Ein rundum hervorragender Abend im Halali in München: ausgezeichnete, raffinierte Küche, ein äußerst aufmerksamer und zugleich diskreter Service sowie eine stilvolle und angenehme Atmosphäre. Ein Restaurant, das Genuss, Eleganz und Gastfreundschaft perfekt vereint – absolut empfehlenswert.

Es gibt dort sehr gutes Essen und wir gehen dort immer gerne hin. Die Preise sind allerdings an die bayrischen Regierungsgehälter angepasst!

Es wurde schon viel gesagt, daher zusammenfassend: alles klasse und großartiges Essen!

Einzigartiges Restaurant. Exzellenter Service, außergewöhnliche Speisekarte und klassisch-deutsches Ambiente mit Jagdflair. Alle Gerichte waren hervorragend, besonders das Wildgericht war ein Highlight.

Der Besuch im Halali war ein kulinarischer Höhepunkt in angenehmem Ambiente. Eine Anregung: Es wäre vorteilhaft, wenn die Speisekarte auf der Website aktuell wäre.

Wir dürften die Toilette benutzen die arbeiteter waren sehr nett! Nichts bestellt aber sehr korrekt von Ihnen.

Tische sind teilweise sehr eng beinander gestellt. In so einem Restaurant der gehobeneren Küche würde ich mir mehr Privatsphäre wünschen. Essen und Service waren aber ansonsten OK.

Es ist immer wieder schön neue Location kennenzulernen. Angenehmer Service, sehr gutes Essen in entspannter Atmosphäre. Wir kommen gerne wieder:)

Wir haben am Valendienstag im Halali Rehconsomme mit Griesnockerl, Kartoffel-Lauchschaumsuppe mit Trüffeln, danach Kalbsschulter mit Kartoffelnpürre und Kohlrabirissotto mit schwarzem Trüffel gegessen. Als Dessert gab es Schokokuchen mit Beeren und Vanilleeis und Palatschinken mit Marillen. Alles war sehr lecker und sehr gut gekocht. Allerdings haben wir relativ lange auf unser Essen gewartet. Das Dessert war eine Geschmacksexplosion.

Ein tolles kleines Lokal mit fantastischer Atmosphäre. Die Kellner sind alle sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, und das Essen war einfach köstlich. Absolut empfehlenswert – allerdings sollte man etwas mehr Geld einplanen.

Der Service ist sehr gut, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, richtig gut. Das Essen war ok, die Vorspeisen waren besser als die Hauptgänge Aber die Lautstärke war unerträglich. Zu viele Tische und zu wenig Schallschlucker. Alles in allem nicht mehr ganz in der Balance von Preis und Leistung

I discovered this restaurant when I was here on a business trip, and the atmosphere, food, and service were all excellent, making it my favorite restaurant in Munich. I've been there a few times since then, but I visited yesterday with a couple of friends for the first time in a while and was once again impressed. Their speciality is their deer and other game dishes, which were truly delicious. I had the beef tartare yesterday, and the wasabi-based sauce was absolutely delicious for us Japanese. I'd definitely like to visit again if I come to Munich again.

