Hotel Godewind in Rostock

We booked the New Year's Eve package for 6 days in a two-room apartment. We have absolutely nothing negative to say. The staff deserves special mention. Everyone was very friendly and always ready to help. Our apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The food (breakfast and a three-course dinner) was always excellent. Almost every day, the meals we enjoyed were little works of art. I'll upload some pictures. The New Year's Eve gala dinner was also fantastic. Thank you again to the team.

The hotel impressed with its well-maintained and clean rooms, as well as an attractive spa area with a swimming pool, steam room, and sauna. The staff were consistently very friendly. Overall, it was a pleasant and satisfying stay. Highly recommended.

A lovely little hotel with several apartments, one of which we stayed in. We and our dog felt very comfortable. The apartment was tidy, spacious, and well-equipped. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and the seating area was pleasant. I would have liked a bit more of a spa area – there's only a small sauna, a small steam room, and a small pool. These are only open for a few hours in the late afternoon. The location is good; you're close to the long sandy beach and can quickly reach Warnemünde by bus or ferry.

Beautiful hotel with very, very friendly staff. From the very first minute, you feel like you're on vacation. The food in the restaurant is very good, and you can end the day pleasantly at the bar. The sauna and pool were good and not overcrowded.

The hotel is okay. For a 4-star hotel, many things are quite worn (bathroom, room doors, chairs in the room with loose armrests). The service staff is very friendly and hard-working! The parking situation is a disaster! After two days, the car's bumper was slashed. This is unacceptable. The hotel staff stays out of it. Truly unpleasant and inappropriate for a 4-star hotel.

I had booked a room. Several days before arrival, I tried repeatedly to cancel the room without any response from the hotel. This was the worst service I've experienced in many years.

Yes, if you want peace and quiet. Spa and wellness facilities available. A bit pricey. Within walking distance to the beach. The hotel also has apartments, which are very suitable for dogs.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay – with heart and taste My daughter and I spent a weekend at the Hotel Godewind in Markgrafenheide – and we felt very comfortable. The breakfast was truly a delight: varied, fresh, and prepared with great attention to detail. We also loved dinner in the restaurant – highly recommended! I also particularly liked the bar with its selection of non-alcoholic cocktails – something you don't always find everywhere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Not overly luxurious, but just the right amount of comfort. A real highlight was the staff: consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The young man at the reception desk particularly impressed us with his positive attitude and willingness to serve – a big compliment for that! In summary: A hotel with atmosphere, good food, and a team that puts their heart into their work. We'd love to come back!

The hotel is very good. The apartment's furnishings could use some updating. The over €400 for two nights isn't justified. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and stocked with everything your heart desires.

I can't say anything about the hotel rooms, as we rented a vacation apartment. These are located behind the hotel and have their own free parking spaces. The apartment was adequate for the three of us, with a small hallway, bathroom (without a window), bedroom with a double bed, and a living room with an integrated kitchenette. Since we were on the ground floor, we had a terrace, which we were able to use thanks to the good weather. The apartment was clean and equipped with everything you need. For the price (3 nights for about €700 including breakfast), I would have expected something more modern. The shower isn't suitable for older people or people with disabilities, as it has a high entry. The beds were comfortable for us, and according to my son, the sofa bed was comfortable. If you use it, you don't have a sofa, as folding it up isn't that quick. The breakfast was delicious, and there was something for everyone, so starting the day full and satisfied was no problem 😉. Dinner must be pre-ordered by noon. The staff was always friendly and accommodating and fulfilled all our requests and answered our questions.

A place away from the city center, but where you can enjoy a pleasant stay. A 10-minute walk from the beach and a couple of minutes from the bus stop. It has a super professional and friendly staff who will try to serve you as best as possible.

Overall a nice hotel with a nice atmosphere. The room was clean and quiet, but a bit cramped. The distance between the bed and the window is rather unreasonable for older people or people with disabilities. The shower is also not an invitation to a relaxed shower for corpulent people or those with long arms. The mattresses were very soft and therefore uncomfortable. Although there are separate mattresses, you can feel every movement of the person sitting next to you. Unfortunately, not a relaxing and restful sleep for a longer stay. The service was good and the staff friendly. The breakfast buffet was also good and sufficient. Traveling with luggage without a car is very “sporty” if you rely on public transport. We don't think the price/performance ratio is good compared to other hotels we have already visited.

