Sehr schnell bedient worden. Sehr schönes Ambiente. Essen war lecker.

Ich habe zum ersten Mal Schweineschulter probiert. Sie hat meine Erwartungen völlig übertroffen – knusprige Schwarte, dickes, aber nicht fettiges Fett, saftiges Fleisch mit zartem Geschmack.

Gutes Bier, freundlicher Service.

Die Atmosphäre in der Fränkischen Weinstube war hervorragend, ein wirklich charmantes und gemütliches Lokal. Die Würste waren einfach fantastisch! Die Bedienung ließ zwar etwas auf sich warten, war aber insgesamt trotzdem gut.

Charmante Atmosphäre, freundliche Bedienung. Ich hatte ein Glas Rotwein und eine Wurstplatte mit sechs verschiedenen Sorten und Kartoffelsalat. Meine Frau hatte Schweineschulter. Beides war ausgezeichnet. Zum Abschluss gab es Apfelkuchen mit Eis und Himbeeren mit Sahne. Ich habe auch den fränkischen Grappa probiert. Lecker! 👍

Wir haben versehentlich eines unserer Rock im Park-Tickets in diesem Pub liegen lassen. Als wir 10–15 Minuten später zurückkamen, hatte ein Kellner das Ticket und verlangte 700 €, um es uns zurückzugeben. Er meinte, er habe den Barcode und würde das Ticket sonst verkaufen. Wir waren zu viert da und haben das alle mitbekommen. Als wir anfingen, Fotos vom Pub zu machen, wurde der Kellner wütend, drohte mit der Polizei und folgte uns nach draußen. Schließlich mussten wir zum Festivaleingang gehen und das Ticket gegen ein Festivalarmband tauschen. Der Kellner war ein älterer Mann mit grauen Haaren. Laut Gesetz sind 5 % Festivalgebühr üblich, und wir hätten sie auch bezahlt, aber er verlangte sofort 700 € – das Ticket hatte nur 358 € gekostet. Lasst eure Sachen bloß nicht dort liegen! Wir hatten Glück, aber mal ehrlich, was soll diese Forderung?

Schönes Ambiente-netter Kellner-bestes Essen-hervorragendes Bier! Was braucht es mehr um glücklich zu sein??

Tolle Wirtschaft zum verweilen, besonders draußen. Urig und gemütlich. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Bier schön kalt und das Essen lecker.

Sehr leckeres Essen und ein Weinkarussell.

Ich habe Schäufele bestellt, weil auf der Tafel ‚Schäufelefleisch mit Kloß 9,90 €‘ beworben wurde. Auf der Rechnung stand dann aber ‚Schäufele 19,90 €‘. Bei der Reklamation meinte er, ich hätte Schäufele und nicht Schäufelefleisch bestellt. Ich hasse solche Tricks, bei denen man ständig aufpassen muss, dass man nicht reingelegt wird. Ein wunderbarer Ort, um in das Mittelalter einzutauchen, gemütlich zu sitzen, lecker zu essen und einfach eine schöne Zeit zu verbringen. Die Atmosphäre ist wirklich besonders und sehr authentisch.

Die Weinstube fügt sich gut in die gesamte Atmosphäre ein. Das Essen ist fränkisch deftig und die Bedienung freundlich. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal. Es ist alles so, wie man es erwarten durfte.

Ein hübsches kleines Restaurant mit herrlicher Aussicht. Sowohl das Schnitzel als auch die Würstchen waren fantastisch. Ein toller Ort für eine Mahlzeit.

Verlängertes Wochenende mit den Kumpels. Zweimal Rast gemacht mit jeweils zwei Bierchen. Dazu einen Platz an der Sonne und Freundlichkeit, was will man mehr!?! Sehr zu empfehlen...

Das Bier und die Nürnberger Wurst mit Kraut und Bauernbrot sind tadellos.

Wirklich sehr gemütlich, man fühlt sich sehr wohl und alle sehr freundlich. Wurstsalat, bzw Putenstreifen Salat waren hervorragend.

Der Service war schnell und freundlich. Allerdings war ich sehr enttäuscht von dem Essen. Ich hatte eine Platte mit 3 verschiedenen Wurstarten mit Brot bestellt, das Brot (ca.4 Scheiben) hat alt geschmeckt, die Brote konnte man sich dann selber schmieren, für 15€ ist das eine absolute Frechheit. Eine extra Scheibe Brot kostet 1,50€. Die Cola war billig Cola und keine Coca-Cola.

