Well, Jörg, you were just unlucky. I celebrated my 44th wedding anniversary there. When I booked the table, I requested a long-stemmed red rose. What's impossible in many restaurants was no problem here. (Thanks again for that!) The food was just as fantastic as the service. The value for money was almost unbeatable. If it weren't so far away (I'm from Gelsenkirchen), I'd love to eat there more often. I felt comfortable from the very first moment.

Yes, a lot on the plate. The schnitzel was pounded to death. But: lots of breading. Pounding doesn't increase the weight of a piece of meat. It just looks like more. I've given a better rating here before. It's okay.

We've been there several times. The food is always a culinary delight! The staff is friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the restaurant is always very busy and hot, so reservations are a must!

I would have liked to eat there, but it seemed they didn't care. I made a reservation request via the website as instructed. There was no response. So I called and inquired. The manager was surprised by the reservation request, had to check and call back. She had reserved seats for me (it was Friday lunchtime; I wanted to eat there on Saturday). When I arrived Saturday evening, there was a note on the door saying "private party today." I went in anyway and inquired. The manager herself was there, and after some hesitation, she said, "Oh, I must have messed that up somehow." So, a clear recommendation – don't plan on going there. It might be better to go spontaneously. I'm giving everything zero stars, since that's not possible, so one star instead.

We were at Kulinaria last night. The food was very good, the service perfect 👌🏻. My mother-in-law—who has what feels like a thousand allergies—was offered a meal off the menu and prepared according to her allergies. That's not something you take for granted! Thanks again for the truly excellent service! We'd love to come back.

If you're craving a hand-pounded, breaded schnitzel "just like mom's used to make," this is the place to go! Also delicious fries and fine sauces... all made in-house, not from the wholesaler in 10-kilo/liter containers. You can taste it in every bite, and at the end of the day, you'll be delighted not only by the friendly, attentive service, but also by the moderate and reasonable prices. Thumbs up, and please keep it up! We'll be back!

It was a wow experience. Wonderful food (seared scallops, celery schnitzel, salad, rump steak, tiramisu, carpaccio) that made you think, "Life is good." And the service was very friendly and cheerful. We'll definitely be back on our next vacation.

The schnitzel and steak were very tasty, but unfortunately, the grilled steak wasn't recommended, as the rump steak was a small, thin piece of meat, only 0.5 cm thick, and naturally dry. The pork steak was also dry. We had two grilled steaks, and both had the same problem with the meat. You expect something different from a steakhouse. It was very crowded, and the tables were tightly packed.

The restaurant is small but nice. The service was very friendly and attentive. We arrived right away at 5 p.m. and didn't have to wait for a table. However, it's recommended to reserve a table. The food was delicious; the fried potatoes were crispy, the steak was tender and cooked exactly as ordered. All in all, a successful evening. We'd be happy to come back.

I had the schnitzel surf and turf. It was incredibly delicious. Perhaps a little too dry. But the flavor was really good. The service was very friendly and attentive. We'd be happy to come back. But: make sure you make a reservation!

All I can say about the food is that it's delicious and arrives at the table as ordered. Okay, if you order a second small beer and it's not brought, it's your own fault because you didn't ask. It remains one of my favorite restaurants in Cuxhaven. They play some music that's not too loud. You can eat well and have a great conversation with your partner because the acoustics aren't overshadowed by other people.

I haven't had such delicious food in a long time. It was simply amazing! And I also want to mention the very friendly staff. I will definitely recommend it!

We had the mushroom cream schnitzel once, and yours truly had the gardener's schnitzel with hollandaise sauce and cheese topped with fresh Kuhlinaria fries... both were a dream and nicely served. The service was also great, and the price-performance ratio was right. All in all, as before, 5* from us. Highly recommended and we'd be happy to go back. Unfortunately, we only photographed one dish.

I was there with my sisters on October 2, 2025, at 7 p.m. We had schnitzel with pepper sauce. The meat tasted musty; my sisters said it was from the sauce. I felt increasingly unwell in the car. When I got home, I immediately had to vomit in the toilet, and then I felt better again. Maybe they should check their meat more carefully. My sisters had something else; they didn't have any, and it was apparently fine, too.

Great place, large, delicious schnitzels, and good draft beers. The staff is quick and competent. You'll leave full and satisfied here.

