Restaurant 1220 in Meersburg

Thank you for the pleasant stay. Pad Krapao was delicious, but unfortunately, despite ordering it "very hot," it only contained dried chilies, not fresh basil, which is cheap to buy and grows in every German garden these days. The actual Krapao (Thai basil) was also used very timidly. (It also grows in every garden or flowerpot these days.) Nevertheless, I'm happy to give it full marks, as the service was very relaxed and friendly, the portion size was absolutely fine, and the price/performance ratio was absolutely reasonable. If there were more towels in the restroom, it would get 12 out of 10, but in true Thai fashion, you can also use the toilet paper roll for your hands. Highly recommended, we had 2 Thai and 1 German dish, everything was fine, highly recommended for the price in Meersburg.

The five of us went there and we felt at home. The food and service were very good. The open kitchen was also neat and clean! The owner and his wife run the place together, but he was always willing to talk, and my daughter even got something for dessert! The prices were also affordable! Thank you ☺️

I found the food there delicious, and the chef is very nice. I would recommend eating there to anyone; he's also very child-friendly. The price is also very reasonable. It's always very busy here.

I can only agree with the previous reviews. Perfect food, complemented by delicious draft beer. The schnitzels are pounded by hand before being cooked. Respect. We haven't seen that in North Rhine-Westphalia for a long time.

We love this restaurant; whether it's German or Thai cuisine, everything tastes great and is freshly prepared. The price-performance ratio is very good. The owner and his wife run the place on their own and are always friendly. Even in winter, when many people are busy, you can eat here. We often come here, even in winter, driving a good hour especially for dinner, and have never been disappointed. We highly recommend the restaurant.

We were here for the first time yesterday and really loved it! The food was super tasty – fresh, crunchy vegetables and great spices. Everything came quickly, but you still had the feeling that you could sit relaxed and have a conversation in peace. The service was really friendly and attentive, overall there was a really pleasant, relaxed atmosphere - you quickly got into conversation, even with other guests, because you were sometimes sitting at the tables together. The atmosphere is more like a snack bar, so it's not a cozy restaurant where you'd want to linger for hours - but it's absolutely suitable for a good meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The only small negative point: Unfortunately there were only two vegetarian dishes, and none of them with tofu - I would have liked a little more choice. Otherwise: absolute recommendation!

Excellent green thai curry. Prepared with fresh vegetables and much care. My husband’s schnitzel was also perfect! We only can recommend it.

We were really in the mood for Thai cuisine again and spontaneously stopped by the Restaurant 1220 in Meersburg on December 30th, 2024. Great warm welcome, top cuisine and a very tasty meal. Small but fine restaurant, highly recommended. We will treat ourselves to a Thai meal again on January 3rd, 2025.

Der erste Eindruck machte nicht viel her, vom Interieur angefangen bis zur komisch gemischten Speisekarte (Currywurst etc einerseits, Asia anderseits) aber dann wurden wir überrascht. Die Currywurst der Kinder war okay, die asiatischen Gerichte waren wirklich sehr gut. Klasse gewürzt, Schärfe genau wie gewünscht. Dazu sehr freundlicher Service, schnell, unkompliziert, super.

A bit inconspicuous from the outside, quite simple inside. But best food ever. Had Nos. 8 and 9 on the menu (minced meat with vegetables and fried eggs as well as Thai curry. Both with rice). Good spiciness, portion of the right size, great value for money. We'd love to come back.

We ate here on our vacation and I have to say it was extremely tasty. I immediately ordered another portion of my Thai dish and took it with me for the next day. Our children also enjoyed it, as they are usually very fussy! The prices are also absolutely humane, so the restaurant was full at the end. :) We received friendly service and would definitely come by more often if it weren't so far from our home. ;-)

Were guests here and can't agree with the positive reviews. The restaurant smells strongly of grease, so unfortunately all of our clothes smelled of it. In addition, the service was not particularly attentive. We ordered two vegetarian tarte flambées and to my dismay I saw the “cook” fetching two frozen tarte flambées from a room. My tarte flambée came first, my partner had to wait about 10 minutes until his was ready. An outrage! We won't come back again

Das Restaurant 1220 ist ein kleiner Geheimtipp in Meersburg. Wir haben zwei thailändische Gerichte gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Ente war perfekt! Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und kommen gerne bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Meersburg zu diesem Lokal zurück. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis war völlig okay!

Ich find es leider nicht authentisch asiatisch... die Wartezeit war auch relativ lang und die ganze Bude riecht nach fett, genau wie man selbst danach. Ansonsten war es sauber der Service sehr nett, die Toiletten sauber, also alles in Ordnung.

Durch Zufall - auf der Suche nach etwas zu essen - hier gelandet. Trotz einer überschaubaren Karte findet hier sicher jeder was. Nette Bedienung, super leckere thailändische Gerichte. Allein beim Anblick lebt man gesund! ;)

Hatten Thai ausgewählt und waren etwas enttäuscht. Alles frisch zubereitet, aber von den Gewürzen her hätte ich mir mehr erwartet. Sehr netter Service. Leider wenig vegetarische Auswahl. Wegen dem Thai-Essen muss man aber nicht herkommen....

Una combinazione particolare per un ristorante che unisce menu thailandese e tedesco. Abbiamo mangiato bene, ordinando dal menu thai, ma anche i piatti tedeschi che ho visto passare sembravano interessanti. Buono il pad thai, forse ancora meglio il riso saltato con carne. Il titolare è stato gentile a consigliare di tornare dopo 1h perché il locale era pieno, ci ha tenuto il tavolo e siamo stati molto soddisfatti. Prezzi onesti, più bassi della media dei ristoranti tedeschi.

Sehr leckere Thailändische Küche und auch die Schnitzel sind 1A. Leckeres Hirsch Zwuckl rundet das Essen ab. Sehr nette Bedienung!

Their menu is not so vegetarian friendly. However, they provide some dishes without meat. I ordered a vegetarian soup while my partner ordered a Thai green curry with chicken. The Thai curry had more vegetables than my vegetarian soup, while my soup just had noodles and few pieces of cabbage. I won't recommend this restaurant for vegetarians.

Super leckeres Essen mit total gutem Service. Alles frisch zubereitet und obwohl wir kurz vor Feierabend kamen, durften wir noch Platz nehmen. Wenn wir hier wohnen würden, würde man uns dort öfter sehen. Definitiv zu empfehlen! :)

Thais restaurant met heerlijke Thaise gerechten door de Thaise kokkin gemaakt. Heel vers Het was heerlijk. De bediening is plezierig. Ze hebben ook enkele Duitse gerechten. Prijzen zijn prettig. Aanrader.

Kleine Auswahl an Essen. Service nicht sehr sympathisch aber trotzdem freundlich. Essen war okay, aber wir waren sehr positiv überrascht über den günstigen Preis. Leider gibt es kein Tofu.

우연히 지나가다가 태국메뉴를 보고 들어갔는데 기대 이상으로 맛있었습니다. 가격도 합리적이고 친절합니다. 소도시라 아시아음식점이 별로 없었는데 맛있는 팟타이를 먹을 수 있어서 행운이었습니다.

Es gibt wechselnden Mittagstisch und der Inhaber erzählte uns, dass das Angebot demnächst noch erweitert werden soll (Thailändisches Büfett) Fußläufig gelegen in der Oberstadt.