The current difficulties facing the restaurant industry have prompted many restaurants to offer multi-course menus, some with wine included, at a reasonable price. However, these offerings often turn out to be a sham, with dishes made with very inexpensive ingredients given the most impressive names, but that doesn't change the fact that the food on offer is often poorly prepared. And that reminds me of the biblical quote "Many are called, but few are chosen." The restaurant HALALI, located on a quiet side street off Ludwigstrasse in Munich, which we visited on the recommendation of former Michelin-starred chef Johann Lafer, is truly a chosen one. A beautiful dining room, decorated in the classic style of the old-fashioned restaurants, offers visitors a worthy setting to enjoy the culinary experience offered by this establishment under the name "Summer Menu" for €69 per person, including a glass of wine with each course. After the welcome from the kitchen, a super-fresh slice of matjes garnished with smoked fish remoulade and freshly baked bread, the first course is a fantastic carpaccio of young beef, wafer-thinly sliced, garnished with shaved Parmesan and leaf salad. Perhaps the mayonnaise spread on the carpaccio could have been omitted and replaced with a few drizzles of olive oil; but that's a matter of taste. For the main course, the guest had the choice between a French chicken breast and a skin-on sea bream fillet. The poultry was coated with chanterelle mushroom risotto, and the fish with snow pea purée. Both dishes were served with leaf spinach. I tried a small piece of my wife's guinea fowl: gently seasoned, cooked to perfection, not rare, as is unfortunately so often considered contemporary by other chefs; absolute nonsense considering the potential for salmonella contamination. But the chef at Halali knows what he's doing; the chicken was perfect. My sea bream was fresh, buttery soft, simply delicious. The side dishes were perfectly matched and complemented the guinea fowl breast and the fish. The dessert melted my heart: a Bavarian cream that couldn't be better. Often too runny or too hard, lacking in flavor, but here it was a true poem of a perfect dessert. The berry garnish was crisp and fresh—what more could you want? The wines, all from Carnuntum, one of the smallest wine-growing regions in eastern Austria, came from the Glatzer and Markowitsch winery; the Brut Rose for dessert was from Potzinger in southern Styria, very good. I have to add one drop of bitterness to this cup of praise: To charge €11.50 for a glass of Brut Rose, which we treated ourselves to in addition to the menu, is already at the very top of the range, even for Munich; and... to burden the guest with a cover charge of €3 each; that was new to me as a frequent restaurant visitor. Conclusion: a top-notch menu, and that's all it's about, for a great price in a beautiful restaurant.

The best address for game dishes in Munich. But there's plenty more to choose from – the kitchen also excels at fish (the pike-perch!) and other excellent meat dishes. The service is unfussy and extremely professional.

I've been a sporadically visiting Halali for over five years. I'm fascinated by the quality of the food, the very friendly and attentive service, and the pleasant atmosphere. Consistent performance over several years is something that has become rare in today's restaurant industry, but at Halali, it's a reality.

The food tasted excellent. We're happy to head back to Halali for that. The service was pleasantly friendly and accommodating, which made us feel very welcome.

It's been a long time since I've had such a wonderful meal. Starting with the greeting from the kitchen through all the courses of the great menu (the truffle pasta - a dream...everything else too). There's always something to complain about, but everything was just perfect. In this kitchen, the chef knows his craft, and the chef is at the front with passion and knows how to pamper his guests. We are going back to Vienna and would love to take the restaurant home with us.

We were there for Valentine's Day dinner and were delighted from the start. The food was simply outstanding, from the quality to the presentation at the highest level. The service was excellent, courteous and very attentive, so we felt completely comfortable. The ambience was really nice and atmospheric, perfect for a romantic evening. What was particularly impressive was how the fine Austrian culture was conveyed uniquely and brilliantly. A real treat for all the senses! We highly recommend this place and will certainly return.

Halali blir bare bedre og bedre. Er man heldig som vi var sist, fikk vi sitte ved et rundt bord til høyre fra inngangen. Vi fikk presentert en spesialmeny som uten tvil var et meget godt valg. Den sjarmerende kelneren fikk deretter i oppgave å finne viner som passet til rettene, noe han utførte med stor suksess. Menyen var elegant avstemt, det var rett og slett en storartet opplevelse både visuellt og ikke minst smaksmessig. Vi kommer mer enn gjerne tilbake ved neste anledning.

Five stars across the board 🙌🏽 The concierge at Hotel Bayerischer Hof recommended Halali and it was one of the best concierge restaurant recommendations I've ever received. The service was friendly, attentive, not overbearing, not rushed. The wine recommendations were perfect! And the food was one of the best tasting menus I've ever had- not one dish was disappointing. Coming from NYC I thought the €91 price tag for a six course tasting menu was very reasonable. But you can also order a la carte. I included pictures of everything we ate which isn't really my style but it was just that good. I think we were the only tourists in the restaurant tonight and that's also a good sign- just locals and regulars and us.

Kirchweih goose menu at its finest... After the pumpkin cream soup, we were served a perfectly prepared goose with very, very good homemade potato dumplings and red cabbage. This whole consisting of breast and leg was by far one of the best I've ever had, a big compliment to the kitchen. I would also like to praise our waiter who was always friendly and attentive to us on this Sunday lunchtime. The dessert menu that followed, the Kaiserschmarrn, also tasted very good and, very importantly, not that sweet 👍🏽 So we'll definitely be back... ...until then all the best and thank you!

