Delicious food, rustic yet pleasant ambiance. Located right at the entrance to the old town. Nice shop!

I haven't had such good Swabian food in a long time. The spaetzle, among other things, are sensational. And the friendly service – perfect, keep it up.

The roast beef with onions was good, but the sauce wasn't quite as good, and that's precisely what makes the dish so delicious. The schnitzels and salads were good, the service was friendly, and the location was rustic. Old murals can be seen behind glass on the back wall.

We had veal schnitzel, pork schnitzel, and a small salad each. Everything was delicious, arrived quickly, and the portions were generous. The price was really fair, and the service was very friendly. A 10/10 all around.

We only had a drink, but the Aperol and wine were delicious and it was nice to sit outside :)

My boyfriend and I finally arrived back in Germany after a three-week van trip through Italy. We wanted to enjoy typical German cuisine during our stopover in Konstanz and stumbled upon this wonderful, cozy restaurant by chance. The food was incredibly delicious, and there was a great selection, so everyone was sure to find something they liked. The atmosphere was very small and cozy, and we immediately felt at home. The service was also super friendly and accommodating. All in all, it was fantastic; the 5 stars are more than deserved. We would come back again and again!

In a restaurant, you should expect a Wiener Schnitzel to be fried in a pan with plenty of butter, not in a deep fryer! The breading was also tough and the meat dry! This way of preparing this traditional dish says everything about the quality of this "restaurant." I will never set foot in this establishment again.

In three we took a Wiener schnitzel and the mix of meat for 2 persons. Everything was really good, the meat was tender and it was a good mix with different types of cut and type of meat. The housemade dressing of the salad was very taste as well.

We had an incredible lunch at Restaurant Dischinger yesterday and couldn’t recommend it more. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was outstanding, and convenient parking was just steps away. Portions were huge—we definitely could’ve shared! Thanks again for a fantastic experience. So glad we stumbled upon this spot!

Ordered the Steak and Chips and the Fish with Potatoes. The steak came well done (requested rare), the fish, vegtables had far too much salt on it. This was returned for a second attempt. The Chef does not know how to cook steak, nor does he know how much salt to put on the food. We did get a second round of drinks for free. Thanks The nail in the coffin for us was the waitress said " I dont have any change" so we where forced to over pay. NEVER EVER GO THERE!

We each had a portion of roast beef with onions and spaetzle. Unfortunately, the sauce and spaetzle weren't traditional and obviously not homemade. The meat wasn't particularly good either. The sauce made us burp, and we didn't feel well afterward. Although we were offered a 30% discount, we were very disappointed overall and would definitely not recommend eating there.

The food was okay, but when I tried to pay, I was told that only cash payments were accepted, not card payments. There were four of us dining together; who carries that much cash with these restaurant prices? It wouldn't have been so unfortunate if we'd been told beforehand that card payments weren't possible. When I asked where the nearest savings bank was, I was told it was at the train station, but across the street is a Volksbank. The staff didn't understand the high fees. The staff were truly unaccommodating or customer-oriented; I wouldn't recommend it!

Terrible service. Our main course simply never arrived after waiting over an hour. When asked, the staff had no idea what we ordered.

Only take cash or revolut. No credit card or contactless. Food is average. Service is slow.

We were vacationing on Lake Constance over Pentecost and discovered this restaurant during our visit to Konstanz. Luckily, we called ahead and made a reservation, as many guests were left without a seat. The restaurant is a real insider tip, a bit off the beaten track, but within easy walking distance of the harbor. The service was very friendly, attentive, and quick. The food was simply excellent. Unfortunately, the outdoor area is right next to a main road, which somewhat detracts from the ambiance. It was too chilly for us to sit outside anyway, so it didn't bother us too much. This is the only minor drawback, but it doesn't detract from the overall experience in any way. If you're visiting Konstanz and want to eat well, you should definitely make a reservation here, as seating is limited. We highly recommend the restaurant and would return anytime.

We were here for dinner. The schnitzel portion, in particular, was large. We had no complaints about the food. The restaurant is rather rustic. The prices are a bit higher, reflecting the portion size. Cash only. The service was friendly.

Unfortunately, it's become a tourist-friendly, mass-market food 😔 It would be better to have quality instead of quantity.. What a shame. Consistency is also suffering, and many restaurants are now just poor.

Very, very good veal schnitzel and Jögerschnitzel were served :) The portions were very generous, both the schnitzel and the respective side dish.

I celebrated my birthday there on May 10, 2025, with 14 people. All my wishes were fulfilled as discussed, which was absolutely fantastic. The food, like the fresh salad, was all freshly prepared and delicious. It tasted amazing, and the service was very attentive and friendly; I highly recommend it. We will be back in the future. You can't please some people at all... but they always have something to complain about, and if something doesn't quite work out, we'll be back again with such a great atmosphere. Dani

The whole meal, well not recommended. Salad without dressing didn't taste good at all and the meat was dry and burnt.

This restaurant is not recommended. Schnitzel Viennese style for 21.00 euros out of the deep fryer and extremely dry and overcooked. Maultaschen for 15.00 euros from the discount store are terribly bad.

One drawback: In my opinion, I can't recommend the antipasti plates (they mostly consist of sliced ​​cheese and salami from the bulk pack). I was a little disappointed here.

The service is just plain bad. The salad is tarnished, not fresh and drowned in the sauce. We canceled the main course and left the restaurant after the partial payment. Once and never again.

We came for a schnitzel in the afternoon and were very satisfied! The only downside was that it was far too much. Half the meat portion would have been more than enough for the average person, as the plate was enormous. We brought this up with the staff, as there were people next to us who couldn't finish theirs. A better system would be to bring one schnitzel and tell them that if they're still hungry, they can order a second one for free. That way, much less would have been thrown away, and we could have started our afternoon in Konstanz feeling less full and more satisfied.

