Finally found a restaurant where the staff still enjoyed their work. The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. It was a very pleasant evening. Thank you.

We always enjoy coming to Carls whenever we're in Warnemünde. So we were all the more pleased to get a table over the Christmas holidays. First, the positives: The service was very friendly and attentive. The pike-perch was cooked perfectly – tender and juicy, a real highlight. Our request to swap the wild rice for mashed potatoes was also easily accommodated. The appetizers (garlic bread and seasoned meat) were also delicious. Unfortunately, there were a few things that significantly dampened the evening. Instead of the regular menu (winter menu) linked in the restaurant's Google listing, we were given a heavily discounted Christmas menu with considerably higher prices. For example, the BBQ burger cost €19.20 on the winter menu but €27.50 on the Christmas menu. Even for us Berliners, that's a hard-to-understand increase. I can certainly understand offering a smaller menu at Christmas. What was lacking, however, was transparency – especially online. The surprise at our table was correspondingly great. And we clearly had the impression that we weren't the only ones: at the tables around us, people were openly discussing the reduced menu and the significantly increased prices; many guests seemed equally irritated and disappointed. We had actually planned to order the steak au four as our second main course, as offered on the online menu. However, due to the smaller Christmas menu, this wasn't possible, so we opted for the BBQ burger instead. This change alone dampened our anticipation and, to some extent, the entire experience. When we inquired about the menu, we were told it was a decision made by the owners. Fine. However, things became more disconcerting when we overheard other guests at a neighboring table suddenly receiving a different menu and being allowed to order dishes outside the Christmas menu. These were apparently being served from a restaurant across the street, which also belongs to Carls. As a guest, you unfortunately feel uncomfortable and untreated in such a situation – especially when you politely inquire and adhere to the guidelines. Regarding the BBQ burger itself: It was a classic burger with tomato, lettuce, onions, and meat. The BBQ sauce seemed very generic, and the flavor was nothing special. The cheese sauce, unfortunately, didn't improve or enhance the burger either. In summary, it was a mediocre, average burger that, at €27.50 (instead of €19.20 on the winter menu), fell far short of expectations. It's a real shame, because we really like the Carls restaurant. And ultimately, it's not about higher prices – for a pleasant evening with good food and service, you're happy to pay more at Christmas. However, experiencing inconsistent treatment of guests and a lack of transparency leaves a bitter taste. For now, we'll be giving Carls a short break.

We went to Warnemünde for a lovely dinner and made a great choice here 🙂 The service was super friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and served quickly. The price-performance ratio is perfectly fine 👍🙂 We'll gladly come back again soon 🙂

Highly recommended. We were surprised by the size and modern design. The schnitzel is huge and so delicious. We also had the arugula salad, which was equally delicious.

A cozy restaurant with traditional German cuisine. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced at between 9 and 11 euros, and the pasta with Gorgonzola and spinach was tasty, but unfortunately quite cold upon arrival.

Unfortunately, I didn't really like the pumpkin soup, so I gave it to my friend. Otherwise, the food was delicious. From 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., you can get lunch for 9.50 euros, which I think is a good price for a restaurant. We also liked the coffee.

One of the best restaurants in Warnemünde. A fantastic selection. No matter what we ordered, it was always delicious. Super friendly staff. There's a good reason we go there so often.

If it were up to me, I'd give zero stars. A waiter named Alex, also known as Ecci on Instagram, harasses women while they're eating or using the restroom, asking for their Instagram. If he runs into these women again in everyday life, they are harassed and he refuses to accept "no" for an answer. Absolutely disrespectful and appalling behavior from a waiter who is supposed to be serving me instead of being friendly.

We had a late lunch at Carls a few days ago. We were very satisfied. The food and dessert were delicious and beautifully presented. We have absolutely no complaints. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back. See you next time, and keep up the good work! 👍

My boyfriend and I spontaneously decided to come here shortly after arriving in Warnemünde. The atmosphere immediately appealed to us when we stood in front of the restaurant, so we went in without hesitation. The food was very good; there's definitely something for everyone. We spent a week in Warnemünde and stayed at Carls four times with a group of eight people. We had been there two years ago and had such fond memories. This time, too, it was simply fantastic. Such great service with such lovely people, great with children and great with our dog. The food is also very, very delicious. Whenever we're in Warnemünde again, we'll be back!

