Wenn man als einziger Kunde ignoriert wird, weil die Bedienung gemütlich am Tisch sitzt, holt man da kein 2. Mal einen Cafe.

Wir waren heute mit unserer kleinen Tochter da und mit unserem Hund. Wir wurden vom Team sehr gut umsorgt, und haben uns wirklich willkommen gefühlt. Essen und Trinken waren auch sehr gut, also wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir hatten dasselbe Problem: Wir bestellten ein 0,5-Liter-Bier und bekamen nur 0,33 Liter – das ist wohl ein Fehler. Der Burger war allerdings eher mittelmäßig und fiel beim Anschneiden auseinander. Der Apfelsaft war gut. Die Bedienung hatte Schwierigkeiten, den Fernseher einzurichten, obwohl er draußen extra beworben wurde. Ich weiß, dass es ein Familienbetrieb ist, aber das Management muss dringend verbessert und die Speisekarte überarbeitet werden!

Was für ein wunderbarer Ort! Eigentlich wollten wir nur kurz auf ein Eis vorbeikommen – inzwischen verbringen wir mit unseren zwei Kindern schon den ganzen Tag hier, weil man einfach nicht mehr weg möchte. Gerade im Sommer kann man hier unfassbar schön sitzen. Es weht eine angenehme Brise, die den Aufenthalt selbst an warmen Tagen unglaublich entspannt macht. Dazu liegt direkt in unmittelbarer Nähe ein Spielplatz, sodass auch Familien mit Kindern voll auf ihre Kosten kommen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die beiden Mitarbeiter an der Bar. So herzlich, aufmerksam und unheimlich nett erlebt man Service wirklich selten. Sie haben sofort für eine entspannte und freundliche Atmosphäre gesorgt und man fühlt sich einfach willkommen. Auch der Koch verdient ein großes Lob: nicht nur total sympathisch, entspannt und authentisch, sondern auch ein echter Könner in der Küche. Er hat uns das Essen sogar persönlich gebracht, was den Besuch noch persönlicher gemacht hat. Wir hatten den Oliventeller „Santorini“ sowie die gefüllten Tacos – und beides war einfach fantastisch. Alles schmeckt frisch zubereitet, mit hochwertigen Zutaten und viel Liebe gemacht. Jeder Bissen war unfassbar lecker. Ein Ort mit toller Atmosphäre, großartigem Essen und unglaublich netten Menschen. Wir sind rundum glücklich und kommen garantiert wieder. Eigentlich wollten wir nur ein Eis essen – am Ende wollten wir gar nicht mehr gehen. Absolute Empfehlung für alle, die gutes Essen, entspannte Stimmung und echte Gastfreundschaft schätzen!

Einmal und nie wieder. Unverschämter Service mit Abzocke! Mein Mann hat statt einem 0,5l Bier ein 0,3l Glas bekommen. Als wir die Bedienung darauf aufmerksam machten, meinte dieser nur " er habe es aktuell nur in dieser größe", obwohl auf der Karte 0,5l stehen. Beim Abrechnen haben wir extra darauf geachtet, welche Bier Größe und Preis abgerechnet wurde und siehe da ! - Ein 0,5l Glas Bier . Als mein Mann wieder die Bedingung darauf ansprach, meinte die Dame ,dass sie gerade umstellen auf einen anderen Lieferanten und die neuen Karten mit den neuen Größen und Preisen noch nicht geliefert wurden,deswegen zieht sie jetzt 90cent ab . Sie wusste also, dass wir eine kleinere Größe erhalten haben und wollte uns trotzdem den vollen Preis bezahlen lassen! Überprüft daher immer eure Belege. Sowas hinterhältigen und unverschämtes, dass wir nicht nochmal hin gehen werden!

Schönes Interieur. Ich war dort zum Mittagessen und wir mussten ziemlich lange auf unsere Gerichte warten. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber zu salzig.

