Service gut, Essen gut, Aussenbereich sehr geil. Wir kommen wieder 👍🏻

Mein Mann und ich waren gestern das erste Mal im Chay und wir waren begeistert. Das Ambiente ist wahnsinnig toll, der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam und von dem Essen will ich gar nicht erst anfangen. Es war so unglaublich lecker. Sich endlich mal keine Gedanken machen müssen, was man auf der Speisekarte denn essen könnte - ein Traum. Jetzt muss man wohl eher überlegen, was man isst, weil alles so lecker klingt. Die hausgemachten Limonaden waren ebenfalls äußerst köstlich. Parkplätze sind reichlich im Hof vorhanden und es war auch einfach möglich spontan einen Platz für 2 zu bekommen (allerdings waren wir an einem Donnerstag Abend, noch weiß ich nicht wie voll es am Wochenende ist). Danke liebes Chay-Team - wir kommen bald wieder 🫶🏻

Köstliches Essen! Die Frühlingsrollen und das hausgemachte Eis (Durian! Unbedingt probieren!) waren wirklich lecker. Ein großes Lob an das Personal, das an einem Tag mit fast 40 Grad unglaublich hart gearbeitet hat, um die gesamte Terrasse so schnell wie möglich zu bedienen!

Ich war schon häufig dort. Das Essen ist immer super lecker, die Bedienungen immer freundlich und das Ambiente im Biergarten ist jedes Mal wieder super.

Wir waren schon des Öfteren hier und sind mit dem Essen immer Zufrieden gewesen - die Auswahl ist vielseitig und die Zubereitung geschmackvoll 👍🏼 nur war leider die Küche etwas unorganisiert und die Wartezeit war heute leider etwas zu lange 🤪 hoffentlich war das nur ein kurzer Engpass und der Service & Wartezeit erlangt wieder das gute Niveau, welches es mal hatte - drücken euch die Daumen 👍🏼

Wir sind nur durch Zufall vorbei gekommen und wurden sehr positiv überrascht. Es gibt asiatisch-bayrisch veganes Essen und alles schmeckt frisch und hausgemacht. Wir hatten das vegane Schnitzel (tolle Chilimayo und köstlicher Gurkensalat) und eine Bowl mit Udon, Tempeh (tolle Marinade) und Frühlingsrollen mit frischem Gemüse gefüllt. Zum Abschluss gabs hausgemachtes Eis. Leider wohnen wir nicht in der Nähe, sonst wären wir bestimmt Stammgäste!

Was für ein toller Fund! An der Endhaltestelle der Straßenbahnlinie 8 Richtung Osten, noch in Zone 200, erwartete uns dieses Juwel von einem Restaurant mit einladender Atmosphäre, einer großen Auswahl an Gerichten und einer wunderschönen Holzeinrichtung. Der Service war exzellent. Es wurde Englisch und Deutsch gesprochen. Die Speisekarte war zwar auf Deutsch, aber das Personal oder Google Translate konnten sie übersetzen. Leider war kein Platz mehr für ein Dessert – ein guter Grund, wiederzukommen! 😋

Essen war super lecker. Sogar mein 6 jähriger Sohn hat das vegane schnitzel gegessen ohne zu motzen. Service war höflich und nett,ich war aber nur zum abholen dort.

Tolle vegane Speisekarte! Wir haben schon wirklich viele Speisen probiert und bisher war alles wirklich lecker. Auf Unverträglichkeiten wird hervorragend reagiert & individuelle Empfehlungen ausgesprochen.

Nicht wundern das Lokal ist in einem Wirtshaus, Parkplätze gibt es hinten im Hof reichlich. Tolle Auswahl an Gerichten, werden schön präsentiert, für den Preis könnten die Portionen aber deutlich größer sein. Personal ist freundlich, aber kann nicht wirklich gut mit Reklamationen umgehen. Hatten einen Mojito bestellt, welcher absolut nach nichts geschmeckt hat, dann hat man versucht mit Alkohol aufzugießen und hat dann einfach Zucker reingeschüttet. Dem Kellner war scheinbar nicht bewusst das sich Zucker in einem kalten Getränk nicht auflöst und somit keine Verbesserung bringt. Anstatt das Gepanschte einfach zurück zu nehmen und was anderes anzubieten, haben wir ihn dann eben behalten und natürlich auch bezahlt. Fand ich nicht gut, hätte man definitiv besser lösen können.

