Wir waren in der Brasserie - volle Punktzahl! Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, die Einrichtung ist schick. Das Essen war sehr gut, optisch ansprechend angerichtet und kam immer im richtigen Abstand. Der Service ist eine glatte 1, sehr freundlicher Empfang und die Service-Mitarbeiter sind lässig, teils lustig, aber trotzdem sehr professionell. Die Hintergrundmusik hat uns ebenfalls sehr gut gefallen. Alles allem ein sehr gelungener Abend und wir werden definitiv wiederkommen. Bitte weiter so.

Das Les Deux gehört für mich zu den besten Restaurants in München – einfach herausragend. Die Küche ist kreativ, präzise und auf höchstem Niveau, jeder Gang überzeugt mit außergewöhnlicher Qualität und perfekter Handwerkskunst. Ein besonderes Lob an Küchenchefin Nathalie Leblond und Sous-Chef Florian Brunner, die mit ihrem Talent, ihrer Leidenschaft und ihrem Gespür für besondere Geschmackserlebnisse Maßstäbe setzen. Auch das gesamte Service-Team sorgt mit Professionalität und Herzlichkeit dafür, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Ein rundum außergewöhnliches Erlebnis und eine absolute Empfehlung – ich komme immer wieder gerne zurück!

Der Service war sehr freundlich, wir hatten auch einen schönen Abend. Das Essen war fantastisch das Steak au poivre war sehr lecker, die bimis waren auch sehr lecker. Das Ambient war auch sehr schön, es passte gut zum feeling. Ich empfehle das Restaurant sehr :)

Es wurde alles „geliefert“ wie erwartet, die Charmoffensive Monsieur Kieffers, tolle Teller von Nathalie Leblond, ihrem Sous Chef und „Bäcker aus Liebe“ Florian Brunner und Team. Leider wurden viele unserer Erwartungen enttäuscht. Beim Aperitif fragten wir, ob es etwas zu den Getränken gäbe, zum Beispiel einfache Chips, Oliven oder Erdnüsse. Uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass sie nichts davon hätten. Es war unglaublich, dass wir in einem Lokal wie diesem, das sich gerne und durchaus edel gibt, einen solchen Mangel feststellen mussten.

Es war ein rundum wunderschöner Abend – vom ersten Moment bis zum Abschied hat einfach alles gepasst. Der Service war durchgehend ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Die Küche ist ein absoluter Traum: Jedes Gericht war hervorragend zubereitet und geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau. Genau für solche kulinarischen Erlebnisse gehe ich gerne essen. Schade, dass ich etwas weiter entfernt wohne – sonst wäre ich definitiv ein Stammgast. Beim nächsten Besuch in München werde ich aber ganz sicher wieder vorbeikommen. Wir waren soeben im Les Deux beim essen. Nachdem der Kellner und gewisse Gerichte nicht einmal erklären konnte, haben wir uns für zwei Vorspeisen entschieden. Wir haben für zwei Getränke und zwei Vorspeisen 70€ bezahlt was unverschämt für Service und Qualität ist. Noch dazu kommt, dass pro Person 3€ berechnet wurden für EINE Scheibe Brot mit Aufstrich. Darauf wurden wir nicht hingewiesen und auch nicht gefragt, ob wir Brot möchten, es wurde einfach hingestellt. In einem so hochpreisigen Restaurant ist das immer ein Gruß der Küche. Dass man dann auch noch bezahlen muss ohne jegliche Info ist an Dreistigkeit nicht zu überbieten. Tische sind absolut zerkratzt und hat nichts mit exklusiv zu tun.

Tolles Ambiente und sehr leckeres Essen!

Sowohl im Restaurant als auch in der Brasserie: Köstliches Essen, aufmeksamer Service. Hat halt aber seinen Preis :)

Es ist faszinierend, wie sich das „Les Deux“ über viele Jahre gehalten und weiterentwickelt hat - die Qualität wuchs von Besuch zu Besuch, die Menüs sind wechselnd und immer interessant; unter Frau Leblond auch diesmal eine Steigerung. Und Herr Kieffer bleibt der Fels in der Brandung…Seine Weinberatung (die bei einer so umfangreichen Weinkarte notwendig ist) möchte ich nicht missen.

