Had brunch here today, great start to the day, big selection and always filled, Always my pleasure

Delicious food, a specialty is also the homemade lemonade, but also very great right on site, great vegetarian selection, something for everyone.

The ketchup and salt for the fries cost extra, which is good service.

Breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff were very nice and friendly - high praise

We love our Alex dearly and deeply. We probably go there once a month for brunch and whenever we're in town we have lunch there. I can't count how many times we went there, but every time the food was excellent. Unfortunately it has become a bit expensive. We were still able to visit the planetarium last night at 10 p.m. and I wasted €80 for three people. But the selection of drinks, including drinks, is great and the service, even though it is sometimes very busy, is always there relatively quickly. You can have brunch there, you can sit inside, you can sit outside towards the main market and there are also nice, large tables and seating for several people at the back. The food is incredibly varied. I always like to eat a curry there. I can only recommend this to Alex.

Had schnitzel, specials and a glass of wine. Super nom nomsig, great, fast service. Perfect.

Wow, bottomless brunch buffet was amazing. Every possible breakfast/brunch food beautifully presented, professional friendly staff and all in the centre of Nürnberg. Absolutely perfect start to the day 🙂

Close to the square in Nurnberg, it is a nice place where you can eat world cuisine etc.

Wonderful location overlookibg large square with beautiful outdoor balcony views & a very attractive interior. Food was quite good, tasty & well prepared. Problem was with the service. After our Server presented us with our entrees, she never returned to our table. We finished eating & then sat there for some 25 minutes. No one came to remove our plates or ask us if we wanted something else. We gave up waiting, hunted her down, whereupon she told us to find someone else to ask for a bill. We went to the cashier & managed to pay & leave. Never in our lives have we experienced such appalling service.

I chose this restaurant from the recommendation of a friend. I probably would’ve given it a one except the servers were lovely. I ordered the schnitzel. The french fries were out of a bag. The schnitzel was out of a bag and dry. The salad I had to send back because half the leaves were rotten. :-(

Despite the crowds, we were able to get a free table on the terrace. There were heaters so it was still comfortable to sit outside later. The service was top; Our order was taken and executed in a friendly and quick manner.

Food and service was excellent until the waitress gave us the side eye when we declined to take the leftovers as we had no way to refrigerate or reheat leftovers in our hotel. Plates were cleared. No further visits to the table for 20 more minutes at which time she seemed surprised we wanted the check.

I reserved a table for mother's day and my wife was extremely happy. The service was great with the friendly staff. I had their steak rare and it was perfectly cooked. The cocktails are mixed very well, and we were able to enjoy the sunshine during lunch. The back patio is a better seating area more spread out than the seats overlooking the square.

The food came very quickly and the price-performance ratio was great. The chicken wrap is particularly recommended. The service was very friendly and attentive. The parasols needed to be replaced and were very dirty. You have a wonderful view from the terrace.

The waitress wanted to take our order, when we wanted to say something, she immediately went to her colleagues after a second with rolling her eyes and clicking her tongue and saw how they looked at us while we were talking and then laughed. This wasn't the first time the waitress had done something like this, even though we were the customers, we were treated disrespectfully! We then stood up and complained, but the person we complained to boldly told us to our faces that they didn't talk about us and disrespectfully said, "We're sorry, we're happy." Even though she wasn't with them, she claims that they didn't talk about us, even though we saw it with our own eyes. As a customer we were laughed at and lied to. Since this had happened before with the same waitress, we still gave it a chance, but now we're just hurt because we were treated like that even though we enjoyed coming here...

It was actually quite ok there recently, but the way the staff is addressed is really bottom drawer. I just heard how a man said to two young women if you didn't want to do anything then you could go behind the wall and earn money there on your own. That's a no-go. I would have loved to get up and pull it out and show a little respect.

Sunday breakfast/brunch was OK. Expected more warm food for the price. Unfortunately, the drinks prices here are now more than overpriced! We generally liked it better before...

We came here for brunch on Mother's Day and were completely satisfied. The selection at the buffet is very good - there should be something for everyone: rolls, sausage, cheese, spreads, yoghurt, muesli, salads, egg dishes, soup, main courses... Drinks are extra, the price is within the usual range. What is particularly worth mentioning is the extremely friendly service - you immediately feel at home. When the weather is nice, you can also sit outside, either on the terrace with a view of the main market or in the inner courtyard - although a few plant pots would add more atmosphere here.

