We are long time customers of casita Mexicana, we usually go to Altstad or to pempelfort but it was difficult to park so we have change to the one in Golzheim. Since the begging we have had bad experiences with our waiters, the woman ones I need to be clear about this. Everytime for the last 5 times we have gone there we go because I like frozen Margaritas, well for the last 5 times I was told by my waiter we have too much customers and the bar tender will not do Frozen z margaritas you can have Mango or strawberry frozen margarita but not the traditional. Well we like the traditional , I will understand if it happened ones but every time we are there they tell us in a bad way the same thing, last time I was there with my kids and asked the bartender to talk to me so he came out and did my frozen margarita no fuzz. The woman waiter we usually have a tall , long black hair woman is not friendly , not nice with the customers, her way of provide service to customers is rude and not polite. We order refried beans in all the other casita Mexicanas they come warm in this one the beans where really really cold , we told our waiter same woman she is often there and usually she is unfortunately our waiter, her answer was we serve the beans cold here.🧐😒 If you can avoid this location do so this is not a restaurant that is worth your money to be served like if you are getting free food . Sad that this is happening at casita Mexicana

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, Essen wie immer sehr lecker. Zu Empfehlen ist die Vorspeise Trio und als Hauptgang der Casita Mix Teller.

Wir bestellen hier seit 2 Jahren 1 x pro Woche immer das gleiche Gericht. Preissteigerung um 40% mag noch ok sein. Teilweise (crema d‘atun) aber 40% weniger Inhalt das ist Abzocke.

Nice and fast service. Food is quite okay. If you make a reservation here you usually only get a 2 hour slot. Several vegetarian dishes to choose from. Price-performance ratio is okay.

Had burrito with spicy chicken, which wasn’t spicy. 1 burrito is too few for dinner as it has very little filling and there’s nothing on the side. My girlfriend had tacos with veggies but instead of tasting the veggies, everything tasted sour. And for some weird reason you can’t get these with guacamole. Also took very long for the food to be served. Cannot recommend.

It's totally okay that the terrace has to close at 10 p.m., but do you have to address the guests six times at 8:45 p.m.? It just wasn't fun to eat there.

At Casita Mexicana you get authentic Mexican cuisine from “real” Latinos. The food is really tasty and the prices are fair. A real must for TexMex fans.

So, the location is good, the staff is really friendly… But I found the food really disappointing. First of all, there are really no portions for a lot of money... Well Düsseldorf... The tacos were really poorly seasoned, I've eaten much better here in Germany. I wouldn't come here again.

We love Casita Mexikana! The burritos and sue margaritas are especially great. When the store is full it can be a bit loud and busy, but we really like that.

A very nice, atmospheric establishment. Anyone who loves Mexican fast food should definitely go. And Corona beer on tap will complement the delicious food.

Super freundlicher Service und schnelle Bedienung. Essen bestand aus 3 Gängen inklusive Dessert und alle Essen waren frisch zubereitet. Durch die weitläufige Terrasse fühlt man sich gut abgeschottet vom Verkehr und den Blicken.

Really nice restaurant! The food was fresh and really tasty. You can mix and match between "base" dishes and fillings, which means there is a combination for everyone. I also had a mango margarita and that too was really good. The service was extremely nice and fast and the atmosphere is really nice; a terrace decorated with colourful flags that makes you feel like you're in South America.

Very nice staff, super delicious food. Just a tiny note: the chairs in the restaurant are not very comfortable.

The food is actually delicious, we've been there a few times, but this is the last time. The service is just horrible, it's never been good, but now being ignored for ages and not being able to place an order even though the store wasn't very full... sry... we then left again, couldn't order anything... and went somewhere else eaten very tasty. Maybe you should talk to the staff...

We were at Casita Mexicana today and we have to say that the service was extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. When we sat down at a table, the staff clearly didn't like where we were seated. Instead of politely pointing this out to us, we were simply ignored and not served for 20 minutes. After we approached the staff ourselves, we were told (by an employee who was eating) that it would be better if we sat on the other side because there were more guests. The employee simply served each new table and continued to ignore our presence. We would like to emphasize that the entire terrace was open and only 4 tables on the left side were occupied. After other guests sat down on the right side of the terrace and were served in a friendly manner, another employee finally decided to serve us. Conclusion: The food can be fascinatingly delicious, but if the staff is unfriendly, it's not worth going to such restaurants.

