The food was great, I can only recommend it to everyone. The mix platter in particular is made with a lot of love and tastes great. The service wasn't that good today. The staff is friendly, but we were moved twice even though I had reserved. All in all, I can still recommend it.

I found the food extremely good, however it is very expensive and the portions are very small. I ordered 2 big quesadillas, ate them in less than 5 minutes and was still hungry afterwards. This is the first restaurant where I spent around 20€ and was still left with the feeling that it was not nearly enough food. A friend of mine I was with said the same thing about the portions being too small and was also still hungry after eating what he ordered.

Nice atmosphere, you think you've been in Mexico for a short time 🇲🇽 Great service, really on point! And the food was also very tasty. There is a parking space right in front of the door.

Clear recommendation!!! 🌮🌮🌮 Update from last visit 10/30/24: My unfortunately new and worse rating is due to the fact that the quality level of the Casita restaurant in Bilk has decreased significantly. My partner and I always enjoyed eating at the Casita in Bilk. A few years ago I also left an extremely positive review, including pictures, on Google. However, this no longer reflects the Casita in Bilk today. 1. Our waiter simply stopped serving us after we ordered the appetizer and drinks. So I had to attract the attention of a second waitress. 2. The quality of the starter, in our case "Trio", was no longer as usual. The three sauces provided were clearly reduced to a smaller size and very watered down/stretched, so that the taste was very disappointing. 3. Our main courses: Two quesadillas each with different fillings. - the fillings were significantly less (I was able to compare through the many visits and pictures that I always took at Casita) - the fillings were stretched with a high proportion of tomatoes - Due to the very high tomato content, the four "different" fillings tasted very similar4. the prices for the fillings have been increased significantly I could still understand the price increase since inflation has increased slightly. But lowering the quality and quantity is very customer-unfriendly. We really enjoyed going to the casita in Bilk and up until now there was no alternative for us because we didn't want one. Now we will look for another Mexican restaurant for our next “Mexican hunger”.

A real Mexican restaurant! Eat like in Mexico! Gladly again and again!

It was very tasty, the staff is very friendly, but it's cuddly factor. Because the tables are very close together. But it is very well received. People who are claustrophobic or don't want to be so close to other people should consider it. A mistake, though, because the food is mediocre.🤤🤤🤤

Unfortunately, our last visit to Casita Mexicana was very disappointing. Despite there being free seats inside, we had to sit outside in the cold weather. The staff was uncooperative and unfortunately also unfriendly - they were treated really rudely when we asked for a solution. No blankets, no accommodation, and no understanding was shown. It's a shame, because we always enjoy coming here, and the food was really tasty this time too. Unfortunately, this stay disappointed us very much.

The most Mexican I know so far. Was in México myself and it's very close. But be careful not to compare it with Germanized Mexican food. Price performance rather more expensive. Cocktails only interesting at happy hour - otherwise too expensive. Nice staff

Der Laden in Bilk ist recht klein und im vorderen Raum sehr laut. Das liegt daran, dass sich dort die offene Küche befindet. Das Essen ist hervorragend! Wir hatten Füllungen mit Hühnchen und Rind. Man kann unterschiedliche Würzungen des Fleisch wählen. Vor allem das Rind war authentisch wie in Mexiko gewürzt. Wir haben uns mit Freunden die Vorspeisenplatte geteilt. Diese war sehr reichlich und sehr lecker. Der Service ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Hier passt alles, Essen, Atmosphäre und Service. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Small authentic and tasty Mexican with delicious tacos. The tacos may look small, but if you're moderately hungry, they're more than filling. Clear recommendation for the Nopales and Tinga! We were there on a Friday afternoon around 3 p.m. and there wasn't much going on. Accordingly, the food came quickly. In terms of price it was a few euros too expensive for me, if you're looking for value for money you should get either the quesadillas or the burrito.

Seven of us were there after work and enjoyed the evening. The food tasted so good that we ended up ordering a second portion.

