Verry good food i went there on sunday and i had chicken tikka masala and karahi paneer and butter nan i want to say if you want best veg dishes in munich you can visit daawat they give verry good seevice and the staff are also verry polite and friendly overall 5/5

Just ordered for the first time. They forgot one of the two naan, but it was delivered later. Food was great.

Update: Unfortunately, things have changed here too. The food has become more expensive, while the quality has declined significantly. Last time we were really disappointed. The food was reheated and watery, the meat rock hard and obviously not fresh. What a shame, it used to be our favorite Indian restaurant… Super delicious food, very finely seasoned, at absolutely fair prices. Plus, pleasant and attentive service. Top-notch!

The lamb dish was absolutely delicious. The food here is excellent and fresh! The price-performance ratio is definitely right. The naan bread with cheese was also delicious.

A truly wonderful Indian restaurant near Scheidenplatz! The atmosphere is warm and inviting; you immediately feel welcome. Even the crisp appetizer with various dips was a great start. I was particularly impressed by the baked cheese served on aromatic, hot fennel – a combination that was authentic, surprising, and absolutely delicious. The service was also very attentive and courteous. The prices are perfectly reasonable for the quality you receive. A definite recommendation if you're in Munich and craving good, authentic Indian cuisine.

Very tasty, although not exactly cheap!

We ordered, but unfortunately, the food wasn't what we expected. The sauce was too thin and the naan bread was cold and soggy. What a pity.

After being satisfied with an order at Daawat, we wanted to try the restaurant in person. The staff is friendly and attentive, the prices are moderate. The decor is fine, and the tables are fairly close together. Unfortunately, sitting between the entrance and the kitchen didn't make it all that comfortable – other spots are probably better, but can't be included in this review. But what sets Daawat apart from the various other Indian restaurants in the area? The food, of course! Two things are very noticeably different. 1. The dishes are prepared with significantly less ghee, butter, nut butter, and cream than at other Indian restaurants we know in the area. So, the food is a bit lighter without being any less spicy. We like that. We particularly enjoyed the fish from the tandoor (Machi Tikka) and various vegetarian/vegan dishes. 2. There are a few street food dishes that you can't find everywhere. We haven't tried all of them yet, but it's simply a nice change. We highly recommend a visit, as the food tastes even better when served fresh.

Unfortunately, our visit was a huge disappointment. The food was not good – neither in terms of taste nor quality. When we asked the waiter about it, he simply said "yes," turned around, and walked away. No question, no interest, no apology – we were completely ignored. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable in the restaurant industry. We felt like they neither care about the satisfaction of their guests nor want to address any criticism. We will definitely not be returning and unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

If you are in Munich and want to try real authentic Indian taste and style food, Try this restaurant. Their dishes ranges from Veg to Non Veg , startes to Main course to deserts and Indian drinks. All the dishes are at affordable prices. Definetly recommended.

We ordered chiken tikka and achari kumbh kebab(mushroom). The taste was okay but the chiken tikka came with just 3 pieces(photo) which was disappointing. We also had the palak soup and veg biryani. Taste was good and quantity was okay. Value for money.

I was looking for authentic Indian food in Munich and came across this restaurant. This restaurant really have authentic Indian food. From starters to Main course to Deserts/ Drinks, veg or non veg. You say it they have it. On top of that their hospitality is great. It brings cherry on top. Good quality at affordable price. Definitely recommended.

More like 4.5 stars for me. The service was very friendly, the wait time was short, and the garden was relaxing. While the vegetable balls were rather average, we found the tandoori to be really good!

Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We tried the Tandoori Chicken and Dal Makhani and loved them. We'll definitely be back!

There was a large selection, but unfortunately, the food we ordered wasn't that good. The meat dish wasn't cooked all the way through.

Well, the beer was lackluster, the waiter was grumpy, and the chana masala looked and tasted like it had been reheated for weeks.

Delicious cuisine, a rather classic menu with many standard dishes, but they are happy to accommodate requests 🌶️🌶️🌶️ The interior is typical of Indian restaurants in Germany, but not uncomfortable. There is also a lunch menu. Tip: The Jeera Aloo (fried potatoes with cumin) is truly delicious!