Essen ist super. Von normalem essen bis vegan alles dabei. Sogar die Milchsorte kann ausgewählt werden für Kaffee. Von Mandelmilch über Soja Hafermilch und Kuhmilch alles dabei. Super. Preise sind auch gut. Ambiente sehr gemütlich und eine schöne Terrasse zum draußen sitzen mit Blick auf grüne Fläche mit Bäumen und Wildblumen.

Ein toller Ort zum Entspannen mit hervorragendem Essen. Der Koch war überaus freundlich!

Nun... Ambiente ist toll! Terrasse super zu sitzen. Essen ist gut und Service sehr bemüht. Leider ist die Küche bei einem 10 er Tisch etwas überfordert, die Speisen kamen sehr zeitversetzt. Sogar der Koch kam um sich zu entschuldigen, aber trotzdem ein sehr schönes Lokal.

Ich war nur kurz drin. Man findet leider von außen keinerlei Hinweis, was es dort gibt. Es gibt flitschfinger und Cola Eis. Nicht gerade viel Auswahl, zu Tankstellenpreisen. Eine Speisekarte an der Kasse vorne , ziemlich unauffällig. Es ist recht dunkel gestaltet. Nichts lässt darauf schließen, was es dort eigentlich gibt. Schade. Hab nur ein Eis mitgenommen. Lage: Direkt am Spielplatz, daher nicht gerade ruhig

Der Service war im Punk-Stil, die Küche hatte Michelin-Flair 👍😄 Einfach großartig.

Schlemmerblock haben sie wohl schon seit einem Jahr abbestellt und werden trotzdem noch abgedruckt. Speisekarte ist etwas wirr zusammengestellt. Ein Gericht war aus, was uns nach 15-20 Minuten Wartezeit vom Koch mitgeteilt wurde. Zweites Gericht, welches wir uns teilten, war sehr enttäuschend, Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis sehr schlecht. Im Restaurant war es ziemlich kalt. Die Bedienung war okay, aber wollte uns am Ende beide Gerichte abkassieren, obwohl wir nur eins hatten. All in all: nicht zu empfehlen, wir werden das Restaurant zukünftig meiden!

Von der Lage ausgehend liegt dieses Café direkt an der Promenade und hat einen Blick ins Grüne. Das Ambiente ist offen und freundlich gestaltet. Im Winter und im Herbst ist es hier allerdings sehr kalt! Auch habe ich es leider so erlebt, dass wir lange saßen und keine Bedienung kam. Wir sind dann gegangen. Das sollte geändert werden. Sonst bleiben die Kunden aus. Früher als es neu aufgemacht wurde, kannte ich es nicht so. Das Essen schmeckte mir damals gut. Leider gab es da auch Veränderungen.

The new restaurant no longer accepts the Schlemmerblock (a discount voucher booklet), even though it's still valid. Being cheap might be appealing, but it's not attractive. So we didn't order any food and went somewhere else.

I won't go there again. I was very disappointed with my visit! I had ordered a salad with goat cheese, but was served one with wafer-thinly sliced ​​cow's milk feta instead. When I asked for it, the chef was called, who politely apologized and explained that they didn't have any goat cheese in stock—even though he had requested it from the chef. Unfortunately, this wasn't communicated before ordering. It's a shame, because especially with a clear menu description, guests should be able to rely on the ingredients.

Unfortunately, that was the last time I went there. The portion prices are pretty steep, and then you only get a handful of nachos on the side. The burger itself was okay. Unfortunately, the service was a total disaster. We were the only ones in the place and waited 50!!! minutes for the food. What do you do when it's busy? It's a shame. The location is actually quite promising, but you can't go there.

