Very rude and unfriendly service, so didn’t stay. Stood like lemons for 10 minutes waiting to be seated at one of the empty tables. When my wife checked we’d not been forgotten, she was told she needed to learn some patience. Not a nice experience.

Two of us went there. The tapas were really very good. Since I'm often in Barcelona, I can compare them well. The service was also great, and you can tell there are quite a few regulars there. This speaks volumes about the good quality. Highly recommended! Reservations are definitely a good idea; we were lucky that a table happened to be available.

All in all, a very good tapas restaurant in the center of Garmisch. The food is truly delicious, and the service is attentive, friendly, and prompt. Large selection of wines from different regions and price ranges. There are some outdoor seating options, and the interior is very cozy, especially in winter. The restaurant isn't exactly cheap, but you get truly excellent quality for your money, and as we all know, quality can sometimes cost a bit more. In any case, we always enjoy coming here 👍🏼

We ordered the octopus and the Tapas for 2. The house wine was a little too sweet for us, and so the server recommended an alternate that was perfect!

Six of us went to the old printing shop and enjoyed delicious tapas, delicious salads, and a great main course (grilled calamari)! We also had a good wine and a local beer for the boys. The staff was super friendly, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere! We had a lovely evening and would love to come back!

We had a pleasant evening at the Alte Druckerei (Old Printing House), visiting this tapas restaurant as a group of four. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, which made the evening immediately enjoyable. We opted for various tapas combinations and a paella per couple. Overall, the food was tasty, and the selection offered something for everyone. The paella was delicious, and the various tapas complemented the main course well. One small disappointment was the mini squid, which I felt weren't frozen and tasted a bit tough. Nevertheless, this was only a minor blemish on an otherwise successful evening. We all left the restaurant well-fed and satisfied. Overall, it was a lovely evening that I would happily recommend!

It doesn't have much to do with the tapas served here. The taste is not anywhere near the level of a good Spanish restaurant. The tables are placed far too close together. It's pointless to have a conversation because the table next to you can hear everything without any effort. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable. Price performance is zero here. There was a couple sitting at the next table who confirmed this statement. Things seemed to have been better here before, they said. But since the new owner has arrived, that would no longer be the case. They wanted to try it again that evening, but that was probably the last visit for this couple. Price performance doesn't fit. Unfortunately, there is no authentic Spanish cuisine. We were there on Easter Monday. We're not from the area. We were just in Garmisch for a vacation. The couple at the table next door seems to be from the area.

A real highlight in Garmisch!!! We had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant and loved it. The cuisine is absolutely top notch - every dish was prepared with attention to detail and was impressive both in terms of taste and appearance. There is also an excellent selection of wines that round off every visit. The host is just great. Friendly, attentive and with a real passion for his guests. Super freundliches Personal. Ein hervorragend süffiger Hauswein, die Vorspeisenplatte war schon mega, aber das anschließende Essen war dann einfach zum dahinschmelzen. Auf den Punkt gebratenes Fleisch extrem lecker im Gescmack. Der Salat war sehr gut angemacht und die Parmesanflocken haben super dazu gepasst. Selten war ich so angenehm begeistert, wie nach diesem Lokalbesuch. Alle Daumen hoch von mir.

Service and ambience is top. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the meal because my steak wasn't good. Tapas were ok. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether the price-performance ratio is right. Unfortunately not for me.

