Always a delight! We've been to the Käfer main restaurant several times – and this time we weren't disappointed. The Wiener Schnitzel was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside – simply perfect. The dessert was a dream (sin is worth it here!). We'd especially like to highlight Marco's service – attentive, warm, and with genuine passion for his job. Amazing service! We feel welcome every time and will definitely be back.

I visited the Käfer Schänke restaurant and I really enjoyed it. The decor was beautifully done and immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. I found the story with the cockatoo particularly exciting. The food was also really delicious; everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The spaghetti ice cream was made right at our table, which I particularly liked, and it tasted amazing. The vanilla ice cream was honestly the best I've ever had. The service was also very friendly, attentive, and yet pleasantly unobtrusive. Overall, it was a really nice evening. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back again.

We stopped in spontaneously for coffee and found a nice, quiet spot outside. They have a large selection of cakes and tarts. Even though it's a bit more expensive, we'll definitely be back.

The birthday celebration at Käfer's was intended to be a highlight for the family, and that's exactly what it was. An outstanding menu, excellent service from a very polite, attentive, and courteous staff member, and a wonderfully cozy, private atmosphere in one of the lovingly furnished suites made the dinner a truly memorable experience. The reservations and organization team made a first-class guest experience. Excellent menu suggestions were made, and every request was met down to the last detail. Käfer's is a gourmet restaurant and therefore not in the lower or middle price range, but the value for money is definitely justified and appropriate for a special occasion when you want to treat yourself and your family or friends to something extraordinary.

For a fine dining restaurant, rather meager, nothing special...you don't have to see it twice

The portions were a bit small for a real man, so I ordered three main courses in total. Server Oli, like most, was super friendly and top-notch. Käfer is the ideal place for culinary hedonism. However, they should introduce a flat rate potato salad or offer larger portions.

We recently celebrated an 80th birthday dinner at Käfer with a party of four, and the experience was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a beautifully decorated table, complete with a thoughtful gift box and a personalized note — such a lovely and unexpected touch that set the tone for the evening. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout the night. The seasonal menu offered a great variety, including excellent vegetarian options and every dish was presented with outstanding attention to detail. We started with finger food which were tiny canapés, would necessarily repeat these, followed by the seafood platter, which was beautifully arranged and mostly delicious — though a few items were definitely for more adventurous palates! The steak tartar was a highlight — the meat quality was exceptional, fresh and flavorful. And whatever you do, don’t miss out on the Spaghetti Ice. Not only is it delicious, but the way it’s prepared right at the table adds a touch of showmanship that made it a fun and memorable ending to the meal. A fantastic experience overall — Käfer made this milestone celebration feel truly special.

An unforgettable evening in a beautiful room, perfect service and wonderful food!

Yesterday we weren't greeted in the restaurant, but welcomed like old friends. It was wonderful and we got a nice table by the window. We were looked after by Marco and every wish was immediately fulfilled. Be it asparagus with schnitzel or Irish beef fillet with wild broccoli. Once again it was delicious. For dessert, we were able to add vanilla ice cream to the Kaiserschmarrn and were completely happy with the well-mixed apple spritzer and blackcurrant spritzer. Marco was always nearby and was professional, polite and accommodating in everything. A wonderful afternoon. Only the background music was a bit too loud and too poppy, which the older regulars also disliked. Nevertheless, we would like to thank the entire team

The Käfer-Schänke in Munich (although the name Schänke doesn't do justice to the beautiful restaurant) has become my new favorite restaurant. The lunch menu tasted excellent and was presented very attractively. It is offered at a fair price/performance ratio. The wine selection was appropriate. The service at the table was friendly, but could have been a little more attentive. In addition to the 3-course lunch menu, we also ordered the scallops gratin as an intermediate course, which was no problem at all. There is a pleasant atmosphere throughout the house. The individual areas - from stylish modern to classic interiors - are all decorated differently and all look very appealing. A reservation is recommended and can easily be made online. You can easily shop in the delicatessen, which is located on the ground floor, and buy a variety of delicacies to take home. The entire location is an experience that is highly recommended. We'll be back soon and are really looking forward to it. Cashless payment is possible. The parking situation is a bit difficult, but we found one.

