We were there in September and received a very warm welcome. At the beginning we were discussed the concept of the restaurant, which I personally found very pleasant. As a menu we had the 7-course “Signature Dish” menu. The service was attentive and the menu was varied. By reducing the number of different ingredients, eating “everyday” local products (e.g. broccoli) was a real taste experience. A personal highlight here is the beef calf as the main course and the sour cream as dessert. The restaurant itself has been renovated and furnished with a lot of love. The only negative thing we (2 people) found was the large tables (tables for 4), which we found to be a bit oversized. Otherwise, the visit is worth it, especially because of the seasonally changing menu and the many interesting creations of the chef (Timo Plenter).

This evening I took my mom to the “REGIONAL” restaurant and we were both really excited. The restaurant itself offers plenty of space and privacy, pleasant and competent service and of course fabulously tasty, creative food. A special thanks goes to the two ladies who served us - I think one of them was called Lea and the other was the owner Ina Stuke. Both made the evening perfect with their courteous service. 😊 The dishes are a successful composition of regional and seasonal ingredients, with attention to detail. My mom said “she was very positively surprised by the imaginative combinations” - for example with the sour cream ice cream, which was one of our highlights. Personally, I really liked the fish dishes from the extended menu and would therefore recommend that everyone try them all - as no two dishes are the same and everything is prepared very elaborately. —— Thank you very much, dear REGIONAL team, for the lovely evening and we would be happy to come back. 😊

This was our third time there and we were always thrilled. It's rare that so much heart and soul is put into the food. It's the only restaurant in the area where you can eat well for a good price.

An absolute (secret) tip in Friesoythe! I visited again and was not disappointed. The food was again a pleasure, every dish was lovingly prepared and tasted great. Special praise goes to Ina, who made the evening perfect as a waitress - attentive, friendly and always with a smile. The wine accompaniment was simply amazing, perfectly balanced and rounded off the culinary experience. I would love to come back! Absolute recommendation for anyone traveling in the region or who would like to travel further afield. ;)

Regional, seasonal and sustainable, these are the first terms for this excellent restaurant. The seven course menu is simply fantastic. Creative cuisine at a very, very high level. Excitingly prepared and presented regional ingredients that are deliciously put together. Very nice service from the owner and friendly staff. The wine accompaniment went well with the dishes - but sometimes it didn't entirely suit my taste due to the very fruity wines - but there's no arguing about taste. In any case, the Regional is worth a visit and I will definitely come back and am already looking forward to the regularly changing menu. Each dish is also offered in a vegetarian version. All in all, one can only congratulate the owners on the concert and wish them that it finds many fans.

Wow, great, just great! The menu reads unspectacularly: beetroot, tomato soup, shoulder steak and berry sorbet. But what comes out of Timo's kitchen is top class. "Our beds taste like forest!" says Ina and actually, that's how it is. The tomatoes for the tomato soup were prepared for four hours - what is served on the table has nothing in common with good old tomato soup. The Flat Iron is cooked to perfection and the meat is a little firmer than the fillet. But I don't need to go to the regional restaurant in Friesoythe for a fillet. The icing on the cake is the dessert, a sorbet made from berries. One highlight follows the next. // I'm not a fan of non-alcoholic wines and the wine pairing I ordered was actually missing alcohol. But freed from expectations and getting involved in something different: the non-alcoholic ones were on point in terms of taste. They went perfectly with the respective dishes. // The service around Ina is friendly, helpful, courteous. We felt completely comfortable. // Ina and Timo, we wish you much success, we will definitely come back soon!

You shouldn't be deceived by the external impression of the building, inside it is very nice and modernly renovated. The menu is really excellent with lots of good ideas! very attentive service! In addition to a careful selection of German wines, there was an equally large selection of dealcoholized wines.

Were there today with my girlfriend's family. We had the 5 course menu, some of us vegetarian and some the classic. The food was really good for everyone, the service was very attentive and super friendly and the wine pairing was great. We will be back definitely!