So…just good and really Mexican and not heavy TexMex. I had tacos here and even though it's much easier to do it at a market in Mexico, for example, this is fresh, light, spicy, very tasty and, as you would expect, very Mexican. Very pleasing. I find it quite authentic and not so adapted. Ambience simple and just as appropriately authentic. I love it😀👍

Yo estuve en el de Bilk en Düsseldorf. Celebramos el 18 cumpleaños de mi hijo en familia, y la verdad, todo buenisimo, y las porciones enormes! . Las margaritas son extraordinarias! Y el servicio muy atento y amable. Repetimos sin duda! Lo recomiendo 100%

The food was really very good and is worth recommending. Mexican really unbeatable I had the burritos and nachos as a starter, very nicely prepared :) The ambience is just a small restaurant but for me everything was harmonious :) The outside decoration suffers a bit but well 30 degrees and crispy lavender didn't make the food any worse :)

The cuisine is certainly good but not outstanding either. "A la diabla" is imagined to be much spicier and more authentic, the cocktails take some getting used to. Although you can sit outside, the ambience is unfortunately unattractive.

Very tasty and original Mexican food. The main language spoken in the kitchen is Spanish and everything is really flawless. Didn't have to wait long after ordering and wasn't even disappointed after a few visits.

As a team, we order relatively often and actually enjoy ordering from “Casita Mexicana”. But even though the food there is really delicious, we unfortunately have to point out the extremely disappointing service, which is in great need of improvement. During our last three pickups alone, Lieferando informed us that the preparation time was around 15 minutes. However, when we picked it up we discovered that the food wasn't ready or even being prepared and we had to wait an additional 45 minutes on site. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable, especially when we plan to have a communal meal during our lunch break. It is also difficult to communicate with on-site staff. Often we were "skillfully" ignored and the language barrier didn't make it any easier to clarify our concerns. It seemed as if no one felt responsible and in some cases we even received aggressive answers that we had to wait because the customers were ahead of us Eating place would have priority. We hope the restaurant works on these issues because the potential for great service is definitely there.

The food was super tasty and fresh. The prices are a bit higher than in other restaurant, but you get high quality food. Service and atmosphere are good. I would book a table.

Fresh food; quickly served. However I really dislike cilantro, which is why I choose a cilantro-free option. Unfortunately cilantro was added to all of the plates. Next time I will be specifically ask to not include cilantro.

Very small, very cute Mexican restaurant, it's always a bit like a vacation. The food is good but simple. We go there every now and then because the atmosphere is very nice.

The food is always delicious, especially the crepe with goat's milk caramel is highly recommended as dessert.

Everything was delicious, but the tacos al pastor stole the show---amazing! All the staff were super friendly and efficient. We had a great dinner.

I visited spontaneously on a Tuesday evening and ordered the tacos with nopales and al pastor. They were delicious and authentic. In Mexico you would also get your tacos in two small corn tortillas. But four small tacos was not enough for a main course and should be listed as a starter. I followed up by ordering a quesadilla tinga which was also delicious. Mexican food should have a bit of heat but it was completely mild despite the chili icon next to the dish. They have definitely adjusted the recipes to suit a German pallet. I asked for some hot sauce and was shocked that they didn’t have any bottled hot sauce. The server gave me a menu and said I could order the homemade salsa as an extra for 1.90€. I’ve eaten Mexican food all my life and it’s the first time I’ve ever been asked to pay additional for salsa or that bottled hot sauce wasn’t even available. I supposed it was another German culture adaptation since one needs to pay extra even for ketchup on french fries in this country. Then a few minutes later the German customers sitting next to me also asked for salsa from a different server and it was brought right away, without handing them a menu first. Häää!? Needless to say I was irritated at the different treatment I received as a non-German. Personally I wouldn’t return but if you visit I recommend bringing your own hot sauce if you like it spicy and ordering double portions if you’re hungry.

Tastes good but very small tacos for 13.9 euros, no way anyone would be full after 4 tiny tacos, and if you want special fillings for the tacos, it would cost extra for 2-3 euros per variant. But lunch meal seems to be fair deal for the price.

Casita is a small local chain of Mexican restaurants. The food is good and the service is friendly. The decorations are nice and I believe is is a good option for drinks and dining. We came for dinner and had a burrito and a salade. We missed the rice in the burrito and the presentation was rather plain. The at all experience was good though.