Disappointing Experience at a Unique Celebration We had planned our daughter's school entrance party here – deliberately "next door" to avoid stress. A crepe station with seasonal toppings was agreed upon for all guests starting at 3:30 p.m. The reality was unfortunately disappointing: - The table was incorrectly set, even though we had confirmed the correct number of guests several times beforehand via email and phone. As a result, the table was only set for about half the number, and the highchair was also forgotten. - We couldn't prepare the decorations because the table was set too late. - Instead of a crepe station, we waited over an hour (!) with hungry children until the first crepes even arrived. After an hour, the "station table" was almost empty. - Some crepes were hard, toppings arrived only gradually, dishes and cutlery were missing, and guests had to fetch many things themselves and also take care of new drinks themselves. - In total, it took over 90 minutes for each guest to receive a portion – completely unsuitable for a children's party. Positive: The location near the playground is beautiful, and when the food finally arrived for everyone, the children enjoyed it. But: For a one-off event like a school enrollment, which doesn't get a second chance, the implementation was completely inadequate. Also annoying: They charged a flat rate per person – the same price for adults and children. I find this very questionable, but reluctantly accepted it due to a lack of short-term alternatives. My conclusion: It's certainly fine for a drink or a snack at the playground – but based on our experience, I can't recommend the place next door for important parties or events.

I was there for a launch event. There was a fantastic buffet with a large selection of finger food and snacks. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was fantastic.

Important!!! Gourmet block is no longer accepted! (September 19, 2025) Service was very good and, above all, friendly. The ambiance is probably the most impressive feature here. Very, very nice. Unfortunately, I'm sticking with a 4 for the food. In my opinion, it could have been spicier. Not that it was completely bland, but it could have been better. And on top of that, the prices are quite steep, even for vegan/vegetarian options.

Apparently, they don't want satisfied customers here, and they're also happy to forgo good reviews, because nothing changes in their business practices. We discovered this place through the Schlemmerblock (a German word for "sweet treats"), having already found it quite appealing on walks. Our visit there was all the more surprising... disinterested service, bad food, and the audacity to refuse the Schlemmerblock when paying, which was obviously already on the table when we ordered. It's a good thing there are many other delicious restaurants in Heidelberg...

We wanted to eat there with the Schlemmerblock discount, however the owner refused to accept it, even though there is a coupon for the restaurant.

Very nice place for a chidren party. It provides good food, well arranged space, and really good service. The staff is very kind, supportive and friendly. They prepared the celebration exactly as we requested. Thaks to the whole team!

They make an effort, the food tastes good

The food is actually always delicious, but the service is ALWAYS! Bad and, above all, slow. Three or four customers can still wait an hour, and a dish might be forgotten. What a shame.

Ended up here on a city break. Currently, they don't have a liquor license, but they told me when ordering that they wouldn't hand out cards. The food quality was very good, but one of the three pasta varieties was missing, and they forgot the side sauce for the burger. Everyone tried hard, but there's room for improvement.

He says it's an absolute cheek, just because there's a new owner. He can simply refuse vouchers and gourmet blocks. His reason is that he doesn't want them, and the poor waitress was so scared that she didn't want to call her boss. Ps: For me, that says it all about the trust the new owner has in his kitchen. We had a wonderful business meeting in the restaurant next door. A pleasant yet peaceful setting in the afternoon was important to us. Everything was lovingly prepared for us, taking all our requests into account. Contact via email and phone was very friendly and prompt. We can recommend it at any time.

Here you can have a really nice meal or enjoy a great drink. The location has a beautiful environment, you can see the greenery. The quality is good and the service is okay. The atmosphere is pleasant and you can also take a nice stroll afterwards... Parking spaces are not available.

Service was subpar, we waited 20 minutes for the waitress to bring the cards. Waited another 10 minutes for the order to be taken. 20 minutes later the drinks arrived! The beer was warm and stale, the cocktail was made incorrectly and in the wrong ratio. We then saved the food. Great location, it's a shame - it would be great if the service and the rest were right.