Ein absolut außergewöhnliches Erlebnis! Jedes Gericht war exquisit raffiniert, perfekt zubereitet und ein wahres Geschmackserlebnis – eine kulinarische Reise von Anfang bis Ende. Der Service war bemerkenswert, mit viel Liebe zum Detail, ohne jemals aufdringlich zu sein, was das Erlebnis noch angenehmer machte. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Sommelier Vincent für seine Weinauswahl, die einfach perfekt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail auf die Gerichte abgestimmt war. Dieses Restaurant ist wirklich unvergesslich; wir kommen bei unserem nächsten Besuch in München ganz sicher wieder. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Ich bin hier auf ein Mittagessen dann doch recht gezielt vorbeigekommen. Da ich die online Speisekarte angeschaut hatte, war die Auswahl klar. Beef Tatar und dann Kalbsbries! Wer Kalbsbrie liebt, sollte vorbeigekommen - unbedingt! Es ist definitiv nicht günstig, aber man kann sich mal was gönnen

Der Service war herausragend, stets präsent und dabei angenehm unaufdringlich. Das Essen war schlichtweg ein Erlebnis! Besonders beeindruckend war die persönliche Präsentation von Florians hausgebackenem Brot, ein Moment, der in Erinnerung bleibt. Ich war inzwischen bereits viermal dort und komme immer wieder gerne zurück. Wer echte Leidenschaft spüren möchte, sollte unbedingt ins Les Deux gehen.

Mateo hat uns herzlich begrüßt und sofort das Gefühl gegeben, willkommen zu sein – ein perfekter Start in unseren Abend, auch wenn er nur kurz vor unserem Kinobesuch war. Und Danke dass Ihr uns so kurzfristig ohne Reservierung noch einen Platz angeboten habt. Die Speisen waren hervorragend zusammengestellt: Der Lachs mit Krustentiersauce war unglaublich weich, zart und perfekt ausbalanciert – ein echtes Highlight. Dazu der gemischte Satz von Wieninger, der das Gericht wunderbar ergänzt hat. Das Thunfischtartar mit Kartoffel war exzellent – frisch, fein abgestimmt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Der krönende Abschluss: Windbeutel und Milchreismousse – leicht, raffiniert und einfach köstlich. Absolut perfekt! Vom Service über das stilvolle Interieur bis hin zu den aufmerksamen und freundlichen Mitarbeitern – besser geht es wirklich nicht. Selbst in kurzer Zeit ein rundum gelungener Abend, den man so schnell nicht vergisst! Wir kommen wieder und reservieren vorher ;-)

Les Deux Brasserie: Meine liebste Adresse in München für fine dining unter der Woche. Die Gerichte sind alle auf allerhöchstem Niveau, geschmacklich perfekt und wunderschön auf den Teller gebracht. Der Service ist perfekt und trotzdem herzlich, hier fühlt man sich sofort wohl. Die Getränkeberatung ist entsprechend, ganz auf die persönlichen Vorlieben eingehend und ideal zum Essen abgestimmt. Das ganze findet in wunderschön modernem Ambiente statt, die Brasserie ist einfach die perfekte Ergänzung zum Les Deux Gourmet-Restaurant.

Sehr feines Essen, klar französisch ausgerichtet. Eine kleine Panne im Service wurde nicht abgestritten, sondern es gab eine Entschuldigung mit einem Glas Wein/Espresso; so wünscht man sich das als Kunde. Gut gehandelt. Athmosphäre und Stimmung im Lokal sehr angenehm und entspannt, wir kommen wieder!

Überteuert, Preis steht in keinstem Verhältnis. Da gibt es in München, insbesondere Mittags, für die gleiche Qualität Orte zum halben Preis. Zusätzlich wird mit dem Brot gegeizt und das komplette Restaurant inkl. Service ist nicht stimmig. 100€ für ein Mittagessen mit Wasser und zudem nicht satt geworden.

