Unfortunately we didn't make it to the table at Alois because the chef didn't have an answer to my wife's milk protein allergy. We had a reservation with 2 friends and were really looking forward to the new chef at Alois. But when we stated the allergy, it simply said that almost all dishes were prepared or refined with butter, cream or milk/yoghurt. So you can't offer my wife anything. I understand the team's caution and didn't find the rejection unpleasant and really friendly. But I was very surprised that a 2-star restaurant in the 21st century can't or doesn't want to find any answer to a well-known allergy. This has never happened to us before. Every chef - including in Munich - listened to my wife and either slightly changed the menu or the corresponding preparations - without sacrificing taste or quality. That's what I expect from one star and that's how we know it, no matter where we eat in the world. Unfortunately, Alois failed here and left us somewhat at a loss.

We enjoyed an all-round successful evening with an excellent, nuanced, original and very well coordinated menu sequence with 16 courses and a well-harmonized non-alcoholic drinks sequence. Due to the lack of a babysitter, our children (primary school and lower school age) were there and, after making an appointment, they received child-friendly and very tasty meals. The menu and service left nothing to be desired! The evening as a whole was a pleasure that we will remember fondly for a long time. Many thanks to the great team and especially to Rosina Ostler.

After I visited the two-star Tantris restaurant at lunchtime on day number four of my gourmet tour through Munich, I went to the Alois in the renowned Dallmayer delicatessen in the evening, which was also awarded two stars. After a few chef changes in recent years, Munich-born Rosina Ostler, probably still known to some from her appearance on The Taste, took over command of the kitchen at the end of 2023 and delights guests with a 16-course creative, modern and surprising menu. The staircase with the red steps should have given it away, they lead directly to heaven - a heaven for gourmet hosts with a lot of feeling. The atmosphere at the table is very reserved and makes you curious about what is to come. What makes a great experience? That you can't get it out of your head. That's exactly what happened to us. Many thanks to the entire ALOIS team for this phenomenal lunch menu. We enjoyed the lovingly prepared delicacies (each an absolute work of art) with all our senses. The service was terrific and the Sommelier Special wine accompaniment was worthy of honor. A visit like love at first bite 🫶and unforgettable 👏🏼!

Incredible setup, the fine dining experience is elevated to New Levels when visiting Alois. I’ll warmly recommend to book well in advance and go for the excellent tasting menu, it is costly but it’s worth it!

We were there for a fine dining dinner for two and had a wonderful evening. The dishes in the 17-course menu were each something special, great creations and wonderfully coordinated combinations. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was relaxed, calm and casual without losing the appeal of fine dining. We also loved the additional explanations about the products and the short visit to the kitchen.

Great service and very nice atmosphere! Unfortunately, a constantly crying baby spoiled the experience. The food was ok. I expected more for the price and so far I have tasted it better at other star restaurants in Munich. The wine selection was very good and the champagne was delicious!