Price-performance ratio doesn't fit, unsuitable as a spa hotel. Pool too cold, sauna only from 4 p.m., massages not possible. Dinner only for arrangement guests. Elevator broken, heating cold for 2 days. A little attention or a price reduction as compensation would have been appropriate.

A small, cute hotel in Markgrafenheide, about 10 minutes from the sea, invites you to relax and linger. Both the apartment and the double rooms are superbly equipped. The breakfast is rich and very tasty. In general the cuisine is delicious. We had booked an arrangement which included everything from a fruit basket in the room to a welcome champagne. The wellness area is sufficient to switch off and do a few laps in the pool. There are games for younger guests in the lobby. Wishes are implemented immediately by the very friendly staff. In the evening you can hear the sound of the sea. We really like it here.

Very clean room and comfortable beds. Top. The staff is very friendly and very attentive without seeming fake. The breakfast is great. Vegetarian selection is also good. The only thing missing was alternative milk, but I didn't ask either. My mistake! The hotel is cozy and quiet. The dogs are warmly welcomed. In short: definitely recommended!

It's a quiet hotel away from the beach. We had booked the “2 cozy days” package with a room in the basement, which was small, clean and sufficient for a weekend stay. The breakfast and the 3-course menu on the second evening were very tasty and the service in the restaurant was very good. We were not satisfied with the service from the reception. When we arrived, we were abruptly informed that the check-in time was 3 p.m., even though we had already checked in online in advance. The spa cards, which, among other things, allow you to use public transport in the Rostock area for free, were only given to us at 3 p.m., but were charged for the full day. That was a shame, as it could have been used on the day of arrival. The package we booked included a harbor tour in Warnemünde. Due to the weather (fog) the ship could not leave and therefore we could not use the voucher. We informed the reception about this. The colleague explained to us that there is nothing you can do other than tear up the voucher. Our request for a small compensation, for example a drink with dinner, was rejected. On the second day we visited the sauna, which was open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. When we arrived at 4 p.m., the sauna was just being turned on, so it took some time before we could use it. The stay was a gift for my husband's birthday and overall we were disappointed. This service does not meet the standards of a 4-star hotel.

We stayed at the hotel from 10/18/2024 to 10/20/2024. We arrived at the spa hotel. Dampf-Sauna did not work at all 😭, and Finnische Sauna only worked from 16.00 to 20.00. This is frankly not enough, taking into account the fact that it is dinner at this time. In addition, the hotel is 4 stars, but there is no kettle in the room. This is very strange. 🙁 Wi-fi worked very poorly, it kept cutting out. Breakfast was very good 👌 the restaurant staff is very friendly 🥰 the rooms are small, but new and comfortable 👍 the cleaning is excellent 👌 the beach is a 10-minute walk from the hotel, Netto is 3 minutes away. And if you drive 10 minutes by car to the ferry crossing, there is an excellent promenade for a walk, many fish shops, boat trips and cafes. Bottom line: we went to a spa hotel, our expectations were not met. I don’t recommend it to anyone planning a holiday in a spa hotel. For those who care about walks and the beach, yes, a good option.

After Corona and some time, we are back again. "Repeat offender" It's nice, the nice staff is still there. Warm and accommodating. As always, you immediately feel at home. The pool and sauna area are sufficiently large, but there was a very unpleasant smell in the pool area throughout our stay. So all in all little things that can certainly be fixed quickly, price-performance ratio is right. We would book the house again

The hotel is a 20-minute drive from Warnemünde. It is in a quiet location. There is nothing else here. You always have to use the car or bicycles. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach but there is nothing to go for a walk here in the evening. We had a classic room, it was very winding. The bathroom was in the back corner of the room. But we had a huge balcony, which we didn't use because of the weather. To get to the balcony you had to climb a very high one overcome the stage. Not for older people. The balconies are only on the fourth floor. The other rooms don't have any. The breakfast buffet was good. There was always enough space. The staff was always friendly.