Wir haben uns nur kurz für ein Bier hier niedergelassen. Ging problemlos, Service war gut, Ambiente auch sehr schön.

Aufgrund eines Berichts in der Zeitung über das "urige Traditionslokal" über den Abschluss der Renovierungsarbeiten hatten wir uns entschlossen, das Lokal zu besuchen. Der Wein war abgestanden und geschmacklos und der Salat eine einzige Frechheit - billiger grüner Eissalat mit jeweils 3 Scheiben Gurke, Tomate, Radieschen und Karotte, dazu geschmachloses Geflügelfleisch. Dressing haben wir erst auf Nachfrage dazu erhalten - und das ganze für 20€! Die Eingangstüre stand offen und es war kalt obwohl die Heizung unter der Sitzbank auf Hochtouren lief - wir hatten einen Tisch nicht weit vom Eingang entfernt. Und um dem ganzen die Krone aufzusetzen, gab es keine Toiletten im Lokal (diese wurden gerade noch renoviert) und man sollte die öffentlichen Toiletten auf eigene Kosten nutzten. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Wir werden definitiv nicht wiederkommen, obwohl wir aus der Gegend sind.

Ein sehr gemütliches Plätzchen im Innenhof der Kunsthandwerker! Absolut empfehlenswert.

Das Essen war kalt, aber am schlimmsten war der Service. Sie wies uns einen Platz zu, wo es ihr gerade passte. Sehr unhöflich und ironisch. Als wir schließlich bezahlen wollten, bot sie uns keine Kartenzahlung an und zwang uns, bar zu zahlen. Ohne uns zu fragen, nahm sie das Trinkgeld einfach selbst. Manchmal wollten wir gar keins geben, weil es sich nicht lohnte.

Besides not having anything for dinner, you couldn't pay by card.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at this local restaurant. It offers an enjoyable atmosphere and serves delectable German cuisine. The service was exceptional, with our server providing engaging conversation and excellent recommendations. The food was exceptional, ranging from succulent pork and savory sausage to tangy sauerkraut and zesty horseradish. The warm and flavorful mull wine complemented the meal perfectly, while my husband appreciated the diverse selection of beer. I highly recommend this establishment.

The menu was limited, and they didn't have anything left except salad. You can't pay by card, but it's not indicated anywhere in the restaurant. The staff were rude. I'm sorry, but the place is very typical and pretty, and I don't recommend it.

A very nice wine bar at the entrance to the old town. Friendly service.

In this wine bar, you can't drink wine without eating! Not even late in the evening! And they don't exactly say it in a friendly way.

To put it simply: the staff were friendly, the space and atmosphere were good, the price of the beer was normal, but the price of the food was outrageous compared to what you got. You might as well just go to the next pub to get something to eat.

Convenient brunch option in the center of Nuremberg. As it would be expected for touristic location, it is on the pricey side. Tried both Franconian and Nuremberg style sausages, they were ok, bypassed sauerkraut. Would not go out of the way to get here, but if you need a lunch place and restrooms while passing through the area, it’s fine.

The Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) and the fried onions were from a packet – not exactly a stellar performance from a hospitality standpoint. The ambiance and the previously positive reviews were what made us want to give it a try. What a shame about the ambiance.

Sorry, even though the pork shoulder tasted good here once, closing at 8 pm and turning away guests isn't even worth 1 star...

The food was excellent, especially the pizza. Highly recommended for any occasion.

The bread with our meal tasted stale, even though it was a Monday and they serve bread with almost every dish—so you could buy fresh. The draft beer wasn't from the barrel and was warm. Although we saw bottles being emptied into glasses, the waitress lied to us and claimed it was draft beer. The ambiance, food, and service were otherwise fine.

Food and service okay, price/performance good.

In previous years, we enjoyed going there to welcome my arrival in Nuremberg with Federweißer. This year, atypically, we received a sour and slightly fermented Federweißer. When I mentioned this to the waitress, we simply received the comment that everything was fine. Later, we noticed that the Federweißer had been remixed. We learned at another Federweißer stand at the autumn market that the Federweißer was probably over-aged and needed to be mixed with newer beer. (Here, the Federweißer was, as usual, sweet and delicious.) So it's a real shame that the customers weren't taken seriously. In my opinion, good customer service would have been to at least offer a new glass of freshly mixed Federweißer. There's no shame, nor should there be shame, when "mistakes" or the like are made; it's how they are handled that's much more important. Whether we'll go there again remains to be seen.