Let's start this by saying this was my first 2 Michelin star experience. This review is based on the lunch menu in Alois Fine dining restaurant where you have to make a reservation in order to eat there. The atmosphere and the service here was exceptional! They made sure you know you are in good hands and everything is taken care of since the moment you step in. The lunch I ate was an 11 course menu. Detailed review for each dish: Starter course Carrots with garlic butter in coffee sauce and carrots with dill and chips A good small portion that cleans the mouth very well Second course Kolorhabi with seaweed and ice cream inside is a super interesting dish, surprising flavors and everything comes together in an excellent way, makes appetite for more. This is a bite portion and eaten all at once Third course Blue clam, mustard lettuce and mustard leaves You can feel the freshness, everything comes together, the taste of the sea is noticeable but does not overpower the other flavors in the dish and comes together well, the dish sits in seaweed and is also eaten in one bite. The dish is reminiscent of a refreshing salad. As not a big fan of oysters it was really tasty and you don't notice the oyster visually Fourth course Tartar and red shrimp in a crispy potato shell, the taste of chips on a campfire, a very accurate and successful dish, it is crispy but soft in the mouth, very successful, the best dish I have eaten here A fifth course Chestnut wild boar and elderflower A very tasty fruity dish The flavors combine very well in the mouth There is a combination of sweet and salty The flavors stay in the mouth and give a feeling of more The pork is not felt as meat but as something very light in the mouth with a very good texture sixth dish Liver of char (fish) served with a brioche bun coated with honey in blueberry sauce eaten with your hands a very tasty dish a different type of liver than I have eaten, the taste is not of fish but very reminiscent of foie gras in flavors A big dish is dirty and bring a hot towel to clean your hands after seventh dish Mashed peas served with apple-flavored mint in a sauce made from peas and black pepper A slightly spicy dish that gives a special twist to the peas and refreshes with fresh leaves. Eighth course Trout fish with poppy seeds and pineapple tomato in a sauce at room temperature. The fish melts in your mouth and is very tasty. The sauce accompanies it well, the flavors combine well. The sourness of the tomato is a little too strong for my taste, but still very tasty. Ninth course Grape date lemon sorbet and sweet pepper cleans the flavors in the mouth refreshing sour and light perfect for refreshment Tenth course A piece of deer topped with sliced sausages made here in a sauce alongside fresh peaches, sunflower seeds and fine tahini underneath The second best dish I ate here, both in size and in quality, the deer melts in your mouth and is very easy to cut with all the sauce and ingredients around it, everything goes together very well and is very pleasant in the mouth, the dish is not too heavy and sits firmly in place Eleventh course Strawberry sorbet with lemon served with different types of strawberries from Germany in an excellent dessert strawberry sauce with many combinations of textures and flavors, soft and cold crispy. The flavors combine excellently, the dessert is quite large and sums up the meal in an excellent way ending 2 small bites of desserts that go with the espresso, one with crackling in the mouth after and one with whipped cream and light cream Excellent espresso Overall this restaurant is not cheap but I would 100% recommend coming here to experience an amazing fine dining. I would consider this an attraction more than just a dinner so really worth the price you pay!

This rating is really difficult: after eating in the restaurant, I was of the opinion that these 17 courses were among the best I had ever eaten. However, I and my companion had problems afterwards: mainly a feeling of fullness and slight nausea.

The staff was impolite to me. I ordered a cappuccino but a black coffee came. It was okay just to change and I could say sorry if it was my misunderstanding. But why is she putting the blame on me? Her attitude made me feel bad so the breakfast was not good as well.

Overpriced and no more than “ok”. We waited an extremely long time for the food and it was served lukewarm. But the waitress was super friendly; after all, she can't help it if the kitchen doesn't live up to expectations. As the saying goes: more appearance than reality.

Es war bereits im Februar, 2 Sterne, super freundlicher Empfang mit einem sehr aufmerksamen Somelier, wie wenn er hellsehen konnte, empfahl er eine Flasche La Closerie Champagner, genau so muss das sein. Die weiteren Empfehlungen waren natürlich auch großartig. Der Service war vorzüglich und aufmerksam, die Küchenleistung hatte ihre 2 Sterne zu 100% verdient, eine Menüfolge wie ein Feuerwerk der Geschmacks Explosionen, ich kann nur sagen Woow. Leider hat sich der Küchenchef verabschiedet und wir müssen wieder einmal die neue Crew testen

Empfehlung: der kleine Nebenraum in der ersten Etage. Es wird empfohlen zu reservieren. Service aufmerksam und schnell. Die Karte ist nicht besonders groß aber ausreichend. Die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet und schmecken sehr lecker.

Einfach top 🔝 Ich war zum ersten mal im Alois und es war ein sehr gelungener Abend. Das Ambiente und die Atmosphäre sehr einladend. Der Service war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und professionell. Die 17 Gänge und der Abend gingen vorbei wie im Flug. Die Speisen waren sehr delikat und ein Augenschmaus. Manchmal hätte man sich größere Portionen gewünscht weil es so lecker war 😁 Rundum war es ein sehr schöner und besonderer Abend. Klare Empfehlung! Danke und gerne wieder 😁

Das Ambiente ist vielleicht nicht mehr das frischeste. Aber das Essen, die Getränkebegleitung und der grossartige Service lassen das schnell in den Hintergrund rücken. Tolles Menü mit grossartigen Kreationen (explizit auch die alkoholfreie Getränkebegleitung sei erwähnt). Dazu die Erläuterungen zu den Produkten und die Möglichkeit einen Gang in der Küche (inkl entsprechendem Einblick) geniessen zu dürfen. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Abend! Vielen Dank!

