This time we just had something to drink. Service was friendly, but could be a little more attentive.

Great selection of fresh and delicious food for breakfast. Lots of space and friendly service.

Actually everything is good but €6.40 for a juice spritzer is a disgrace. The calculation should urgently be adjusted, for that price I'd rather go somewhere else!

Even though the tables are free, we are made to wait in front of the door. Apparently the employees are not interested in sales.

Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience with the drinks. In cocktails and long drinks, add ice to the top of the glass and after two steeps the glass is empty. This is how you make money with drinks...We definitely won't be leaving our money here again!

The ambience and the overall is really nice. But unfortunately the burger was not as good as expected!

We came to have something because my brother insisted that it's coffee. I don't consider it to be a coffee but everything was very delicious. As a curious detail, the waiter looked like Maccully Culkin's brother (I don't know if it's spelled that way but he's the baby from Home Alone). Very nice too. We will surely return to have coffee

We went to Alex for breakfast and were allowed to take our dog with us. There is plenty of space between the tables and you won't be disturbed by your neighbors. There are branches with much more limited space. The buffet was huge and was regularly checked and filled by the employees. Someone kept coming by the table and asking in a friendly manner. The price was right too. Overall, we felt very comfortable here and from what the other guests observed, they did too :-).

My feel-good place in Nuremberg! Heard they're remodeling soon! I'm very excited about the result!

A shop for all hours of the day. In the morning it has a buffet where you can eat as much as you want for €15 and the SC for €20. It is open until 12 at night which is rare for Germany.

Very rude staff, laughing at us because we asked how much time we had to wait.Avoid at all costs.

1.a. The burger was not fresh at all and was overcooked I couldn't eat it all. 1.b.The main course Piccata Milanese the chicken dry and generally tasteless 2. (Wrong order) I ordered regular fries with mayonnaise and received sweet potatoes with ketchup. 3. I did not receive a receipt. 4. In general, the food was bland 5. The atmosphere is nice, I would recommend you to go only for drinks. The food is not worth it!

Mice play under the tables as if they were pets

I don't know what the requirements are at ALEX to hire a suitable bartender, but apparently the requirements are pretty low if the bartender can mess up a cocktail like that. On January 3rd, my husband and I visited the ALEX restaurant. Since my husband had several years of bartending experience, he ordered a New York Sour (cocktail). If you look at the pictures and the recipe you can see that something went wrong in the cocktail that the bartender mixed for us. A poor or completely missing layering (as it should actually be), and the taste is not compatible with other restaurants or real recipes. After we complained and returned the cocktail because everything went wrong even visually (see the picture and compare the picture on the restaurant menu alone), our waitress came with the statement: “So the bartender and the shift manager said that it was with us “If it’s mixed like that, you obviously don’t like it” I couldn't believe what I was hearing, in my opinion it's very disrespectful to make such statements to the guest. Luckily my husband was allowed to choose something new, but in my opinion such unfriendly treatment of the guests is unacceptable. It's human to make a mistake and not everyone gets all the drinks perfect right away, but you also have to be able to learn, which you apparently aren't here. You would expect better for the price, but then you would rather go somewhere else where it would be justified. Well, once visited and that's enough after such poor treatment. Always enjoy going to Alex for breakfast or brunch. Nice service, delicious food. A place to feel good.

This store is the biggest piece of trash. Waiters are very, very unfriendly and rude. I really don't recommend anyone to go there because the service is a 0 out of 10.

Very tasty Sunday brunch with a large selection of different ingredients, refilled at any time. Our waitress Nicole was particularly attentive and nice! Clear recommendation!

We were here on New Year's Eve. The buffet was great, I can especially recommend the venison goulash. The waiter was also attentive and you never had to wait long for your drink. What I didn't like, however, was the fact that ten of us were seated at three small tables that are enough for six, maximum eight people. Unfortunately, that made it quite narrow.

It didn't even deserve a star because of the rude behavior/tone when greeting. Reservations have already been made for a JGA two weeks in advance. When you arrived, you weren't even able to pronounce your name correctly and were told off with a simple "NO". We asked you to please check again. With an annoyed look and a loud sigh she left and came back with a loud "NO". No explanation whatsoever, let alone an apology! We stood there like the biggest idiots and decided on a more suitable location for the JGA, which wasn't easy with a large number and at short notice. Mistakes can happen but the receptionist is definitely in the wrong place. There seems to be no value placed on politeness, respect and good service here. The store definitely saw me and my girls for the first and last time!