The employee was very friendly and willing to help. The vegetarian food was also delicious

We were caught at closing time in other places and only found this one that closed later. The food was good and reasonably priced

It's really a very nice place to go out for a meal or a drink with friends/family. The ambience, service and food/drinks are always very satisfactory. Likewise, the prices are absolutely fine. I like to go there often and recommend it to all of my friends when they visit Nuremberg.

This place is in a great location in the city. But that is about it, the food was just okay and the service was friendly however, improvements could of been made

Today we are Alex for 8 people, What happened is we found a seat and then a server came inside immediately, very very unfriendly, we had a seat outside and the guy very unfriendly told us without a note somewhere in the table that there was a reservation and more...we didn't like that talk That's why we'll never go again Alex, unfortunately I don't give a star because we've never had such unfriendly service staff, unfortunately no go restorant. Smoking is allowed on the terrace, the door is open, everything smells of cigar smoke. I don't want to passively rough it and that's why I won't be coming back.

Were there for brunch on Sunday, reservation worked out great, large selection available and constantly being refilled, attentive and very nice staff, price-performance ratio is right, all in all just perfect, thumbs up 👍.

20€ burger and fries. Paid €7 extra for the sweet potato fries and that was the puniest portion I've seen. Can you roughly do that? Compare McDonald’s small fries. Really bold. Not worth eating there, overpriced and stingy The waiter was also impatient and couldn't let us look at the menu in peace. As a waiter you should check when the guest wants to order.

It's always good at the breakfast buffet

Despite the restaurant being quite full, we still managed to get a seat. The service was quick and friendly and we enjoyed the food. The cocktails were delicious. However, the small side salad is very small and more of a greeting from the kitchen. To be fair, we were made aware of this when ordering. Thank you for so much honesty 👍

Unfortunately, we have been falling for the great location and the beautiful ambience over and over again for years, but: The food is and has never been good: Guacamole is not made with fresh avocados on site Falafel are dry and like ready-made mixes Asia bowl without seasoning, mango protection tastes like mango concentrate from a can, rice is clearly unseasoned but also without fragrance, edamame are slapped directly on the plate.... Cauliflower fried for that price: only tastes like fat and eggs but not cauliflower The curry is bland and tastes of spice mixtures and coconut milk from the wholesale market etc... So unfortunately the food is really a waste of money

Absolute recommendation!!! Extremely delicious food, had a bowl and absolutely loved it. Everything fresh and delicious. And great service, always a smile on your face, attentive and super personable!! I'd be happy to come back!!!

We were in the restaurant this evening but were unfortunately spoken to by an employee in a very unfriendly and impolite tone. That's why we left the restaurant immediately.

Unfortunately, the waiter ignored us despite eye contact and hand signals; He preferred to go chat to his colleague at the next table. Only after waiting for about 20-25 minutes did we have the chance to speak to the waiter so that we could order something... but due to time constraints, we only had one drink each. P.S. After our tour we went to the Café & Bar Celona Nuremberg around the corner... super delicious! and the store was packed and we were still served quickly. Top! Great alternative!

Unfortunately really high prices. No matter whether it's food or drink. The relationship no longer fits

We arrived at Alex around 3:30 p.m. today with 6 people and two children. We also found a place on the edge of the terrace and pushed two tables together so that there was enough space for everyone. We were happy until then, then the service staff came, who were very unhappy because we allowed ourselves to push two tables together without being assigned a table and without permission. We were greeted in a very unfriendly manner and told that this wasn't possible and that we should register first before we simply choose a place and then move tables ourselves. We then changed locations. In my opinion, definitely not recommended. Unfriendly, incapable, inflexible, not hospitable, children are not welcome. It's better to go two or three streets further to a renowned restaurant, where you will receive a very warm welcome as a guest. Apparently Alex can do without sales from families with children.

Unfortunately, everything at Alex is becoming more expensive and the portions are getting smaller and smaller. A pity.

We were there for breakfast. Value for money was good, food was delicious, selection was plentiful. It was also relaxed since we were there during the week. We had super nice service. We'll definitely do it again soon.

The food and drink quality here couldn't stay consistent, sometimes good, sometimes bad. I stopped coming here for a while cause of that. However this week whatever they did or changed seems to work way better than before. Hopefully it stays this way.

Location: conveniently located in the middle of Nürnberg. Huge inside area, there is also a lovely terrace outside from where you can overlook a big square. We were sitting inside, close (not next to it) to the buffet. Honestly, it wasn’t a nice atmosphere, people were walking the whole time up and down next to us. I guess if you sit a bit further away from the buffet Service: I went there during the weekend for buffet breakfast. Not much service, only for drinks. Friendly, not extremely attentive, but overall fine. Seemed like not enough employees for the amount of guests. Quality: food quality for a buffet was fine. Coffee could have been better though.