I was there for the third and last time. The food is ok, but service is a disaster! You are ignored, the waitress is asleep or overwhelmed with 3 tables. A pity

I'll be honest, the food was disappointing (5/10). The quesadillas hardly tasted like anything and 4 such small pieces for €10 is a disgrace. The tacos were also rather subpar. Staff was nice and the facility was the highlight. I wouldn't go there again.

Really good food at affordable prices, the service is really slow though. Also it is really busy most evenings so book ahead.

I went to Casita Mexicana with my students from the International School , Spanish class. Everyone was so kind and caring! I'd like to thank the waitresses for going the extra mile and interacting with our students in Spanish. The cook also checked if the food met our expectations. Amazing team! Muchas gracias!!!!

I ordered food - WITHOUT CORIANDER - due to an allergy and what was in the food? That’s right, coriander. "It wasn't fresh." Unfortunately, it doesn't change the fact that I had an allergic attack and my throat has swollen shut ever since. I didn't have to pay for my meal and I was also offered water and tea. Also an ambulance. Nice that I was taken care of. It's a shame that I had to eat coriander before despite urgent requests.

I was there yesterday for the first time. I ate various things and had several drinks. Everything was excellent, very tasty and the service was super fast. We were served by two employees. They were attentive all the time, checking if we were missing anything or if we needed anything else. Their service was excellent as well. I highly recommend the place and obviously I will be back to keep trying new things.

We had ordered a table online and a stressed-out service employee assigned us a table. Normally you would have expected the employee to bring us a menu - unfortunately that wasn't the case. Two female service staff also didn't manage to serve our table. The atmosphere was very loud, the table was sticky with food from the previous guests and we had a good view of the front door. Incoming guests were harshly informed that they were being seated and were "stopped" with a corresponding sign in the middle of the entrance area. After 40 minutes we were no longer willing to wait. When I pointed out to a waitress on the way out that we weren't being served, she yelled at me "you have to wait!" No apology, no attempt to convince the guest about the company or the service. With the best will in the world, absolutely unacceptable, disappointing and definitely not recommended.

It was really good to have a dinner in casita mexicana. I really enjoyed and got really impressed that I was able to speak portuguese with the waiter.

Ich kam hier mit fast fast 20 Personen am Sonntagabend. Der Service war einfach nur erbärmlich ich werde 0 Sterne für das unhöfliche Personal geben. Unangemessener Service. Wir haben etwas bestellt und es wurde etwas ganz anderes auf den Tisch gebracht. Ein anderer Tisch bestellte etwas und das Personal kam an unseren Tisch. So verwirrt und dazu noch unhöfliches Personal. Wirklich erbärmlicher Service. Ich würde sagen, warum stellen Sie nicht extra Personal ein, wenn Sie so überlastet sind. Nur mit einer Bestellung, wenn Sie sich gestresst fühlen, dann sollten Sie nicht in dieser Branche sein. Wirklich traurig und enttäuschend und nicht akzeptabel. Erbärmlicher Service und super unhöfliches Personal. Immer überfordert mit wechselnden Bestellungen in weniger als 30 Sekunden, die auch nur einmal. Obwohl sie mir sagten, ich würde mehr bezahlen, brachten sie nichts von dem, was ich verlangt hatte, und holten stattdessen irgendetwas, womit sie verwechselt wurden. Food is simply delicious! Super fresh ingredients and good combinations. The star deduction is for the instant cheese sauce, the nacho appetizer plate with tomatoes, onions and cheese sauce, but WITHOUT standard guacamole (we had to order it separately, plus the portion is very large and correspondingly expensive for an appetizer) and the frozen strawberry margarita without fresh Strawberry puree, with strawberry syrup instead… Still: recommendation!

Even if the tables are empty (50%) , it seems they say it is reserved which was surprising, I got a table few days ago and saw it happening with another customer and today too.

Great (authentic!) food, great service and all restaurants are nicely and authentically decorated. However, very small portions for a hefty price.

