As always, an absolutely fantastic experience! We ordered takeout today: a garlic naan, an alu chana masala, a butter chicken, and, as a special highlight, the rice pudding made according to the chef's mother's recipe – simply divine! ❤️ The food was fresh, aromatic, and incredibly delicious – for us, the best Indian restaurant in all of Munich! The team is also super warm and friendly; you always feel welcome and in good hands. We'll definitely be back soon – thank you for this culinary experience! 🙏😊

Very good food. The spiciness level is listed as "European" instead of Indian, which avoids any problems in advance. I usually pick up my food, and I've had the "problem" a few times where I wasn't given a pickup number over the phone, and then I was insistently asked for it at the restaurant. Overall, though, I highly recommend it.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The food was outstanding – tastefully presented – and the ambiance was harmonious and inviting. We were particularly impressed by the chef's personal attention. He took his time with us, freshly prepared a dish (bhuna) according to our wishes, and even served us a homemade specialty for dessert. You rarely experience service like this. We'd love to come back!

There were three of us at the restaurant and we chose the Chicken Tikka Biryani, Kadai Chicken, and Lamb Korma. All the dishes were delicious. In my opinion, one of the best, if not THE best, Indian restaurants in Munich :)

I recently visited this Indian restaurant for the first time and I was absolutely thrilled! The owner was incredibly friendly, humorous, and took plenty of time to advise me on my meal selection. Instead of ordering the same old thing, I tried something new based on his recommendation – and it was fantastic! To top it all off, I even got a free dessert on the house. The service was consistently warm and attentive. You can tell the passion the people here put into their cooking and work is put into their work. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant!

Best halal food in Germany. Purely authentic Pakistani taste. Lamb karhai was off menu and exclusively cooked for us and really wonderful taste. Dum biryani was definitely one of the kind and best. Freshly cooked kheer made it even more wholesome. Best experience dining in here. All the staff is wonderful and very friendly Thank you Guru’s Team for such a wonderful time. On Sunday evening, we spontaneously dropped in for dinner without a reservation and were seated immediately. The food was delicious and obviously freshly prepared. The service was consistently friendly and attentive.

The Guru is a very cozy restaurant with a great selection of vegetarian dishes. The service was quick and courteous. Our dog was also allowed and found it very comfortable under the bench.

From far the best indian restaurant we've done with my girlfriend. We've been there several times and you can order any meal and be sure you will love it. Everything is cooked to perfection with plenty of different flavours. All of that in an immersive indian atmosphere and welcoming staff. It is a must try !

Yesterday I came to the restaurant shortly before closing time and the cellar informed me that the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. My wife wasn't there yet and I had the waiter recommend a suitable dish based on my wife's wishes. The recommendation was a culinary hit; we got food very quickly. We were the last guests, but despite the fact that they wanted to close until the last moment, we were served very friendly and I was allowed to take a bouquet of the beautiful table roses with me for my wife. A wonderful ending, thank you very much

Absolutely recommended – a culinary highlight! We ate at Restaurant Guru today and I was absolutely thrilled! The food was simply great – full of flavor, freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. The service was attentive, friendly and very professional. You feel welcome from the first moment. The cleanliness also deserves high praise - everything looks very well maintained and tidy. The ambience is wonderful – stylish, cozy and designed with great attention to detail.

We stopped by without a reservation 30 minutes before lunch and tried our luck. We received an extremely friendly welcome and were assigned a table. First we received an explanation and good recommendations, which were tailored exactly to our wishes. The food was really awesome and had the right mix of spices. All in all a successful stay and we will definitely be back. 10/10!!!!

It was our first and definitely not last visit to the Guru! A great Indian restaurant with very tasty food. Fresh ingredients, diverse dishes and interesting spices. A culinary delight. Very friendly and attentive staff and the boss is a great host and person. We can highly recommend the restaurant.

Pretty good food. Setup is also quite fun. We just had to wait a long time to be served because the waiters prefer to deal with female guests 😉

My family and I have been regular guests since it opened. The cuisine is simply always excellent. Vegetarian as well as meat and fish dishes taste excellent. My personal favorite are the shrimp dishes with masala and, more recently, with sweet and sour sauce, as well as the vegetarian dishes. Insider tip: The Firni dessert based on an old family recipe. Also the lunch table e.g. B. For business lunch with perfectly seasoned soup is highly recommended. We have already tested many Indian restaurants in Munich and while traveling, GURU is and remains our No.1. Thanks to the great team around Mr. Hussein and Mr. Kumar for their hospitality and consistently high quality of food and drinks.

Nice friendly atmosphere, good food, balanced menu, plenty of vegetarian dishes. There were four of us today and we enjoyed all four dishes (butter chicken, mango chicken, mango duck and vegatable korma) very much. At the end there was a taste of the house. We'd love to come back

We haven't been to the guru for a while. He's smarter now. However, the portions have become smaller and the prices have risen significantly.