A cute spot to eat lunch or breakfast close to The Frauenkirche. We enjoyed their coffee, teriyaki salmon bowl and hummus. It has a nice view of the plaza as well. The staff are nice and welcoming even for tourist.

The two of us ate at Alex, but unfortunately we were disappointed by the choice of food and the restaurant. It is very loud in the store and unfortunately not as designed as expected for Alex. The menu selection is also very poor for an Alex restaurant, especially if you are used to the other restaurants. Price performance is okay, but for €4.10 you get fewer fries than with a medium McDonalds portion. And a simple hamburger costs just €13. The table was also very small and the seating was very unsuitable. The service employees were nice but unfortunately very stressful. Unfortunately for us it is no longer worth visiting.

Situato in una bella posizione sopraelevata che permette un´ ampia e gradevole vista della centralissima Hauptmarkt, sede del mercatino di Natale e della Cattedrale cattolica Frauenkirche. Ampio terrazzo e location interna particolarmente amabile con staff gentilissimo. Cosa gustare? Praticamente di tutto e ad ogni ora servito con rapidita. Da provare

Staff is extremely unfriendly and demotivated to work, on top of that the water glasses were uncleaned! Hygiene is very bad here.

Atmosphere and location quite okay. The food and drink menus at our table and those next to us were very greasy😠 and you didn't want to touch them. Very crowded Ordered Kaiserschmarrn was very poor for the price.

We came on a Saturday night and 4 people were sitting at the table next to us, they were very happy, but suddenly a black-skinned employee, who pretended to be my boss, scolded the customers very badly, belittled them, shouted and shouted, and ruined their day. He had no right to do so. We were not satisfied at all.

First we had to wait in front of the entrance until we were assigned a table. Our waitress typed in my meal request but unfortunately she forgot to ask my husband what he wanted! Since a colleague intervened in our conversation because someone wanted to pay, that was of course more important! That wasn't very nice. Nevertheless, the cafe latte and the waffle with ice cream and cream ala salted caramel style were very tasty. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the sanitary facilities - it looked like a night of drinking. I would have expected more cleanliness for a place like this. But I would still recommend it, I really liked the location.

A place to go for something to eat or drink. Alex is a typical bar and restaurant. Everything was fine here so far.

I went to Alex for brunch six months ago and not much has changed since then. The buffet is rich, varied and everything is diligently refilled (unfortunately the yoghurt selection was limited to cherry and natural yoghurt). The service is (mostly) attentive and very friendly. We were very satisfied on both visits. You'll be happy to come back!

I had to wait outside in the cold for 40 minutes. It was my best friend's birthday, it was just terrible. Next time we're celebrating our birthday at the Compo Stella ice cream parlor (I've never been disappointed there) and the owner is also a cool guy

The fries and mayo was my favorite part. Other than that the steak was cooked just as I asked, could have used more salt and pepper. The drinks was amazing. My kid got chicken nuggets and they were delicious as well. Overall I would recommend this place to everyone.

An sich ganz ok für den Preis. Links auf dem Bild ein Bernsteinkäse-Preiselbeer-Kürbiskern Burger und rechts der Ugly Crazy Butchers Burger. War leider nicht mein Geschmack, viel zu viel Preiselbeer Marmelade und die Pommes auch viel zu salzig. Mein Freund war zufrieden, jedoch auch Pommes zu salzig. Leider saß auch gerade da links neben uns eine lautstarke 10er Gruppe betrunkener Jugendlicher. Bedienung war aber sehr freundlich und bemüht.

Sehr guter und netter Service. Die Auswahl ist sehr vielfältig und das Frühstück hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Eine kleine Anmerkung an den Chef bitte statten sie ihre Mitarbeiter mit moderner Arbeitskleidung aus da diese aussieht wie 1800 v.chr. 😄🙈

War hier mit meiner Freundin essen Sie hatte einen Cesar salad und ich habe einen bürger bestellt, salad war gut 👍 bis auf das trockene Fleisch der bürger hat nach nichts geschmeckt Absolut nicht zum empfehlen, das absolute Highlight war die nageltiere ( Mäuse 🐁) Mehr möchte ich auch nicht dazu sagen War einer der besten lokalen in der Stadt Leider nicht mehr meiner Meinung nach Nichts desto trotz hat die Kellnerin gutes Trinkgeld bekommen sie hat ihre Arbeit super gemacht Das Geld 💰 für das Essen kann man sich hier sparen ,,, P.s Bier schmeckt super
