We come from nearby and chose the first restaurant we saw because we were so hungry… we were so pleasantly surprised because we expected a tourist trap due to the location 🙈 The service was attentive and friendly, the food was tasty, the portions were generous and the view of the Rhine was unbeatable. We even met the nice boss, great shop, it was a coincidence, we'll definitely come back next time! If you want to have a bit of touristy fun, order a Rüdesheimer coffee and enjoy the show 😇

Half chicken “spicy” is highly recommended. 💯👍 Never had such good fries before. Read about it in the reviews and it's true. 😋 A schnitzel “Austria” filled with Camembert, cranberries and pears is also a MUST. After a 3-day stay in Rüdesheim, we ate there 3 times.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately I found the portions to be too large; half would be more than enough.

Even though we were very late, we were greeted and served in a very friendly manner. The food was really super delicious, the garlic bread was our highlight. The schnitzels are homemade and you can tell. The portions are really big and the fries are also super tasty and crispy. All in all we will definitely come back. Thanks again for making us something to eat so late.

Wir waren mit 10 Personen alle super zufrieden. Die Schnitzel sind absolut gut gebraten und die Sausen sind frisch gemacht und die beste ( ich habe vier probiert ) war die Riesling Sause. Die Preise sind auf jeden Fall gerechtfertigt. Der Service ist toll, nett und flott.

American tourists DON'T waste your time here, they treat you like lepers. Went with my husband based on the reviews. We walk into an almost empty restaurant and the waitress gives us the table right near the door where the wind will blow on us every time the door is opened. I asked politely for another of the tables (which again were empty) and the waitress yells at me, telling me that they are all reserved. We sit down and order an appetizer (tomatoes and mozzarella) which arrived quickly. At that point, the restaurant started to fill up. The waiter took our dinner order. We watched as diners who came in later than us were served. In fact, before long it became apparent that everyone in the restaurant had been served, many of them people who had come in far later than we had. Despite several polite inquiries as to where our food was, we waited. Then we watched as the restaurant cleared out. We finally called our waiter and told him that we had been waiting an hour since we had ordered. He was extremely defensive and rude. Finally we were served and we asked for our water cups to be refilled. After another 15 minutes we finally got our water. At that point we were so disgusted that we asked for the check and left our half-eaten meals on the table. I have never been treated so rudely in a restaurant. And the final pied de resistance was that the food was simply mediocre. Our night had been ruined.

The food was, as always, very good, but unfortunately the evening was marred by hectic and sometimes unfriendly service. The wait for the food was also very long and made the evening an unpleasant experience.

Dropped in late one evening to try an apple strudel and "Rudescheim cafe", service was great despite the hour and the strudel and coffee were great.

I was there today with my wife and it was just great. I had the schnitzel platter and half the chicken was also very good. I drank Rüdesheimer coffee for the first time and recommended it. Service top 😘 So we'll be back on our next visit to Rüdesheim

Served very attentively by Alex, we ate three half chickens with fries here for lunch today. In short, it couldn't be better. We were able to really enjoy our vacation from everyday life here. At a beautifully set table, with a wonderful view over the Rhine🍁🍂 the price and performance are also right here. ❣️❣️❣️

Bijzonder arrogant en onvriendelijk personeel. We hebben hier twee keer gegeten en de eerste keer werden we ontvangen en behandeld door een nogal chagrijnige ober. De tweede keer werden we door een even chagrijnige serveerster ontvangen en daardoor weer weggegaan. Het eten was de eerste meer best wel ok, alleen hadden we een onaangename discussie over de rekening. We willen best wel goed betalen voor het eten maar uiteten is een totaal beleving maar als je niet netjes wordt ontvangen en behandeld door het personeel is het plezier er snel vanaf. In deze zaak is de behandeling van de klanten ver beneden peil.

We had dessert only here and it was delicious! Warm Chocolate cake with a gooey center, served with vanilla ice cream. The second dessert was warm apple strudel. While we were here, we saw at least 15 dishes chicken served to others patrons. We could tell that was a big seller.

Good food: classics with a few specialties here and there, e.g. the schnitzel with lemon cream sauce. The Riesling cream soup is recommended. There is also a friendly welcome, clean sanitary facilities and moderate prices for a restaurant in a tourist location.