Nice restaurant, but unfortunately the waiting time between ordering and the food being delivered to the table is extreme at an hour. When we asked, we were only told that it was in the works. The speed of food preparation with just one chef is not enough for such a busy restaurant. Unfortunately, a bad mood quickly arises. While you're waiting for your food, you just need a little something like nachos or bread with ajoli or something similar to bridge the hunger phase until the main course.

Food was quite ok however it took ages to serve us the food and one dish was never delivered. If they cannot serve so many people it would be better not to offer this. The young guy who served us was nice. Not recommended at all!

I would like to order something over the phone and pick it up, unfortunately that doesn't seem to be possible. Had to let the bell ring for 3 minutes and was then held up for 15 minutes. In the end we couldn't order and hung up in exasperation. It's not possible, you obviously don't need any more customers. A pity. Food is actually quite tasty.

Unfortunately not recommended. We arrived around 4:45 p.m. Everything was empty, but we were only allowed to sit directly at the entrance or in the narrow tube at the toilet. Thanks for nothing. Apparently everything was reserved, but there was no sign, the questions were answered in English even though I asked in German. Very strange.

A great place when you want the authentic taste of Mexico! The service is super friendly and one feels well received from the beginning, the kitchen offers an exquisite variety of options (also for vegetarians) at an excellent price and preparation time :) I definitely recommend it!

a flavor experience, they really have very interesting options, salty, spicy and a touch acidic. They also have vegan and vegetarian options (I would highly recommend the nopales option). The service from the waiters is always very friendly and the atmosphere feels very comfortable. There is a variety of tequilas and exquisite non-alcoholic options. For every taste ! ☺️

My visit to Casita Mexicana was a real highlight. The atmosphere of the restaurant immediately transported me to Mexico - from the vibrant decorations to the authentic music. So far I have always had positive experiences with Casita Mexicana. Today I ordered a burrito from Lieferando. You couldn't have tried even less. Basically a craft set that you can roll up yourself. For the price you can certainly expect more.

Great Mexican restaurant in Golzheim on the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke. I've been there several times: and I really enjoyed it every time. Here the food is freshly prepared in an open kitchen and you can watch the chefs do it. You can sit inside and outside; The freshly tapped beer and cocktails also taste great. I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance: preferably by phone.

It's actually a very nice restaurant with delicious food, but it's always very loud, the waiters and kitchen staff are shouting and the service leaves something to be desired. You have to wait a long time to be served and the staff is not particularly friendly. In addition, the staff does not answer the phone when trying to call

Food was not good, the tacos were too dry. But I don’t blame the restaurant for it since I understand this is definitely not Mexico or Texas, however - what I don’t understand is - why do they force us to pay a minimum 20% tip?? And of course we did because we are tourists and we are here for the trap, isn’t it? Let me break it down for you so you can learn: Tipping isn't mandatory in Germany. Instead, it's seen as a gesture of appreciation for a good experience. A tip is always welcome, but in Germany, it's usually based directly on the quality of service. If you're satisfied, leaving a tip is a way to show it. Meaning - customer will most likely tip you based on the level of friendliness or sourness expression on your face, but you can’t force people to give like a 3 year old. Got it? Right - reply to the below message from the restaurant: I am fully aware of the 19%, please. No children here, I don’t think you are one either. Whatever was stated in the bill, either VAT or Service charge - absolutely fine. I was clearly talking about the additional tips on top of everything. Let me re-iterate: we were asked to pay an ADDITIONAL 20% AS TIPS. I don’t need your money and this is absolutely nothing at all, please, I was just feeling UNFAIR for my fellow colleague who paid whatever was stated on the bill and then was forced to pay another 20% on top of that. Unfortunately I was not aware of this at that moment, I was told about the incident after we went back to the hotel. I understand my colleagues might not be well versed in German or in English, but they are mature, honest and responsible people. If this is how you treat foreign visitors - good luck and I hope you get what you want. Whatever is happening, happening for a reason.