Das Alois unter dem neuen Koch Max Natmessnig besticht durch eine geschmacksintensive Küche mit sehr vielen, kleinen Gerichten mit wenig Kohlenhydraten. Wir hatten einen fantastischen Abend mit einem sehr guten Service und sehr vielen exzellenten Gerichten. Für das Geld und mit Blick auf die 2 Sterne erhält man hier einen wunderbaren Einblick in die Sterneküche. Da haben wir schon deutlich schlechter bei alteingesessenen 2 Sterne Restaurants in München gegessen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir haben über die Warteliste einen Platz bekommen. Der neue Koch und seine Frau sind sehr freundlich, das Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Wir haben das 19 Gänge Menü mit Weinbegleitung genommen. Es war einfach eine herrliche Erfahrung eine tolle Reise. Jeder Gang war unvergesslich. Sehr schön fanden wir, dass wir sowohl in der Küche als auch in die Produkte einbezogen wurden. Dadurch hat es noch besser geschmeckt. Das Personal war super bemüht. Weiter so.

Wir waren vor gut einer Woche bei Herrn Natmessnig zum Diner und ich mußte das Ganze erst einmal verdauen! 17 zeitlich und geschmacklich perfekt aufeinanderfolgende Gerichte, eine charmante Südtiroler Servicefrau, ein genial gewitzter Weinsommeliere, ein Einblick in die verwendeten Produkte und ein Ausflug in die Küche und ich habe noch nirgends den Küchenchef so oft zu Gesicht bekommen, als im Alois. Bemerkenswert auch die Art und Weise, wie der Service die Gerichte präsentierte. Ein unvergesslicher Abend, ein kulinarisches Erlebnis. Es gäbe noch vieles, was erwähnenswert wäre, vielen Dank! Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch bei Herrn Natmessnig und seinem Team.

Ich durfte am Samstag Abend die Küche von Max Natmessnig im Alois Fine Dining Restaurant im Dallmayr in München bewundern und geniessen. Von den 16 Gängen hat jeder, wirklich jeder überzeugt und ein Geschmackserlebnis im Mund erzeugt. Überraschend, aussergewöhnlich, ambitioniert, modern interpretiert, Liebe zum Detail. Er beweisst, das man auch ohne die übliche Brotauswahl und diverse Aufstriche zu den ersten Gängen auskommen kann. Kochkunst auf allerhöchstem Niveau - ich bin mir sicher der nächste Anwärter auf eine 2-Sterne Verleihung. Beeindruckend ist aber auch der Service, die nicht steife sondern völlig ungezwunge Atmosphäre, genügend Zeit auch für einen Smalltalk, hervorragende Weinauswahl, Produktpräsentation durch einen Koch. Und nicht zuletzt, dass Max Natmessnig oft selbst serviert und die Saucen aufgiesst. Ganz zu schweigen davon, dass der Käsegang in der Küche serviert wurde. Ein Star und Stern am Münchner Gourmet-Himmel ! Gerne wieder .

Sorry Gentlemen but food is not up to the standards, the dish is crafted well but the taste is under average, However we were expecting a delicious meal for 120eruo after waiting for a long time for our mains. But honestly service and employees are great and professional.

Käfer Schänke is not just a restaurant; it’s a place where you truly experience Bavarian hospitality at its best. From the elegant decor to the excellent food and attentive service – everything was perfect. Our guests were captivated by the charming atmosphere, and the kitchen team once again delivered at the highest level. A special mention goes to the team for accommodating our requests with patience and professionalism, making sure we felt completely at home.
