Gasthaus zum Eisernen Kreuz in Heidelberg

Was für eine Touristenfalle! Der Kuchen ist nicht gut, vor allem der Käsekuchen ist einfach nur schlecht. Der Eiskaffee schmeckte nicht mal nach richtigem Kaffee. Er schmeckte wie so ein Fertigpulver. Kein Kaffeegeschmack, nur süß und irgendwie widerlich.

Mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant war wirklich unvergesslich. Das Essen ist außergewöhnlich und unterstreicht die Qualität und Frische jeder einzelnen Zutat, die zudem makellos präsentiert wird. Es ist zweifellos ein wunderbarer Ort, dessen einladende Atmosphäre zum genussvollen Essen einlädt. Hinzu kommt der erstklassige Service: Die Mitarbeiter sind äußerst aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell, sodass man sich vom ersten Moment an wie zu Hause fühlt. Und als ob das nicht schon genug wäre, sind die Preise angesichts der hohen Qualität des Angebots sehr angemessen. Damit ist dieses Restaurant eine unschlagbare Wahl für alle, die Wert auf Exzellenz legen, ohne dabei zu viel auszugeben. Ein Restaurant, das man immer wieder besuchen möchte! Absolut empfehlenswert.

Ich schreibe selten schlechte Bewertungen wie man in meinem Profil sehen kann. Aber hier war es so schlecht das ich darüber informieren muss! Lauwarme ungenießbare Dosengulasch Suppe. Die Frikadellen scheinen vom Discounter zu sein. Finger weg!

8€ für 0,2 l Orangensaft und einen Milchkaffee der nicht trinkbar ist , da er nach dem überschüssigen Kaffeewasser schmeckt. Schrecklich

Ich konnte nicht widerstehen, dieses Café noch einmal zu besuchen. Der Kaffee und das Gebäck waren köstlich. Sehr empfehlenswert!

We loved the croissants. We ordered plain and chocolate, and the portions were quite large. The coffees were delicious. It's self-service and relatively expensive.

Terrible cafe overpriced and food was not fresh. Also the owner was v rude. And even though we ate there just 10 min ago and were returning from a walk, he told us public restrooms are only for customers...didn't even bother to ask if we had eaten there earlier.. Avoid at all costs..

A beautiful café in Heidelberg's old town. The cakes they serve are delicious. The staff are also very friendly and attentive.

Ordered a simple breakfast and was already completely overwhelmed! The vegetarian breakfast came with bacon and sausage, the ordered items were missing, the pepper shaker was empty, and when I approached the staff, they didn't even bother to come to the table and properly clarify the matter. Instead, I received a dismissive hand gesture! Terrible and never again.

The food is standard fare and quite expensive. The seats are very comfortable.

We never write reviews, even when things are good and when they're bad, but this one is so bad that it's simply undrinkable. I can't even drink the latte macchiato; we also pass on regular coffee; it's inedible. Are the cakes homemade? I can't believe it's ready-made cream or something mixed in. The restrooms are a disaster; there's no paper in the ladies' room. The staff at the self-service checkout are unfriendly personified.

Had a wheat drink there. It was very tasty! Unfortunately no service. But you can probably do it.

There is no service. Staff totally unfriendly. Cake was ok. The house recommendation (large filled balls) are not fresh. Unfortunately. I'm an expert and at 5.65 it's a disgrace for such an old ball Never again!!!!

The counter order taker must have misheard our ordering two bowls of soup. When the meal was brought out by a young man, I said we had ordered two. Rather than go back and make the correction, the young man challenged me, and showed me the order slip, that only one was ordered. He's totally unclear on the concept of service.

Terrible, rude service. Not typical service throughout Germany, outwardly unhelpful and inconsiderate. Two separate orders from different servers and an interaction from a manager/owner.

I can only agree with that. After a long drive we urgently looked for a toilet and unfortunately couldn't find it straight away in the car park. My experience at the inn, which is right next to the underground car park exit, was similar. An older lady with short gray hair was also polite after Toi. I asked for the key to have a coffee with my husband afterward, with an announcement, and got the following answer: "This will only be handed out if you have sat down and placed an order BEFORE. That is an excuse, in the past guests have often claimed that and After using it, we prefer to go to an Italian restaurant."

Self-service! But the pastry art is at the highest level and very tasty. Unfortunately there is no service, so I don't give it a star because it's self-service. Ambience could be cleaned up a bit more. Makes a messy impression. If you want something sweet, you order it at the main counter downstairs, then go up to the drinks counter, pay for everything and sit down somewhere if there is a space available.

Self-service. But very nice, friendly, fast. The food is simple, tasty and good value for money, especially for the location. You can have a good time here.

Service in the restaurant was unfriendly and incomprehensible when parts of the orders were missing. The ice cream with chocolate sauce and sprinkles was missing sauce and sprinkles. The ice cream was missing ice cream. We only got the missing items after a little discussion with the waitresses. There were no sprinkles at all. In general, only the location of the restaurant is convincing, the rest needs improvement.

Politely asked about using the toilet, it was only for guests and it was not possible to use it for a fee. That's the very last thing and speaks for the other reviews!!! Worst service, ZERO stars for this store!

Nog slechter dan slecht. De toeristen komen toch wel, wij helaas ook. Bediening en vriendelijkheid kennen ze niet. Gasten voor ons lieten dit briefje achter....(zie foto)

A very good Place to have Breakfast. Besides, one dish is enough for two persons. It depends on how much you usually eat for Breakfast. I recommend it

Schön zum Draußen sitzen, innen eher 70er Jahre, Personal unterbesetzt und nach einer halben Stunde und schon serviertem Brot war klar, dass der Rest nicht existiert....