At the beginning of the year we had a 5 course menu with wine accompaniment. The food was absolutely amazing. The waitress laughed a lot with us and told us great and unique details about each product. A nice memory even after months! Highly Recommended :)

The Restaurant Regional in Friesoythe is a real gem and exceeded our expectations in every respect. Our evening began with a delicious sea buckthorn aperitif, which set the mood perfectly for the following courses. The 5-course menu was a poem made from fresh, regional ingredients, artfully prepared and presented. Every bite was an experience for the taste buds. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and informal, so you can have a conversation without being disturbed. Although it is a high-priced restaurant with a star, the atmosphere was by no means stiff or tense. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly and competent service from Ina and Lea. They took the time to explain each dish to us in detail and answer our questions. It was clearly noticeable that they put their heart and soul into what they were doing. Sustainability is very important at Regional: From the regional products to the cotton towels in the toilets - responsible behavior is ensured in every area. The Regional Restaurant is no longer an insider tip, but it is absolutely recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a special evening with excellent cuisine and great service. After reading the rating (green star) in the Michelin Guide, we set off for an hour and drove to Friesoythe. The concept and focus on regionality and sustainability is coherent and convincing. And by the way, we enjoyed a 7-course menu, which was really very good, harmonious and modern. The accompanying wines were matched to the menu and included organic wines. The ambience is not high-end and the restaurant is an older restaurant, but it makes up for it with the service and the wealth of information about food, wine and the concept. We will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone.

An oasis has appeared in the region that otherwise looks more like a desert on the Michelin Guide map. A mirage? No, it's really true :) we really liked it. One almost wonders whether the Michelin Guide's test eaters have strayed here. But it was worth it. I think there should be a lot more restaurants like this. Image is an older edition of GM

The welcome was very warm. The table for two wasn't particularly comfortable despite having reserved it in advance a few weeks before. An introduction to the philosophy of the house was given. The regional concept (Green Michelin Star) was convincing. A little amuse bouche would have increased the anticipation. No drama, but it should be part of a 5-course menu. The quality of the food and its preparation were consistently impressive. Each course was extremely good in its own right. The price/performance ratio is appropriate. Overall, a restaurant that lives up to its Michelin rating. Please keep it up, and very important - continuity!

Guest heart, what more do you want? You walk into a rustic, modern, cozy restaurant. The welcome is warm and genuine. The menu, which picks up after a successful aperitif, is delicious and creative! A great wine with the main course and a nice conversation after the meal. A concept of sustainability that is unique in the area and far beyond and is lived and loved. Wonderful! Thank you for the nice and courteous hospitality! Yesterday I was with you at Regional for the first time with friends and was absolutely thrilled. I really liked the food. I think it's important that you approach your food with an open mind. I think it's great how much thought you put into it: from the idea, the flavors, the regionality/sustainability, the support of locally grown/manufactured products to the guest themselves. Because: when we arrived, we were immediately expected and shown to our table without being named. The jackets were taken away from us and later returned to fit. Care was taken to ensure that I was pregnant and that I was offered non-alcoholic drinks and that the meat was cooked through. Very attentive! A successful evening! Many thanks to the entire team!

The Regional promises regional, sustainable dishes that have already impressed me several times! The individual compositions are always a treat for the palate and remain in your memory and a topic of conversation for months. Ich bin bereits 66 Jahre alt und habe noch nie so gut in einem Restaurant gegessen. Die Speisen waren wirkliche Geschmackserlebnisse. Dabei stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Für diese Küche hätte ich auch mehr bezahlt. Dazu eine sehr freundliche, ungezwungene und kompetente Bedienung. Wir haben dort einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht. Ich werde bei jeder Gelegenheit, die sich bietet, wenn ich mal wieder in Friesoythe bin, dort hingehen. Ich hoffe, Friesoythe weiß dieses Restaurant zu schätzen.

A really charming restaurant that is obviously run with great attention to detail and passion. Every course was great and the wine pairing was perfect. Definitely an enrichment for the region.

After I read Michelin's announcement in the fall, I thought to myself: the 40 minute drive should be worth it. And ? Yes ! An extremely great experience. I have only received positive feedback in all areas. And this from someone who has visited more than 150 starred restaurants worldwide. It was the 7-course signature dish that animated me and that I then had to enjoy. I won't go into everything, just a few points: 63° egg yolk: Cooking beluga lentils to perfection is difficult for us amateur cooks, so it's always nice to have it served somewhere else. Goat cheese: Parsley root: 1A Unfortunately, like parsnips, beets, Jerusalem artichokes, chicory and others, a vegetable that receives far too little attention in Germany. Served here in two ways. Celery cream: seasoned with home-grown curry leaves and served with lightly cooked apple slices. Zander: unconventional with finely chopped kale (could have used a touch more seasoning) Ravioli: filled with pumpkin puree, attached turnip & Brussels sprouts. The Béarnaise a little flat. Iced pumpkin seed cream: the balance between the spicy cream and the heavily sweetened cream is very good. Cheese selection: From the nearby cheese dairy "Gut Altenoythe" there is a very nice selection of medium-ripened cheeses flavored with fenugreek, red wine and aronia liqueur. Now it’s worth mentioning the very committed sommelier & co-owner Ms. Stuke. No simple "babbling" of what we have learned, but also competent answers to direct questions. You can only wish this couple the very best. Finally something sad: Unfortunately the restaurant is too far away from me. :-)