A lovely, cozy place to linger, conveniently located near Nuremberg's train station. The beer was delicious, the wine spritzer was tasty, and the "Franconian Threesome" with various spreads (clarified butter, Obatzda, etc.) was a great snack :) You've set it up really nicely. We were able to make the most of our train's delay.

Very tasty and hearty "Schäufile." The price (18€) is very reasonable.

The group meal was relatively simple. The pork shoulder was large in portion, the skin was crispy but the meat was still a bit dry. The apple donuts were delicious.

A charmingly quaint little place, like almost everything else in this area. You could also call it cute, but it's definitely cozy.

A very cute and quaint place not far from the center. We ate very well (I recommend trying the Nuremberg sausages) and the service was good, the waitress was very kind :) They also provide a menu with photos of the dishes to help you choose. A positive experience!

Very rude staff with typical arrogance, clever people: we ask if we can pay by card, the older waiter gives us the okay without saying anything else (he hadn't even told us about the small sign hidden at the front entrance that listed the minimum card payment of 20 euros, oh well). When it comes to paying, we ask the waitress if we can each pay our dues (more than 20 euros each, and we're required by law to have a receipt for the company) by card, and she arrogantly tells us no. Then, while we're trying to figure out what to do, she walks away with her usual rude attitude. He comes back, we pay, and I point out that they should write it down for transparency. He lectures me that they allow payment by POS anyway, and then very rudely walks away. If you don't know how to deal with people, stay home; you're better off there.

Cozy wine bar with delicious food and Franconian beer in the middle of the Handwerkerhof.

Schönes Lokal im Handwerkerhof Nürnberg. Wir sind im Aussenbereich gesessen und man fühlt sich tatsächlich ein bisschen in der Zeit zurückversetzt. Sehr netter Kellner, Vorspeise und Hauptgerichte waren sehr, sehr gut. Immer wieder gerne!

Im gemütlichen Aussenbereich haben wir hier unser Mittagessen eingenommen. Es war sehr lecker. Ambiente stimmt. Die Bedienung waren sehr zuvorkommend und die Speisen reichhaltig.

The Franconian Wine Bar in the Handwerkerhof is a true gem – just a stone's throw from the train station, yet wonderfully hidden in a historic setting. The small restaurant was very busy during my visit; I was lucky to even get a seat. There isn't an extensive menu, just a very small selection of authentic Franconian specialties – but they are authentic and prepared with love. The wine selection comes directly from the region, which pairs wonderfully with the food. The famous Nuremberg bratwursts are a classic here, but I opted for the Franconian Schäufele (sausage shoulder) – beautifully crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The portion was huge – definitely not for small eaters or calorie counters! The juice was also very tasty and rounded off the whole experience. All in all, a great experience if you appreciate regional cuisine in a rustic setting. A bit crowded, with lots of tourists.

Pretzels charged even though nobody ordered them 3€ extra

Too bad the sour Zipfle are sweet there, I won't order them again. Everything else was fine. Prices are just like almost everywhere else.

Cool place in the middle of the front gate area is a little bit of a tourist trap but definitely worth to step by and eat and drink something to rest for a minute. As far as dinner there are definitely better recommendations but for a snack and a quick bite to eat and drink very good

We stopped in for lunch because we were waiting for two hours at the train station. The food was okay, but unfortunately, about €13 for six Nuremberg sausages is a bit much.

A lovely wine bar in a historic part of Nuremberg. Typical Franconian dishes. I'd especially like to mention the lovely lady who served us, whose name I unfortunately don't have! She was very helpful, flexible, and friendly! We had a few special requests, all of which she accommodated. Great service

Super friendly service, good conversations with table neighbors, great atmosphere outside with a view of historic buildings.

Typical food was decent, portions a little small. Nice place inside this reconstructed medieval village. Maybe a little touristy. Good but in my opinion we paid a little too much for the quality and compared to other places.

Good Franconian cuisine with a rustic atmosphere. We looked for a nice spot outside. Very friendly service and we didn't have to wait long for the snack plate we ordered. Unfortunately a bit too much for us women but very tasty. Highly recommended.