Das Restaurant ist in einem alten Druckereigebäude untergebracht und hat eine sehr gemütliche und stilvolle Einrichtung. Es ist der perfekte Ort für ein romantisches Date, ein Familienessen oder einen gemütlichen Abend mit Freunden. Das Essen ist frisch zubereitet und von hoher Qualität. Die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl an klassischen spanischen Tapas und gegrillten Steaks. Ich habe die Gambas al Ajillo und das Vitello Tonate mit gepickeltem Kürbis probiert und war von beiden Gerichten absolut begeistert. Der Pumpkin Pie ist sagenhaft! Sollte man aktuell aufjedenfall probieren!!! Das Team der Alten Druckerei ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Leider ist das Restaurant nicht barrierefrei, da es früher eine alte Druckerei war. Dies ist jedoch der einzige Nachteil, den ich gefunden habe. Insgesamt kann ich das Restaurant Garmisch Alte Druckerei wärmstens empfehlen. Es ist ein großartiges Restaurant mit einem tollen Ambiente, gutem Essen und freundlichem Service.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Garmisch Alte Druckerei restaurant in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and was impressed by the atmosphere, the food and the service. The restaurant is housed in an old printing house and has a very cozy and stylish interior. It is the perfect place for a romantic date, a family dinner or a cozy evening with friends. The food is freshly prepared and of high quality. The menu offers a wide selection of classic Spanish tapas and grilled steaks. I tried the Gambas al Ajillo and the Vitello Tonate with pickled pumpkin and absolutely loved both dishes. The pumpkin pie is amazing! You should definitely try it now!!! The Alte Druckerei team is very courteous and friendly. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. Unfortunately the restaurant is not barrier-free as it used to be an old printing press. However, this is the only downside I found. Overall, I can highly recommend the Garmisch Alte Druckerei restaurant. It's a great restaurant with a great ambience, good food and friendly service.

Modern restaurant serving tapas and plated meals. Price performance is balanced. Drinks are varied...from wine to beer to cocktails. Of course there are also non-alcoholic drinks.

A must on every visit to Garmisch Partenkirchen. Although the restaurant is known for its selection of tapas, steak lovers will also get their money's worth. A good selection of wines completes the good picture. The service was first class and the employees actively looked after their guests. We always enjoy coming back

Good service, we went there for dinner and spent 70€ for 2 people. We ordered in total 5-6 tapas and they all came in very small portion (and each tapas cost around 8€-15€) for example the pork belly roast you get maybe 6 pcs of thumb size pork.. and the shrimp you get 3pcs and the rest are tomatoes.. we ended up getting something elsewhere after the dinner because the we were simply not full. Food was decent but please expect you need at least 5 tapas each person in order to get full.

The outdoor area is very comfortable and the service is very accommodating. The paella tasted good and is inexpensive. However, it is a “German paella”. In my opinion the aroma is better in Spain. Next time we'll try the tappas platter for 2 people. However, 9 euros for a glass of wine is quite steep. When the weather was nice, everything outside was full. So be sure to reserve. It was empty inside. But it is also well-kept and comfortable.

We went with the hope of eating Spanish tapas, but they only use Spanish to name some dishes on the menu. One or another Spanish wine is available. We ordered Pan con Tomate (Pan Tumaca) and they gave us a slice of bread with a gigantic peeled tomato on top. Karlos Arguiñano would die of a heart attack. Not to mention the Adrià brothers. But if you want to eat well, be well served, and enjoy a super pleasant atmosphere, the restaurant is very good.

The combination of stylish interior and cozy atmosphere makes “Die alte Druckerei” a perfect place for a relaxing evening. The service staff are very nice, courteous and always on hand without seeming intrusive. As a guest you always feel well looked after and valued. The food is simply outstanding. Lucas and his kitchen team do great things and conjure up dishes that not only taste good but also look good. Of particular note were the pork belly and the tartare, both of which were perfectly cooked. The doneness of the steaks was also spot on. Given the quality of the food, the excellent service and the great atmosphere, the price-performance ratio is absolutely justified. You really get something for your money here. We will be back definitely.

Es ist schwierig, in diesem ehemals renommierten Ferienort Garmisch heute ein schönes und gutes Restaurant zu finden. Dennoch gibt es eine herausragende Ausnahme - eben diese Tapas Bar. Sehr schönes Ambiente von gleichbleibender, sehr guter Qualität und Angebot, freundlicher Service mit einem erfahrenen und allseits beliebten Wirt!