Wir hatten 1x geschmorte Kalbsbacke & 1x Steak au poivre. Essen: Die geschmorte Kalbsbacke war leider nicht zart und fiel auch nicht auseinander, wie es sein sollte. Das Steak au poivre war richtig gut, nur der Bimi Brokkoli war leider nicht knackig. Die Zähne hatten richtig Arbeit ihn zu kauen. Service: Professionell. Ambiente: Nett, aber definitiv keine französische Brasserie. Wir leben 6 Monate im Jahr an der Cote d'Azur & in Paris und Les Deux hat mit einer französischen Brasserie nichts zu tun. Preis-Leistung: Ausbaufähig. Empfehlung: Ja, kann man machen, muss man aber nicht ;)

Ein fantastischer Abend im Les Deux. Die Handschrift von Nathalie Leblond ist beeindruckend: Jedes Gericht überzeugt durch klare Aromen und eine perfekte Balance, wie etwa der wunderbar gegarte Kaisergranat. ​Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Service – professionell, aufmerksam und angenehm unaufgeregt. Hier steht der Gast und das Produkt im Mittelpunkt, ohne steife Etikette. Eine absolute Empfehlung für alle, die moderne Spitzenküche in herzlicher Atmosphäre suchen.

Es ist ein gutes Restaurant, aber ehrlich gesagt hätte ich für den Preis deutlich mehr erwartet. Das Essen ist okay, aber für das Gebotene ist es zu teuer.

Mega Service Mega Geschmackserlebnis Es geht nicht besser Danke für den tollen Abend

Guter Service und ein nettes Restaurant in der Nähe des Marienplatzes. Das Essen war gut, aber ich habe anderswo schon besser gegessen. Insgesamt ein gutes Restaurant, wenn man etwas Schönes essen gehen möchte.

Wir hatten vor Monaten für letzte Woche einen Tisch für vier Personen in diesem Restaurant reserviert. Ich ahnte damals nicht, dass es sich um ein festliches Abendessen handeln würde, da ich mich am selben Tag verlobt hatte. Wir kamen im Restaurant an, aber es gab keine Hostess. Wir mussten uns selbst einen Tisch suchen. Wir erklärten dem Kellner, dass wir etwas zu feiern hätten, bestellten eine Flasche Champagner und eine Flasche Wein und sagten ihm, dass wir das Menü nehmen würden. Eine unserer Gäste isst keinen Fisch, deshalb brachte man ihr die Speisekarte mit Fleischgerichten. Wir bekamen die ersten drei Gänge und bestellten zusätzlich etwas à la carte. 30 Minuten vergingen, und wir nahmen an, dass das Restaurant einfach nur viel zu tun hatte und die Gerichte schnell abgearbeitet wurden. Nach 45 Minuten fragten wir schließlich nach dem nächsten Gang. Man sagte uns, da wir à la carte bestellt hatten, hätten sie nicht gedacht, dass wir das Menü nehmen würden. Genauer gesagt, man sagte uns, wir hätten gesagt, dass wir kein Menü nehmen würden. Ich fragte, warum ich Ihnen mitteilen sollte, dass ich etwas zu feiern hatte, ein spezielles Menü für einen unserer Gäste bestellt und mich nach einigen Gängen des Menüs erkundigt hatte, nur um dann die ersten drei Gänge (einer davon war Brot) serviert zu bekommen und damit für den Abend fertig zu sein? Es handelte sich um eine Tischreservierung, und wir aßen lediglich eine Jakobsmuschel, ein Stück Brot und Tatar. Die Küche war bereits geschlossen, also baten wir um die Rechnung (420 Euro später) in der Hoffnung, ein anderes geöffnetes Restaurant zu finden. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war es 21:30 Uhr. Man wiederholte immer wieder, wir hätten es ihnen gesagt, und ich erklärte ihnen wiederholt, dass es offensichtlich eine Sprachbarriere gab. Natürlich übernahmen sie keinerlei Verantwortung, waren sehr unfreundlich und kühl, und es war das erste Mal für unsere beiden Freunde, dass sie in einem Michelin-Restaurant waren. Wir taten ihnen sehr leid wegen ihrer ersten Erfahrung und waren enttäuscht, dass wir so feiern mussten. Wir fanden ein Restaurant in der Nähe unseres Hotels (kein Michelin-Restaurant), und dort wurde der schlechte Service mehr als wettgemacht. Wir verließen das Restaurant zufrieden und satt von Essen und Wein. Kurz gesagt: Geben Sie Ihr Geld nicht hier aus. Es gibt in München viele Orte, an denen Sie und Ihre Zeit respektiert werden und Sie sich als geschätzter Kunde fühlen.