Went there for the first time today, we sat nicely in the winter garden with a view of the Rhine and ships. Very good grilled chicken with crispy herb fries. Friendly service from Alex. Good value for money.

Nice restaurant with really friendly, funny and nice service. We had a good evening with good food. The wine (we are Franconians) is not really our taste. All in all, the restaurant/café is definitely worth a visit.

I went there already two times and am planning to visit the restaurant again! The chicken is great with all the different heat (spicy) levels. For people who like eating spicy food but can't tolerate a lot of spice is "spicy" the right level of heat. "Really spicy" is what I had last time. And let me tell you: you could still taste the flavor! It's really great food! I'm thinking about eating "explosive" next time. I'll keep you updated :D Otherwise the atmosphere outside is pretty normal, people walking by, trains, cars, bikes,... The tables and seats are clean and looked after. The staff is friendly and the prices are pretty normal. I'm thinking about getting spareribs sometime soon as well. They looked amazing!

We have eaten at that restaurant once. We ordered spacy chicken which was juicy and tasty.

The waiter was absolutely great. We didn't have much time and he really made it possible for us to eat and drink. The fries were super tasty. Really super crispy. The apple strudel was also really good. The sanitary facilities were very cute and clean. Ambience a minus because so many freight trains were passing by at the time. Otherwise, great view of the Rhine and comfortable chairs and benches. Even equipped with blankets. Price-performance ratio is also really great. I'd love to come back. Thanks to the great waiter. We were there on August 22nd around 10pm.

Eat mega. Really really really good 👍 The service could be a little more attentive and follow up when the glasses are empty. We would have had 2 to 3 glasses of wine and 1 bottle of water more.

We were looking for a restaurant in Rüdesheim and chose exactly the right one, the restaurant "Rosenberger"! It looked very nice from the outside, so we went inside. We were greeted very friendly by the waiter and the owner. Great start. The atmosphere is really very nice (see photos). We felt very comfortable. The menu was medium in size and there was something for everyone. I chose a schnitzel burger, my wife a half chicken with fries and my son a Wiener schnitzel with fries (see photos). I actually wanted to order fries with it, but after the waiter's well-intentioned advice that the schnitzel burger was really big and I could really order more fries at short notice, I left the fries out for now. At the end of the meal, that turned out to be the best decision. Thanks. Everyone enjoyed it very much and the portions were really generous. Not so the prices, they were really more than okay. Thank you for the pleasant stay. We'll see each other again on our next visit to beautiful Rüdesheim am Rhein!

The food really tasted great, absolutely no question about it. Because of Corona or tourism, you can imagine why the kitchen was designed for schnitzel, burgers and tarte flambées. However, as a long-time customer, I was quite disappointed not to find any fish dishes (apart from the fish burger) or international dishes on the menu (for which you won an award in 2010). Even though many people have a different opinion, I found the staff friendly, but I still think (as a waitress) that leggings and hoodies shouldn't be part of the staff's dress code in a restaurant. I would also like to note that there were several tables that still hadn't been tidied up and cleaned (yes, I saw that there were two waiters, but taking a tray and quickly putting everything in order is really not a good idea Effort). It was also a shame that we were asked briefly at the stairs if everyone was OK, which my mother didn't even notice because no one came to our table to ask. Finally, I would like to say that I have never had to pack my own food, but unfortunately I did today. I think these days it's difficult to run a restaurant according to the standards of back then, but I'm still a little disappointed.

I have been eating at this amazing restaurant for about 20 years! Their quality food, attentive staff, and amazing wine selection at reasonable prices have kept me coming back time after time. The outstanding staff and hands-on owners are truly intent on making your visit the best it can be. Every dish is freshly made and served hot. In my opinion, they have the best overall restaurant in the over 40 countries in which I have visited! The only problem I have when I am there is deciding which delectable dish I am going to select that day!

Today we had dinner with my family at Café Restaurant Rosenberger. The food (half chicken with fries and tarte flambée) and the service were 1A. We can only recommend it !