Gerade aufgegessen(mein 2tes mal rein Vegan essen gegangen) und das Essen war ein absolutes Gedicht👌🏽 vor allem waren es echt große Portionen. Nur zu empfehlen und das mit sehr guten Gewissen🥳

Wir waren dort auf einem Date und das Essen war köstlich! Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Essen war sehr gut. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Einziges ist das Ambiente das zu einer Asiatischen Küche so gar nicht passt (eher historischer Gasthof mit viel Balken usw.) Was mich auch sehr gestört hatte, dass sind die im desolaten Zustand sich befindliche Fensterläden (Farbe blättert ab). Bei gutem Wetter ist der Biergarten sehr schön.

In einem schönen alten Gasthaus versteckt sich - nur mit einem Banner gekennzeichnet - dieses Vegane Juwel. 17:30, Donnerstag, alles frei. Trotzdem dauert es knapp 7 Minuten bis wir Bedient wurden. Die Tische ohne Dekorationen bieten viel Platz zum ausbreiten, was bei der schönen Auswahl zum Ausprobieren einlädt. Auch wenn die Pilze sowohl im Tempura frittiert, wie auch zu den Udon Nudeln gebraten sehr fettig waren, muss man ein großes Lob aussprechen. Alles wirkte frisch, schmeckte sehr lecker und war auch gut Gewürzt. Wünsche wie kein Koriander waren kein Problem und die Hausgemachten Limonaden waren sehr fein. Da nur begrenzt Platz im Bauch war, blieb noch viel für die nächsten Besuche übrig, worauf wir uns schon jetzt sehr freuen! Achja, es gab bei unserer Ankunft nur einen freien Parkplatz, aber es hält direkt daneben eine SBahn und Straßenbahn - sicherlich entspannter als Parkplatzsuche. Preislich nicht billig, aber vollkommen fair für das Angebot. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch!

Tolles Personal. Große Auswahl an Speisen, absolut tolles Essen!!!

Wirklich sehr lecker! Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal dort und ich habe ein Schnitzel in Rahmsoße gegessen. Ich hätte gerne eine Hausgemachte Limo getrunken, die war mir mit 7,5€ aber etwas zu teuer. Portionen waren sehr gut, alle nett, wir kommen wieder.

Waren das erste Mal dort. Wir sind keiner Veganer,sind auf Empfehlung hin. Bin begeistert, essen war sehr gut. Sehr netter service.leider zu kalt zum draußen sitzen aber innen ist auch sehr gemütlich.

Das Essen wie zum Beispiel die Udon Nem Nudeln waren wirklich super lecker! Aber auch das Sushi und Gyoza kann ich nur empfehlen! Mehr hab ich leider noch nicht probiert! Ich komme gerne wieder.

Wir waren so oft schon hier weil Service und Qualität der Speißen einfach Top Tier sind. Allerdings waren wir IMMER im Außenberreich. Das Ambiente im inneren Restaurant passt einfach null komma null zu dem was serviert wird. Es ist einfach ein altes Deutsches Restaurant Innen. Die Speisen sind so genail lecker und Top. Wenn ich könnte wäre ich jeden Tag dort zum Essen. Klare Empfehlung für Veganer und alle anderen Menschen. Hier schmeckt es und die Portionen sind groß.

A very unassuming restaurant, but it's got what it takes! We only had time for a quick stop and weren't very hungry, so we just ordered a portion of fries, a soda, and a tea. The ginger tea was delicious, and the Cheaky Peach soda was very refreshing. The fries? Well, I've rarely had such good fries. Seriously. The fries alone deserve 5 out of 5. It's right on the main road, but super quiet, and despite the old-looking building, it's very warm. In short: Unfortunately, it's very inconspicuous; you're more likely to find it through Google Maps. Perhaps a new sign would be a good idea in the future. Otherwise, very good value for money.

The food at Chay Vegan was incredibly delicious and special in the best possible way! A great place and highly recommended :)

Very cozy. It was very interesting to see what went into the dishes e.g., a vegan pork knuckle 😃 and a huge selection of homemade lemonades

This was our first time at Chay, and we were really looking forward to the food and the concept, as it's not always easy to find good vegan options. The atmosphere was charming, and the service was initially good. The appetizers (KFS and Tempura Mix) were delicious, and the portions were quite generous. Unfortunately, we didn't like the vegan roast and pork knuckle at all. Neither the seitan nor the toppings were seasoned, and the sauce was very bland. The seitan also had a really spongy texture. In the end, we sent back more than half of our main course portions. We weren't asked if we liked it or not. After that, we couldn't find any staff for 30 minutes to pay. When we finally managed to get someone to let us know, we waited another 20 minutes before we could pay... and even then, no one asked if everything was alright or anything like that. It's quite possible that the Asian dishes are better, but the Bavarian version was simply not good for us. Therefore, we unfortunately will not be coming again, even though we really liked the concept.

