Nice restaurant on the edge of the old town with regional cuisine. Nice service, rustic - very simple atmosphere. Price/performance ok. There is something on the menu for every taste. One drawback: In my opinion, I can't recommend the antipasti plates (they mostly consist of sliced ​​cheese and salami from the bulk pack). I was a little disappointed here.

Warmly furnished. On December 30th again during a 2 hour stay "I'm driving home for Christmas" etc. in the small restaurant is a matter of taste. Food was good. Unfortunately the fries were pretty cold. The food was generally served lukewarm. Cheese spaetzle, very tasty, but served cold, were warmed up again at our request. When there is a lot of activity, the front door is used a lot, so it was rather cold in the restaurant. Meat plate for 2 people was very good. Even then, the meat quickly got cold. A plate warmer for the large meat plate might be a suggested solution. Plates remained on the table for a long time until they were cleared away. Dessert and coffee were not asked for.

Excellent small local eatery. We had the Wiener schnitzel and beef goulash. Both were excellent and generously sized. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.

I had never experienced this before: As a guest asking questions, you are shouted at in the most unfriendly tone on the phone just because you asked for a table. Two minutes later another gentleman calls me and explains very nicely that there is no table. Very strange. Online booking system helps when you are overwhelmed.

Unfortunately we won't be visiting again. We were there as a group of 10+. When ordering, Cordon Bleus and a Jägerschnitzel were ordered. We only got the Cordon Bleu and when we pointed out that a Jägerschnitzel was missing, we were rudely told that one of the Cordon Bleu was the Jägerschnitzel. After a short discussion, including with the gentleman who originally took the order, they realized that something was really missing. The taste of the food was okay if you like breading more than schnitzel. It was possible to pay with a card, which is good. One of us wanted to pay in cash, but the gentleman had no change (10ct) left and, after rolling his eyes and shaking his head, he had earned an involuntary tip. Relatively narrow and therefore a bit noisy when the store is full. Conclusion: Better to avoid it if you want to avoid the headache.

The onion roast with spaetzle and the rump steak with Café de Paris were really delicious. Beautifully presented and great portions. The service on Saturday evening seemed a bit slow but overall very good. Relatively small location, it may be worth making a reservation. The toilets are a bit old, but this can also be desired and you have to like it

We ate at Dischinger on Good Friday 2023. The pike perch was ok, the potato too. What was really bad was the mixed salad. The lettuce was completely silted up (no, it wasn't lamb's lettuce...). After complaining, we received new lettuce that was just as unwashed. No apology, nothing. The store won't see us again.

Were there spontaneously! As a day trip from St.Gallen! The food was great and the service also gave us a table even though it was really full. Thanks again for that. We had 3 different light main courses with no problem at all. Can only give 5 stars.

Nice place. The food was good so far, but there was little sauce on the dishes. Personally, I think over €10 for a children's portion of spaetzle with cream sauce is too expensive.

We had a absolutely delicious meal recently while visiting Konstanz in Dischinger. We hadn't made a reservation but we were warmly welcomed in, a table found and food ordered. We didn't catch the name of the person serving but he was great, advised on a few questions we had, all with a lovely smile. The food was fab to boot! Would easily recommend...

We chose this restaurant based on positive reviews and were excited about our experience. The service was friendly, but you could tell that she was relatively inexperienced or was just new to the team. We both ordered the beef fillet with fries and extra vegetables, and the food was really tasty and well prepared. However, the salad served with it was rather disappointing: it seemed limp, was drowned in a sauce that was far too heavy and the taste left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, the service seemed noticeably overwhelmed. We weren't even asked for dessert or coffee. It might have been helpful if the male part of the wait staff had offered her a little more support instead of smoking outside. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and is in a great location. However, you should not rest on your laurels but should really strive to ensure the satisfaction of paying guests. We hope that the team works on the points mentioned, because the potential is definitely there.

Loved the 14th century mural which I studied closely and my Jaegaer Schnitzel with noodles and a salad was perfectly cooked. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his sizzling pork fillet too. Just the one waiter who was helpful and friendly despite the heat.

Because of the good reviews, we were looking forward to the food. Great atmosphere, also cozy inside. The owner has shown good taste! When the lettuce came, we first had to sort out all the heavily brown leaves. We're not picky, but before a salad goes out, it should be checked for freshness. We ordered zander fillet and calamari, when ordering the waiter told us that the menu was incorrect and that boiled potatoes were included with both dishes instead of another side dish. However, as you can see, what came was not boiled potatoes, but dry, unseasoned and hard potato wedges. It's a shame - a place with a lot of potential, but there are too many rookie mistakes. The guests were not informed until the bill that no EC card would be accepted due to a system error.

A famous restaurant to try German classics. We tried schnitzel which was decent. It was also served with a salad. The schnitzel with mushroom sauce was quite creamy, but nothing special.

This is a German home-style restaurant with a long history. 🪴🏠🌿 Is there a reason why old places exist?!?! All the food was not salty✨️ and it was really, really delicious. The restaurant opens at 5:30 p.m. When we arrived at 5:40 p.m. there was no one in the restaurant. The waitress was still vacuuming in the background. Apparently I lost track of time. When we were seated at the table she was very friendly. Ambiance was good. My meal (fillet on a hot stone) was very tasty! Unfortunately my friend's cordonbleue wasn't through. It was replaced without discussion. Unfortunately this meant we had to eat separately. But the second Cordonbleue was great! Generous portions!! I think we were just a bit unlucky.