The ragout was rather mediocre on the plate, the spaghetti with cherry tomatoes, spinach, garlic, and prawns was completely unseasoned, and the original Wiener Schnitzel was cooked too long in the pan and was dry :-( Such a shame, we were really looking forward to it after such good reviews.

Highly recommended if you're looking for a restaurant in Cuxhaven. For reasonable prices, you get excellent food and plenty of drinks. The staff is polite and also serves a welcome drink. The only downside is the ambiance, as the tables are a bit wider, making it harder to hear what the other person is saying in a more crowded restaurant.

We've been coming to Kuhlinaria for many years. If you like meat, we think it's the best restaurant in the area. Great food, super friendly and attentive staff.

Not recommended. The meat was more bone and fat than anything else. On top of that, the wait time was terrible (1.5 hours) and the service was absolutely terrible (during those 1.5 hours, they didn't even ask if anything was missing or where the food was). Tables and chairs were broken, and so on. There were simply too many tables for so few staff. In the end, €95 for two people is ridiculous.

This restaurant is... indescribable. You walk in and are immediately invited to a table, if one is available. The portions are large, like, very large, and the prices, especially considering the quality and the fact that everything is prepared in the kitchen, are 100% justified. If you don't necessarily like beef, don't worry, they also have pork. Just saying, "Hawaiian Schnitzel" 🤌 The ambiance here is also great. The place is busy, at least at this time, but everything still feels like a chic, cozy restaurant. 10/10 is an understatement. If you're ever on this corner, or live in Cuxhaven: Eat here once; it's absolutely worth it.

Nice restaurant in a good location in Cuxhaven. We had rump steak and plaice Finkenwerder style. The food was fresh and good, but the wait was quite long. This is due to the small kitchen, so you shouldn't be in a hurry. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant.

We went there spontaneously and without a reservation. It was busy both inside and out. We first had a drink on the terrace and then asked for a table inside for dinner. It didn't look good at first, but the super-friendly waitress quickly arranged it. She was extremely helpful and flexible. Despite the busy schedule, she kept her focus and was incredibly friendly! We saw the size of the schnitzel dishes and ordered a portion of schnitzel with North Sea crab and a fried egg, plus an extra plate – no problem and no extra charge! The two of us could barely manage it. The value for money is excellent! The service inside was also friendly and knowledgeable. All in all, we were very, very satisfied and will definitely go back. Next time, we'll make a reservation.

We were on a short break in Cuxhaven and wanted to reserve a table online, but everything was fully booked on the day of arrival. So we just went, and the staff member arranged for us to sit at a table with one other person. The staff were super friendly and the food was incredibly delicious 😋 I haven't had such a good Wiener Schnitzel in a long time. We'll be happy to come back when we're back here.

We just managed to get a table because the restaurant was very busy. The service was friendly and fulfilled all our requests. They even thought of a special children's menu. The food was, as usual, very plentiful and attractively presented. It was the best schnitzel I've had in a while. The food from my other companions was also almost perfect. The ambiance is also impressive, rustic and tastefully decorated. I'd be happy to return next time.

Weird place. The food doesn't really taste good. The schnitzels were dry. The food is unsalted, and while you wait for your food to excessively loud music, you can hear the staff loudly arguing with each other or making fun of each other. Whatever they're talking about, just close the door. That was truly abysmal! Not again!

Hello! It was our first time here. The welcome was incredibly friendly. The restaurant's decor was fantastic. We had a rump steak with a side salad. The steak was tender and incredibly delicious. The price was surprisingly reasonable. The steak and a Jever Pilsner were a real treat. We'd love to come back.

Vorweg sei gesagt, das Essen war wie immer tipptopp. Allerdings hatten wir einen Tisch für 2 Personen reserviert und unseren Hund angegeben. Der wurde dann aber zum Problem. Er sei so groß, ja wo den denn platzieren. Viele 2er Tische waren frei. Wir merkten an, dass wir bereits sehr oft mit unserem Hund im Kuhlinaria gewesen seinen. Na dann sollten wir uns doch einfach irgendwo hinsetzen. Der Gruß aus der Küche ( immer Brot, Öl und Salz) wurde uns anscheinend zur Strafe? vorenthalten. Willkommen haben wir uns jedenfalls nicht gefühlt. Unsere Stimmung war hin.