We were guests today with 4 people, and the term "guest" is lived here. Regional food, excellently prepared and explained at the table. I was skeptical at first because there are mostly menus with several courses, but I was really impressed with the result. The whole thing was rounded off by the ambience and the great team. This was my third time eating out regionally within a year. The last visit led me to write a review. The regional: Great concept of cooking only with regional and seasonal organic ingredients and offering many drinks from the region. The ambience fits and looks good. The service staff is also attentive and on their toes. In terms of prices, we are at a relatively high level here. The menu only offers a handful of creative dishes and variations. In my opinion, both are completely fine considering the implementation of the concept. However, the food was mostly completely bland and had hardly any taste. This may be due to the concept that many spices are not regional. But when I eat at a restaurant in this price range, I expect a tasty dish that does what it says on the menu. Here I see it as the chef's duty to bring flavor to the regional ingredients or to think about appropriate seasoning. The portion size was always very clear. On our last visit we went to the Regional with a larger group. We opted for multi-course meals (3-5 courses). Of course, 4- and 5-course menus are more expensive than a 3-course menu. But you also have one more gear. However, for the dishes with more courses, the portion size was significantly reduced in addition to the additional charge. The soup for the 4- and 5-course menu had less content than for the 3-course menu. This went through every corridor. Unfortunately also through the main course, where a friend of mine (4-course) actually only got a third of the Angus beef, like his girlfriend with the 3-course menu. It looked a bit ridiculous with the fancy big plates. I think something like that is audacious, since you end up paying a surcharge for the menu! Depending on this, the same tasteless cream sauce could be found on every dish, only sometimes with and sometimes without herbs. Spices: none. This time there was no salt or pepper shaker at the table either. The fish and meat were perfectly prepared. But without the right seasoning, the potential of a delicious meal unfortunately evaporates.

The food and service are absolutely excellent. I always look forward to visiting the Regional again. My favorite restaurant.

Highly recommended! We felt very comfortable with the family. Ina is a great host who responds spontaneously and warmly to requests - of course according to your concept😊. The children had the honor of tasting the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and three kinds of carrots. They were thrilled, so happy to put it on the menu 😊. The adults also got their money's worth with the delicious food, the delicious aperitif with a hint of mulled wine and the wine recommendation. Gladly again!

Regional ist hier auch regional. Alle Zutaten soll aus max. 150km Umkreis stammen, nur die Getränke sind aus Deutschland. Der Service ist wirklich noch ein Service mit Auskünften und Empfehlungen. Die junge Küche ist echt mal etwas anders, aber trotzdem irgendwie vertraut, da man alles kennt. Eben regional. Am Ambiete könnte trotzdem noch etwas gearbeitet werden. WC sauber. Eine gute Empfehlung die schmeckt.

Wir waren das erste mal bei Regional, aber wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Die Karte ist klein gehalten, es war aber für alle was dabei. Man kann die Gerichte einzeln bestellen, aber auch als 3,4 oder 5 Gänge Menü, bei denen alles perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt ist. Es gibt sogar eine Getränke oder Weinbegleitung. Die Preise sind etwas höher, aber dafür bekommt man frische, regionale und saisonale Gerichte. Die Bedienung war wirklich top und konnte uns zu jedem Gericht sagen, woher das Fleisch/Gemüse kommt. Ich kann das Restaurant absolut empfehlen.

So einen guten Service habe ich persönlich schon lange nicht mehr erlebt. Das Essen war unglaublich gut, den Koch selbst durften wir dann auch noch kurz kennenlernen.

Können wir sehr empfehlen! Wir haben auf einem Sonntag Abend mit sechs Personen einen Tisch reserviert. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, entspannt und man kann sich gut unterhalten. Die Karte ist an die regionale Auswahl und an die Jahreszeit angepasst. Das Essen war ein Gedicht! Einen Besuch können wir wärmstens empfehlen!

Wir hatten heute einen wunderschönen Abend mit Freunden bei euch. Das Essen war einfach nur fantastisch. Gerichte wie man sie eigentlich kennt und eben doch ganz anders. Einfach mit der gewissen Note extra. Der Service war herzlich und sehr aufmerksam. Wir waren ganz sicher nicht das letzte Mal bei euch.