Das Restaurant bietet ein zweigeteiltes französisches Gastronomiekonzept: unten ein Bistro und oben ein mit einem Michelin-Stern ausgezeichnetes Gourmetrestaurant. Wunderschöne Atmosphäre, erstklassiger Service und fantastisches Essen, insbesondere die Saucen. Auch die Kunst ist großartig. Mir gefallen die Fotos von Prominenten. Ich gehe jedes Mal dorthin, wenn ich in München bin. Zwar etwas teuer, aber wirklich exzellent, romantisch und jeden Cent wert. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch. Eine Reservierung ist unbedingt erforderlich.

We went to the brasserie. The ambiance was lovely, but the music was almost too loud. The service was very warm and attentive. For starters, we had beef tartare and scallops. Both were divine; the scallops were incredibly tender. The tartare was perfectly seasoned. For the main course, we had Kiko chicken, which was tasty but a bit small for the price (without a side dish). The lobster tortellini were delicious and had a very well-seasoned filling. For dessert, we had plum compote served with a champagne foam. The combination was incredibly delicious and had a refreshing lemon sorbet at its center. The poppy seed mousse was also very tasty; the combination with the basil foam and banana ice cream was perfect. The restaurant is highly recommended (it's best to reserve in advance, as it was quite busy).

Every time is an experience. In my opinion, it definitely deserves a second star. The wine pairing is highly recommended, and the waiters and sommeliers are all very, very friendly. The food is so exceptional and inspired, unlike anything I've ever experienced. Simply fantastic.

Les Deux is by far the best restaurant in Munich. The brasserie on the ground floor offers incredibly good and sophisticated cuisine! The staff is exceptionally attentive and personable, catering perfectly to each guest. The menu changes seasonally and always features fresh and expertly prepared dishes, from oysters and game to vegetarian options – there's truly something for everyone! While the prices are on the higher end, this is justified by the outstanding cuisine, attentive service, and fresh ingredients. Anyone dining in the brasserie of a Michelin-starred restaurant should expect this. However, the value for money is very fair.

An unhygienic restaurant and dishonest owner- Fabrice K. PLEASE DO NOT DISTORT THE FACT ON GOOGLE REVIEW. ON 21 OCTOBER 2025: 1. I noticed visible dust inside our wine glass, it looks like fragments of paper towel, so I hold it gently with my one hand to check. THE FACT IS: Owner shout loud at us "DO NOT BREAK MY GLASS!!" 2. I then asking nicely "There is some dust inside, can we change one?" As consumer rights, I assumed I have the rights to change the tableware if found unclean. THE FACT IS: Owner said "I KNOW" with an unpleasant face, ignoring our request and walked away. 3. On my previous google review, owner claimed that we brought a wine "uncorked" which is also listed on his menu. Sounds we did not follow the rules. THE FACT IS: We have contacted the restaurant before our arrival to check the rule, a female receptionist told us welcome to bring and Corkage Fee is 90 euro per bottle. (I have all the communication record) 4. Owner also claimed that the staff was marked unfriendly by us and he replied "deeply regret" on previous google review. THE FACT IS: The person who being unfriendly was the Owner, not the staff. A male server witnessed all and come apologies to us on behalf of the owner. Server even told us "The Owner is in a bad mood today". 5. I believed the gold standard of a Michelin Star restaurant NOT ONLY about delicious food and ambience, but also about hygiene, attitude and respect to all race (Asian like us). I've trusted Michelin guidance and went to their awarded restaurant for so many years, this is THE FIRST TIME I had such disgraceful experience. With such dining experience, I shall let Michelin to review it.

Very fine cuisine; we've been to Les Deux several times now and have been delighted every time. Very attentive service and excellent advice. The mix of traditional French cuisine with modern Asian touches is truly incredibly well done. We'd love to come back.

I had a really disappointing experience at that restaurant. I mentioned the restaurant owner being racist, the wine glass being dusty, and receiving bad attitude from the owner . I left the restaurant before the dinner .That's frustrating and unacceptable.

Made reservations, did the chef's tasting menu, and it was worth every penny. Food was delicious and an amazing combination of complementary flavors and textures. Walked away stuffed and very satisfied. Would absolutely go again for a special occasion. Was expensive but worth it.

I had dinner at Les Deux – Brasserie and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is elegant and calm, giving you the feel of fine dining without being overly formal. The service was excellent, with the staff being friendly and attentive to every detail. Honestly, this is one of the best restaurants in Munich. I recommend making a reservation in advance as it tends to get quite busy, especially during dinner time. Overall, it was a memorable evening, and I’d definitely come back again.