I had the highest recommendations from my friends and that's why I came to this restaurant. Overall, everything was fine and the restaurant itself is very beautiful, but I ordered beef a la Rossini and there was no foie gras. I was surprised and asked the waiter if this is how it should be according to the recipe? To which the waiter went to ask the kitchen and returned with the answer that he apologizes, but they forgot to put it. And asked if they should bring it to me separately? They brought it separately, but the essence of the dish disappeared, although separately both the meat and foie gras were good, but still I went to the restaurant for the flavor combinations. For a fairly expensive restaurant, just good products are not enough.

Company Christmas party at the Beetle. I was already looking forward to it 4 weeks in advance and the Käfer company delivered. Food: very good. Seafood selection (I don't really like it that much, but even I liked this one), duck pate (I would never have stopped eating this pate, but at some point I finished it), lobster soup, beef fillet (so tender, incredibly tasty) and raspberry tart. They were able to wheel us out after the varied menu. The service was excellent. We've also had waiters at the Beetle who aggressively presented themselves as salespeople. Our service this week was quick, polite, unobtrusive, perfect. We'll be back. Addition 2024: What are these two men doing, playing strange Christmas songs in an intrusive way, on an evening like this? You wash it down with a sip of wine. It was over after 5 minutes. Everything else remained great!

It's a pleasure every time. A bit like coming home – only with better food and fancier furniture. The employees? Simply great! Friendly, attentive and with the perfect level of professionalism without appearing stiff. You can tell that there is a well-rehearsed team at work here that enjoys giving guests a good time. If you don't know the Käferschänke yet, you should change that as soon as possible. A place that combines tradition, quality and a pinch of charm - always worth a visit!

Get a table for two without booking in advance. The food was very exquisite and super full-bodied. Here you know something about cooking and presenting delicious dishes! Foie Gras de Canard was good, as were the scallops, unfortunately the sautéed spinach was over-salted, which greatly affected the flavor of the seafood. But the really annoying thing was: the champagne wasn't poured at the table and didn't have much bubbles left (bottle no longer fresh!?). This probably doesn't meet the demands of H. Käfer...and you can also expect top freshness for €22 in Munich.

The special dishes they offered us were very good, furthermore the location is very traditional and has a truly immense market in the basement. My friends and I booked a private room for a pre-fixed dinner and had the best time. The food and wine were absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. Our server let us take our time between courses and let us hang around to have drinks after dinner. He was very attentive, especially with making sure our wine glasses were full. They also gave us a speaker and allowed us to play whatever music we wanted, which made the evening a blast. It was a perfect mix of fine dining and fun. If we ever return to Munich, we will definitely be back!

Our lunch experience at Käfer restaurant didn’t satisfy me and my friends. At first , everything was amazing and on time. My friend that lives in Munich was at that place several times. It is an elegant and luxury place where you expect the same level of service. I ordered the white truffle pasta (56€ ). When the dish was at the table I tried it and unfortunately the cook didn’t do it in a correct way. It was full of milk cream and there was not even a taste of the right Italian pasta. It was also so sweet, that sound strange but unfortunately it was like that. When I asked the waiter to take it back , that waiter didn’t apologize and say anything. When we asked for a bill, the price of a pasta was there and we had a small not a nice discussion with our waiter K. that a bit laughed at us by saying “ everybody like it , why don’t you” - so not in a respectful way. Definitely this kind of people that don’t have patience and respect to the guests shouldn’t work in hospitality business. So at the end we asked for a manager and we clearly explained our position but the fun thing that when he brought a new bill we saw just a price of the truffle itself ( 28€). I have never seen this in the restaurant business and in such a qualified as we thought restaurant. So I stayed hungry and upset after coming to Käfer restaurant.
