The food was delicious, no question! Portion size is reasonable as well. Points deduction for the rather slow service (we were only asked once, to take our order, what we wanted), no card payment possible and the overall rather "high" price. Two mains, two glasses of wine, 71€. No entry, no dessert

Ate a Wiener Schnitzel with potato mustard salad. Very good!

Unfortunately, the hamburger for €27.90 was bland. It didn't taste great, and the fries were very greasy. The shrimp with pinsa starter, without any seasoning, was downright boring. The Riesling at room temperature was also terrible. There was no way to chill it with ice – even when we asked – so we had to leave it there; it was inedible. It's a shame, it was much better when we were there two years ago.

We went there with the gourmet menu and ordered a Wiener schnitzel and a cordon bleu, both made with veal. Our food arrived relatively quickly. The plates weren't particularly well presented; the schnitzels were crispy, but the meat was so thin you could read a newspaper through it. The breading was all the thicker for that. Side dishes were okay. The service, probably the owner himself, could be improved: not particularly friendly, inattentive. Drinks were served at the beer garden bar, where he stood, smoking and eating. That's completely unacceptable in the public area. The wine was very good. Subsequent guests had to wait longer for their orders. Overall, the price-performance ratio isn't right. We eat out often and have had much better food for less money. Conclusion: once, never again.

Six of us ate at this restaurant. Despite having made a reservation for the six of us, no table was reserved. We were simply seated anywhere at a table for eight. The service was hopelessly overwhelmed with the usual tasks of a waiter. The bottle of wine we ordered was not restricted, and we only received a wine cooler upon request. This should be better in a wine-growing region. Our criticism was received without comment. There was a very long wait for the ordered food. It wasn't just us. The neighboring table also left after an hour of waiting. Without food... And this despite the fact that it wasn't overly busy. The portions are small and clearly presented. Everyone at the table was still hungry after eating. The value for money here is simply not right. The prices are on the high side. All in all, the restaurant isn't worth a repeat visit. On the positive side, the lovely ambiance and the terrace are good.

The pinsa is an absolute must. The fluffy pastry was absolutely amazing and truly something special. The service was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance in the vaulted room was also very nice. However, since it's not that big, a reservation for the vaulted room is definitely recommended.

There are such good restaurants in St. Martin; The barrique vault is no longer part of it - at least since last Sunday. There were four of us there, attracted by the promising website. Ambiance: fits. Food: doesn't fit at all. Greetings from the kitchen: none. That's why we ordered the Pinsa bread: four dry pieces of dough and four olives from a jar for just under 7 EUR. Cordon Bleu: dry and unseasoned (we left it). Beef tartare: mushy and over-spiced (with the garnish mixed in, an indefinable impression). Our criticism was accepted without comment. And the “highlight” at the end: no card payment. When asked about the reason for this customer-unfriendly payment service, there was no comment (“honi soit qui mal y pense,” a tax official probably thinks). It's a shame about the evening.

There were four of us and all the food was very good, the service was very attentive and friendly. If we are in the area again we will eat there again.

The food was delicious and the ambience was very nice in the great old vaulted cellar. I had pinsa salmon. The only problem was that it was quite cold and I had to put on my winter jacket... Otherwise everything was great, we would love to come back. 👍

Beautiful vaulted cellar, great atmosphere. We ordered salmon tartare and beef tartare. After 30 minutes it came. It looked delicious but the beef tartare was dark brown and totally over-seasoned. It didn't taste like tartare at all, the salmon tartare was a bit watery. It's a shame I had promised more.

Through the Schlemmerblock Neustadt and the surrounding area we came across the Barrique Vault and it was more than worth the journey from Ludwigshafen. When I entered the restaurant I could already give the first 5 stars for the ambience. The 4-person table was pleasantly large and beautifully decorated. The welcome from the service staff was super friendly and there was always a smile when taking the order, which immediately put you in a good mood in the evening. Zack and another 5 stars. As a starter there was the Mini Pinsa, which was more than delicious. For main courses we ordered a Palatinate plate, chicken with mushroom risotto and hot apple for dessert. The food arrived at a good time and just the sight of it made our mouths water. The taste was in no way inferior to the appearance and was very tasty. Another 5 stars for that. Conclusion: The prices are definitely worth the experience and we were so impressed that we will definitely visit the restaurant again. A top recommendation for me and you should reserve early. There is a small terrace for the summer.

We came across this restaurant through the Schlemmerblock. Have been guests there several times now. As soon as you make a reservation you feel absolutely welcome here. Very friendly and friendly service. The food tastes excellent and is also of very high quality. The cozy ambience rounds off a visit to this restaurant. We always enjoy coming here.

We ate at the Hotel Gernert over the weekend and then at the Barrique Vault Great selection of food and wine, all very tasty But the best thing is this incredibly nice and personable host Thank you again for a lovely evening and we will definitely be back 🤗

There were four of us with one child for dinner on Saturday evening. We received a very friendly welcome when we arrived. The excellent service continued throughout the entire evening. We have rarely experienced such exceptionally friendly service. The food was in no way inferior: great taste and very good portions. Price-performance, ambience and above all the service absolutely deserve 5 stars. We will definitely come back and can only recommend it to everyone.

We've been to St. Martin several times, but the food was exceptionally good. For me it is always worth a visit.

