Large selection of dishes, absolutely delicious, and extremely friendly service. Simply fantastic, highly recommended.

Amazingly good, My boyfriend and I spontaneously went to Carl's shortly after arriving in Warnemünde. The currywurst tasted really good, and you could tell it was high quality. You're used to much worse from a traditional snack bar. My boyfriend had the gratinated chicken breast and was also thrilled. Plus, the nice lady who served us was really lovely, so we immediately felt at home :)

A thoroughly enjoyable evening spent with friends! Carls impresses with its wonderful location in the second row and sunny outdoor seating. And, most importantly, the service is heartfelt, takes its time, and feels natural. The food was outstanding – freshly prepared and perfectly flavored. The fish dishes are particularly noteworthy. We felt welcome and well looked after. A restaurant that comes highly recommended – we will definitely be back!

Very tasty burgers, varied selection, good value for money

All in all a large, nice restaurant with good offers that are also placed on the street. When we ordered, we were only told afterwards that the duck dumplings were sold out. There were also no potatoes in the offer, but there are fried potatoes. That's surprising, but also misleading. I expect to find out what isn't available when I order, and not afterwards when I've already ordered drinks. Larger plates are also advisable. My delicious plaice was lying on the fried potatoes, which was not good to eat.

We were "just" there for ice cream and sat outside. The sundaes are very large and lovingly filled. 😃. And very tasty. Absolutely good value for money. Everything inside is beautifully set. You can definitely spend a lovely Italian evening here.

It's very crowded. A day ticket is hardly worth it, as you'll have to wait very long for the exciting rides. It's probably too loud for sensitive people. Because it's so crowded, it's difficult to get through with strollers or similar items. It's not wheelchair accessible, as there are stairs to access certain areas.

We went there twice. It was delicious. The service was simply excellent. If we're ever in Warnemünde again, we'll be happy to go back.

The Schnitzel is as amazing as Schnitzel can be.

Portions a bit too small for the money, tastes great

The food (plaice with fried potatoes) didn't impress me. It wasn't freshly prepared. It was like it had been warmed up in a microwave. I always look forward to plaice, but this one didn't impress me. What a shame!

The lunch menu was very tasty and plentiful. Friendly service and a clean atmosphere.

The fish was cooked to perfection and tasted very good. The sauce was a bit too acidic for my taste and could have been a bit more balanced. The mashed potatoes, however, were a real highlight. The service was consistently friendly and attentive. Overall, a pleasant meal with minimal drawbacks.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this place 😉 The food was very tasty and the portions were also large enough. I tried the coconut chili shrimp, a small mixed salad, baked potatoes, and the vegan meatballs. Very good 👍🏼 For dessert, I had panacotta with mango gel, also very delicious. I also got to eat my daughter's dessert, a crème brûlée, which was also strong 👌🏼 My drinks were Rostocker Dunkel and regular Rostocker Pils. For my wife, child, and me, it was about €82. Tip Top 🎩 I'll probably stop by again when I'm there. I'm attaching a current menu; the prices listed online aren't quite right. Many thanks also to the waitress, my dear 👍🏼

A culinary hit in Warnemünde! Carls Warnemünde impressed us across the board. The restaurant is stylishly decorated, with a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. The service was attentive, warm, and courteous – you can tell the passion that goes into the work here. The food was outstanding: fresh ingredients, creative preparation, and perfectly seasoned. The zander fillet was particularly recommended – simply divine! The dessert selection also leaves nothing to be desired. If you want to eat well in Warnemünde, you should definitely reserve a table here. Highly recommended!

The reservation worked. Friendly staff, fast service. One star deducted for the fried potatoes. I got the impression that they were purchased from the industry as a precursor and not freshly made on site, which is a shame, and unfortunately, the taste wasn't that great either.

Unfortunately no longer our favorite. I remembered this restaurant better. Not this time. Unfriendly service behind the counter. Food 1 the burger was great. Food 2 and 3: Asparagus. It's new to me that 3 sticks of asparagus make 250 gr.?? He was also very bite-proof. And priced high. That's better. In addition, the staff don't talk indoors about the peculiarities of the guests sitting outside. It doesn't work at all! Can't understand the good reviews.

Unfortunately the food was very average for the prices. The bruscetta was nicely prepared, taste was ok. We had 3 different burgers, all over 20 euros, with no kick or special taste. It's a shame, we can make it tastier at home. The fried herring was simple and too expensive. Expected much more when rating it. Maybe we picked the wrong rumors :)

I'm a frequent guest at Carl's and I'm usually satisfied and more!!! But today I caught a cook who had really let out his frustration....I asked that I would rather have fried potatoes (according to the menu) instead of fried potatoes, as I have often done before!!! The result was: fried potatoes, as is often the case, and instead of fried cod (2 small pieces - €25), boiled cod instead of fried, carelessly slapped onto the potatoes....the water was still dripping!!!! and also cucumber salad without seasoning. Too bad 😕 Since I have a lot of humor...so we ordered Irish coffee twice and it was great...and all was right with the world 👍 Thanks to the service and the chef a 5

There's plenty of card selection, but somehow there's nothing appealing. The service was polite, but the candles were not lit and the surcharge was mentioned as we walked past. So if you want a nice evening or want to enjoy a great time, you've come to the wrong place. The Rostocker also tastes watery. Radiant heaters were turned on when requested. Which is very positive. The attention to detail when it comes to food. Very nicely prepared and tasty. That wasn't to be expected. So if you want to try something different, then here

We made reservations in time to get two seats for lunch on Christmas Day. After making the reservation, we were reminded 3 times by message until December 25th, 2024 that we should not forget our reservation. We found that intrusive. The restaurant was packed on Christmas Day. The long tables reminded us a little of Oktoberfest. The dishes that we had previously selected on the menu were not available with the side dishes on the holiday. Instead, the price was increased by 3 euros and there was only cheap mashed potatoes. Unsuitable as a holiday meal and with this crowd it was a mass fare.

