I stopped there today after a Loreley tour; it's a very nice little restaurant with very friendly staff, and the food was extremely delicious. I had the three schnitzels. Card payment is accepted. The only downside was that I actually wanted to order the mixed grill platter that's listed on the menu online and also on the sign outside... Unfortunately, it was no longer available.

The Rosenberger Restaurant in Rüdesheim is highly recommended! They're famous for their schnitzel, of course, but they also offer a great selection of other delicious German dishes – all fresh, authentic, and prepared with care. The fries were a real highlight – sensationally seasoned, truly some of the best our whole family has ever had! The dip for the baked potato was also exceptional – not just your average herbed quark, but something truly special. The service was incredibly friendly, relaxed, and not at all stiff – exactly what you'd expect in a restaurant like this. And the prices are absolutely fair, especially for Rüdesheim.

A top address in Rüdesheim, excellent cuisine at a fair price! Reservations are essential!

We had spare ribs and mussels (a house recommendation). The mussels were good. The spare ribs were very fatty and not grilled, just oven-cooked. The meat didn't fall off the bone but stuck to it, which we're used to much better. The marinade, if there was any, was tasteless. Despite complaining to the waiter, he shrugged helplessly. A restaurant that relies on tourists is obviously less interested in criticism, which is a shame. Then it makes more sense to fill up at a kebab shop for a quarter of the price. Restaurants with this kind of customer service policy shouldn't be surprised if customers stay away in the long run.

We ordered two Jägerschnitzel and had to wait 45 minutes before it was served. The restaurant was about half full and waiting 45 minutes was not expected and not normal in our experience from other restaurants in Germany. When the food finally arrived, not a word was said by the young man who served the plates about the time of waiting. The result was that we skipped dessert which we had planned to have and this poor review. We didn´t dare sitting for another 45 minutes waiting. To be honest, reading the owners comments to all negative reactions over time, I expect the answer to our complain will be that it´s our fault if we are not satisfied. That gives Basil Fawlty-vibes.

The Benediktiner Weizen beer, spare ribs, schnitzel, and whole roasted chicken were all delicious. The chicken in particular had a unique flavor and the skin was crispy, making it very enjoyable.

We had a three-course menu with matching wines. Excellent wine recommendations for the appetizer, and for the second course, we had a Pinot Blanc with a pear flavor, alongside the sea bream and mussels. The lemon sorbet was a dream. The waitress was very attentive, competent, and exceptionally friendly. An all-around lovely and enjoyable evening. We would love to come back. It's been half a year since we visited this restaurant, but it's still etched in my memory! The restaurant is somewhat kitschy, overcrowded, but decorated with love and memories. Manuela served us herself, full of enthusiasm, and I think Guido was also at the bar. The food was plentiful and delicious. This visit was a highlight of my vacation. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

We asked a local at the wine shop for a dinner recommendation and he directed us here. It was a fantastic suggestion. The food was beyond incredible, particularly the white wine cream and herb soup, and the mussels were the best I’ve ever had. Very friendly service, and we left happy with every aspect of the meal. The patio outside gives you a nice view of the Rhine. For some reason, there were fireworks across the river and we got a perfect view of those as well.

Excellent restaurant. Manu and Guido Rosenberger also accommodate special dietary requests. Our visits there have always been to our complete satisfaction.