The restaurant is visually appealing, and the staff was friendly. It was off-season and not busy. I had one of Carl's Chicken Burgers. I won't do that again. It was fast food at restaurant prices. Small, salty, and not particularly visually appealing.

I stumbled upon this place by chance and received a very warm welcome. It's one of the few restaurants with a vegan dish on the menu, as well as various vegetarian options and, of course, fish and meat. It was incredibly delicious, very pleasant, and the dessert was also really good.

We visited Carl's Restaurant today and were completely thrilled. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and our seating preferences were taken into account – immediately creating a pleasant atmosphere. The appetizer was shrimp in coconut chili sauce, accompanied by a robber's plate – actually meant as a joke, but delivered with a smile. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, the sauce delicately balanced and aromatic. The main courses were also impressive: The pasta with pesto was cooked to perfection, the pesto fresh and balanced. The homemade sauerbraten with fried potatoes and salad was of excellent quality and prepared with noticeable care. You can tell that the food here is cooked to high standards. Everything seemed fresh, well-thought-out, and made with attention to detail. The service was attentive, competent, and warm. A stroke of luck – Carl's Restaurant is a definite recommendation and a place we would gladly visit again.

We had a decent lunch at Carls Restaurant on a Sunday. It is one of the few restaurants providing VEGAN dishes on their menu, which we appreciated a lot. We had the vegan burger, which was quite tasty but a bit small, considering the price. The vegan Meatballs and rice where good, but could’ve been a bit more seasoned and perhaps added some additional veggies, like broccoli or carrots! All in all a good stop for a vegan friendly lunch!

TOP value for money There were five of us at lunch today, with five different dishes: Nos. 1, 4, 5, and two others. All served at the same time, despite varying cooking times, and everything was delicious. The service was very, very good, so the tip was more than deserved.

We've been guests at Carls for years and were all the more delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate our wedding there. It was an absolutely perfect day. Amazingly good, My boyfriend and I spontaneously went to Carl's shortly after arriving in Warnemünde. The currywurst tasted really good, and you could tell it was high quality. You're used to much worse from a traditional snack bar. My boyfriend had the gratinated chicken breast and was also thrilled. Plus, the nice lady who served us was really lovely, so we immediately felt at home :)

Very tasty burgers, varied selection, good value for money

All in all a large, nice restaurant with good offers that are also placed on the street. When we ordered, we were only told afterwards that the duck dumplings were sold out. There were also no potatoes in the offer, but there are fried potatoes. That's surprising, but also misleading. I expect to find out what isn't available when I order, and not afterwards when I've already ordered drinks. Larger plates are also advisable. My delicious plaice was lying on the fried potatoes, which was not good to eat.

We were "just" there for ice cream and sat outside. The sundaes are very large and lovingly filled. 😃. And very tasty. Absolutely good value for money. Everything inside is beautifully set. You can definitely spend a lovely Italian evening here.

It's very crowded. A day ticket is hardly worth it, as you'll have to wait very long for the exciting rides. It's probably too loud for sensitive people. Because it's so crowded, it's difficult to get through with strollers or similar items. It's not wheelchair accessible, as there are stairs to access certain areas.

We went there twice. It was delicious. The service was simply excellent. If we're ever in Warnemünde again, we'll be happy to go back.

The fish was cooked to perfection and tasted very good. The sauce was a bit too acidic for my taste and could have been a bit more balanced. The mashed potatoes, however, were a real highlight. The service was consistently friendly and attentive. Overall, a pleasant meal with minimal drawbacks.

We recently visited Carls Restaurant in Warnemünde and were thrilled! Great location, friendly service, good food with fresh ingredients, and a fantastic menu. Highly recommended!