If you want authentic delicious Mexican food you have to go here!! Ate a bowl once with the rajas con queso filling and burrito with homemade guacamole In short: both were very, very, very tasty!! At the beginning I thought that the bowl wouldn't really fill you up, but you actually felt quite full. In fact, the bowl 1:1 was just right as it said on the menu: “creamy and chilled but not so spicy”! Burrito was also more than tasty, anyone who loves guacamole will come away 100% satisfied. I also think it's really good that the dough on the burrito is lightly fried. I've had different experiences with other Mexicans, so good work Edit: Now I also ate quesadillas with guacamole and nopales.....and they were delicious!!!!! Especially with nopales it's just a real pleasure. And one more thing, if you haven't tried the Agua de Jamaica yet, do it now!!! It tastes so good and refreshing, it's indescribable Even the small side salad was really deliciously seasoned, I don't know how!? Employees seemed a bit overwhelmed or stressed but understandable. On some days it can and was actually quite busy, but it's still nothing earth-shattering ~ I'll definitely come again if you feel like really good Mexican food and I can only recommend it to everyone :)

I didn't like it that much... The food wasn't as good as old town... I tried some nachos that barely had anything or sauce and I ended up with a whole pack of nachos with no sauce left or anything , and when I asked if they would put sauce on it, they told me I would have to pay extra for a dip... The sweet michelada seemed extreme to me... I had never tried a sweet michelada before and when we asked the waiter, he said... here we prepare them with sugar like this... God, someone tell me where the idea came from. When I told him I had hot sauce wanted, he said to me... uh, I don't know if we have one because we're not that Mexican... uh, I thought it was called a Mexican house... anyway, I'll just give this Golzheim two Stars for the service and quality

A truly delicious Mexican restaurant, the dishes are authentic, fresh, home-cooked, and the crowds of customers prove it. Probably one of the best Mexicans I've ever known.

Very great atmosphere. It was my first time eating Mexican food and it was really good. The selection of drinks was also good. Delicious appetizers. The food came quickly and we didn't pay much. Parking situation was okay, but I don't know much about Düsseldorf.

The food was very tasty BUT the ratio euro-calories was very bad. The price is ridiculously high for the amount of food that we got. In my quessadilas there were only 4 small pieces of meat. So at the end, you are paying for two tortilla with small 4 pieces of meat with a bit of salad 16 Euros which should cost not more than 8-max10 Euros.

I want to use this review to simply say THANK YOU for this super nice gesture (see photo)! I had 2 quesadillas (very tasty with the cactus filling) delivered to my office in the evening because it was taking a little longer... but I never expected to see such a personal and heartfelt message on the box. So whoever it was, feel hugged <3! Your box is now permanently in my kitchen as a souvenir and gives me extra motivation every day!

Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht. Insbesondere zu Messezeiten sollte man reservieren. Leckere Magaritas und Estrella Bier. Ich hatte zwei verschiedene Quesadillas mit Hühner- & Schweinefleisch. Schmackhaft, gut gewürzt. Sehr freundliches Personal. Es ist leider nur bei voller Auslastung etwas schwierig an Getränke zu kommen. Tolles Ambiente. Im Sommer mit Biergarten, allerdings direkt an der Ausfahrtsstraße gelegen. Würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

I had a pollo en salsa verde and a pastor quesadilla. The chicken one wasn't anything special, kinda bland. The pastor on the other hand was mindblowing. Loved the seasoning, the meat to cheese ratio. I could have had a few more of those, kinda addictive stuff. Will surely visit again if in town!

Niemals werdet Ihr mich als Gast begrüßen dürfen. OK, dass eine Servicekraft kein deutsch spricht, mag ja charmant sein. Um nur mal eben auf die Toilette zu gehen, fragte ich höflich nach und reichte ihr 50 Cent. Daraufhin musste die Bedienung erstmal nachfragen und meinte dann, dass es 1,50 € kosten würde. Habt Ihr es so nötig?

Arguably the best place to visit in Düsseldorf. The food is so good I beg my friends and family to go. Most employees speak Spanish (English too!) and I often try to practice my Spanish with them, and they are all wonderful people with great hospitality. The decor inside is very unique, almost rustic, with the Latin vibe. They offer menus in multiple languages, which is always good. The staff always look like they are having fun. My favourite dish is the tacos asada (with extra cheese) but I also love the burritos and quesadillas. The menu is a simple build-your-own style which allows everyone to enjoy something. The Mexican culture shines through in every aspect of this restaurant. It is truly a great place to eat.