A very beautiful historic building. Delicious food, slightly mildly spiced, large portions, and all vegan. It was also great that the place was specially chosen for us dog owners. You feel very welcome there. Highly recommended!

Definitely my favorite restaurant. We come as often as we can. There's almost always a free table. On hot summer days, the shady, cozy courtyard is ideal. I can't comment on the German dishes, as I always choose an Asian dish. But they never disappoint. I don't know of a better vegan restaurant and I'm so glad Chay exists! A great addition to vegan cuisine!

It is by far the best vegan restaurant in Nuremberg. It wasn't easy to discover at first, as it's located in a former traditional German restaurant. The food is varied and delicious. The menu has a wide selection, and food intolerances are catered for. The service is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The only irritating thing was the more than 10 free tables that were reserved, and no one sat at them the entire evening, while we were given a kid's table. Due to the summer months, our experience was limited to the garden.

We were thrilled. The lemonades are a dream. I had the Korean Lover, which was really pleasantly spicy. The beng beng beetroot with beetroot tempeh was fantastic. Everything was beautifully presented ☺️ I wanted to try the pickled lotus root, but I won't order it again. I'll also be ordering the "Chai on Fire" dessert with a caramel coating again. 😍

Very good vegan food. I had the Korean Lover, which was great. Lots of flavor and not too spicy. The tempeh topping won't be my favorite, but everyone has different tastes. The other dishes were also impressive, and the portions were quite generous. The interior could benefit from a bit of a stylistic overhaul. It's still the Goldener Stern, sober and "homely." But the seating is comfortable and not too cramped.

Unfortunately, we had to wait an hour and 25 minutes for our food, which rules out a second visit. The dishes were good and tasty, but could have used a little less oil.

My new favorite restaurant ☺️ The food here is super delicious, everything on the menu is completely vegan, and the prices are more than fair. Vegans finally don't have to make any compromises here :) PS: Be sure to try the vegan ice cream, it's incredibly good 🍨

My husband and I keep coming here to order the udon noodles because they're so incredibly delicious. We also keep trying new dishes from the menu, and everything tastes delicious. All dishes are freshly prepared.

We've been here three or four times in the last six months, and I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff is always super friendly, the ambiance is really nice, and the food isn't exceptional but consistently very good, and the value for money is also really good. So, I highly recommend it.

Very nice beer garden and super delicious food!

We really enjoyed it. We were here for a special occasion and were able to sit in the beautiful beer garden, which is still pleasantly cool and shady even in the high temperatures. We were served quickly and hardly had to wait, even though there were several other guests. We enjoyed all the dishes, especially the starters with their delicious sauces (sushi, enoki pancakes). We also had homemade lemonade, which is a bit pricey at €7.50, but it was incredibly refreshing and delicious. We definitely found the value for money to be excellent, and we'll definitely be back.

Visually, I find Chay Vegan Kitchen appealing. It's a former classic Bavarian restaurant, now converted to vegan. It's cozy. The service was friendly. We had to wait a relatively long time for our food. The sushi was delicious, but it fell apart easily; it was difficult to handle. One disappointment was the amount of food. Considering you're easily paying €16 for a main course, it won't fill everyone up. My husband had a starter (€7) + main course (€16) + sushi (€12) and wasn't full afterward. Spending so much money on food and not feeling full afterward is unacceptable... But the food was definitely delicious.

Food was delicious and very flavorful. A definite delight for vegetarians. However, service was very disappointing and disheartening. We were the only guests in the restaurant on a weekday lunch. And while we were eating, we were requested to pay as the servers needed to go on a break. We had to stop eating, walk inside to pay and then come back to finish our meal, without anyone from restaurant around us. Appalling! Their rating is a 3 only because of the service (individual rating - 1), an unjust rating as the food is delicious !

We came across this restaurant purely by chance. And very impressed by the friendly and courteous staff as well as the tasty food. The card offers a great mix vegan home cooking and Asian cuisine to. The prices are also justified. All in all, always a great experience :)

The sushi creations are awesome! We tried one variety from each variation and were completely satisfied. The sushi is definitely fresh and tasted very good. I'll be back to try more varieties.