The food here was absolutely amazing. We had black pudding (my first time and divine), Bavarian eel, and the sweetbread. All of it was amazing perfect with a glass of Augustiner Helles.

This was the last night of a 17-day European trip. The food was amazing, the staff was amazing, and the atmosphere was amazing! Felix was the best!! We will definitely come back next time we are in Munich!

A meeting with a business friend led me to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the anticipation and expectations we had were not fulfilled. The ambience is classic Bavarian, seems cozy and well-kept. The waiter greeted us very reservedly and seemed a bit grumpy. He couldn't bring himself to smile the entire time we were in the restaurant. The food didn't convince us either. The taste and aromas didn't go beyond good mediocre, and the dessert in particular can only be described as tasteless and boring. I know this restaurant from previous visits and remember the cuisine here very differently. Too bad.

Gestern Abend im Restaurant Halali Wir begannen den Abend mit einem Glas 1860 Brut rosé von Stefan Potzinger, hell rosenholzfarben, schöne Frucht, feinperlig, angenehmer Trinkfluss, sehr schöner Einstieg. Der Gruß aus der Küche war eine Räucherfischsülze in einer pikanten Senfsauce, fein und sehr gut. Zum ersten Gang, einer hervorragenden getrüffelten Perlhuhn-Gänseleberpastete, schön kombiniert, wurde der 2020 Château Béla Riesling aus der Slowakei serviert, blass sonnengelb, frische Säure, feine Mineralik, ausgeprägte Frucht. Egon Müller hat Bela wieder zu dem Spitzenweingut gemacht, das die Krutzlers in den 1990ern auf den Weg brachten. Darauf folgte die knusprige Garnele mit Currylinsen, sehr gut, harmonisches Geschmackserlebnis. Der Wein, 2004 Wess grüner Veltliner Loibenberg, goldgelb, nach 20 Jahren immer noch frisch, ohne Alterungsanzeichen, filigran, eine Freude, einen solch reifen und angenehm zu trinkenden Wein in einem Restaurant zu bekommen. Das mit Wodka aufgegossene Basilikumsorbet war wunderbar filigran und mild. Das Filet vom Maibock war perfekt gegart, geschmacklich hervorragend, butterzart, ein Traum. Dazu wieder eine Freude, der 2007 Castello di Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Riserva, kirschrot, dunkel, Gewürznoten, sehr gute Ergänzung. Fast noch besser war Uwe Schiefers 2010 Blaufränkisch Reihburg, tief dunkel samtrot, kraftvoll und doch vielschichtig, fantastisch! Der abschließende Rhabarberschaum mit Sauerrahmeis war eine Erfrischung, leicht und frühlingshaft. Dazu war der 2017 Czamillonberg Trockenbeerenauslese von Stefan Potzinger die perfekte Ergänzung: Honiggelb, angenehm süß ohne pappig zu sein. Ein großes Dankeschön an das Halali-Team für einen gelungenen Abend. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Mut, großartige reife Weine zu servieren.

Fantastic, it couldn't have been a better choice to celebrate my birthday as a couple! The sensation was the Blutwurst starter/ small ones, sensational, with some apple zest on the mashed potatoes with truffle oil/ then I ordered the fish soup as a second starter, which was also top notch!! To finish off a dish with several fish! Service was super cordial and traditional

Eigentlich waren die hausgemachten Blutwürstchen mit ihren delikaten Beilagen als Titel hier vorgesehen doch diese eisgekühlte Überraschung die nach dem Zwischengericht kredenzt wurde war das Heileit unter den Heileits. Sehr freundlicher und zugewandter Service, gepflegt rustikale Einrichtung in schönem Gemäuer : eine Top Empfehlung unweit des Odeonsplatzes.

In a town where German / Bavarian food is primarily available in the traditional Bavarian beer houses, the concept of tasting such cuisine in a more upscale setting looked appealing. The menu features many German classics with some international additions. The interior of the restaurant is very nice, traditionally German, but in an upscale way. At the end of the day, we basically received what the places promises - good German food with an excellent service in a classy ambience. However, given that at Halali those German classics are quite a bit more expensive than in the more rustic places in town, we expected the food (including presentation) to be a bit more refined and maybe with a special or creative touch that distinguishes it from the rest of the pack. But it wasn't to be. In all fairness, everything we had tasted very well. But neither was the food presentation any special, nor was the taste much different from other good German restaurants. In line with the concept of the place, they not only serve beer, but also have a fairly large wine list. However, there is no bottle for less than 40 €, a small selection in the range of 50 € and an abundance of choice around 100 €. All in all we had a nice evening and didn't really regret visiting Halali. So if you want to sample traditional German food in a more upscale setting and don't mind paying a premium for that, Halali is a good choice. But if you are a value-minded diner, this is not your place.