Absolute disappointment – ​​never again! This was our second visit to Café Rosenberger in Rüdesheim. The first time (by chance, as a friend had recommended it to us), the food was okay. So we tried again – and that was a huge mistake. Yesterday we had to wait a whole hour for our food (measured it with a stopwatch!). We ordered schnitzel with fried potatoes – but we were served just plain potatoes, which weren't tasty at all. This time, the schnitzel was far too heavily breaded and average at best. The apple spritzer with a scoop of ice cream was also a joke: the drink arrived immediately, but the scoop of ice cream wasn't brought until almost an hour (!) later, at the end of the meal. The service was a disaster. The manager herself was extremely unfriendly, stressed, and rude. When I asked her, quite simply, why we had to wait so long, she got loud and actually asked me in front of all the guests if I was trying to provoke her. I simply mentioned matter-of-factly that we had to wait almost an hour and that I even timed it on my phone. My suggestion to call next time, as I'm coming all the way from Frankfurt to make sure the food would be ready on time, was dismissed with a dismissive smile. Conclusion: Disappointing food, disrespectful and rude service. I've never experienced such poor customer service. I'll definitely never be back and can only advise everyone: save your time, nerves, and money. There are far better schnitzels in Frankfurt, and above all, friendlier hosts!

My wife and I were privileged to experience this wonderful place for the first time today with a candlelight dinner. We received a warm welcome and excellent advice on our menu selections. Manuela, with her particularly amiable manner, sent us the message that every wish would be fulfilled. She succeeded. Thank you for the wonderful evening.

After 2 weeks traveling through the Rhine Valley and Bavaria (and eating at 1-2 new German restaurant everyday) Cafe Rosenberger is still near/at the top of the list. You know when you finish a meal, look around the table, and everyone has the same look of blissful satisfaction? Your eyes are asking, “did you enjoy that as much as I did? Because that was amazing.” Well that was the look every diner had when leaving this restaurant. A slightly fancier or more modern twist to traditional classics done exceptionally well. Highly recommend!!

It's a very elegant place, and the food is truly delicious. The schnitzel and chicken wings were wonderful. The service was good, and the place was clean. It's a place where you can find friendly staff and delicious food all in one place. When you sit outside, you can see people walking along the seashore and ships at sea. I think it's definitely a place you should try when you come here. It's also a cafe that won the Gastronomy Award No. 1 in Hessen in 2010.

The hunter's schnitzel was very good, not a deep-fried schnitzel and relatively large (a men's portion), highly recommended.

This was a famous restaurant at the time, but the service was bad, the salad leaves were not washed and had a lot of sand. The pasta was completely raw and hard, the waiter was tough and didn't explain at all

We had super delicious Rüdesheimer Asbach schnitzel and Jägerschnitzel. We had to wait almost an hour for the food, but it was incredibly delicious. The service was super friendly. The only real criticism I could have is that you have to order all the side dishes separately. This makes a schnitzel €17 plus fries and salad. Almost €26, but still damn delicious.

We were at Rosenberger again on July 12th. We reserved a table outside for five people at 12:30 p.m. as agreed. As always, perfect service and wonderful hospitality.

We were just sitting there for 16 minutes, were immediately noticed by two employees and ignored. No hello, no "we'll be right there" - nothing. The table of boys/men next to us was apparently more interesting than serving us. What a shame! Besides, only two tables were occupied (the one with the men and ours). 2 stars because the menu itself looked good – and the food that came out was too.

In short: perfect food with perfect service in a perfect atmosphere. The best restaurant we visited during our two vacations in Rüdesheim. Highly recommended, and thank you for the wonderful service and the fantastic food. 😇

An absolute highlight in Rüdesheim – hospitality at the highest level I have rarely left a restaurant as enthusiastic as I was after our visit to Restaurant Rosenberger. What Manuela and Guido Rosenberger and their team create here is a prime example of genuine hospitality, excellent cuisine, and quality without compromise. As soon as you enter, you can sense that the work here is done with passion – personal, warm, and attentive. The service is excellent, never intrusive, but always present and attentive. You simply feel welcome. The cuisine is simply outstanding: every plate is a delight, flavorful to perfection, freshly prepared, and lovingly presented. Whether meat or vegetarian – the quality of the ingredients is noticeably high, and you can tell that the cooking here is done with passion and skill. I would particularly like to highlight the Riesling schnitzel. It was a poem. I honestly can't understand some of the few negative reviews online. If the meal takes a few minutes longer, it's not due to poor organization, but rather because the food is still cooked properly – fresh, without processed foods, and with a high level of quality. And that's unfortunately rare these days. I was glad not to have a dishful of care on the table after five minutes – but rather a meal that was worth the wait. In conclusion: If you're looking for genuine craftsmanship, honest cuisine, and hosts who put their heart and soul into their food in Rüdesheim, this is the place for you. For me, the Rosenberger Restaurant is a true gem – and I'll definitely be back!