Been here for the first and probably last time. I tried the “lamb-style” meatloaf, but unfortunately it didn’t taste good at all. The consistency was terrible, slimy. I couldn't eat. In addition, the description of the dish ultimately was not what was on the plate. We're talking root vegetables and potato crust here. In the end there were neither root vegetables nor potato crust (that meant croquettes) on the plate. After I asked the waiter about it, he said it was a bit unclear on the menu. No accommodation regarding price. It was way too high for what I got. Unfortunately, the sentence with “x” was nothing.

The meat dish imitations are well done and totally funny. The fact that it doesn't really taste like the original doesn't matter at all, because the taste of the seitan etc. as well as the side dishes is very good. For example, I was able to finish the (really large) portion even though I usually had enough of such substitute products after just a few bites. I just think the salt content was pretty high since I got a crazy burn afterwards. The service is great, food came quickly and hot.

Pricey. But tasty with a good selection of asian dishes. The best part is that you can eat without having to worry about non-vegetarian ingredients sneaking into the food.

Ambiance was okay but had more of a German economy. The waitresses were super friendly. Unfortunately, the food was cold and the taste of the Korean lover was more like a goulash. Unfortunately, the sushi didn't taste great either. Unfortunately, the consistency of the vegan soy meat wasn't that great either. A bit disappointing especially since the restaurant was also super expensive.

The two of us came here to eat because we wanted to try out the “vegetarian roasts”. Unfortunately, neither the taste nor the consistency of the dishes was good. Since we returned our food less than halfway through and the very friendly waitress asked if it was tasty, I replied that unfortunately it wasn't tasty at all. However, this had no influence on the rather generous bill.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't my cup of tea and the vegan alternatives were sometimes poorly implemented compared to the original and therefore not well balanced in terms of taste. Unfortunately, my Nem were surrounded by a thick layer of dough and the filling also felt like a homogeneous mass in the mouth. Unfortunately, they tasted like frozen products from the supermarket. Unfortunately, the sauce/dressing for the udon was too sour, as if the mung bean sprouts were from a jar, and had little flavor apart from the marinade of the tempeh. The summer rolls were very good. The vegan lamb with beans and the potato dough croquette (?) was unfortunately an absolute disappointment. Both in terms of consistency and taste. We also had to wait a long time for the main courses.

7 euros for 1 liter of tap water, we were speechless

The restaurant is an old inn. It's a fun contrast to primarily Asian cuisine. As a vegan, an absolute recommendation! :)

I always enjoy going there, the schnitzel is tastiest, accompanied by a spritzer and the green rice ice cream for dessert, great value for money! And the kfs are great too :)

Super well located, directly accessible from the motorway - which was the perfect way for us to get good and authentic food while traveling through without having to look for a parking space in the city center. Large, completely vegan menu selection, moderate prices. The food was really delicious. We'll come back the next time we drive past Nuremberg

Gran menú y grandes bebidas, personal muy agradable. Teníamos platos principales, entrantes, desiertos y sushi. Todo era genial y delicioso. Además, podíamos pedir las limonadas sin azúcar adicional y eran geniales!

Amazing Vegan restaurant in Nuremberg. Service was amazing and it's probably a the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to. The range of food is great, from schnitzel to Asian and the portions are very generous. The Beer Garden is lovely and decorated with beautiful lanterns. It's so easy to get to, located opposite the Erlenstegen tram stop on the number 8 tram (it's the end of the line so very easy to find). If you're in Nuremberg you should definitely go!

Today, after an evening scooter tour, we went to the beer garden at Chay Vegan to finish off. We arrived shortly before 10 p.m. and were still able to order, even though the kitchen was already cleaning up. Top food, top friendly, top for EVERYTHING. Super nice beer garden. It's a real firework display for the taste buds. The food tastes very good and is also attractively presented. An absolute must restaurant for vegan cuisine. An incredible selection of starters, main courses and desserts. Their own drinks are also delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Beim Vietnamesen oder Thai ist man besser bedient, wenn man asiatisches Essen bevorzugt. Die hier praktizierte, vegane Küche mag evtl. frisch sein, schmeckt aber eigentlich nach nichts. Das geröstete Tofu verdirbt den Geschmack der Sommerrollen und passt nicht zu den Speisen - besser auf den gesamten vegangen Fleischersatz verzichten. Es gibt ein Sternchen mehr auf einen netten Aussenbereich, indem sich aber auch zahlreiche Stechmücken tummeln (Abwehrmittel unbedingt einpacken!).
