Restaurant Dischinger in Konstanz

Wir sind heute Abend zu viert da gewesen und haben vorgängig reserviert. Auf den Hauptgang haben wir 75 Minuten gewartet. Die Käsespätzle kamen zuerst ohne Käse und Zwiebeln, dann mit viel Rahm und wenig Käse. Der Fisch wurde wider Erwarten frittiert. Nie wieder!

Sehr urig, gemütlich und richtig gut! Das Restaurant wurde uns empfohlen und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Eine sehr übersichtliche Karte, super Portionen und preislich absolut im Rahmen. Leckere deutsche Küche, sollte man probiert haben. Vielen Dank, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Ich hatte Lust auf traditionelle deutsche Küche und habe das perfekte Restaurant gefunden. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen hat mir hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Portionen sind recht groß, das sollte man bedenken, wenn man nicht so viel isst.

Mehrere Gerichte von der recht überschaubaren Karte waren nicht vorhanden, Allergenwünsche wurden einfach ignoriert und der Preis von den Salat-Gerichten ist keineswegs gerechtfertigt. Würde mich wundern, wenn das Lokal in der Form noch lange Bestand hat.

Kindermenü Schnitzel & Kartoffel – ABSOLUT EMPFEHLENSWERT! Ich bin Asiatin und habe im Vergleich zu Deutschen einen eher kleinen Magen, aber die Hälfte des Kindermenüs hat mich satt gemacht 🥰 Es hat super geschmeckt und die Ofenkartoffel war so lecker!! Ich muss unbedingt wissen, womit sie die gewürzt haben 🤤 Man kann Mayonnaise dazu bestellen und die Bedienung ist total freundlich und hilfsbereit 🌸 An unsere Bedienung: Vielen Dank, dass Sie unsere Wünsche auf Englisch erfüllt und so freundlich waren 🫶🏻 Tipp: Reservieren Sie unbedingt, um einen Tisch zu bekommen! Wir kamen nach der Abendessenszeit und hatten Glück, sofort einen Tisch zu bekommen.

Essen ist sehr lecker, frisch und Gute Portionen für den Preis. Es ist schön klein, so lässt es sich gut unterhalten. Der Sanitärbereich brauchte mal einen frischen wird. Ist technisch alles deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Unsere Bedienung war sehr freundlich und besonders Sympathisch.

Wir waren heute im Restaurant Dischinger essen. Aufgrund der guten Google Bewertungen haben wir uns für das Restaurant entschieden. Leider waren wir vom Essen wirklich sehr enttäuscht. Wir wollten anstelle von Pommes zur Beilage Bratkartoffeln bestellen, was trotz der angegebenen Beilagen auf der Karte nicht möglich war. Die Kalbsschnitzel waren leider extrem zäh und knorpelig. Zudem waren die Pommes, die als Beilage serviert wurden, kalt.

Wir hatten die Antipasti-Platte für 2 Personen bestellt, auf der Karte standen verschiedene Käsesorten, Salami und Salat. Serviert wurde jedoch lediglich Mozzarellastücke, eine Sorte Scheibenkäse sowie Mortadella- und Hinterschinkenscheiben, dazu etwas Tomate, Gurke und sehr einfache Oliven, die billigsten Supermarkt-Oliven. Das entsprach leider nicht der Beschreibung auf der Karte und auch nicht dem, was man unter einer Antipasti-Platte mit verschiedenen Käsesorten erwartet. Die Menge war zwar in Ordnung, qualitativ und von der Auswahl her jedoch sehr enttäuschend. Nachdem wir die Platte reklamiert haben und bezahlen wollten, reagierte die Bedienung freundlich und hat sie uns nicht berechnet, was wir fair fanden. Trotzdem sollte die Beschreibung auf der Karte besser zur tatsächlichen Zusammenstellung passen. Die Hauptspeisen können wir nicht beurteilen, da wir gegangen sind. Sehr schade für eine traditionelle Küche.

Bedienung sehr Sympathisch und das Essen ist es auf jeden Fall wert hinzugehen. Komme gerne wieder, wenn es geht.