Just all around good. Food very good and haute cousine but at the same time refreshingly down to earth and not following the - often absurd - zeitgeist towards mini portions with 500 ingredients picked under the full moon. Worth a visit for that alone. The meal is rounded off by the very courteous, but never intrusive, staff and a very nice ambience. Overall: highly recommended.

Gepflegtes Ambiente mit ausgezeichnetem Service. Die überschaubare Abendkarte, die leider wohl nur selten wechselt, enthält lediglich ein Wildgericht und eine Wildconsommé. Dafür alle verzehrten Hauptgerichte hervorragend zubereitet. Dafür die Palatschinke ohne die nötige „Fluffigkeit“. Die Marmeladefüllung konnte man nur erahnen. Große Auswahl an Flaschenweinen.

Hervorragendes Lokal, mit schönem Ambiente und sehr zuvorkommenden Service. Wir waren zu viert auf einen netten Abend im Halali zu Gast. Vorneweg wählten wir jeweils eine Suppe oder Vorspeise und anschließend verschiedene Hauptgänge. Beide Gänge waren geschmacklich, von ausgezeichneter Qualität und das Essen wurde auf heißen Tellern serviert, was man nicht oft vorfindet. Der Service arbeitet sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend und fällt auch zu späterer Stunde, leistungstechnisch nicht ab. Wer dann auch noch gerne ein gepflegtes Augustiner trinkt, wird hier zusätzlich begeistert sein, weil das Bier in einer perfekten Temperatur und ebensolcher Optik serviert wird. Hier können selbst die besten Augustiner Wirtschaften der Stadt kaum mithalten. Fazit. Wer eine gehobene Küche, mit guten Essen und schöner Atmosphäre sucht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

What a wonderful restaurant! We went as Americans visiting Munich on the advice of native Munich friends. We found it delicious and delightful. The menu was seasonal—I had a lovely dinner featuring cepes and venison. My husband had the terrine and the Iberico pork—both excellent. The restaurant itself is located down a quiet street only a short walk from Odeonplatz and is cozy with wood paneling and a very friendly waitstaff.

Hervorragende Speisen auf Sterne Niveau. Der Service ist äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Preise sind angemessen. Im „Halali“ fühlt man sich wohl.

A perfect place. The Halali was known to me as a traditional - yet upscale - Bavarian restaurant with a hunting theme. Well, it moved upwards to fine dining & good wines. Service people and Sommelier are friendly and very competent. The atmosphere is rustic yet upscale. The location is quiet but central. And the food: awesome. Perfect little dishes, very well done and delivered, just the right size of portions, from a well assembled menu. Do not expect to be on the forefront of culinary development. This is still an upscale yet traditional place, and that, to be honest, can be so relaxing.

Ein Abend der Extraklasse. Beginnend vom herzlichen Empfang in einem wunderbaren Ambiente wie in einem Jagdschloss über den herausragenden und aufmerksamen Service und der äußerst guten Weinbegleitung durch die charmante Someliere bis hin zur Krönung durch das herausragende und fein abgestimmte Menü haben wir uns als kleine Gruppe unglaublich wohl gefühlt. Ein großes Lob an das außerordentlich freundliche und gut aufeinander eingespielte Team in Küche und Gastraum.

Top. Besser als manches Sternelokal, sehr freundlicher aber unaufdringlicher Service. Allerdings nicht ideal für Vegetarier (möglich, aber geringe Auswahl). Das Restaurant bietet zeitgemäß interpretierte klassische Gerichte auf hohem Niveau an.

Unauffälliges Restaurant mit rustikalem, angenehmen Ambiente mit sehr sehr guter Küche. Das Basilikumsorbet mit oder ohne Wodka-Aufguss ist ein Muss. Alle Gänge und die Weine waren sehr lecker. Wasser und Wein wurden immer unaufdringlich nachgeschenkt. Sehr Empfehlenswert.
