Restaurant Bühne Altstadthof in Nürnberg

Located right in the city center and easily accessible from the train station. The food (Schäufela) was really delicious and plentiful. The beer selection was excellent. The price-performance ratio was good.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant experience. We waited over an hour for our food. Goulash with spaetzle and salad with potato dumplings. The salad was barely dressed, the spaetzle cold, and the goulash a tiny portion. The servers were helpful and offered a 25% discount because the portions of goulash were, in their opinion, too small. We absolutely cannot recommend it.

We were there with a larger group. Apparently, it wasn't our night. The Schäufle (pork shoulder) and beer goulash were sold out. However, the remaining five main courses were still available. We had cheese spaetzle, which were OK. The brewmaster steak with fried potatoes was so-so. The schnitzel was good. Unfortunately, the pork medallions with whiskey pepper cream sauce were so spicy (even for those with less sensitive stomachs) that four out of four had to be returned. And even though it's a brewery, there apparently isn't any non-alcoholic sauce for pregnant women. The staff's comments were friendly and helpful, but unsatisfactory. However, the returned dishes were refunded and the newly ordered dishes were booked. The service wasn't so great when it came to drinks. Sorry, Altstadthof, but we've had much better experiences on our repeated trips to Nuremberg at other locations.

Enjoy a delicious Maibock in the courtyard. A great drink with extra hop aromas. Highly recommended. Served with Franconian cuisine. What more could you want?

This is a great place to grab a bite and have a good time with friends. The food selection is limited, but you won't go hungry. The focus here is on the drinks: they brew their own signature beer and other spirits! The waiters are attentive and welcoming!

Friendly service. We lucked out and someone had skipped their reservation. Food was fantastic, service was outstanding, and their beer was excellent.

Nice location with good, home-brewed beer. But if you want to eat halfway acceptable, you should go somewhere else. Selling stale, soggy gray bread as crusty bread and reacting to criticism in a soggy way is not allowed to happen. The Schäufele was at least good.

Far too little food for the price offered. The food wasn't good either. Service was a disaster. The beer tour was very good and the ambience was OK.

Very tasty food and modern, rustic atmosphere. The own beers are recommended.

Excellent authentic restaurant, brewery, distillery. The establishment is small, so if you managed to eat there, you are somewhat lucky. We were looking for a restaurant based on the recommendation of YouTuber Yevgeny Urykh (he has excellent reviews and tours) and definitely did not regret it. We were with our children, there were no seats right away, and the friendly waitress offered us to wait at the bar (later we were moved to a table). We tasted delicious beer, and the children were offered ECo coca-cola. The dishes were served quickly, for us they were not usual, but tasty. They were happy to taste a little authenticity. We also tried their whiskey (in a small shop next door), which is also very interesting.

Unfortunately it has been one of the worst experience in a long time. We had to wait more then hour for Nuremberg sausages with sauerkraut. Then it tasted like sausages from plastic packages that you can buy in supermarket. Waiters were nice but it could not improve the entire experience. I do not recommend this place.

Tasting boards and Schäufele are absolutely recommended. The two of us managed to get a place on Saturday in December at 5:30 p.m. even without a reservation. Everything was nice and friendly. Great service!

Typical Franconian food, good beer, sometimes quite loud in the restaurant

Very good food, great beer... the waitress and all the other workers were very nice and careful. It is also good to visit their adjacent Whisky destilary. I am not an expert, but I liked what I tasted.

The food was delicious, the drinks were delicious too, atmospheric place!

The food was very tasty, but we were out late in the morning and were hungry and the portion could have been larger. The service was very good and the black beer was delicious...

Leckeres Bier, gutes Essen, schönes Ambiente und superfreundlicher Service. Wir waren begeistert.

Schöner Gast-Garten. Bier gut, Essen (hatten kalte Platten) sehr gut. Wie waren 9 Personen und hatten hier eine gute, und lustige, Jausn.

War alles super, Essen hat richtig gut geschmeckt und Bier war einfach lecker 😋

Die Käsespätzle schmecken nach Creme Fraiche, nicht nach Käse, mittelmäßig. Salatsauce wässrig, ohne Geschmack. Bier ist gut!
