Casita Mexicana Golzheim in Düsseldorf

There was too little in my last order, and you didn't acknowledge it, claiming that everything is weighed the same with a spoon, but even a blind person can see the stark difference in how little is in this portion. I should complain by email and send a photo, but photos aren't accepted.

Burrito is amazing. It actually feels different than just a kebab a la mexico. Just right spicy, with cheese. The only downside it's impossible to eat without a fork because it falls apart like a taco.

It was all very nice and delicious. A nice Latino American feel. I always enjoy going there.

I celebrated my birthday on Saturday, April 26, 2025 and it was really the best decision. The atmosphere and the food were perfect. They decorated the tables and were kind enough to write me a message. The food was on time and tasted great. The staff was super friendly and the waitress who served us was very cheerful and friendly. I felt like I was at home! Thank you Casita for making my day very special.

The waiter gave totally other order and had to be payed after clearly made the mistake. Was not rush hour and totally not acceptable to pay full amount for two dishes that were not what we asked for. Way better restaurants and service 10 meters around

Attention: with the same prices, they only sell filtered tap water instead of mineral water. When we first asked, they said it wasn't tap water, but premium water. But then it would be conceded that it is filtered tap water, with or without carbon dioxide. I have enjoyed eating at the Casita for several years. But now, unfortunately, some things have changed for the worse.

Best mexican food in town. 🇲🇽 I ordered via Uber Eats to collect it. The food was fresh and ready to collect 15 min after my order. The burrito 🫔was one of the best I had so far. The quesadillas 🌮 were also great. I can absolutetly recommend this restaurant. 🔥

This Mexican restaurant completely meets my expectations. It's beautifully and Mexican decorated inside. The food tastes great and looks just as delicious and tasty. The staff is also super nice. In my opinion it is a great restaurant and for the price it is worth it to have such a great meal. But be careful the food could be spicy. But there is a children's menu for children. Very very fine. My little sister was even given a picture to paint without being asked. This restaurant is worth it

My daughter has hypoglycemia, she is diabetic, and went into the restaurant and asked for a glass of cola, which of course she also paid for. She told the waitress exactly that. The waitress then sent her away, saying they wouldn't sell drinks individually, she should go to a booth... an absolute no-go!!!

When we entered the store at 6:25 p.m. we were nicely shown to our table. We were told it was still being cleaned. Well, the dirty dishes were cleared away. The cards were then quickly brought to us. We left the shop at 6:50 p.m. because the waiter skillfully ignored our friendly looks and didn't want to take any drinks or food orders. The family that entered the store after us already had drinks and appetizers on the table. As we left the store we wished everyone a nice Sunday evening. This was reciprocated by the friendly staff.

Well, if I have to be completely honest: the tables are so close together that there is a bit of a lack of privacy, but that is forgivable given the gastronomic situation. The fact that the main course came less than 5 minutes after the “starter” wasn’t really great either. The service was very friendly, the food was excellent. Despite the small shortcomings mentioned above, it is by far my favorite restaurant. I recommend it to my friends and will definitely come back soon. I don't want to give any misleading information about the costs because we have explored the tequila menu in detail. The prices for the food are absolutely reasonable.

I am Mexican and I find a super Mexican place so far from my country. Excellent very Mexican food and drinks! Excellent service from the staff only as we Mexicans know how to do! I loved seeing people from various countries and cultures enjoying Mexican cuisine there. A very Mexican global and inclusive place!

I visit this place very frequently, but one bad experience can ruin it. Unfortunately, the service today (19.02) was handled by the most racist lady. I never give any negative reviews usually tends to skip if experience is bad.

Gotta say, I was really disappointed with the service. Booked a table for Valentines day weeks in advance, upon arrival they sat us somewhere in the back. There was a band playing, so it would of been nice to see the band, instead we had a nice view of the cutlery shelf. We were rushed through the whole evening, ordered a starter and a main, they brought both things together for some reason. Food was pretty good, but too expensive for a burrito that was falling apart and a few veggies. Sorry, but you guys need to improve a lot of things. The restaurant is nice and has a lot of potential, but you kinda ruined it for us.

Absolutely authentic Mexican food, nicely decorated shop and prices that are more than fair! We were in Mexico for 3 months and had wanderlust and this shop took us back again. Absolute recommendation!

The tacos are delicious and the staff is very nice

The food tastes very good. I'm not a stingy person, a good dinner can cost a bit, but in my opinion the portions are very small and don't contain enough meat and sauce. The side dishes aren't a hit, if you don't feel like dry nachos with little dip for €9 you'll probably have to order two main courses or share them, I think that's also the host's plan, because that quickly adds up to a large sum. If, like in the USA, you expect a heavy burrito or cassadilla filled to the brim with cheese, meat and vegetables and bombarding your palate with flavor, you will be disappointed here. In the end it's just rice, beans, avocado and a few strips of beef in a wrap, nothing earth-shattering. Too bad. I found the staff to be friendly, even if you had to wait a long time for the bill. The terrace is also very nicely decorated.