Deciding on just one dish was really not easy. In my opinion, the selection is great and there is something for everyone. The waiters were attentive but not intrusive. Gladly again!

We went to Carls one after the other with two groups (90 people each) on business, service was super friendly and fast, food was more than tasty, of very high quality and more than sufficient. Great value for money. Only recommended. We would be happy to come back.

Service staff very friendly and fast! The food looks good on the plate, but unfortunately everything that came to the table was not hot, but only lukewarm or almost cold! No matter whether it's seasoned meat, fried potatoes, steak au four or citizens with fries! Unfortunately that doesn't work at all It's a shame considering the prices! Once and never again!

Good morning, My birthday party on March 28, 2025 took place here. I came to this fine restaurant through word of mouth. Everything worked out right from the start, I felt like I was in good hands; the lunch buffet was delicious. The service was also attentive. We had my husband's burial at sea on March 29th. We planned the funeral service at Carl's. The two managers always answered my questions. We came to the restaurant and were greeted very friendly. We had a very nice room and everything was perfectly set. I chose the lunch table for the guests. The food was really good and was also confirmed by my guests. Wir hatten vorab einen Tisch reserviert, da wir nicht wussten, wie besucht das Restaurant ist und wir mit 11 Personen essen wollten. Schon von der telefonischen Reservierung waren wir sehr angetan. Im Restaurant angekommen wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt und zu unserem Tisch geführt. Er war im hinteren Bereich, was wir sehr begrüßten. Die Bestellung und das ganze Drumherum war einfach nur top, auch, dass zwischendurch nachgefragt wurde, ob alles in Ordnung ist und ob wir noch etwas bestellen möchte, kennt man nicht mehr wirklich aus der Gastronomie. Ein großes Lob an die Bedienung und den Koch, das Essen war echt lecker und für uns war es ein gelungener Abschluss unseres Aufenthaltes.

Four of us had dinner here after making a reservation, recommend the window seat on Mühlenstrasse! Very nice and courteous employees. We ate very well. Moderate prices for wine too. It was the third visit and definitely not the last.

Very good food. Dishes are charged by weight (in my opinion, upper price range for a self-service restaurant). Unfortunately, you get 2 points less for service. Tables not clean, please clean them again please. Unfortunately, the trays are very wobbly and it is almost impossible to put your tray down at the food counters without something tipping over. Despite the points, highly recommended.

So.......we've been to Warnemünde many times and most of the time we went to eat at the Alter Strom. Today we were in the "Center" at "Carls" and I have to tell you... I'm really annoyed that I wasn't there sooner. So.......totally nice restaurant, with absolutely very good and really nice staff and the food is really delicious. (price-performance) top. We can absolutely recommend it. THANK YOU FOR A NICE EVENING.

The restaurant was half full, but we still waited 45 minutes for a burger and a roulade that was way too small. The roulade, mashed potatoes and plate were just lukewarm, the burger was so raw that we had to give it back... Service inattentive and disinterested, no request for further drinks...

Food and drink cannot be assessed since we were there at 8:15 p.m. The cook is no longer there because they didn't have any guests after 7 p.m. Bar staff reported this to the guest in a very unfriendly manner.

We visited the Carls restaurant for the first time during our stay in Warnemünde. We reserved a table in advance, noting that a fearful dog would accompany us. We asked for a quiet place. When we arrived at the restaurant we received a very warm welcome, were assigned a quiet table and a water bowl was also available for our furry friend. In addition, Leo was even given a lambskin to lie down on. We were amazed by the care. The service left nothing to be desired for us either. The drinks were picked up and were on the table almost at the same moment, an extra request for the meal was implemented, the starter and our burgers were super tasty. And the service was extremely friendly. Everything was done right that evening. Thank you very much and we would be happy to be guests at Carls again on our next visit to Warnemünde.

Went there on january 29th, i realized later that they charged me 39EUR while I had said 30 and they threw a cocktail glass accidentally on my clothes without any compensation. They did not accept to bring us tap water. Not a nice evening. Food was ok but will never go back there. Robbery feeling.

Wir verbrachten Silvester in Warnemünde. Für den Silvesterabend suchten wir vorab online nach einem Restaurant.Die Speisekarte vom Carls hat uns gut gefallen also reservierten wir für den Abend. Dort angekommen bekamen wir eine Karte auf der es nur noch wenige Gerichte gab. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns erklärt das die Karte über Weihnachten und Silvester reduziert wird da es sonst nicht zu schaffen wäre. Was ich durchaus verstehen kann aber darüber wäre eine kurze Info schön gewesen online oder per Mail. Leider sagte uns von den Gerichten nichts wirklich zu also gingen wir wieder ohne etwas zu essen. Es gibt aber in Warnemünde noch ganz tolle Restaurants in die man ganz spontan hinein gehen kann mit super lecker essen und ganz freundlichen personal!

We were there for Christmas dinner with the family. You have to like full restaurants and the principle of throughput maximization to like it there at that time. You book a slot for 2 hours, the room is full and correspondingly loud. The service was very friendly and quick. The kitchen offered a reduced menu that said “vegetarian on request”. The host had asked in advance. As it turned out, you had to order this alternative in advance because the kitchen only offered prepared dishes due to the high throughput and was not flexible. That wasn't communicated; it could have been written on the card. So there was only one large, dry potato, a thimble of quark and plain vegetables for several people at the table. You swallow it for the sake of the mood. But we were still very annoyed about what you (didn't) deliver.

It was really great. The food 10/10 as well as the staff! We will definitely come back :)