Wir waren gestern Abend spontan in dieser Traditionsgaststätte in Konstanz und haben nach einem kurzen Anruf erfreulicherweise noch einen Tisch für zwei Personen bekommen – dafür schon einmal vielen Dank. Das Ambiente hat uns sehr gut gefallen: ein eher kleiner, gemütlicher Gastraum mit viel historischem Charme, kombiniert mit modernen Stühlen und Tischen. Insgesamt sehr stimmig und genau die Atmosphäre, die man sich in einer klassischen Gaststätte wünscht. Der Service war freundlich und bemüht. Allerdings hatten wir stellenweise den Eindruck, dass es an Produktkenntnis fehlte – zum Beispiel bei der Frage nach der Marke des alkoholfreien Weizenbiers, die leider nicht beantwortet werden konnte. Der Beilagensalat kam schnell, fiel jedoch sehr klein aus und wirkte mit einem eher industriellen Dressing für den Preis nicht ganz angemessen. Als Hauptgericht hatten wir eine gemischte Fleischplatte für zwei Personen. Teile davon – insbesondere Filetstücke vom Rind, Kalb und Schwein – waren gut zubereitet. Das angekündigte Rumpsteak hingegen war sehr zäh und kaum genießbar. Auch an anderen Tischen schien es ähnliche Probleme zu geben. Nach unserer Reklamation bekamen wir zwar Ersatz, jedoch kein neues Rumpsteak. Hier hätten wir uns gewünscht, dass man – wenn ein Stück Fleisch qualitativ nicht passt – es lieber direkt von der Karte nimmt, statt mehrere Gäste enttäuscht zurückzulassen. Die Garnituren und Saucen wirkten zudem eher wie Convenience-Produkte, was nicht ganz zum sonst so traditionellen Anspruch des Hauses passt. Insgesamt haben wir rund 80 € bezahlt. Für die gebotene Qualität fanden wir das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis leider nicht stimmig. Sehr schade, denn Ambiente und Grundidee des Lokals haben eigentlich viel Potenzial. Vielleicht war es nur ein unglücklicher Abend – wir würden uns wünschen, dass hier vor allem in der Küchenqualität noch nachgebessert wird.

Wir kannten das Restaurant Dischinger von früher als sehr gutes traditionelles Lokal mit hervorragenden Essen und professionellen Service. Der gestrige Besuch war leider ein Desaster. Die junge Bedienung war zwar sehr freundlich und sichtbar bemüht, aber fachlich komplett überfordert. Der Rest: organisatorisches Chaos und mangelnde Hygiene. Eine flackernde Deckenlampe wurde trotz mehrfacher Hinweise ignoriert. Hinweise mehrerer Gäste auf verdreckte Toiletten ohne Toiletten- und Handpapier wurden zwar aufgenommen, aber im Laufe des Abends weder gereinigt noch behoben. Im Vorraum der Küche lag zudem ein stark verschmutzter Teppich – absolut unpassend und unhygienisch. Das Essen war der Tiefpunkt: Zwiebelrostbraten und Rumpsteak medium bestellt, als komplett durchgebratene Schuhsohle serviert – trocken, zäh, ungenießbar. Die Pommes waren in ranzigem Fett frittiert und zusätzlich noch mit Balsamico-Soße übergossen – so etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt. Der Salat kam ungeschnitten, völlig lieblos, weder angemacht noch vorbereitet. Beilagen tauschen gegen einen kleinen Salat war nicht möglich, deshalb bestellten wir den Salat gegen Aufpreis. Fazit: Einzig die bemühte Bedienung war positiv. Küche, Sauberkeit und Organisation sind in einem Zustand, der nichts mehr mit dem Dischinger von früher zu tun hat. Sehr schade. Zugute halten muss man dem Service, dass das Essen komplett storniert wurde.

Der Besitzer war sehr höflich, und das Essen war anders als in anderen Restaurants. Wenn Sie mal etwas anderes als geschmorte Schweinshaxe essen möchten, sollten Sie dieses Restaurant unbedingt ausprobieren. Die Weihnachtsdekoration war sehr gemütlich.

Das tierfreundliche Restaurant bietet hochwertige Fisch- und Fleischgerichte mit einer guten Weinauswahl und Beilagen. Die Weihnachtsdekoration (ein paar große Teddybären sitzen herum!) ist niedlich und gemütlich.

Perfektes Schnitzel, top service

Bezogen auf den Mittagstisch ist es für mich nicht nachvollziehbar, wieso man dort überhaupt noch einen Platz bekommt, geschweige mehrere. Dieses Restaurant gehört ganz klar zu den Top-Restaurants in Konstanz und ist mit ganz großem Abstand das beste bürgerliche Restaurant im Umkreis. Das schönste Ambiente (heute sogar sehr schön auf Weihnachten eingestimmt) und das beste Schnitzel, welches ich seit langer Zeit gegessen habe. Ich hoffe dieses Restaurant bleibt dieser Linie treu.