We had to grind our teeth quite a bit on two side salads. And what, unfortunately, should no longer be done these days. Drown the good, fresh salad in a yoghurt dressing from the bottle (ready-made product). Whether due to the dressing or additional additions, the salad was extremely salty. By chance we heard the same criticism from the next table (two older women from Switzerland). I had cheese spaetzle: that could be better. Visually well presented, unfortunately taste boring. The spaetzle, I suspect, is not homemade. In principle it's not bad, but there are better quality purchased spaetzle in the catering sector. And Käsespätzle thrives on a spicy, flavorful cheese. Please don't use boring Emmental cheese for this. There was also a cordon bleu with fries. The fries were good and fried according to the product. The Cordon Bleu, yes...very rectangular and lightly fried. The cheese inside flowed out when cut and suggested it was hot. He wasn't. We suspect the use of processed cheese here and in combination with a neutral ham, the Cordon Bleu simply lacked flavor. We were there for lunch and had goulash with bread dumplings. The goulash was OK, not outstanding, The bread dumplings probably came from a ready-made package, they were small, very firm and very dry. (my own bread dumplings, on the other hand, are a delight...) Unfortunately, it no longer has the same quality as its predecessor. The service was very friendly, accommodating and tried very hard. The lunch menu was just under €15.00 With a large salad and dessert.

Went to Dischinger a lot with the previous landlord and wanted to test the new operators as best we could, of course, with a neutral attitude. Unfortunately, the cream schnitzel is no longer natural but breaded. The meat was pounded very thin and consisted of an equal amount of breading. For my taste, the food in general could have been seasoned more. Salad dressing isn't bad, but it reminded me of a dressing from the delivery service. Unfortunately, spaetzle is no longer homemade. Added to this is the extreme surcharge when changing supplements (emphasis on extreme) The staff tried to be friendly, but unfortunately they couldn't handle criticism well. This was about fries that I had ordered particularly crispy, but unfortunately they weren't and I had asked for new ones, which unfortunately weren't really any crispier. We were full and we could eat it, but unfortunately it is no longer as enjoyable as before.

Obwohl wir schon länger in Konstanz wohnen haben wir es erst jetzt zum ersten Mal ins Dischinger geschafft, somit entfällt bei uns der Vergleich zum Vorgänger. Das Dischinger ist ein kleines Restaurant mit gutem Service und guter Küche zu normalen (Konstanzer) Preisen. Das Cordon Bleu sah optisch (Form) zwar etwas ungewöhnlich aus hat, aber geschmeckt und auch meine Käsespätzle gehören sicher zu den besseren in Konstanz. Ebenso wie der gute Vorspeisensalat. Folglich: Weiterempfehlung.

Realmente muito gostoso !!! A carne estava bem macia com um molho de café de Paris delicioso!!!!!!!!!!! E a batata frita bem crocante. Sem falar que a salada que eles oferecem tem um molho muuuito delicioso. Eu sou muito chata pra comida e realmente amei !! Meu esposo pediu käsespätzle e eu provei, está simplesmente muito bom !!!!

I recently dined at this restaurant during my trip in South Germany, and I must say that my experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, I was initially seated at a two-person table despite traveling alone. However, the situation took a turn when a local family with a toddler arrived. I was asked to move to a less desirable table by a member of staff ( I avoid mentioning individual identity) who seemed somewhat discriminatory throughout my visit. I agreed to the move, understanding that families may have specific needs, although I didn't expect to be charged for my initial drink which the family wanted to pay for. I declined the family's offer to pay for my drink, as I believe it's the restaurant's responsibility to manage seating arrangements professionally. The ensuing argument with the staff, who not only unprofessionally argued with me but also took out €6 in cash during the dispute, left me feeling humiliated. To make matters worse, the staff scolded a new employee in German in front of my table, which I couldn't understand. When I inquired about the situation, I was told it was a training moment for the new staff. Throughout the meal, I found that every time I tried to signal for service, the staff responded impatiently with "one moment," which became quite frustrating. Suffice to say, I am unpleasantly surprised by the poor quality of service.

The food was excellent. Service can be improved. We were a family of 5 and they simply forgot about my order. It's not fun eating alone after everybody else finished.

Sehr kleines Restaurant, freundliches Personal. Essen kam auch relativ zügig. Hatte Schnitzel mit Rahmsauce und einen kleinen Salat. Am Salat waren kleine dunklere stellen, leider ein kleine Schnecke und ich hatte auch auf einen ganz kleines Steinchen gebissen. Rahmsauce mit frischen Pilzen, Schnitzel waren zufriedenstellend, an denn Pommes hätte mehr Salz dran gekonnt.

Wir hatten das Jägerschnitzel und die Medaillons, jeweils mit Spätzle. Diese waren gebraten, zum Teil verbrannt. Das Essen im ganzen war geschmacklich okay..Ambiente war sehr gemütlich. Entsprach im ganzen nicht unseren Vorstellungen. Bedienung freundliich, Schade für so ein tolles Lokal. Vielleicht würden wir eventuell noch eine zweite Chance geben. Dann aber kritischer mit Reklamation bei Wiederholung

Wir sind sonntags um kurz nach 20 Uhr ins Lokal gekommen, ohne Reservierung. Deshalb gab es nur drinnen freie Tische. Super nette Bedienungen und sehr leckeres Essen. Preis/Leistung passt absolut.