We ended up in the barrique vault by chance through friends on Saturday. Magical ambience, great service. The food was excellent. The red cabbage was to die for, as was the mustard potato salad. Wir waren an einem Montagabend vor Ort, allerdings erst gegenüber im Biergarten, den wir irrtümlich für den Außenbereich des Lokals hielten. Wir vermuten, dass wir nicht die einzigen waren. Es weißt explizit ein Schild vor dem Garten daraufhin, dass sich das Lokal Barrique Gewölbe gegenüber befindet. Nun denn, neuer Versuch. Der Außenbereich des Lokals befindet sich im OG, welches man über eine Außentreppe erreicht. Die Terrasse ist sehr schön hergerichtet. Wir erhielten einen Tisch am Eck zur Straße. Vermutlich werden hier in Kürze auch Pflanzen stehen. Jetzt war es leider noch etwas karg. Es gibt Hauptspeisen, Pinsen und Pfälzer Gerichte. Ich entschied mich für eine Pinsa namens Black Forest (16 Euro) und meine Freundin wählte eine Pfälzer Wildbratwurst (13,90 Euro). Die Gerichte wurden ca. 15 Minuten nach der Bestellung gebracht. Die Pinsa bestand aus einem Sauerteigfladen, welcher schön knusprig, aber etwas zu dick war. Darauf befand sich eine Creme, Knoblauch, lila Zwiebeln, Tomaten und Rucola, das Ganze wurde mit Mozzarella und Parmesan überbacken. Der Schwarzwälder Schinken wurde leider mit gebacken und war dadurch etwas trocken. Insgesamt war die Pinsa gut, ließ sich aber mit dem zur Verfügung stehenden Messer schwer schneiden. Zur Wildbratwurst, welche aus Schweinefleisch und Hirsch hergestellt wurde, gesellte sich frischer Kartoffelstampf mit etwas Butter und Knoblauch sowie Rieslingkraut und hausgemachte Bratensauce. Meine Freundin verputzte den Teller in Windeseile, nicht nur weil es ihr so gut schmeckte, auch die Fliegen waren scharf auf das Essen. Die Flasche stilles Wasser zu 0,5l wird mit stolzen 4,50 Euro berechnet. Wir wussten von der Homepage, dass nur Barzahlung geht. Als dann wie vor mindestens 10 Jahren nur mit Kellnerblock abgerechnet wurde, bin ich dann doch stutzig geworden und verlangte die Rechnung. Die Servicekraft war etwas verdutzt, vermutlich ist es vielen egal. Wie dem Beleg zu entnehmen war, wurden die einzelnen Gerichte und Getränke erst zu diesem Zeitpunkt in der Kasse erfasst. Ein Schelm, der Böses dabei denkt. Ob das Finanzamt schon mal da war?

We ate there twice with friends last week because of the great quality food and were not disappointed. The first time we made a mistake when ordering the wine. Among other things, we... Ordered a complete bottle, but unfortunately we didn't like it due to the sweetness. The bottle was taken back and exchanged without any problems with funny comments (sorry and THANKS again) The service is A++, we have never experienced anything so nice, warm and courteous - and we travel a lot... We ate there on two days in May 2024 and were completely thrilled by the team, the ambience and the excellent food. Simply great, especially if you like Palatinate specialties.

We were visiting the area and had a veal schnitzel with rösti fries. It was one of the best dishes I've eaten in the area. can highly recommend it to everyone. If you want to enjoy a good veal schnitzel, great service and a beautiful view, this is the right place for you!

We were guests twice over Pentecost with a group of 16 people. On both evenings the service and cuisine were outstanding. Despite the large table and the special requests, everything worked perfectly and we felt like we were at home with friends. Particularly noteworthy is the beef fillet Wellington!!! A nice little place. In a wine cellar, comfortably furnished. With a manageable but absolutely sufficient menu. The food was very tasty, from salad with a bit of roast beef to schnitzel or rump steak, you can find a few tasty little things here.

So, you get full marks from us because you take care of the guests, don't show any pretense, come to the guests' table and sometimes raise a glass of wine with the guests... it's just family style. We found the food extremely tasty, the Wiener Schnitzel phenomenally crispy, the mashed potatoes with a great buttery and light garlic taste. It doesn't always have to be star cuisine, it has to taste good and it has that, otherwise we wouldn't have come so often. 100% recommended - great food, great atmosphere and above all first class hospitality. The wines from the winery next door are available at fair prices and include expert advice. The menu is a nice mix of Palatinate specialties (saumagen, bratwurst, etc.) and other dishes (schnitzel, steak, chicken, etc.).

The location is a rustic vault - a great ambience! The food is delicious, the wine is delicious and at reasonable prices. Since I was a little undecided about the wine selection, I was given two wines to try. I thought that was really nice! 👍 The service is also excellent: friendly, attentive and quick. We were made aware that the food would be a little delayed! We were happy to accept a glass of champagne as an apology! We only waited 20 minutes and salad arrived straight away! Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe bei Ihnen. Das Essen wurde - obwohl unterschiedlich - zeitgleich serviert. Bis auf einige Kleinigkeiten war es gut bis sehr gut. Die Weinempfehlungen waren Ok. Das Abiente ist sehr schön und allein deshalb lohnenswert.

Mit meiner Frau war ich am 1.11. dort zum Mittagessen. Die Speisekarte ist schon einmal sehr interessant und vielfältig. Das Essen ist qualitativ und quantitiv sehr gut. Der Kellner war nicht nur flink und kompetent, sondern zudem auch noch sehr witzig. Das Preisgefüge ist angepasst. Lediglich die Weinpreise sind etwas überhöht - im Herstellerort! Weiter so!