Ich konnte einige der Kommentare, die auf Unzufriedenheit mit dem Service hindeuteten, nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Wir wurden äußerst freundlich und professionell empfangen, und Kreditkartenzahlung war problemlos möglich. Das Essen selbst war reichlich und perfekt zubereitet (mein Zwiebelrostbraten war butterzart und die Soße köstlich). Und das alles zu einem recht fairen Preis, wenn man bedenkt, dass das Restaurant nur einen Steinwurf von der Altstadt entfernt liegt. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Sehr leckeres und preiswertes Essen aus der Region

Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Zeit, die Atmosphäre war wunderschön, warm und einladend, alles war sauber und der Service exzellent – ​​wir mussten nicht auf einen Tisch warten und das Essen kam nach 10–15 Minuten. Perfekt! Wir haben hervorragend gegessen, alles war perfekt zubereitet. Wenn ich wieder nach Konstanz komme, werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder hier essen gehen.

Gutes, traditionelles Essen, angenehmes Ambiente, ABER beim Bezahlen heißt es plötzlich, dass keine Kreditkarten akzeptiert werden. Kein Problem, man kann bar bezahlen, ABER die Kellnerin hat kein Wechselgeld (3,40 € für einen 50-€-Schein). Ich finde diese Art, Trinkgeld zu erzwingen, nicht in Ordnung.

Ausgezeichnete deutsche Küche auch mit internationalen Gerichten. Auch vegetarische Speisen sind erhältlich. Wir hatten ein riesiges Cordon Bleau mit sensationell dicker und schmackhaften Panade. Dazu gute Pommes, wir waren lecker pappsatt.

Der Kellner war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ein kleines, gemütliches Restaurant, in dem man gerne isst. Das Fleisch war perfekt zubereitet, medium rare und saftig – einfach köstlich! Die Pommes waren reichlich, aber es ist wirklich schade, dass Gemüse und andere Beilagen nur auf einem heißen Stein zubereitet werden.

I haven't had such good Swabian food in a long time. The spaetzle, among other things, are sensational. And the friendly service – perfect, keep it up.

The roast beef with onions was good, but the sauce wasn't quite as good, and that's precisely what makes the dish so delicious. The schnitzels and salads were good, the service was friendly, and the location was rustic. Old murals can be seen behind glass on the back wall.

We had veal schnitzel, pork schnitzel, and a small salad each. Everything was delicious, arrived quickly, and the portions were generous. The price was really fair, and the service was very friendly. A 10/10 all around.

We only had a drink, but the Aperol and wine were delicious and it was nice to sit outside :)

My boyfriend and I finally arrived back in Germany after a three-week van trip through Italy. We wanted to enjoy typical German cuisine during our stopover in Konstanz and stumbled upon this wonderful, cozy restaurant by chance. The food was incredibly delicious, and there was a great selection, so everyone was sure to find something they liked. The atmosphere was very small and cozy, and we immediately felt at home. The service was also super friendly and accommodating. All in all, it was fantastic; the 5 stars are more than deserved. We would come back again and again!

In a restaurant, you should expect a Wiener Schnitzel to be fried in a pan with plenty of butter, not in a deep fryer! The breading was also tough and the meat dry! This way of preparing this traditional dish says everything about the quality of this "restaurant." I will never set foot in this establishment again.

In three we took a Wiener schnitzel and the mix of meat for 2 persons. Everything was really good, the meat was tender and it was a good mix with different types of cut and type of meat. The housemade dressing of the salad was very taste as well.

We had an incredible lunch at Restaurant Dischinger yesterday and couldn’t recommend it more. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was outstanding, and convenient parking was just steps away. Portions were huge—we definitely could’ve shared! Thanks again for a fantastic experience. Ordered the Steak and Chips and the Fish with Potatoes. The steak came well done (requested rare), the fish, vegtables had far too much salt on it. This was returned for a second attempt. The Chef does not know how to cook steak, nor does he know how much salt to put on the food. We did get a second round of drinks for free. Thanks The nail in the coffin for us was the waitress said " I dont have any change" so we where forced to over pay. NEVER EVER GO THERE!

We each had a portion of roast beef with onions and spaetzle. Unfortunately, the sauce and spaetzle weren't traditional and obviously not homemade. The meat wasn't particularly good either. The sauce made us burp, and we didn't feel well afterward. Although we were offered a 30% discount, we were very disappointed overall and would definitely not recommend eating there.

The food was okay, but when I tried to pay, I was told that only cash payments were accepted, not card payments. There were four of us dining together; who carries that much cash with these restaurant prices? It wouldn't have been so unfortunate if we'd been told beforehand that card payments weren't possible. When I asked where the nearest savings bank was, I was told it was at the train station, but across the street is a Volksbank. The staff didn't understand the high fees. The staff were truly unaccommodating or customer-oriented; I wouldn't recommend it!