Whether gourmet or brasserie, for us it's the best restaurant in Munich. Whenever we're in town, Le Deux is a must. There's absolutely nothing here to criticize or find fault with. Simply put, that's exactly how modern gastronomy works. The service is friendly, attentive, always there, but never intrusive. The cuisine is perfect, every course a highlight. The ambiance is modern, not over-the-top, but still elegant. Our two four-legged friends are always warmly welcomed and always generously supplied with water. And you won't believe it, they don't charge for dog water. Le Deux is simply recommended. And what's right here, unlike many other Michelin-starred restaurants, is the value for money. I arrived at the restaurant and wanted a table for two people, but the waiter refused to let us in without a reservation. The excuse was that there were no empty tables, even though the restaurant was empty, especially since it was 6 pm. I went to the website to make a reservation and found that reservations were available, but he didn’t help me make a reservation at the same time!!

Amazing place with excellent service and food to remember. Our plates looked like a piece of art and the tasted like heaven. Steak tartare, miso soup, crème brûlée, steak with pepper sauce did our day.

The food is delicious, and the service and ambiance are phenomenal. It's not exactly cheap, but if you're willing to spend a little more or have a special occasion, Les Deux is a great place to go.

We had an excellent restaurant experience – the main courses were extremely tasty and completely satisfied. However, the dessert selection was unfortunately very limited and disappointing in terms of taste. What irritated us most was the inappropriate practice: We were served bread and butter as a "compliment," without having ordered it beforehand – and were subsequently charged €6 for it. We found this absolutely incomprehensible.

I had the pleasure to had lunch at Lex Deux. All the dishes where amazing. The wine was also really good. We ate at the first floor which as a great view. You are not sitting supr close to the next guests which is a plus. The restrooms can be reached via elevator as they are down 2 floors. I can only recommend this place!

It’s hard to exaggerate how wonderful our meals were at Les Deux Brasserie. It was near our hotel and we were looking for something other than the usual Munich Bavarian fare. Our first meal there was lunch on the beautiful patio. Great setting, fun people watching, and attentive and friendly/welcoming service. Our choices at lunch included the gazpacho, the gnocchi, and the steamed cod. All were incredibly well prepared and presented and absolutely delicious! My previous experiences with Michelin Star restaurants is that the food can be fussy and not particularly satisfying. That’s not the case at all at Les Deux! The food is incredibly delicious and satisfying. So we went back for dinner and had an equally great experience. Our server again was a young gentleman from Croatia who took great care of us. Our dinner choices included burrata salad, beef tartare, Kikok chicken, grilled St. Pierre, and the steak frites. I’d never tried beef tartar even though I enjoy very rare steak, and the beef tartar at Les Deux was a revelation. I see why so many people were ordering it. I also appreciate that you can tell that every bite of food at Les Deux is clearly sourced from the very best providers. As a fairly decent cook myself, I can tell when the ingredients in a dish are the absolute best available. And did I mention, in my opinion, Les Deux is very reasonably priced? We may never get back to Munich, but the memories of the perfect meals we had at Les Deux will remain with me. Thank you to all of the folks at Les Deux who make it happen.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and were absolutely blown away. The flavor creations are simply little miracles. With each course, we were more and more amazed. Everything was just perfect. The sommelier, host, and service staff were all top-notch, fun, and efficient. Everyone contributed, was attentive, and showed real commitment to Les Deux. The wine (we gladly opted for the sommelier’s wine pairing) was simply fabulous. One wine was a blend of five vintages, another was my first Viognier, and the wine served with the pre-dessert was from Piedmont and had a wonderful cherry aroma. The service staff answered all our questions and were excellently informed. All in all, a real 5-star experience of the highest class. Here, 'The Bear' or 'The Taste' is truly brought to life in Munich. Nathalie Lablond is a magician who manages to nail taste, presentation, and aroma so perfectly that the price is more than justified. Thank you!