The Mexican food tasted delicious. Sitting at our table was a bit cramped, but it didn't hurt our good mood. It would be good if there was some bread to enjoy the starter. That would have been good, especially when eating the delicious starters. Overall we felt very comfortable.

Das Ambiente passt, man fühlt sich wie in Mexiko. Der Service ist auch sehr freundlich und schnell. Die Getränke- und Speisenauswahl lässt für Liebhaber der mexikanischen Küche keine Wünsche offen. Das Essen selber ist auch lecker. Aber: das Preis -Leistungsverhältnis stimmt leider nicht. Die Portionen sind sehr klein und um wirklich satt zu werden, reicht ein Hauptgericht und eine Vorspeise leider nicht aus. Hier müssten entweder die Portionen grösser werden, oder die Preise reduziert, damit man sich 2 Gerichte "gönnen" kann.

The strategy of putting the tip first at the time of paying with prices of 10, 15, 20 euros is somewhat abusive because if you are paying a bill of more than €50, leaving a tip is obligatory because as a customer I was not provided with the information, I consider it abusive and deceptive. It is not that the answer is that the money is returned, it goes beyond the service and the transparency with which it is served. The client should be able to decide but forced and without information and then be able to have the excuse that we are sorry, it seems disrespectful to me. The waiter earns a salary but expecting the client to pay €20, €15 and €10 in each bill to fix the salary and increase it is abusive.

The ambience is really Mexican style and the service is also super great. We first had a table that we didn't like and when we asked, we were moved as soon as another table became available. The food was delicious and also pleasing to the eye, the margaritas were very tasty, good mix... Not too much and not too little alcohol. We had a successful evening.

Well-attended restaurant with colorful furnishings. The food was good, but everything seemed to be already ready as no special requests could be made. The service was a bit rough.

Nice, authentic Mexican restaurant. The concept is simple: you order a base (e.g. buritos, tacos, ...) and (one or more) fillings. The nachos are great. Super tasty sauces and side dishes. Mexican beer is available on tap. The service is quick and friendly. No long waiting times. The only point of criticism: the ambience. The tables are very close together and it's quite loud and hectic.

Food & ambience is great. But over time the prices have become really outrageous. Yes, everything will be more expensive. But now there is no longer even a small side salad with the quesadillas, but rather a bland sauce that no one needs. It's a shame... I used to go there a lot. Now I might go somewhere else for the same money.

Friendly and the atmosphere is super cool. The store looks clean and tidy. Nobody speaks German, only English and Spanish. This still makes communication difficult. Bring plenty of time, as the food takes a long time to arrive in a smaller group of 8 people. The food is carelessly prepared and tastes just okay. Not really convincing. Prices with drinks and food per person can be under €15. With a coffee and a margarita it comes to just under €25.

I had an amazing experience at this Mexican restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and the service exceptional. We ordered the nachos, and they were simply delicious: the crispy tortillas, the perfectly melted cheese, and the fresh garnishes gave it the perfect touch. We also tried the margaritas, and how good they were! Balanced, fresh and with just the right touch of tequila. Also, I can't recommend Jaime's quesadillas enough, a true delight. The filling was perfectly seasoned, and the tortilla was golden to perfection. Overall, an excellent place to enjoy authentic Mexican food. I will definitely return!

The Casita Mexikana in Golzheim is definitely worth a visit! The food was simply outstanding, with authentic flavors that perfectly reflect Mexican cuisine. Every dish we tried was freshly prepared and presented with great attention to detail. The service was equally outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive and always tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. A small downer, however, is the rising inflation that is becoming noticeable. Prices have risen and it's a shame that you can no longer afford to visit there as often. Nevertheless, the quality of the food and the service make Casita Mexikana a special place that you should treat yourself to every now and then. Overall a great experience, even if the prices can be a bit of a challenge at times!