We had the extra spicy chicken and the Alsatian tarte flambée. Both were excellent, but the chicken was truly amazing. Crispy yet tender, with a pleasant level of spice. The waiters were all really friendly, too! Highly recommended.

Woman waitress who work in this restaurant is so rude and unprofessional. We asked for how long we will wait for food, one toast and burger (it was 30 minutes already) she aggressively replied us go to McDonalds and Doner, if we want it faster. Teach your workers to talk to people.

Shockingly rude service at a tourist trap of the worst kind. Order taking took 20 minutes. Starters arrived after 1 hour. When politely asked after 90 minutes when we could expect the main course, we were lectured by the old lady waitress (possibly the owner's wife) that it was our fault because we hadn't told her that we wanted to eat soon after the starters. Another table next to ours with the same issue were told by the same woman that they shouldn't go to a restaurant if they couldn't make enough time to wait .... We did however wait another 20 minutes for nothing, but then had to leave. We were given the full bill, complete with another lecture why we were at fault. The pictures you see below were all we ate for well over € 100. No "sorry", not a single smile, and no concession. We left hungry and very seriously annoyed. Thus this review. Obviously these owners have abandoned any pretense to run a professional restaurant. They rely on their location smack in the middle of the tourist area, and on reviews which, after our experience, are highly suspect. To the rude old lady waitress: please do the world a favour and find another job. You are terrible at this one.

As always, amazing food and superb service. Even our group of nine was served very quickly and almost simultaneously. Some of the portions are quite large, but you can easily have the leftovers packed up. Whenever we're in Rüdesheim, we go here for dinner—or just for a drink or two.

Absolutely outrageous – absolutely not recommended! This was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The chicken was still raw inside – unhealthy and disgusting! The rest of the food arrived cold, and that was after a wait of over 50 minutes, even though the place was almost empty. The taste was simply abysmal: bland, cheap, and completely carelessly prepared. You get the feeling that neither hygiene nor quality is taken seriously here. If you don't want to upset your stomach, you should avoid this place altogether. Update: Save yourself the time of taking legal action and invest it in roasting your chicken properly. Then you won't get reviews like this in the first place!

I would love to give no star. service was nice but that's it! Had to wait an hour for the food and the meat from the chicken burger was completely raw, despite being returned the second time it was raw again. disaster The atmosphere is also very old and cheap - so really not recommended!

Pros: + Food was good Cons: - Waited 30 minutes for just garlic bread - Our table had no cutlery or napkins - Stood at the register for 10-15 minutes waiting to pay while the man in front paid straight away. I'm going to give the staff the benefit of the doubt and say they were busy, and that this was an irregular occurrence. If you've got time, and if their garlic bread is anything to go by, the rest of the food must be very good.

Despite our repeated email requests, this restaurant does not respond to our reservation requests. His pretexts are as follows: "The Internet has not been working for 2 months" (pretext from last year) or: "we are closed at the moment" (new pretext for a reservation made in May for the month of June). This restaurateur seems not to want to work with a certain clientele or is probably rolling in gold (restaurants in Germany seem to be doing better than those in France). I would like to remind you that it is up to the restaurateur to be available to his customers and not the opposite. Unable to call outside France, we reserve dozens of restaurants each year, some of the best in around thirty European countries, by email or via reservation platforms. I therefore strongly advise not to linger on this type of establishment (if you cannot reserve by telephone) and instead to favor an Italian restaurant such as "La Romantica beim Donato" or "Hannelore International" which regularly take our reservations (whether there are 2, 3 or 10 of us) and whose dynamism we salute. We therefore give it a one-star rating (unable to judge this establishment on its cuisine, its service or its friendliness). This notice will be modified the day the restaurateur changes his behavior and adopts more commercial behavior. Damage !