The food is tasty, but could be a little more for the money

The food is really worth recommending! Delicious. The selection of vegetarian “fillings” is also great and tastes great. The concept that the dish consists of two “steps”, i.e. the base (taco, bowl etc…) and the filling is also great because you can customize your meal so much. Personally, I would think it would be nicer if there was a little more space on site, but that is a matter of taste. The outside seating is also somewhat isolated from the street, so you can still eat comfortably. There is also a parking lot right around the corner, practically across the street, which is really a dream for Düsseldorf. (Paying, but definitely worth visiting the restaurant)

The food was good but really expensive for the quantities. My friend didn't get full from just one portion. I've just had enough. I think that's to be expected at 17 euros.

Crazy, I just walked past because I wasn't sure. Then I decided to do it and it was definitely not a bad decision! Thank you, it was so delicious!

I have just had the worst experience in a restaurant in my Life. I asked for a change of margarita they charged me the one I gave back. The reason why I gave it back it was because it didn’t taste tequila and then they have to refund me money. The waitress did it without my cc and I asked why I have to pay again.. Then I asked for the proof of refund and then the bad experience start. I hope nobody tells you one in Spanish in the service «me chupa un huevo » which means, you suck my eggs. I asked for the claiming book and the waitress name and they didnt want to provide me with. Unfortuntately the food was good but i have never felt in a place so bad. Three waitress against me and they kicked me out of the bar and the only person with manners the cooker. I wish them good luck with such a busy period and please to replace the staff for the benefit of the business

The food is fantastic, the service is very friendly (and multilingual). We had to wait a little longer to order and had to remind the waitress about our second beer, but that was manageable. The shop is in the middle of Bilk, so if you want to sit outside, you sit on the street. It didn't bother us, all in all a successful evening!

Good service, me and my friends could have ordered in both english and german, had altogether a very nice aesthetic, flavourful food, a bit pricy but worth for a relaxing evening with friends. Can also recommend their fresh made own lemonade!

Too long waiting time, uncoordinated service, cold food

Unfortunately I can't give it less than one star. We were there today with our children and wanted to eat something. They made it clear to us that we weren't dependent on new guests. Drying two benches and a table was probably too strenuous. We will never enter this store again.

I just went out to eat and the food was terrible, I ordered a shepherd's burrito and they literally gave me a tortilla with burnt cheese as well as the meat. If you plan to eat here, run away, there is still time and then the unsweetened hibiscus water is a total disappointment. They also sent us upstairs because we were a large group, the waitress took more than 30 minutes to take our order. EVERYTHING HORRIBLE!!

Be sure to reserve as the shop is very small. We couldn't get a table, so we ordered takeaway. Had nachos tres quesos, burrito pollo con rajas and 2x quesadillas (pibli & camarones). Delicious, I've never had such good Mexican food! Well seasoned with the flavors you would expect: pepperoni, coriander, fruitiness of the tomatoes, roasted aromas and a generally good seasoning. We will make a reservation and come back, because what is so great at home after being heated in the oven can only be awesome in the restaurant! Great recommendation and super accessible. Addendum: We ate at the restaurant on May 6th, 2024 and it was great! See pictures. We will be back!

Exzellentes und authentisches Essen aus Mexiko. Gerade die Tacos sind sensationell. Auch die Magaritas kann ich nur empfehlen. Leider sehr teuer, gefühlt werden die Portionen auch immer kleiner… trotzdem sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man authentisches mexikanisches Essen möchte.

Best Mexican I know. I always enjoy coming here. Casita Mix Teller is highly recommended if you just want to have everything. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Prices good for Lunch menu(Mittagskarte). Food is tasty! Otherwise normally a bit costly and not worth it outside of Lunch Card.

Fresh and authentic Mexican food. In addition to appetizers, the menu offers the opportunity to put together your desired fillings as a taco, quesadilla or burrito. The pastor meat is juicy, the tacos with salsa are fresh and delicious. A bit more expensive for not so big portions. The restaurant is relatively narrow inside, but also offers a table for up to 8 people. All in all, a nice restaurant if you're willing to spend a few euros more.

One of Casita Mexicana's smaller stores, but that doesn't change the excellent food and the always fast and friendly service. For me the best Mexican food in NRW and definitely at least as good as in México!