On the last day of my city trip, I took another stroll through the picturesque craftsman's farm. I was already impressed by the traditional flair of this place, and after enjoying a cozy coffee, I discovered the inviting “Fränkische Weinstube”. I spontaneously decided to have my lunch here and found a nice place outside at a larger table - the sunny weather was just inviting. A look at the menu confirmed that traditional, meat-based dishes were offered here. As a vegetarian, I was all the more pleased to discover that even such traditional restaurants now have a heart for meat-free connoisseurs and even offer vegan options. I personally find that very commendable! I chose the cheese spaetzle. These were solidly prepared, even though I have tried spicier versions in the Black Forest that I was more impressed with. Still, it was absolutely fine. I was positively surprised by the prices, which are consistently fair for a tourist hotspot like the Handwerkerhof. Another plus point was the convivial atmosphere at the larger table. Every now and then another guest joined us, so it was easy to get into conversation and have good company. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. Eating outside, surrounded by the historic half-timbered houses of the Handwerkerhof, created a very special, impressive ambience. Personally, I really couldn't find anything to complain about here. After my visit, I absolutely cannot understand the negative reviews from other guests who claim that the location is not recommended for vegetarians or that the staff is unfriendly. My stay at the “Fränkische Weinstube” was entirely positive and I can definitely recommend it!

delicious Franconian food and beer served in a very atmospheric small building by friendly people. Prices are very fair too, especially considering the location. I would strongly recommend trying the "Schäufele", it's an amazing dish.

The food was delicious and tasted really good. The sauerkraut with the Nurembergers was, like the Nurembergers themselves, of very good quality. The ambience is cool too. There is also vegan sausage.

Excellent traditional cuisine in a characteristic place The Fränkische Weinstube is in a perfect location, in the pedestrian area near the entrance tower of the city. The place is very characteristic, with a welcoming atmosphere that recalls the Franconian tradition. The cuisine is typical of the area: I tried the sausages with potatoes, really tasty, and the dessert, all at a modest price. The beer is excellent and the service was very kind and attentive. A recommended place for those who want to taste real traditional cuisine in an authentic environment!

A little bit touristy, but coming from the UK where we also have medieval structures and castles it was quite difficult (for a foreigner) to tell how fake it was. Maybe I'm just a skeptic. Either way, the decor was lovely, food was good and the lady serving me was very nice. A good introduction to German food and drink if you've just gotten off the Hbf!

Sadly, rude service for tourists. Asked us AFTER we ordered drinks if cash was ok. We said pay by card please, was then told it’s only cash for orders under €20. Our order for 2 drinks was €10.8. We said that’s ok we will pay €20 on card and get another beer later. I went to collect the second drink and was told no, you paid €20 for two drinks. I said we didn’t pay €20 for a beer and coke, we said we’d get another beer later to make the card minimum (the three drinks we ordered were still less than €20 and only totalled €15.7 - so they were still getting more for the drinks we had). She then rolled her eyes and told me we should have had cash, as there was a sign - that was facing another direction and not in direct line of sight. If we had have been told this before we ordered we would have left.

Great wine and beer bar in the Handwerkerhof. Very friendly service. Delicious food. There was meat loaf with potato salad. All in all a great lunch in a nice atmosphere.

We went there for a glass of wine. The wine was delicious. The atmosphere is great but unfortunately I think the price is a bit high for a quarter at just under 9 euros.

Very welcoming and intimate place. We ate well and on par with the usual German restaurants in the area. Fast and efficient service. The waitress was very nice and kind. We took the typical dishes including mixed Nuremberg sausages. Worth a dinner if you are passing through.

Don't be afraid, it looks touristic but prices are affordable and service is great. We were served by a girl called Bertina (I think) and she was delightful with us, patient and always smiling. She even helped us to put on our heavy backpack.

Massively overpriced tourist trap serving pure slob. They sell the cheapest sausages (looks like Bratwurstbruch von Wenk) to unassuming tourists for a ridiculous price.

Highly recommend. The food was wonderful, the staff was nice, and it sits in the perfect location.

Food - Ordered the pork shoulder and bratwurst which were prepared well and delicious. We ordered a lager and Fraconian spirit (was strong). Service was also good and tourist-friendly, made us feel welcome and comfortable. Location was good as it was located conveniently, could explore the Old Town after and a short walk to the train station.