It's such a shame that no one is able to manage this small, beautifully located place. If there was a little more commitment and more humane prices at the start, this location would certainly do well. But to charge €4.50 for a 0.33l Pils, which you have to get yourself because there is no service, is outrageous. The prices themselves are too high for a disused train station! You can often get away cheaper in the old town, where rents are certainly more expensive. It's a shame, I gave the "next door" another chance with a new owner. That was it then!🙁

You mention that the drinks are still missing, you accept this calmly and you wait again. Until at some point you get up yourself and get the drinks at the bar. We won't come back here. Ah yes and no one came to pay, so you had to go ahead and list what you ate and at what prices. You know the menu better than the staff because you think about it in advance whether you have it exactly right...well, it really needs improvement!

The three of us were here today before a concert and were actually looking forward to going out to eat because the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. However, we were consistently annoyed because the service - and unfortunately I'm not exaggerating - was catastrophic. First we waited 10 minutes for the menus and probably still wouldn't have them if we hadn't gotten them ourselves. We waited 25 minutes for our drink, which we finally ordered - even though we asked several times. The food was good overall, but overpriced. I paid €17.50 for a bowl of salad with a few toppings. In terms of portion size, this would have been a starter salad in other restaurants. It's a shame, because as I said - you could get a lot out of the restaurant in terms of ambience: if the service and price-performance ratio improved!!! I don't usually write bad reviews, but once is always the first time... By the way, you can only pay in cash and don't get a bill. When the time comes, the prices are looked for from the menu and added up (in my case incorrectly).

Super nice restaurant and very pleasant atmosphere. I was here spontaneously from Darmstadt, the staff were very nice, attentive and when the weather is nice it's even better here.

The restaurant in Bahnstadt certainly has potential, but unfortunately, both the food and the service didn't quite convince me. The dishes were well prepared, but the taste was rather average and somewhat monotonous. They lacked fresh flavors and spices, making the food seem a bit bland overall. For the price, I would have expected more refinement and creativity. Unfortunately, the service wasn't particularly attentive either. The waiters seemed to be trying hard, but overall a bit disorganized. It took a while to place our order, and we had to ask several times for a second order. The ambiance was pleasant and modern, but the food and service definitely need to improve to provide an all-around good experience. It wasn't bad, but not so good that I would return.

We arrived at the restaurant hungry and ordered 2 hamburgers and a café, but it simply took 40 minutes for our food to arrive despite several reminders. The ambience is quite attractive and I personally like it very much. Unfortunately, my glass wasn't completely clean as shown in one of the pictures and the dirt wasn't on the outside but really in the glass. So if you just come here to have a drink in a café or something else, I can recommend it, but not to eat something.

It was cold in the dining room, the beef strips that were sold separately by the service in addition to the tagiatelle with porcini mushrooms were unfortunately completely burnt and when I complained about it there was only a “I'm sorry”, the 6 EUR extra for the beef strips were still charged, even though not eaten, as you could see from the cleared plate. All in all, unfortunately not a good performance.

For €16 I “threw” some cheap pasta with a simple sauce into the box. Do yourself a favor and cook for yourself.

We wanted to have something to eat there at around 1 p.m. There was also enough space for two people, but it was said that the earliest the food would be ready would be 45 minutes. That wasn't an option for a lunch break and unfortunately we had to leave hungry. It's sad for a restaurant that is officially open at lunchtime when you can only get something to eat in a reasonable time frame if you reserve in advance.