By chance we got a few seats when there wasn't much going on. Our luck! The different schnitzel variants were without exception very good (the portion could be a bit large for not-so-good eaters). The fries were very crispy and seasoned a little differently than everywhere else (rosemary). Fine! The side salad for 3 euros was unexpectedly huge and also very good. Great value for money. Unreserved recommendation! Please continue. :)

The food was decent but service was unfriendly particularly towards foreigners ❌ The staff chitchats with German customers the whole time while not providing service to the foreign customers. We spoke fluent German, and told the waitress twice to pack our leftovers (“wir würden gerne den Rest mitnehmen“ and „Könnten Sie das Essen einpacken“). But she threw our food away anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️ and twisted our words („Sie haben ja gesagt, dass ich es abräumen soll“), that she allegedly never got the correct instructions, cuz we didn’t speak the „perfect German“ Definitely not recommended for internationals

We ordered the 1/2 grill chicken and naively chose the "explosive" option for level of spice, assuming this would be the usual "German" classification of spice - boy, were we wrong! 😁 Even by Indian standards, the highest spice level is SPICY- and delicious, especially with the roast potato and cream. The spare ribs were very good, as was the spaghetti with mushrooms. Service was quick and efficient. Portions were very generous.

The service was very nice, friendly and relaxed. She brought us the menu and disappeared unnoticed :) ... admirable! We felt very comfortable and warmly welcomed. The ambience is beautiful and gives a certain calm. The tables are set up in such a way that even when the restaurant is full, you can have a good, quiet conversation and not feel disturbed by other voices (which seem to be muffled). When we finally decided on our meal (I would order half the menu) it came to us as ordered. Craziness! Such a guest feeling!!! The food came quickly too. And all details and special features that were mentioned when ordering were taken into account. There was nothing to complain about. The food tasted too perfect, too ideal and simply fantastic!!! Once again we treat ourselves to a few days of break in the Rheingau and visit the restaurants that have proven to us very well. What better way to start your holiday at the Niederwald hunting lodge than with a delicious dinner at the Rüdesheimer “Rosenberger”. After the excellent starters - snails and mushrooms - we enjoyed the excellent chicken in a lovely atmosphere. The dish, the service and the restaurant are highly recommended! We were definitely not there for the last time!

Für uns als Hendl-Genießer ist dieses Lokal schon das absolute Highlight. Bessere Grillhendl wurden uns noch nirgends serviert. Hervorragende Fleischqualität und ebenso gute Zubereitung. Das Lokal ist sehr behaglich eingerichetet, der Service ebenso freundlich wie kompetent. Wenn man so auf die Teller sieht, die aus der Küche kommen, scheinen im „Rosenberger“ alle Gerichte grandios zu gelingen. Bei jedem unserer Urlaube im Jagschloss Niederwald sind wir hier begeisterte „Stammgäste“.

The food was rich and tasted very good. The ambience looked old-fashioned. Service was zero. When my wife asked after 20 minutes whether it would take a long time to eat (guests at the neighboring table who came later were already eating), my wife got a curt answer from the boss, saying that everything was made fresh. Something like this can also be communicated to the guest in a friendly manner. Professionalism is not your strength. When we left we weren't even looked at and even a "goodbye" was probably too much of a friendliness. Since we don't visit Rüdesheim anymore anyway (the whole place isn't that great anymore), we are spared a visit to Café Rosenberger

We wanted to go out to eat and there was still a lot of space in the restaurant. When we asked the boss if there was still room, she said no, she could now accommodate 100 guests. When we came back an hour later the restaurant was still just as empty...very disappointing...never again

Die Karte ist klein, es gibt überwiegend Schnitzel... Diese haben es aber in sich: Wir haben selten so große, so krosse und so schmackhafte Schnitzel gegessen...und wir haben schon viele Schnitzel gegessen! Unsere Wahl lautete Schnitzel mit Parmaschinken bzw. mit Meerrettich und Zwiebeln. Beide schmeckten erstklassig und waren für eine Person nicht zu bewältigen. Dazu kamen noch sehr leckere Pommes, wovon aber auch nur die Hälfte verzehrt werden konnte. Vielleicht sollte der Inhaber die Schnitzelgröße um 1/4 reduzieren. Dann bekommt man das Stück Fleisch wenigstens aufgegessen, die Bewertungen bleiben garantiert genauso gut und der Umsatz steigert sich.