The ambiance is inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal. However, I ordered a burger, and while the presentation was good, the patty itself was a bit dry, which detracted from the overall flavor. The side dishes were satisfying and fresh, but the main star of the dish, unfortunately, fell short of expectations.

During the Christmas market there are no cards outside or inside with the mulled wine on offer. My family members ordered something outside on December 17th and I got some mulled wine from the Christmas market. Of course I was asked to leave the restaurant. My request to buy a mulled wine from Alex and not drink my drink at the same time was ignored. My family and I have been customers for years and will never set foot there again!!!!!!

Während dem Weihnachtsmarkt sind keine Karten draussen und innen mit dem Glühweinangebot zu finden. Meine Familienmitglieder haben sich etwas am 17.12 bestellt , ich habe mir vom Weihnachtsmarkt einen Glühwein geholt. Ich wurde natürlich angesprochen das Lokal zu verlassen. Mein Wunsch einen Glühwein von Alex zu kaufen und mein Getränk gleichzeitig nicht zu trinken, wurde ignoriert. Meine Familie und ich waren jahrelange Kunden, werden keinen Fuss mehr dahin setzten!!!!!!

It is right in the center, we sat inside. It is useful to make a reservation and go. The atmosphere and the attention of the staff were very nice. We ordered vegan tomato soup, Schnitzel Classic, Fish&Sweet Potato Fries, Pasta Plate for food. We ordered Pornstar Martini and Rotbier for drinks. We were very pleased with all of them, especially the beer was very delicious. There is no elevator, you have to climb the stairs, it can be a little difficult if you have a baby like us.

Nice view to the main market in Nuremberg. A good stop to get warm during the Christmas Market. Perfect stop for hot drinks and delicious churros sensational filled with custard and dipped in chocolate. Very friendly service despite of very busy environment.

Food was very tasty and beautifully prepared. One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I would like to give the service 6 stars. Really very nice staff. Ambience also very good and lots of space in the restaurant. The only thing to complain about is the price-performance ratio. But overall a very good restaurant.👍👍👍👍

managed to come 13/12/2024 as early as i can unfortunately been chased out by the owned himself due to NO reservations. The website doesn’t allowed placing a reservations worst than LV & dIor cafe. Maybe wise as always been underestimated Asean NO Money

We enjoyed mulled wine and Kaiserschmarren with a great view of the Christmas market. Delicious. The service was courteous and quick. The interior design is great and you feel very comfortable despite the many guests. Only the toilets are a disaster (unfortunately not the first time). Hence one star less.

Brunch buffet was hearty and the staff was reasonably friendly. There was a bird flying around inside while we were having brunch, which was a bit disconcerting. Having said that if the weather was warm, I’m sure the large bay glass doors would have been open and we all would have been very happy to see nearby foul.

Very tasty and rich buffet that is always refilled quickly. It's always a little noisy on weekends. I can recommend Monday because you can still get the extras from the weekend if there is anything left over.

Restaurant is very central, our waitress was also very friendly. I ordered a schnitzel with fries and salad. The fries and the salad were okay, but the schnitzel tasted like frozen schnitzel and was therefore nothing special, which is actually a shame because I like eating schnitzel.

I was deeply disappointed. Despite my long-standing loyalty as a guest - I have visited the restaurant at least over 50 times - I was denied access to the toilet. In freezing temperatures of 0 degrees and pouring rain, I politely asked three employees to use the toilet, even for a fee of 2 euros, because I have health problems. The answer was a rude “no, you’re not going anywhere. The boss said no” in broken German. (I am a foreigner myself for anyone who thinks I have racist intentions) My reference to my health emergency and my regular visits was shrugged off. When I announced that I would never come back, I only received an indifferent “then don’t come.” Such disrespectful and unfriendly treatment of guests is unacceptable. I will not visit this cafe again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

We spontaneously went to Alex for the breakfast buffet. I had thick, long black hair in my scrambled eggs, the cocoa was lukewarm, so a waitress put the cocoa in the microwave for me instead of just bringing a new one, and a bird was flying around in the restaurant. After we pointed this out to the waitress, she said: “We have the bird in the restaurant every day - it comes and goes, unfortunately we can’t do anything about it.” After the hair in the scrambled eggs, my appetite was anything but existent, so I went out hungry. There were no apologies or compensation. Absolutely not recommended and for me the first and last visit!