Were desperately looking for 2 rooms on the same day - got a small, very nice holiday apartment, the staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating! The breakfast buffet was very good, good value for money… We were super satisfied and can very well imagine our own vacation there!

Clean hotel with nice staff and great menu. Breakfast buffet with everything you need to start the day. Rooms are small and functional. You only sleep there, otherwise during the day you're just out and about at the beach, Karl's Strawberry Farm, Rostock Zoo or Warnemünde.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Near the beach. Breakfast was delicious, cheese selection could be a bit higher quality. We had a room on the 4th floor with a nice view. Everything very clean. Markgrafenheide is suitable for people who are looking for peace and relaxation and can do without Tralala. Tip: Hikers through the Rostock Heath should not forget the mosquito spray. We like to do nudism, beach entrance 22 is marked accordingly. But unfortunately almost only textile workers there too!

A very pleasant stay away from the full and crowded beach hotels. The Hotel Godewind is approx. 600m away from the beach. A very friendly welcome at check-in, a newly renovated room, and a super friendly service team made our short vacation here a great experience. The bouquet of roses I had booked in advance stood in all its glory in a great vase in the sitting area of ​​the room and put a smile on my wife's face. The surprise was a success. The breakfast buffet was also very varied and fresh items were always added. All in all, it was a relaxing and pleasant stay here. The super friendly and attentive staff made everything perfect! Customer service and empathy is not the rule here. I had a reservation and on my way there I had an emergency, I called from the veterinary hospital crying asking for an exception with the intention to pay a fee but not for the total stay. I understand the policies and rules, but also I understand customer service and human kind. The lady on the phone could try to offer to switch dates, create a voucher whatever to keep the customer coming in some point, but obviously, business forward thinking is not there. ✌🏽 thanks for nothing

We had a 5 day vacation in the hotel and were very satisfied. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was rich and good. Dinner was very good. The sauna was neat. We found the bus connection to be very good, so you can leave your car behind. You were quickly in Warnemünde and a trip on the Mississippi steamer is recommended. The Rostock Zoo was also an experience. The beach 🏖 is also not far away and very beautiful. We would be happy to come back 😊

A week of alkaline fasting in Godewind - simply great! Very nicely located, close to the beach, super tasty, basic meals, extremely nice staff. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Wellness area with sauna and pool, beautiful outdoor area. Deck chairs, beach chairs. It couldn't be better, we'll be back! 😊👌

We felt very comfortable in one of the holiday apartments belonging to the hotel. The apartments (located on the ground floor) are very spacious and our dog was also warmly welcomed with a bowl and treats. It was only a few meters to the hotel with a restaurant and breakfast, so you could leave the dog in the holiday apartment during meals without worry. The breakfast is totally rich and leaves nothing to be desired. It took about 5 - 10 minutes to get to the beach - depending on how fast you walk. There is a NETTO 5 minutes away. Walking the dog was possible right from the apartment. With the spa card you also have the personal ticket (dogs pay a reduced price) for public transport in your pocket and you can safely leave the car in the hotel parking lot. The ferry over to Warnemünde costs extra. The water temperature in the indoor pool was very pleasant. All the hotel staff were really nice and were always happy to help with any questions or requests. We will be back.

We then had to get bad cloth slippers from reception, which we couldn't use in the wet, and were charged €2.50 per pair.

Schönes Hotel mit nettem Service, Wellnesbereich inklusive kleinem Schwimmbad. Es gibt eine Leseecke, Bar und Restaurant mit schmackhaften Speisen. Das Hozel befindet sich in dem kleinem Ort Markgrafenheide mit schönem Stand. Busverbindung nach Warnemünde -Hafen.

Basenfastenwoche Wir hatten ein Apartment. Ein Stern Abzug nur, weil man zur Sauna über den Hof zum Hotel gehen musste. Dadurch konnte man nicht im Bademantel gehen. Die Küche ist einwandfrei und die Gerichte sehr geschmackvoll angerichtet und sehr lecker!