“Everyone likes to eat next door”, we wanted to convince ourselves of this steep thesis. The stylish, cozy-looking little train house on the Bahnstadt promenade had caught our eye for some time. After standing in front of a closed door twice (closed society), yesterday was normal business, although it was still extremely tricky to find the door. 🚪It's basically a sliding door made of glass, but it can only be opened from the inside. The inside of the room is filled with a grease-smelling haze 💨 (the clothes serve as souvenirs throughout the evening!). You feel like you're in a chip shop - although, paradoxically, they don't serve any fresh fries with the burgers on site, instead you resort to ready-made nachos. ❌ 🍟 We both had a pasta dish, but it was way too greasy. Cream and butter may be flavorful, but in Shakespeare's words it was “too much of a good thing”. In terms of price, over €20 is also too high for a normal pasta dish without any aesthetic appeal. 💰 Yes, that may be a very salty review, but it is nowhere near as salty as our pasta dishes.🧂 We also noticed negatively that the waitress was hosting her friends in the middle of the restaurant, who were lounging around on armchairs on their cell phones and constantly chatting with her. The interior is stylishly furnished, we particularly liked the color of the walls, as well as the chessboards with wooden figures.♟️The terrace is certainly a perfect place for a drink or coffee in summer. Overall, the ambience really has potential. But in its current form, neither the kitchen nor the service is convincing. The phrase “everyone likes to eat next door” that is used in advertising is unfortunately misleading. 🤷‍♂️

We were next door with a large group today. Shop was very busy. Service was still very friendly and accommodating. Food came a little staggered. The food was delicious and the location was also very nice

Unfortunately I have to agree with the bad reviews. We made reservations for 16 people and sent the order to the restaurant a week in advance. Despite this, we waited almost two hours until the last dish was delivered. We couldn't eat together; the food only left the kitchen little by little with a long gap between us. There may be delays in a restaurant. The thing is how you deal with it. The staff didn't point out that it might take longer, nor were we given bread or new drinks to bridge the waiting time. Particularly noteworthy was the unprofessionalism of the service staff, who ate burgers and pasta or spent time on their cell phones in front of the waiting guests. There was then a loud conflict between a waitress and the cook, whereupon both waitresses left the restaurant to go to the smoking area. Ultimately we helped ourselves and picked up the last missing dishes from the chef himself. It's a shame that such a special location and the good food lose so much value due to the staffing conditions. Unfortunately, this restaurant is not worth a visit!

I'm not that old but this food is the best I've eaten so far, not to mention the service. Gandom and Baran are one of the best waiters that have served me, you all have to go there, you will 100% not regret it!!!!

It was our first time at this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful decor. The ambience was really inviting. However, there were some drawbacks: There is no air conditioning, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable, especially in warm weather. We also had to wait almost an hour for our food, which was disappointing. Despite the wait, the food was delicious in the end, but the long wait and lack of air conditioning put a bit of a damper on the overall experience. I hope these points will be improved in the future!

Extremely disappointed with this place! We asked for our wedding here. After we discussed everything on site and received a verbal commitment, all of the agreements were not kept by those responsible. A written contract was not sent as discussed and we were told on the phone for three weeks that we were in a meeting and would call back. There was never a call back or any other statement. It's a disgrace that you treat potential customers like this and simply leave them in the dark. Absolutely unprofessional and unfair!!!

Big minus: The really unprofessional service, which really made the evening stressful. Unfortunately for us a reason not to come back.

The menu offers a good selection and our food was fresh, tasty and came quickly. I particularly liked the pleasant atmosphere – cozy but modern. Price-performance ratio definitely fits here. The ambience was great! Really nice location! The evening we were there for dinner there was a cash outage. This did not initially affect us. The waitress quickly came to our place (8 people) and the drinks were quickly given out. The food was ordered straight away and arrived in a reasonable time, so 7 out of 8 meals. One of us had to wait another 5 minutes for her pasta with tomato sauce and grilled vegetables. The dish has two different types of pasta, which would have been okay if both had been cooked properly. Unfortunately the sauce was a bit too spicy. When we were clearing away the waitress asked us if she should make a new portion - we politely declined. We could pay by card, but you had to have your savings bank card with you, for example, because you had to insert it and it couldn't be done digitally from your cell phone. Luckily I had cash with me. When I didn't tip, the waitress complained to her colleague in Turkish that we weren't tipping. Since my girlfriend speaks Turkish, we noticed that. If we had read the reviews we would definitely have looked for another restaurant. It's a shame about the beautiful atmosphere!!