I was looking for some authentic german cuisine in the area and certainly found some. The food was excellent, however the wait times and the service in general were poor. We asked to take some leftovers home, but it was forgotten and thrown out! Interior is nice and traditional. This place has potential, just needs a bit of work

Apart from the fact that the restaurant is unfortunately a bit cold (at least in winter), it is really recommended! The service is very friendly and the food is really excellent! I can only recommend giving the restaurant a chance!

Today at lunchtime in the “Dischinger” in Konstanz: Onion roast with spaetzle, fried onions and salad: Super tasty and the portions are huge (had to have it packed). Very friendly and courteous service: Everything was great and highly recommended :)!

Very nice place with friendly service. Unfortunately, they pour this cheesy balsamic cream over too many dishes. It somewhat ruins the decent food. The coffee quality was also disappointing. The tiramisu was also nothing special. It was still a nice lunch in a great atmosphere.

Warmly decorated. On December 30th, during a two-hour stay, "I'm driving home for Christmas," etc., in the small restaurant is a matter of taste. The food was good. During busy times, the entrance door is used a lot, so it was rather cold in the restaurant. The meat platter for two people was very good. But even there, the meat got cold quickly. A plate warmer for the large meat platter might be a solution. Plates remained on the table for a long time before being cleared. No one asked about dessert or coffee.

The spaetzli were much, much too salty. You only felt the salt in your mouth. The toilet was so dirty and I wonder what the kitchen looks like. Floor from above also very very dirty. I had never experienced this before: As a guest asking questions, you are shouted at in the most unfriendly tone on the phone just because you asked for a table. Two minutes later another gentleman calls me and explains very nicely that there is no table. Very strange. Online booking system helps when you are overwhelmed.

Never eaten so good... Onion roast and Wienerschnitzel are highly recommended.

Unfortunately we won't be visiting again. We were there as a group of 10+. When ordering, Cordon Bleus and a Jägerschnitzel were ordered. We only got the Cordon Bleu and when we pointed out that a Jägerschnitzel was missing, we were rudely told that one of the Cordon Bleu was the Jägerschnitzel. After a short discussion, including with the gentleman who originally took the order, they realized that something was really missing. The taste of the food was okay if you like breading more than schnitzel. It was possible to pay with a card, which is good. One of us wanted to pay in cash, but the gentleman had no change (10ct) left and, after rolling his eyes and shaking his head, he had earned an involuntary tip. Relatively narrow and therefore a bit noisy when the store is full. Conclusion: Better to avoid it if you want to avoid the headache.

We ate at Dischinger on Good Friday 2023. The pike perch was ok, the potato too. What was really bad was the mixed salad. The lettuce was completely silted up (no, it wasn't lamb's lettuce...). After complaining, we received new lettuce that was just as unwashed. No apology, nothing. The store won't see us again.

The onion roast with spaetzle and the rump steak with Café de Paris were really delicious. Beautifully presented and great portions. The service on Saturday evening seemed a bit slow but overall very good. Relatively small location, it may be worth making a reservation. The toilets are a bit old, but this can also be desired and you have to like it

Were there spontaneously! As a day trip from St.Gallen! The food was great and the service also gave us a table even though it was really full. Thanks again for that. We had 3 different light main courses with no problem at all. Can only give 5 stars.

Nice place. The food was good so far, but there was little sauce on the dishes. Personally, I think over €10 for a children's portion of spaetzle with cream sauce is too expensive.

We had a absolutely delicious meal recently while visiting Konstanz in Dischinger. We hadn't made a reservation but we were warmly welcomed in, a table found and food ordered. We didn't catch the name of the person serving but he was great, advised on a few questions we had, all with a lovely smile. The food was fab to boot! Would easily recommend...

We chose this restaurant based on positive reviews and were excited about our experience. The service was friendly, but you could tell that she was relatively inexperienced or was just new to the team. We both ordered the beef fillet with fries and extra vegetables, and the food was really tasty and well prepared. However, the salad served with it was rather disappointing: it seemed limp, was drowned in a sauce that was far too heavy and the taste left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, the service seemed noticeably overwhelmed. We weren't even asked for dessert or coffee. It might have been helpful if the male part of the wait staff had offered her a little more support instead of smoking outside. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and is in a great location. However, you should not rest on your laurels but should really strive to ensure the satisfaction of paying guests. We hope that the team works on the points mentioned, because the potential is definitely there.

Loved the 14th century mural which I studied closely and my Jaegaer Schnitzel with noodles and a salad was perfectly cooked. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his sizzling pork fillet too. Just the one waiter who was helpful and friendly despite the heat.

Because of the good reviews, we were looking forward to the food. Great atmosphere, also cozy inside. The owner has shown good taste! When the lettuce came, we first had to sort out all the heavily brown leaves. We're not picky, but before a salad goes out, it should be checked for freshness. We ordered zander fillet and calamari, when ordering the waiter told us that the menu was incorrect and that boiled potatoes were included with both dishes instead of another side dish. However, as you can see, what came was not boiled potatoes, but dry, unseasoned and hard potato wedges. It's a shame - a place with a lot of potential, but there are too many rookie mistakes. The guests were not informed until the bill that no EC card would be accepted due to a system error.

A famous restaurant to try German classics. We tried schnitzel which was decent. It was also served with a salad. The schnitzel with mushroom sauce was quite creamy, but nothing special.

This is a German home-style restaurant with a long history. 🪴🏠🌿 Is there a reason why old places exist?!?! All the food was not salty✨️ and it was really, really delicious. Great food. As tourists from France we were amazed by the quality of the food. Two good Jägerschnitzels. There was also quite a lot on the plate + a plate of salad as a side dish. We recommend this address.
