A very authentic atmosphere – correspondingly crowded and loud, but totally charming with warm service that remains calm despite the hustle and bustle. Very tasty food in, in my opinion, just the right portion size.

I could have left a review if I was served. Despite the restaurant being not full, our family was ignored, no order taken 🤷‍♀️

There were six of us at Casita Mexicana on Saturday evening – the restaurant was packed, but everything ran incredibly smoothly and quickly. The service was absolutely top-notch – you rarely experience such attentive, friendly, and relaxed service! The waiters took the time to tell us about the dishes as well as the different tequilas and mezcals, which made the evening even more special. Overall, a fantastic evening with great food and exceptional service. We'll definitely be back!

The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly, and there was no long wait, even though it was quite busy. Unfortunately, the tables were a bit too close together, making it difficult to get in or out, and you often bumped into the person behind you.

I have been here three times over the past two years, and every time the food has been great. It is busy when I have gone, so booking in advance is advised.

The food tasted authentically Mexican and definitely better than any Mexican restaurant I've been to before. The menu was quite concise, which wasn't a problem at all; it was short and to the point. The atmosphere felt very homey and welcoming. It was quite loud, which didn't bother me personally, but it definitely wouldn't be for everyone.

We had a fantastic evening with exceptionally good service. I wish I'd asked his name, but the slightly plump gentleman with a beard and glasses from Malaga impressed us. He was incredibly humorous, friendly, and knowledgeable. We were at an international table, and the gentleman impressed us in German, English, and Spanish. His joy was contagious. The food was, as usual, delicious and varied. I would perhaps like to see one or two fillings offered with a higher spice level, as I like unusually spicy food. We'll be happy to come back when we're in Düsseldorf again.

I wouldn't go there again. I went to dinner alone yesterday at 6:30 p.m. The service was uninspired and seemed more concerned with the young ladies at the next table. I then ordered an Alster and tacos with two different kinds of chicken. The shandy arrived after 10 minutes – I waited an hour for the food. When I asked about my food, I was told that there were too many delivery orders. If those had priority, I shouldn't go to the restaurant. Tacos were so-so. Definitely not crispy. Sour cream wasn't available either. It was too expensive for that – €24.70. A unique experience for me.

The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was truly friendly. You can tell the love and care goes into the cooking here. The only downside: the prices are a bit high. Still, it's definitely worth a visit if you're craving good Mexican cuisine.

Great food and drinks, friendly and competent staff

For us, this is the best Mexican restaurant in Düsseldorf. Fair value for money, the food is super delicious (we always order the pork braised in orange sauce and the original filling), and it's always delivered hot and fresh.

We are a very big fan of Mexican food. Casita Mexicana was in the neighborhood of my sons apartment. We decided to give it a try. Loved every dish. One note to the kitchen. They enjoy cooking so much, they were singing and dancing while doing it. We know because we sat at the table right next to it. Thank you all at Casita Mexicana for the great food and the experience. Casita Mexicana is our go-to spot in Düsseldorf whenever we’re craving Mexican food and a great margarita. On sunny days, the terrace is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The flavours are always on point, and both the burritos and tacos are packed with it thanks to their perfectly marinated meats. The vibe is lively yet laid-back and the staff is consistently friendly. A special mention is the Corona on tap which pairs perfectly with the spicy Mexican food. Highly recommend!

After a long time, we returned to Casita Mexicana Pempelfort. It's actually a nice concept, but the service team during our visit with seven people just wasn't up to it. Main courses were mixed up, too many orders were issued, drinks took forever, and we were constantly left with empty glasses.

We love the food and the atmosphere here! Succulent and delicious authentic dishes. The prices are also completely reasonable, in my opinion. We always come all the way from Essen to eat here. Update: Four years later, it's not as good anymore. The plates are presented rather carelessly, and somehow it's not as sizzling as it used to be. What a shame ;(

Best Nopales Tacos in Germany! Authentic & Delicious!

We went to dinner at La Casita Mexicana and were served by Ciro, who earned everyone's smile: attentive, friendly, and charming at every turn. Thanks to his warm welcome, the evening was even more enjoyable. Service like this makes all the difference!

The food is incredible, but what makes us want to come back every time is the service. The whole team is very friendly, but Ciro is spectacular: charming, super attentive, friendly, and eager to make everything perfect. It's a pleasure to meet someone like him, so hard-working and with such a good attitude. The coworkers are also top-notch, always smiling and attentive to everything. This is our second year in a row, and it certainly won't be the last. We love this place!