Wir haben unser Hochzeitstag hier zelebriert und waren hin und weg. Die Geschmackskreationen sind einfach kleine Wunder. Nach jeder Zubereitung kamen wir mehr ins Staunen. Alles hat einfach gepasst. Der Sommelier und Gastgeben sowie der Service waren alle erstklassig, lustig und effizient. Jeder hat mitgeholfen, war aufmerksam und zeigte Commitment für das Les Deux. Der Wein (wir haben die Weinbegleitung des Sommeliers gerne in Anspruch genommen) war schichtweg fabelhaft. Ein Wein war eine Mischung aus 5 Jahrgängen, ein Anderer mein erster Viognier und der Wein zum Pre-Dessert war ein Wein aus Piemont welcher wunderbar nach Kirschen roch. Der Service hat stets Fragen beantwortet und war hervorragend informiert. Einfach all-in-all ein 5 Sterne Erlebnis der höchsten Klasse. Hier wird "The Bear" oder "The Taste" stets in der Münchner Realität umgesetzt. Nathalie Lablond ist eine Zauberin die es schafft Geschmack, Aussehen und Geruch so auf den Punkt zu bringen, das es den Preis mehr als berechtigt. Danke!

Really good restaurant. Veal Tongue was very good as a starter. The staff were very professional and service oriented. Only part of the "food experience" we did not like was the strength of the cocktails. Made them almost hard to drink. Other than that would go back again.

Had dinner at Les Deux recently and was seriously impressed. The food was excellent — a really smart blend of French finesse with local German ingredients. The one negative is the food is a bit pricey.

Very successful gastronomic program both on the 1st floor and on the ground floor in the heart of Munich.

The downside is that the toilets in the restroom are very low. Everything else is great! Special thanks for the soap and hand cream of a famous brand! Comfortable seats inside and outside. Beautiful everywhere! Drinks, wine, food - it's not just delicious, it's art! The service is great! The speed of service is amazing! This is the best restaurant I've visited in the last 2 years!

Good, not great. The food was mostly good, just not quite worth the premium price tag. The “shrimp cocktail” was tiny shrimp covered in a creamy mayo like sauce on toast… average at best. The duck liver was excellent. The servers were kind, but very delayed in bringing our food. We ordered everything immediately, but dinner was still over 2.5 hours. Our kids were watching shows at the table by the end. It was good, just not nearly worth the very steep price tag.

Review of the gourmet restaurant on the first floor: A Michelin-starred restaurant in downtown Munich, located in an architecturally interesting building in the Fünf Höfe district. What stands out at Les Deux from the first to the last minute is the outstanding service. Attentive, charming, articulate, always on hand, but never to the point where you feel like you're being watched. The 6-course menu is beyond reproach. Arranged on the plate with great attention to detail, with subtle nuances of flavor and the interplay of the individual ingredients. Currently featuring lobster, mackerel, and lobster with a focus on aquatic animals, it concludes with a pigeon dish, which some might prefer to replace with an alternative, as it can be a bit tough or stringy depending on the piece. Apart from that, among the other outstanding courses, only the pre-dessert, a Magnum-style ice cream, falls somewhat short, as it is too sweet, too large in relation to the other courses, and difficult to eat in its current composition. The asking price for the menu is still more than reasonable. The drink prices can be described as assertive, not uncommon in the restaurant industry, but here, at €10 per bottle of water or €25 for a glass of a good, but not exquisite, rosé champagne, they're on the higher end. We had a fantastic evening and look forward to our next visit. 5 stars for the gourmet restaurant. Update to the previous review of the brasserie on the ground floor, Oct. 21: The Brasserie Les Deux on the ground floor has significantly raised its prices following a change of head chef and has eliminated the more reasonably priced dishes without replacement. Therefore, the brasserie is no longer an insider tip. Depending on the server, the service continues to be either outstanding or average for the price. The latter was observed especially outside. The menu selection now ranges from €30+ for main courses, with one or two exceptions. The quality is very good to excellent, but the price level here is still not entirely justified. After our last two visits under new management, our enthusiasm for the brasserie has waned.

Business dinner for 4. Two arrived early and ordered a beer. They were out of beer! (that’s a first time experience in Munich!!). They pushed a glass of wine instead (not really what we wanted), so you would expect that at least to be complimentary. Not so - fully charged. Just not good style. Food was good - we all got the set menu. Sitting outside was pleasant. Total bill +400 Euro. The waiter then asked for a 10% tip!! Is this something new in Europe?? I understand tipping in the US where waiters are paid very little. And other low-paying countries. I believe waiters are paid fairly in Germany, or? Maybe just taking advantage of foreigners - we were a mix from 3 continents. Overall, good food and ambiance. Poor service for a restaurant claiming to be fine dining and that unfortunately put a dent in the experience.