Expensive and crowded. Probably because of the location. On a Friday night you need to be lucky to get a table. The service was fast despite all the people. Only to pay took a lot of time. Nice view. I wish my bowl had more Salmon. There was probably 30grams... Which is not enough

Unfortunately very disappointed! Recently the food hasn't even been lukewarm anymore and when I spoke to it the lady became unfriendly. The lady didn't want to exchange my water bottle either (she brought me plain water) even though it was unopened and hadn't been touched (the colleague said it wouldn't have been a problem, 7€ poured down the drain) While we were eating, our plate was pushed aside more than once (even though we were eating) to get to empty glasses/plates instead of asking us if we could please give it or something similar. The rolls were definitely not fresh! Were there at 9 a.m. when it opened and you couldn't even cut the rolls because they were so hard. We really enjoyed being there but today was definitely the last time! Shame about the money.

We've enjoyed coming here for years. Unfortunately today was another failure. It's not what it used to be. Bacon, for example, was empty after half an hour. It took another half an hour for something to be refilled. Lunch was no longer warm but COLD. The new employees don't really listen... bring the wrong drinks and won't take them back. The waitress comes while we are all eating and simply pushes our plates (we are currently eating them) to the side so that she can reach a glass, for example. You don't do it. I don't want to eat someone else's fingers in mine. Thanks

Everything was great - as always. Unfortunately too crowded on Sunday mornings. Then it gets loud and uncomfortable.

We ate a Cesar wrap and a schnitzel with mushrooms. The quantity was more than enough and the service was very nice. We would definitely visit the restaurant again.

Delicious for breakfast there during the week. It is advisable to reserve on bridge days. Very centrally located on the 1st floor. Sufficient places available. Price & performance was right. Gladly again in the Alex chain.

Big potion, fair price. The slow-cook steak was so good but another one so sticky so i recommend slow cook! Staff some of them not nice and ignore us so we called them 3 times to pay😅 but some staff are nice too , very good view on top you can see the nice view at square market

There were 6 of us at Alex Nuremberg on Saturday evening. The service was very attentive at the reception and spontaneously assigned us to a table with a high chair. The Caesar wrap and the fries were tasty, but the portion of fries was a bit too small and one half of the wrap contained NO chicken meat AT ALL, so I was only allowed to bite on the salad and sauce, which was absolutely not okay given the general price structure is. There's a 2 star deduction for that. Otherwise, the drinks and food came very quickly and everything was very tasty overall. Thank you.

The ambience and food are great but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The waitresses prefer to stand together and chat instead of checking whether their guests are satisfied. Even when we wanted to pay, we had to speak to several waitresses until the fourth finally came to collect.

Was here with my girlfriend for dinner. Got a spot spontaneously. Had a Jägerschnitzel that was really tasty 😋 Only the service left a little to be desired. It took 3 attempts before you could order something to drink or get the bill.

Spontaneously got a spot without a reservation with two children during the week in the evening. Very friendly and quick. The food was very good. New menu with different dishes since our last visit. It's worth trying the new dishes.

Since we were at Alex in Leipzig and Dresden, we visited our local Alex in Nuremberg today. We weren't disappointed! Food was very tasty and the service was friendly and quick. Will stop by more often now and enjoy.

We were here today around 7 p.m. after making a spontaneous reservation by phone because we liked the menu on the way home. Our waiter “Muri” was very attentive and nice, freed up a table for us and brought a chair for the baby. He responded very well to our older child's wishes without causing any conflicts (son is autistic). We didn't have to wait long for food or drinks and it was worth it. My partner's fried potatoes were really tasty and my sauce for the currywurst - my new number 1! While we were collecting the money, we were able to chat briefly with Muri, which is usually difficult when things are going well, but at no point did the entire team give us the feeling of being rushed or that they just wanted to deal with us. We'd love to come back!