Beautiful place, but unacceptable restaurant policy...those who sit without a table reservation are second-rate customers...the restaurant deals mainly and on a priority basis only with customers who have made a reservation...that is, who sits down and orders even after 15' seat customers with reservation...those who came after you should eat first and you will wait maybe an hour ..until you eat....not allowed...they should just inform the customers from the beginning about it....

If we had read the reviews beforehand... We had reserved and although there would have been enough space outside, they couldn't provide us with tables outside when we asked. The food (8 people) came very delayed and also quite late. We had reserved and there weren't that many people there overall. Overall, the food was “okay”. The nachos were missing a dip, the “Florence” pasta was spicy, even though that wasn’t on the menu. The “unusual cocktails” are not cocktails, but aperitifs. The service was virtually non-existent and not particularly friendly. But the absolute highlight was when the service staff complained to each other that we hadn't given a tip. It's stupid that I speak Turkish and understood that. But just ask yourself why you didn’t get a tip. Absolutely a shame about the beautiful atmosphere.

We found out about the restaurant via Instagram. It was there as a recommendation. If only we had read the reviews on Google beforehand... The service was just as described by others, sluggish and unmotivated. We ordered food, not everything as described on the menu, and drinks at the same time. At the next table we noticed that everything was taking a little longer and, in addition to the apology that the chef was tired, they were offered a drink on the house. So after the first impression, which wasn't all that positive, we were excited. After about 15 minutes, the wheat we ordered (because there wasn't any light beer available) arrived as a pilsner in glasses that weren't clean. We had to wait another half hour for our food (two identical burgers). The burger consisted of far too much garlic sauce, store-bought hummus and buns, over-salted grilled vegetables and, culminating in a dry falafel that had been in the waffle iron for too long. The whole thing was framed carelessly by a few tortilla chips. Apart from bringing the drinks and food, there were no further questions about satisfaction or anything similar. As I said, service is actually non-existent. Not even the fact that we left the beer almost untouched and only ate half of one burger... After we were finished, we sat there for a moment and then just went in to pay. And all this with a not very full restaurant and two waiters! It's a shame for the beautiful location, but the question is how a restaurant can survive like this.

We've been there twice already. The food is great!! Unfortunately the service wasn't at the same level. We were the only table inside and there were 3 others outside, two of them only with drinks. The two waitresses were mostly on their cell phones and I had to ask for my drink after a long time. It's a shame. They don't like cleaning the tables either.

Wir sind schon zwei mal da gewesen. Das Essen ist top!! Die Bedienung leider nicht auf dem gleichen Niveau.. Wir waren die einzigeTisch drinnen und draußen waren 3 andere, zwei davon nur mit Getränken. Die zwei Kellnerinen waren meistens am Handy und ich musste nach einer langen Zeit nach meinem Getränk fragen..Schade..Die Tische werden auch nicht so gerne geputzt.

The ambience is really nice. A little background music would be nice. But unfortunately that's all that's good. Pretty sleepy service. You didn't exactly feel welcome. No salads or burgers that day, was the first statement. Strangely enough, another guest who arrived a long time after us was served a burger. Our order also seemed to have been forgotten or something was prepared incorrectly. That can happen and with a little apology it wouldn't have been a problem for us. The excuse for the long wait (almost an hour for a simple pasta dish) was that everything is freshly prepared. What happened next was quite a disappointment. It didn't exactly taste bad and "served the purpose (being halfway full)", but the so-called "truffle porcini mushroom cream sauce" was a joke. A puddle of cream in which Parmesan apparently simply dissolved and turned into a greasy mess. There was no hint of mushroom or truffle taste, very few mushrooms and you had to look for the parsley mentioned. Any inexperienced novice cook could do this better. It still upsets me days later. Demanding 17.50 euros for something like that is an imposition. In combination with the boring service, absolutely not recommended. It's a shame, given the beautiful location.