I was there for the first time. I was thrilled. Very nice staff, great ambience, clean and really great food. Very well seasoned with fresh ingredients. I would actually like to deduct half a star because I didn't like the daiquiris. This is certainly a matter of taste, but I found the strawberry daiquiri very tasteless and very watery. But that was really the only criticism. The other cocktail I had and my friend's non-alcoholic cocktails were great.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem sehr netten Service, sowie dem guten Essen. Das es keine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Gerichten gibt, spricht sehr für eine gute Küche. Die Tequila- und Mezcalauswahl war ebenso perfekt. Außerdem waren wir als begeisterte Tequila-Trinker sehr überrascht das es dort den wirklich guten gab und nicht den 0815 Tequila den man nur mit Salz und Zitrone runterkriegt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung. Das Ambiente ist sehr authentisch und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist das zumindest unser Tisch sehr eng in der Ecke stand und wir uns wirklich reinquetschen mussten. Auch die gute Lage, nahe der Rhein-Promenade gefiel uns sehr gut und lud direkt zu einem Spaziergang ein. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

We were there with 6 guests on Friday evening and were warmly welcomed. Our waiter was "Muy Bien"! The food came to the table in no time and was really delicious. We shared the mixed appetizers “Mix de Botanas” and the “Nachos Tres Quesos” and you could have eaten your fill of those too. The main courses were mixed plates, quesadillas and bowls - all great. My recommendation “Conchinita Pibil”! The cocktails were also very tasty - Mescal Mule was really good. All in all, an entertaining and delicious stay. I just found the chairs uncomfortable and we all tripped over the small step in front of the toilet. But that's it for the shortcomings.

The allergen information is very clearly marked on the menu, and it also makes sense. I had done some research online and found Casita Mexicana in FindMeGlutenfree and other forums. It is not a specialised restaurant but my experience was good. I could order nachos, tacos, quesadillas (one sort), bowls or salads with several filling options. I found my quesadillas very tasty 😋 but most importantly, no uninformed questions were asked by the staff when I mentioned gluten-free.

We love the food at Casita Mexicana and have eaten there many times! 😊 The Casita in Golzheim is also larger than the others, so you can usually always reserve a place.

Essen schwankt zwischen gut und sehr gut - könnte noch konsistenter sein. Service ist freundlich, aber nicht super aufmerksam; es könnte schneller sein, ist aber ok. Wir hatten eine online Buchung für die Terrasse gemacht (war anzukreuzen) und auch einen bestätigenden Wunsch hinzugefügt. Als wir kamen, hieß es "Ihr Tisch ist drinnen". Zum Glück war draußen auf er Terrasse noch etwas frei. Es bleibt aber der Eindruck leichter Desorganisation.

Exquisite Mexican restaurant. Wide variety of dishes with vegetarian alternatives. Very friendly and attentive staff, certainly a place to repeat.

The tacos were extremely dry, there was hardly any salsa on them. Unfortunately the taste was very disappointing. Instead of tacos with prawns, I got tacos with tomatoes. Every time I'm at Casita and ask the waitress or kitchen to serve the tacos warm or stuffed, I get annoyed or angry looks. For an order of €15.50 and such small tacos, I find this disappointing. When you order takeout, the staff doesn't seem to care whether the food tastes cold, good or bad. What's the point of offering tacos if you can't even get the tortillas done properly - dry and without salsa? I prefer to snack on a simple tortilla, it actually tastes better. I also know that two slices of lemon are usually served with it, but today I didn't get any again. Instead there were a few diced onions, maybe 10 small pieces, and that was it. The prawns were also extremely dry. How you manage to get them so dry is a mystery to me. A disappointment. If anyone asks me if I recommend Casita to try good Mexican cuisine, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Spending so much money for so little quality is not worth it. If you want tacos, you're better off finding a recipe online. For less than €30, you can buy ingredients for up to 7 people at Aldi, 3 well-filled tacos each with delicious meat or vegan alternatives - and even have leftovers. €15.50 for four dry mini tacos is completely excessive. The only positive thing I can say about the store is the friendly service - as long as you don't ask for anything specific. However, as soon as you ask for a special preparation or a little more filling, you either get unfriendly looks or the prices suddenly become unnecessarily high. It's a shame, Casita was still a great store in 2015. Who knows what happened that the store has now become so tasteless. Maybe the chefs are tired of it, or maybe no one wants to properly represent Mexican cuisine. Very disappointing.

The outside area is right at an intersection where a tram runs every 5 minutes. We sat outside as it was a great summer evening. I think the prices are borderline. I had 2x 20 centimeter wraps. I used two fillings, which cost additional money, even though I couldn't fit much into the wraps. So I came to €22 for these 2 wraps with little filling. There was just a little bit of sauce, nothing else. For the price I get 1 3/4 pizzas or more than 2 good kebabs. In terms of quantity, this was more of an appetizer. So it was way too expensive because it didn't taste particularly Mexican. We won't be coming back. 70€ for a salad, 2 wraps, a brownie and 4 drinks.

Casita mexicana is one of my favourite places in Düsseldorf and for sure the best for Mexican food. We love the nachos, the burritos 🌯 , the quesadillas and the cocktails there. My favourite is margarita 🍹 classic or tequila sunrise. I totally recommend it. 👌