The mixed starter was pretty bland, a bit spicy in places, but that was it. The vegetarian main course (vegetable balls with cheese in a tomato and almond cream sauce) tasted mostly of coconut milk, which was still tasty but not what I was expecting, and the naan wasn't particularly fluffy. Everything was okay—tasty, but not 4.6 stars for me :)

The food was rather average. The duck from the lunch menu tasted like chicken and was totally dry. In my opinion the offer has nothing to do with Indian food.

Unfortunately, my friend was repeatedly harassed by staff member Singh despite repeatedly ignoring him. This happened particularly outrageously after I had just left the restaurant at lunchtime!

I was allround surprised about the quality and the great waiting staff. Excellent prices. I wish I was around in this area more often so I could come visit Daawat more often :D I especially recommend the Butter chicken, it has a special flavor.

A very tasty meal. Plenty of hot rice at the table and delicious Indian spices were well received. I had chicken with champions and very tasty sauce. Friendly waiters asked that everything was ok at the table.

It’s very rare to find such a good indian restaurant with such good prices these days. I can’t speak about the whole menu, as we usually eat Shahi Paneer and Butter chicken/Tikka Masala, but those dishes are very delicious here. The staff is very kind, service is fast and the atmosphere is lovely - you can find a free table last minute.

The food was good overall. The naan bread was tasty, but not the best I've ever eaten. The mango chicken had an intense mango flavor, perhaps a little too strong for my taste, but still good . The butter chicken was excellent and definitely worth recommending. The service was friendly and attentive – overall a pleasant experience!

Nice evening with delicious food

I find the food there extremely delicious. There are a lot of Indians, but everything tastes really good here. I often pick something up and find the price/performance ratio for Munich to be very good. We have also eaten there several times. It's decorated quite nicely, but I wouldn't go there now because of the furnishings. The service is often just like Indians usually are... anyone who has been to India knows what I mean. But everyone is trying hard and friendly. Can definitely recommend it.

Had dinner at Daawat last night The place is nicely decorated, none of them were very friendly and accommodating, but the food was a complete disappointment. We had duck and lamb, the side dishes were very tasty, but the duck meat was dry and tough, and you couldn't cut the lamb with a knife dry, tough and fibrous It was like the sole of a shoe maybe we were unlucky.

A welcoming restaurant with friendly service and affordable, tasty food. The Seekh Kebab and Lamb Mango (Mutton Mango) were excellent, with the Lamb Mango being a mild option for those avoiding spice. The Gulab Jamun and Kokos Lassi were perfect complements to the meal

Lamm Masala and DAAWAT Biryani are both delicious, with a lot of tender meat and plenty of spices. They are better than what I have eaten in India! I think this is the best Indian food I have eaten in Germany so far, highly recommended! However, the portion is a bit on the small side, not sure if it’s because of the NeoTaste discount. The service is very attentive, it would be perfect if the service staff could smile more.

Everything is clear to the operator himself. For the ambience you can give yourself 4 stars depending on what you are expecting. But since the rooms are in a small, old building, there isn't much in terms of interior space. The beer garden will definitely pull it off. But I didn't see it or be able to use it because it was cold and in the evening so we were inside. Otherwise, the online options for ordering and reserving everything from tables to personal service and prices are highly recommended. The food was particularly delicious. A little dream. You should make a reservation in the evening. It was fully occupied on a Tuesday during the week. Rightly so. A great restaurant! Any time!

I went for dinner on a weekday evening and ordered paneer tikka masala and garlic naan. They also gave rice along with the main dish. Food tasted good, however couldnot finish all. I asked the waiter to pack the leftover food, he played cleverly and didnot packed complete rice. He put paneer tikka in a box and in the little space left he put rice which i think was less than even half of what was left. I immediately got to know how so much food can come in such a small box but I didnot said anything to him. Please note -dont think customer is fool, may be I will hardly go there again.

The food was delicious, prices were good, drinks were cheap. Only the portion was a bit small. We were there for dinner and there were only a few pieces of meat, but plenty of sauce. Even with a lot of rice as a side dish, we weren't completely full; there could have been 2-3 more pieces of meat.