Authentic Mexican cuisine. The chicken tinga burrito is made with pulled meat and seasoned with a touch of spice. A very good combination. The wines are served in 0.15 litres, and I think €7.50 for one glass is too much. While serving the drinks, the waitress spilled something (which isn't a big deal). However, neither the table nor the floor in front of it were cleaned. When we were there, only two tables were occupied, and we were seated at the smallest and most uncomfortable table, which is incomprehensible.

Where should I begin? Where should I stop? - Guacamole was way too small for the huge portion of nachos. - The server spoke Mexican to me and repeated everything in a language no one understood. It's great that she had an accent, but I don't have to listen to it seven times. - The limes for the tacos were already pre-cut and completely dried out, probably from the day before or the morning, as they were cutting corners. - The sauce was simply forgotten and, upon request, was delivered when everyone had already eaten it. - THE FOOD was OK - there were more tomatoes than meat in the quesadillas, and the salsa was too runny. Need a repeat order? NO, not for that price!

The food was super delicious! Staff was really cheeky! Was there 5 minutes before the kitchen opened! She said it was still closed! Me: Can I sit now? You: only been up for 10 minutes! Really rude! I left straight away. I eat there often!! I won't go back until the nice lady stops working there!!! Then I went to Golzhrim at Casita Essen! Everything was perfect! So some staff still need to undergo training on how to deal with guests!!!

Based on the reviews on Google, I came for dinner with my family. The food was average, the restaurant is relatively unkempt, four people work on 30 seats and you have to wait another 15 minutes to be served, I was not satisfied at all.

Having been to Mexico before, I can only say that this is very authentic Mexican cuisine. Everything is super tasty and fresh. The starters are quite expensive, but for us they are simply a must. The cocktails are also very tasty. This store has been one of our favorites for years. The burritos used to be served with a loving salad garnish, which made the dish special. Unfortunately, they now only serve sauce, which we think is a shame. This takes away from the dish some of its original quality and the special touch that I appreciated so much, which is why I unfortunately deducted one star from the meal. The staff is very friendly and quick. We'll be back - but we'd like the salad garnish back!

Delicious food, nice and fast service. The dishes are put together in a modular system, so you can vary them easily. With Mexican decoration and ambience, the restaurant looks very cozy. There are small cozy tables, creating an intimate atmosphere. Advance reservation is recommended.

We were served quickly, the food came fairly quickly, we had the mix platter, as a starter the taco chips with the dips and a burrito with “steak strips”. Everything was delicious, but unfortunately the burrito was disappointing because it wasn't steak strips but rather something like pulled pork. So please don't write steak strips on the menu. The service was good but everything was very tight but still cozy and relaxed. In my opinion the price-performance ratio is not right, there is definitely still room for improvement. Therefore only 3 stars.

Disaster! Under no circumstances order there! I ordered at 12:07 via Lieferando. I had a work appointment at 2 p.m. and was hoping that would give me enough time to eat (110 minutes should actually be enough to make and deliver a burrito). None. Delivery was constantly delayed according to tracking. They canceled a call from me and the restaurant was no longer available. The messenger arrived 2 minutes before my professional call. No more time to eat. It's getting cold now (it's so hard to warm up a burrito). I'm correspondingly angry.

I've eaten there several times and so far I'm super happy with the food and service. It just fits!

We have visited the other Casita Mexicana branches very often in the past and have always been satisfied. This time we wanted to go to the branch in Pempelfort, but unfortunately it didn't work out. We reserved a table and were assigned a table (everyone else was already occupied) that was practically stuck directly to another table where guests were already sitting. The distance between the tables was a maximum of 5 cm, which offered no privacy at all. It felt like we were sitting at the same table with the other guests. There was a couple next to us, and there were also two of us because we had planned a date. But under these circumstances we had to leave the café and spontaneously look for another restaurant in the rain where we could sit “as a couple”. The waitress was friendly and apologized, but the situation was just disappointing and a total waste of time.

I visited recently with a friend. The quesadillas were really good made with fresh ingredients, the pork quesdilla was great. The agua de Jamaica was also good and fresh. We also ordered the Mexican flan which was also nice to try and was similar to what we eat in Latino America "Quesillo"

We went there for my mother's birthday because the reviews were so good. But unfortunately very disappointed with the food. Unfortunately nothing authentic and everything was very darkly lit and the food was poor even by German standards. Sad.

It was incredibly delicious!! 🤩 We had steak tacos and burritos; plus a starter plate with lots of dips. The ambience is colorful and playful and invites you to a happy evening. The service was super attentive and always friendly. And even if the map seems a bit strange at first (since you have to put everything together first), do you quickly get the hang of it?