I can wholeheartedly recommend this place 😉 The food was very tasty and the portions were also large enough. I tried the coconut chili shrimp, a small mixed salad, baked potatoes, and the vegan meatballs. Very good 👍🏼 For dessert, I had panacotta with mango gel, also very delicious. I also got to eat my daughter's dessert, a crème brûlée, which was also strong 👌🏼 My drinks were Rostocker Dunkel and regular Rostocker Pils. For my wife, child, and me, it was about €82. Tip Top 🎩 I'll probably stop by again when I'm there. I'm attaching a current menu; the prices listed online aren't quite right. Many thanks also to the waitress, my dear 👍🏼

A culinary hit in Warnemünde! Carls Warnemünde impressed us across the board. The restaurant is stylishly decorated, with a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. The service was attentive, warm, and courteous – you can tell the passion that goes into the work here. The food was outstanding: fresh ingredients, creative preparation, and perfectly seasoned. The zander fillet was particularly recommended – simply divine! The dessert selection also leaves nothing to be desired. If you want to eat well in Warnemünde, you should definitely reserve a table here. Highly recommended!

The reservation worked. Friendly staff, fast service. One star deducted for the fried potatoes. I got the impression that they were purchased from the industry as a precursor and not freshly made on site, which is a shame, and unfortunately, the taste wasn't that great either.

Unfortunately no longer our favorite. I remembered this restaurant better. Not this time. Unfriendly service behind the counter. Food 1 the burger was great. Food 2 and 3: Asparagus. It's new to me that 3 sticks of asparagus make 250 gr.?? He was also very bite-proof. And priced high. That's better. In addition, the staff don't talk indoors about the peculiarities of the guests sitting outside. It doesn't work at all! Can't understand the good reviews.

Unfortunately the food was very average for the prices. The bruscetta was nicely prepared, taste was ok. We had 3 different burgers, all over 20 euros, with no kick or special taste. It's a shame, we can make it tastier at home. The fried herring was simple and too expensive. Expected much more when rating it. Maybe we picked the wrong rumors :)

I'm a frequent guest at Carl's and I'm usually satisfied and more!!! But today I caught a cook who had really let out his frustration....I asked that I would rather have fried potatoes (according to the menu) instead of fried potatoes, as I have often done before!!! The result was: fried potatoes, as is often the case, and instead of fried cod (2 small pieces - €25), boiled cod instead of fried, carelessly slapped onto the potatoes....the water was still dripping!!!! and also cucumber salad without seasoning. Too bad 😕 Since I have a lot of humor...so we ordered Irish coffee twice and it was great...and all was right with the world 👍 Thanks to the service and the chef a 5

Rarely have we eaten so well, the staff are all super nice, the price is completely OK.

There's plenty of card selection, but somehow there's nothing appealing. The service was polite, but the candles were not lit and the surcharge was mentioned as we walked past. So if you want a nice evening or want to enjoy a great time, you've come to the wrong place. The Rostocker also tastes watery. Radiant heaters were turned on when requested. Which is very positive. The attention to detail when it comes to food. Very nicely prepared and tasty. That wasn't to be expected. So if you want to try something different, then here

We made reservations in time to get two seats for lunch on Christmas Day. After making the reservation, we were reminded 3 times by message until December 25th, 2024 that we should not forget our reservation. We found that intrusive. The restaurant was packed on Christmas Day. The long tables reminded us a little of Oktoberfest. The dishes that we had previously selected on the menu were not available with the side dishes on the holiday. Instead, the price was increased by 3 euros and there was only cheap mashed potatoes. Unsuitable as a holiday meal and with this crowd it was a mass fare.

Deciding on just one dish was really not easy. In my opinion, the selection is great and there is something for everyone. The waiters were attentive but not intrusive. Gladly again!

Service staff very friendly and fast! The food looks good on the plate, but unfortunately everything that came to the table was not hot, but only lukewarm or almost cold! No matter whether it's seasoned meat, fried potatoes, steak au four or citizens with fries! Unfortunately that doesn't work at all It's a shame considering the prices! Once and never again!

Good morning, My birthday party on March 28, 2025 took place here. I came to this fine restaurant through word of mouth. Everything worked out right from the start, I felt like I was in good hands; the lunch buffet was delicious. The service was also attentive. We had my husband's burial at sea on March 29th. We planned the funeral service at Carl's. The two managers always answered my questions. We came to the restaurant and were greeted very friendly. We had a very nice room and everything was perfectly set. I chose the lunch table for the guests. The food was really good and was also confirmed by my guests.