We were vacationing on Lake Constance over Pentecost and discovered this restaurant during our visit to Konstanz. Luckily, we called ahead and made a reservation, as many guests were left without a seat. The restaurant is a real insider tip, a bit off the beaten track, but within easy walking distance of the harbor. The service was very friendly, attentive, and quick. The food was simply excellent. Unfortunately, the outdoor area is right next to a main road, which somewhat detracts from the ambiance. It was too chilly for us to sit outside anyway, so it didn't bother us too much. This is the only minor drawback, but it doesn't detract from the overall experience in any way. If you're visiting Konstanz and want to eat well, you should definitely make a reservation here, as seating is limited. We highly recommend the restaurant and would return anytime.

We were here for dinner. The schnitzel portion, in particular, was large. We had no complaints about the food. The restaurant is rather rustic. The prices are a bit higher, reflecting the portion size. Cash only. The service was friendly.

Unfortunately, it's become a tourist-friendly, mass-market food 😔 It would be better to have quality instead of quantity.. What a shame. Consistency is also suffering, and many restaurants are now just poor.

I celebrated my birthday there on May 10, 2025, with 14 people. All my wishes were fulfilled as discussed, which was absolutely fantastic. The food, like the fresh salad, was all freshly prepared and delicious. It tasted amazing, and the service was very attentive and friendly; I highly recommend it. We will be back in the future. You can't please some people at all... but they always have something to complain about, and if something doesn't quite work out, we'll be back again with such a great atmosphere. Dani

The whole meal, well not recommended. Salad without dressing didn't taste good at all and the meat was dry and burnt.

This restaurant is not recommended. Schnitzel Viennese style for 21.00 euros out of the deep fryer and extremely dry and overcooked. Maultaschen for 15.00 euros from the discount store are terribly bad.

Delicious food, good service, pleasant atmosphere. For two hot dishes, a salad and 2 beers we paid 80 euros, including tip. I recommend it.

We came for a schnitzel in the afternoon and were very satisfied! The only downside was that it was far too much. Half the meat portion would have been more than enough for the average person, as the plate was enormous. We brought this up with the staff, as there were people next to us who couldn't finish theirs. A better system would be to bring one schnitzel and tell them that if they're still hungry, they can order a second one for free. That way, much less would have been thrown away, and we could have started our afternoon in Konstanz feeling less full and more satisfied.

I was looking for some authentic german cuisine in the area and certainly found some. The food was excellent, however the wait times and the service in general were poor. We asked to take some leftovers home, but it was forgotten and thrown out! Interior is nice and traditional. This place has potential, just needs a bit of work

Apart from the fact that the restaurant is unfortunately a bit cold (at least in winter), it is really recommended! The service is very friendly and the food is really excellent! I can only recommend giving the restaurant a chance!

Very nice place with friendly service. Unfortunately, they pour this cheesy balsamic cream over too many dishes. It somewhat ruins the decent food. The coffee quality was also disappointing. The tiramisu was also nothing special. It was still a nice lunch in a great atmosphere.

The spaetzli were much, much too salty. You only felt the salt in your mouth. The toilet was so dirty and I wonder what the kitchen looks like. Floor from above also very very dirty. I had never experienced this before: As a guest asking questions, you are shouted at in the most unfriendly tone on the phone just because you asked for a table. Two minutes later another gentleman calls me and explains very nicely that there is no table. Very strange. Online booking system helps when you are overwhelmed.

Unfortunately we won't be visiting again. We were there as a group of 10+. When ordering, Cordon Bleus and a Jägerschnitzel were ordered. We only got the Cordon Bleu and when we pointed out that a Jägerschnitzel was missing, we were rudely told that one of the Cordon Bleu was the Jägerschnitzel. After a short discussion, including with the gentleman who originally took the order, they realized that something was really missing. The taste of the food was okay if you like breading more than schnitzel. It was possible to pay with a card, which is good. One of us wanted to pay in cash, but the gentleman had no change (10ct) left and, after rolling his eyes and shaking his head, he had earned an involuntary tip. Relatively narrow and therefore a bit noisy when the store is full. Conclusion: Better to avoid it if you want to avoid the headache.

The service on Saturday evening seemed a bit slow but overall very good. Relatively small location, it may be worth making a reservation. We ate at Dischinger on Good Friday 2023. The pike perch was ok, the potato too. What was really bad was the mixed salad. The lettuce was completely silted up (no, it wasn't lamb's lettuce...). After complaining, we received new lettuce that was just as unwashed. No apology, nothing. The store won't see us again.