Auf dem Weg zur Küste stießen wir auf euer wahnsinnig gutes Restaurant. Wir hatten ein bisschen Hunger, also machten wir eine Google-Suche und fanden das Restaurant in Friesoythe. Wir hatten zuvor noch nie von diesem Ort gehört. Das Essen war hervorragend - selten haben wir so gut und frisch gegessen. Geschmacklich war es perfekt, und das Personal war äußerst professionell und gut geschult. Wir kommen aus Frankfurt, und in unserer Stadt wäre dieses Restaurant definitiv eine Top-Adresse.

Es war absolut der Hammer. Das 5 Gänge Menü mit Weinbegleitung ist ein absolutes Highlight, was man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte. Super toller Service mit erstklassigen Erklärungen zu jedem Gang und jedem Wein. Macht weiter so, ihr seid toll.

Ein kleines Restaurant,dass mit köstlichem Essen, einem nachhaltigem Konzept und Spitzenpersonal immer wieder überzeugt. Jeder Besuch ist ein neues kulinarisches Erlebnis,da sich die Karte je nach Saison ändert und saisonale Produkte immer wieder neu interpretiert werden.

War anlässlich eines Geburtstages an einem Freitag im August zum ersten Mal im Regional. Diese Restaurant ist zu 100% zu empfehlen! Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, es wird professionell und je nach Gericht und Menüabfolge eingedeckt. Alle unsere Gerichte, egal ob die Vorspeisen oder Hauptgerichte (wir hatten Fisch, Huhn und Schwein), waren geschmacklich sehr gut, technisch perfekt und die Mengen gut portioniert. Regional Friesoythe Ich liebe das Konzept vom Regional. Genau dass, was unsere heutige Zeit braucht. Es ist eine „Grüne Oase“: Das Restaurant bezieht seine Zutaten von lokalen Bauernhöfen und nachhaltigen Lieferanten. Die Lebensmittel sind saisonal und regional. Die Küche ist ein Traum - und jedes Gericht war bisher köstlich. Zudem finde ich es sehr schön, dass die Karte regelmäßig wechselt. Da macht sich jemand Gedanken. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich, zuvorkommend und gut informiert. Ich wurde sehr zutreffend über Weine aufgeklärt und diese haben das Essen hervorragend begleitet. Auch die Speisekarte wurde fantastisch erklärt. Schon viele gelungene Abende im Regional verbracht und von ganzem Herzen zu empfehlen! Wir werden Euch noch oft besuchen!

Ergänzung zum letzten Mal: Wir waren gestern erneut im Regional. Definitiv eine sehr gute Entscheidung. Haben draußen gesessen bei bestem Wetter und wieder einmal hervorragendem Essen. Das Personal ist immer freundlich, erklärt das Essen und es gibt eine sehr gute Weinberatung. Essen und Service absolut klasse. Klassische regionale Küche neu interpretiert. Absolut klasse Konzept. Wir kommen wieder.

Bezahlbares Gourmetrestaurant, verwendet nur regionale und saisonale Produkte, alle Gerichte frisch zubereitet ohne Geschmacksverstärker, einfach superlecker, freundlicher Service (auch englischsprachig)

Nach einem sehr herzlichen Empfang durfte ich die Speisekarte und Weinkarte studieren. Ich hatte mich für die saisonale Spargelsuppe grün weiß und einem Angussteak mit Jus mit Spargel und leckerem Kartoffelpü und Hollondaisemajo mit kandierten Sonnenblumen entschieden. Dazu ein Barrique Spätburgunder aus Rheinhessen. Es war nur lecker. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt da auch das ganze Ambiente ruhig und entspannt war. Wenn ich in der Nähe bin werde ich wieder kommen. Absolut empfehlenswert. Macht weiter so.

(Änderung zur alten Bewertung) Wir waren im April zum Gourmet Abend im Regional und sind immer noch sehr begeistert. Das herausragende Essen, der Service und die perfekt abgestimmte Weinbegleitung waren einmalig und jeden Euro wert. Zu jedem der 6 Gänge (mit Starter und Abschluss eigentlich 8) und dem jeweiligen Wein gab es eine kurze Erklärung, die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm und exklusiv. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen! Es ist toll sowas in der Nähe zu haben.

Wirklich noch ein Geheimtipp der besseren und feineren Gastronomie 👍🏻. Schöne Weinkarte, hervorragende Küche und super nettes Personal. Man wird von den Gastgebern persönlich am Tisch bedient. Weiter so, wir kommen immer wieder gerne in die tolle Location. Hoffentlich noch für mehr bestimmt das Restaurant!!!

Die empfohlenen Weine passten gut zu unseren Speisen und waren auch von sehr guter Qualität. Die Speisen sind angenehm preiswert (für das Konzept, Frische, Qualität) und jeden Cent wert!