Malgré nos demandes par mail répétées, ce restaurant ne donne pas suite à nos demandes de réservation. Ses prétextes sont les suivants : "Internet ne fonctionne pas depuis 2 mois" (prétexte de l'année dernière) ou encore : "nous sommes fermés pour le moment" (nouveau prétexte pour une réservation faite en Mai pour le mois de Juin). Ce restaurateur semble ne pas vouloir travailler avec une certaine clientèle ou roule probablement sur l'or (la restauration en Allemagne semblant mieux se porter que celle en France). Je tiens à rappeler que c'est au restaurateur d'être à la disposition de sa clientèle et non pas le contraire. Ne pouvant téléphoner hors de France, nous réservons chaque année des dizaines de restaurants, certains parmi les meilleurs dans une trentaine de pays d'Europe, par mail ou via des plateformes de réservation. Je conseille donc vivement de ne pas s'attarder sur ce type d'établissement (si vous ne pouvez pas réserver par téléphone) et de plutôt favoriser un restaurant italien tel "La Romantica beim Donato" ou encore "Hannelore International" qui prennent régulièrement nos réservations (que nous soyons à 2, 3 ou 10) et dont nous saluons le dynamisme. Nous attribuons donc la note d'une étoile (ne pouvant juger cet établissement sur sa cuisine, sur son service ou encore sur sa convivialité). Cet avis sera modifié le jour où le restaurateur changera de comportement et adoptera un comportement plus commercial. Dommage !

Understaffed staff at breakfast, therefore very unfriendly and hectic...Almost empty sausage and cheese plates...Only 1 type of roll...No option for a latte macchiato or cappuccino...Only coffee from bottled cans which didn't taste good either. I don't have to go there again...

Das Essen einfach nur MEGA vor allem die Gulaschsuppe. Das halbe Hänchen die Rippchen oder Grillteller Super. Aber auch das Ambiente ind die Bedinung Supper. Kann nur weiter empfehlen. Das Restaurant ist einfach ein Muss bei einen Aufenthalt in Rüdesheim. Und das alles direkt an der Drosselgasse.

The best schnitzel I have ever had. Recommend the three schnitzel platter. However, beware, despite the price, there are three full portions.

Am Eingang wird man direkt, darauf hingewiesen, dass das überaus freundliche Person, dem Gast den Tisch zu weisst. Lustig, dass man hier dem Gast schon über die Freundlichkeit des Peronals hinweisen muss. Ein 1/2 Hähnchen in verschiedenen Würzungen bestellen zu können, kannten wir noch nicht, freuten uns auf eine neue Erfahrung. Mein „würziges“ Hähnchen wurde mir mit einem starken Knoblauchduft serviert. Meine Frage hiernach, wurde von der Bedienung abgetan. Sie Inhaberin hatte nichts anderes zu tun, als mein Unverständnis über ein halbes Höhnchen mit Knoblauch, am Nachbartisch laut zu kommentieren (habe heute nur sowas… (den Rest möcht ich nicht zitieren) ), statt mich als Gast anzusprechen. Meine Kritik bzgl des Gerichtes, sah die Inhaberin beim Abräumen eher als Affront gegen ihr langjähriges Konzept an und hatte kein Verständnis. Wenn man allergisch wäre, sollte man Inhaltsstoffe erfragen. Sehr geehrte Frau Beier, man sollte Freundlichkeit (Hinweis auf ihrem Schild) nicht mit Überheblichkeit verwechseln. Aber sie wissen wahrscheinlich, wer Tagesgast ist und sowieso nicht mehr wiederkommt. Ich freue mich bereits jetzt schon auf ihre Antwort!

