions

From the food to the staff to the ambience, we had absolutely nothing to complain about! The various dishes are perfectly prepared, the service is super friendly and the atmosphere is very familiar and lively because all the tables are close to each other. Despite the restaurant being completely full, we didn't wait a minute too long for the food. Some dishes may be a bit too much for one person (those for 2 are advertised separately). If we come back to Düsseldorf next year, this will be our starting point ♡

Coming in you notice the pretty decoration and looks like a great place to eat at. I'll start with the staff: friendly but untrained. They brought things that we didn't order (which they later charged us for), took an eternity to bring something and sometimes we had to ask several times for something they forgot to bring. The food: awful. The chicken in the Enchiladas and Mole Poblano didn't taste at all fresh (more like it was frozen and unfrozen in a haste) and was completely unseasoned. The portions were pretty small, the rice that came with the enchiladas and Mole Poblano was literally 2 bites and a smear of frijoles refritos. I give it 2 stars, 1 because it's the lowest and the other one for the friendly staff, but for the price in Düsseldorf, I'd recommend going to another place where the value for money is better and the ingredients are fresh. I'm definitely not coming back.

Wir waren an einem Samstagabend im Bandido und hatten am Samstagvormittag online reserviert. Irgendetwas hatte mit der Online-Reservierung aber nicht geklappt. Trotzdem das Lokal brechend voll und alle Tische besetzt waren machte der Inhaber es in kurzer Zeit möglich für uns einen Vierertisch zu organisieren. Überhaupt, der Inhaber seine Frau und die beiden Töchter sind offensichtlich ein eingespieltes Team. Alles hat wunderbar geklappt. Atmosphäre ansprechend, Bedienung schnell und freundlich, Essen superlecker, Tequila kam auch, lediglich die Toiletten sind ausbaufähig.

We were at Bandido on a Saturday evening and made a reservation online on Saturday morning. But something didn't work with the online reservation. Even though the restaurant was packed and all the tables were occupied, the owner made it possible to organize a table for four for us in a short time. In general, the owner, his wife and their two daughters are obviously a well-rehearsed team. Everything worked out wonderfully. Atmosphere appealing, service quick and friendly, food delicious, tequila also came, only the toilets could be improved.

The food was ok. It wasn't exceptional, but it wasn't bad either. But I felt sick when I went to the toilet. The men's toilet is moldy. This is not acceptable at all.

Simply gigantic flavors! A great restaurant, very courteous service, despite being an apprentice they took a lot of time for us. The preparation of the food was very quick, as we requested. The prawns as a starter are very familiar but wonderfully prepared and with avocado they balance out the spice nicely. The atmosphere is very nice, very rustic, with Mexican music We are here on vacation, otherwise this restaurant could become our favorite restaurant 😊 Many thanks to the nice female waitress, who also presented the apprentice very nicely and looked after us very nicely. Good food, portions are quite large. When ordering, perhaps take into account that even some of the “starters” look like small main courses. The taste was great, service was quick and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I'll go there again when I'm in Düsseldorf again.