The Guru is an absolute highlight for all fans of Indian cuisine! As soon as you enter you are warmly welcomed and immediately feel at home. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish – perfect for a relaxed evening. The food was simply fantastic: authentic, full of flavor and prepared with a lot of love. I can particularly recommend the butter chicken and the fresh garlic naan – a dream! The vegetarian dishes were also incredibly aromatic and varied. The service was attentive, friendly and very accommodating - you can tell that there is real passion behind it. Price-performance is absolutely right. I'll definitely be back! We've been going here with family for years and have never been disappointed! The food is always really tasty – fresh, spicy and simply original Indian. You can just tell that people cook with passion here. But what makes the whole thing special: the atmosphere! Super familiar, you immediately feel at home. Boss Hussein is simply a person with a heart – totally warm and always in a good mood. Every time you visit you feel like you're coming home. For us, this is definitely our favorite restaurant in Munich – absolute recommendation! 🙌🍛

Awesome biryani and great service! Flavors were amazing, even Paneer Biryani as a great option for vegetarian!! The Matka biryani is not to be missed, flavors, texture and spice levels were a12/10. Friendly service, made us feel welcome and like at home. Definitely worth the drive across the town to get to Trudering Haar . Wish they had a branch in Munich north as well !!

My colleague had dinner here and we had very good food and time. The food, service and ambience was very good. Our host Mr Shahid is very good person and recommended best dishes as per our taste and preference. We will a come again when we visit Munich again.

We were just thrown out on Friday nights. As soon as we entered it said that all tables were reserved, even though it was empty. Then we were given a table for 1 hour and then we were constantly asked if we were ready yet. The main thing is that they can close the shop early. Simply embarrassing.

Good food, was very friendly staff. They stayed open more than 1 hour longer for that we reserved the whole restaurant. Recommend for sure!!!

Honestly one of the best places I’ve ever had Indian food. The service was amazing. We were there with a group of 75 people. We received the food super quick. It was delicious. We arrived later then expected but nobody of the service people complained one bit. The atmosphere was great aswell. Really recommend this restaurant! Also when you are with a group

This used to be a very good Indian restaurant. There seems to be a new cast on it. The three sauces with the lentil bread were only two and didn't taste like anything. Same with the naan. The scampi as a starter was in a crumbly dough and also tasteless. The two different crispy duck dishes tasted like “nothing” and not a trace of crispy. It's a shame to pay 80 euros for it.

Really amazing food with just nice seasoning. It was not too overpowering but at the same time not too little flavour. We had the chilli garlic naan, paneer pakora, chicken tikka salat and the dum briyani lamb. Would be back again soon!!

Came by late on a Monday evening just before closing time as they were still open according to Google, the two employees were very friendly and told me that they could give me something to take away as they were just finishing work, I said and did I treated myself to a very tasty Lamb Rogan Josh and went on my way. While we waited we had a nice conversation and we also got a mango lassi on the house. Price performance was right and there was nothing to complain about in terms of quality. Definitely worth a visit, the restaurant itself looked quite spacious.

Visit on December 25th, family dinner on Christmas Day with 9 people. All family members have already been to many Indian restaurants in Munich. We agreed: the quality of the food in the Guru (mixed starter plates; starter dishes from the weekly menu; main courses (lamb, tandoori - chicken, vegetarian) was excellent: homemade sauces - no usual super-creamy cream sauces, high quality of the ingredients. Very tasty Naan variants (incredibly delicious sweet naan!). Drinks (including chai, mangolassi, non-alcoholic cocktails). delicious. Service very friendly and accommodating. We will happily come back, despite having to drive through the whole city (from Laim). Comments that have no impact on the rating: Parking: on the street, directly 10 meters in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is not barrier-free (toilet in the basement, stairs with sturdy railings).

This was my first meal in Germany, and I could hardly contain my excitement. The owner enthusiastically recommended we try their holiday specials: the duck and an exquisite deer dish. Oh my goodness, the deer was unbelievably tender and juicy—every bite was perfection! And let's not forget about the duck smothered in a mouthwatering peanut sauce; it was simply divine! With such an amazing first meal in Germany, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone in search of friendly service and unforgettable food!

We ordered a lunch menu with soup and once with Paneer Butter Masala and Chicken Vindalo. The chicken masala was very authentic and the spiciness was just right 🌶️🌶️🌶️ The paneer was homemade and so perfect. The soup 1a. We also had naan bread twice and it was very fresh and perfect. The portions are also very good. This is finally an Indian restaurant where everything is perfect, quality food, cleanliness, friendliness, everything is perfect.

This restaurant tastes really good and the portions of meat are generous. But one day we ordered a lamb curry that gave us all food poisoning. We had incessant vomiting and severe stomach pain. The food may not have been fresh or may have been contaminated with harmful bacteria. We probably won't go to this restaurant again in the future.