You feel incredibly welcome. The food is absolutely top, quality and quantity. Very courteous employees and bosses. The Rüdesheimer coffee is perfect and the homemade dressing is awesome.

We were there today. The ambience, the hospitality and everything was great for taking a break. We were warmly welcomed and served personally throughout. The menu was clear and the dishes were chosen so that everyone gets what suits them, from small to large, from small to large appetites. The food was very well prepared. The guests were treated like guests and you could take as much time as you wanted. A very successful hospitality. P.S. Explosive= Explosive, but just right when your nose is closed. 😉

Bei jedem Aufenthalt im Jagdschloss genießen wir nicht nur einmal ein köstliches Abendessen im Rosenberger. Hervorragend und vor allem frisch zubereitet wird alles, was auf der reichhaltigen Speisekarte geboten ist. Unser Favorit fast ist immer das Grillhendl. Legendär! Auch der freundliche Empfang und der kompetente Service tragen zum Wohlfühlen in diesem Lokal bei. Dankeschön!

Vom Hotel Jagdschloss Niederwald zieht es uns im Rheingau-Urlaub immer wieder ins Rosenberger. In sehr behaglichem Ambiente werden wir immer überaus aufmerksam bedient mit Gerichten einer vorzüglichen Küche. Die Grillhendl sind grandios! Als Vorspeise haben es uns die Schnecken und die Champignons (Foto ; ) angetan. Vom Wintergarten genießen wir gerne den Blicl über den Rhein auf den Rochusberg. Rosenberger können wir nür wärmstens empfehlen!

Had a very good meal there. The portions are large - you'll definitely be full. The schnitzels in particular are enormous. Unbeatable for the price. The ambience is of course a matter of taste, but there are a few places outside with a view of the Rhine. We had the tarte flambée as a main course and they were really great!

Restaurant Rosenberger… central located at the corner of Rheinstraße / Drossengasse in Rüdesheim. From outside it looks pretty nice and even romantic. A bit irritating photos of dishes at the window - not matching the atmosphere of the restaurant. I got attracted by the crispy spicy / hot / extra hot or explosive chicken. Since I can take spicy food I decided to order „explosive chicken“. Also I did order a good red wine from South Africa 9€ per glass. Surprisingly the expensive red wine had completely the wrong temperature and this in a wine town of Rüdesheim! Really? I took ONLY more than 45 minutes to prepare it… than my first bite - and nothing happened! Yes, it looked crispy and had a dark red skin, but that was it - not even spicy and far away of being explosive. I bet it doesn’t matter which one you order - they all taste the same and the owner believes nobody will ever dare to order explosive chicken. Well, I did and I was more than disappointed! With the chicken I did order Rösti (Swiss baked potato) - I had 4 pieces (1€ per piece), see photo of menue. All in all I learned my lesson another time… Never ever go to a restaurant with photos of the dishes… at least not in Europe! Pity for the place, since the atmosphere was quite nice! Food zero points - complete disappointment! Zu Ihrer Antwort… Meine Bewertung ist keineswegs ein persönlicher Angriff! Ich beschränke es mal kurz und knapp auf zwei Dinge. 1. Ihre Schärfegrade sind völlig willkürlich und „explosiv“ ist (war bei mir) bestenfalls mittelscharf. 2. Relativ hochwertigen Rotwein gekühlt zu servieren stimmt mich für ein Restaurant in einem Weinort zumindest mal nachdenklich! Dabei will ich es auch belassen!

Nothing exceptional, what I found excessive is asking you for money to use the toilet, the prices of drinks are anything but low.

Insanely good chicken. I haven't eaten such delicious chicken in years. The chicken schnitzel Parma with Parma ham, rocket and tomato mozzarella is also very tasty. The potato sticks (fries) TIP TOP.
