Fun place for drinks and/or dinner. We stopped for beer after a tour of the area. We sat outdoors on the street so we could watch people. Good service and beer. We decided to stay for dinner so moved to the beer garden area. Still outside, but under cover. I had the curry brat and it was outstanding. My wife had the schnitzel with mushroom sauce and she really enjoyed it but said it could have used more sauce.

Whenever we go for a walk in Rüdesheim we see on the display on the street "fresh pork knuckle", so we stopped in last time. What we had on our plate was a small pork knuckle... We've bought the same one at Lidl before, so nothing special. We've eaten a few but they didn't taste good at all. The schnitzel, which was supposed to be made from the loin of pork, was nothing special either. It looked more like it was made from the topside... We were very disappointed 😞 😞. The atmosphere was very nice, and you can sit outside. Unfortunately you have to pay extra for a side salad with the schnitzel, whereas in other restaurants it is served with it... It's a nice restaurant, full of tourists... But unfortunately it wasn't for us.

We stopped there after a short wine tour and had the vegan burger and the beef roulade. Both were delicious, and the service was very friendly and attentive :)

Very tasty, I recommend the knuckle of pork. Perfect, the meat practically fell apart. The coleslaw had a bit too much mayonnaise, but it was still good. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. We'll be back.

Stopped by coincidence when the neighbouring place didn’t show any interest for 20 minutes waiting and didn’t regret. Service was great, food fresh and tasty, no salt or spices needed which is usually rare. Gebackene Hirtenkäse with olives and then the same Flammkuchen were amazing. Found myself a new favourite place in Ruedesheim and looking forward to be back!

A great atmosphere, the service very friendly and attentive. We had two pork knuckles with gravy, dumplings, and coleslaw salad. The crust was really crispy and the meat incredibly tender. The dumplings were cooked to perfection and simply fantastic with the melted butter and toasted breadcrumbs. The coleslaw salad was also really good. It was incredibly tasty and a large portion, making it well worth the price. We haven't had such a good meal outside in a long time. We had dinner at Ratsstube Rudesheim tonight with seven people. The food was excellent, generous portions, and good value for money. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. We will definitely be back.

A good restaurant in Rüdesheim serving German cuisine. The schnitzel (whiskey and pepper sauce) was truly delicious and the portion was generous enough to fill you up. In my opinion, the sauce could have been a bit spicier, but that's a matter of taste, of course. Adequate shade is provided outside, so you don't have to sit in the blazing sun even in midsummer. What I really strongly criticize is the issue of tipping when paying. I'm always very critical of the automated options (10%, 20%, 30%, etc.) or the mandatory entry of tips by the guest on the payment terminal. As a guest, you're somehow subtly psychologically pressured to tip more than you actually think is appropriate so as not to appear rude (almost no one would enter €0 here). I think the adaptation of this, in my opinion, American system stems from Rüdesheim's strong tourist influence. However, I find this practice rather unpleasant, as prices in restaurants have now reached a level where I, as a guest, should assume that service is paid reasonably and that this wage is included in the price. For me, the corresponding application of this practice results in a deduction of several points, so that the rating only ends up at 3 stars, despite the good food and service.

Solid, home-style cooking in a cozy atmosphere—a safe choice in Rüdesheim!

The food was very good and plentiful. The service was a bit inattentive. What we don't understand at all is an item on the bill. Tips, etc., 1 euro. We don't know what that is, since we and our friends had it on the bill. It should be up to us whether we are satisfied and leave tips. Besides, we added a very generous tip to the bill anyway.

Whenever we're in Rüdesheim, we always eat at the Ratsstube. The service is incredibly friendly, and the chef makes a masterful rump steak and schnitzel. Fantastic!

I had the schnitzel and the mushroom schnitzel, but the mushroom schnitzel was a bit more delicious. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy this quality wine for around €20. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a truly wonderful experience.

At first glance, the restaurant appears rather unassuming, but the impression is deceptive: The food is absolutely outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with love. The service staff is extremely friendly and attentive, ensuring you feel completely at home. The value for money is excellent – you get really good quality at fair prices. The rooms are modern and inviting, and the restrooms are also clean and well-maintained. Overall, a real insider tip that we'd happily recommend!

Great atmosphere, great service, very customer-oriented, excellent food. As a celiac, they prepared a gluten-free meal for me: chicken, rosemary potatoes, and salad. It was delicious!

Friendly and fast service in a cozy atmosphere. We had, among other dishes, schnitzel and Riesling sparkling wine with apricot liqueur. It was delicious, and the portions were more than sufficient for us. We can absolutely recommend it.

I ate there with my wife on July 8, 2025. The food looked very good and tasted great. Initially, the server was also very friendly. Unfortunately, I found a piece of glass in the coleslaw, which spoiled my appetite. I then spoke to the waiter, who simply said, "Oh, that's not glass, just a piece of plastic," took it, and disappeared. I waited in vain for an apology. Which really should have been done. We won't be going back to this restaurant, which apparently doesn't need it.

I had a wonderful experience at this establishment. Although their gluten-free options were limited, the chef graciously prepared a delicious grilled chicken salad for me, accommodating my celiac disease. My friend thoughtfully communicated my dietary needs to the chef in German, and the waiter facilitated a smooth and efficient process. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt perfectly well afterward. It's a highly recommended location.

We ordered a classic tarte flambée with bacon and a tarte flambée with feta, olives and pepperoni. Unfortunately, it was by far the worst thing I've ever eaten. Just disgusting. It looked like the cheapest ingredients from the supermarket had been used to prepare it - tasteless pickled olives and jarred peppers. I will never visit this “restaurant” again and cannot recommend it to anyone. It's a shame, especially in such a beautiful city.

I was pleasantly surprised to snag a lovely table by the window at Ratsstube without a reservation, especially since the restaurant was buzzing with activity. While the service was friendly, it wasn't particularly attentive; I had to wait quite a while to flag down a server for my order. As I was looking for a light early dinner, I opted for the vegan burger. It featured a delicious vegan beef topped with a flavorful stake sauce. The patty and sauce were a fantastic combination, but unfortunately, the bun was a bit dry, which detracted from the overall experience. A few more veggies, like some fresh lettuce and tomato, would have also made the burger more substantial. Despite these minor issues, I was satisfied with my meal. The restaurant has a wonderfully cozy atmosphere with warm lighting. I especially appreciated the availability of blankets; it was a chilly evening, and snuggling up with one definitely enhanced the cozy vibes. Overall, Ratsstube is a good option for a casual meal in a relaxed setting.

We were in the council chambers today. The food was delicious! The schnitzel breading was thin and the meat was tender. The sauce was very successful. The salad dressing was also great.
