Baweri Bar Restaurant in Friesoythe

We ate at this restaurant yesterday. A chicken burger for almost €25, made with a frozen chicken patty and no sides, is very expensive and shows no signs of being cooked. There was a fast-food restaurant next door offering the same quality for a fraction of the price. At these prices, the quantity, quality, and sides should be adequate. The portion sizes are small, and the sides cost extra. The rosemary potatoes we ordered separately weren't fresh and were already mushy. The two of us paid almost €75 and were not impressed. A 0.2l Coke for almost €4 was the final straw. Please urgently work on the quality and quantity of the food to match the prices – the ambiance alone isn't enough.

We found the restaurant through Instagram. The two of us went and paid around €110 for an appetizer, two main courses, and three drinks, which was more than reasonable for the incredibly delicious food! The steak was amazing and the garlic baguette was fantastic! I can highly recommend it and we'll definitely be driving there again in an hour ;)

The food was delicious overall, especially the main courses. The fries, however, were a bit too dry/hard. The atmosphere in the restaurant was otherwise really nice. What bothered us, though, was that we were told the restaurant would be closing in ten minutes, even though the opening hours indicated it would still be open for another 40 minutes. This meant we were essentially asked to leave half an hour early. We would have liked to have a drink and relax and enjoy the rest of the evening, but unfortunately, we didn't have that opportunity. It was a shame, especially since we spent a fair amount of money there. This somewhat marred the otherwise positive impression.

The food was absolutely delicious, as always. Presented with so much love. It always looks fantastic. The cocktails are amazing. A bit pricey, but the quality is definitely worth it. It's well worth the extra cost. Keep up the great work! I'll be back.

Very nice restaurant, modern and spacious.

The ambiance and service were fine. The medallions were too dry and unfortunately tough. A shame.

The food was delicious. The ambiance was also very nice. We had reserved a table for 8 people and were given a time slot of 5:15 pm, but were only given until 6:30 pm. This meant only 1 hour and 15 minutes (far too little). Right at the beginning, we asked for more time. However, since they had scheduled the reservation so tightly, the only response was "order or leave." We could stay until 6:45 pm, though. Our drink order was taken quickly and brought promptly. Our food order was taken immediately afterward, around 5:40 pm. The food for 7 people arrived at 6:10 pm, and the last order came 10 minutes later. The food tasted very good, but if you don't have time to enjoy it because you have to swallow immediately instead of chewing, then even the most delicious food is useless. We didn't even have an appetizer or dessert because some of the main course wasn't even finished. The server was coming around every two minutes, it felt like, to check if everything was okay or if we wanted another drink. We got the feeling that our time was up and we had to leave. In short: With that kind of time constraint, we'd rather order pizza for delivery and forgo good food and a pleasant atmosphere.

I had spare ribs, absolutely delicious, a must-try! Friendly and competent service. We were there on Wednesday and it was very busy, so reservations are essential.

This was our first time here today, and we all enjoyed it very much. Large portions, great atmosphere – simply a worthwhile experience.

Unfortunately, the food was consistently unsatisfactory; either the steak wasn't cooked properly, the coleslaw was too spicy, and to top it all off, a 70-cent charge was deducted for packaging, which wasn't mentioned at the table. Simply awful!

Delicious cocktails, a cozy atmosphere, and good food. Attentive service, and the restaurant is busy even during the week, so reservations are recommended. Paying at the counter is inconvenient.

I visited this restaurant on my birthday with a group of six girls. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. When we made the reservation, we weren't informed that the table was only reserved for 1.5 hours. When we brought this up with the staff, they seemed overwhelmed, as apparently no one wanted to take responsibility for the situation. Furthermore, it was quite obvious that there weren't enough waitstaff – we had to wait a long time for our orders. In addition, two bowls were mixed up: the one that should have contained fish actually contained meat, and vice versa. It's a real shame that a restaurant that initially seemed promising disappointed us so much, especially on such a special day. What was particularly disappointing was that no one apologized for the inconvenience at the end of the evening.

The food didn't taste good; I couldn't even eat it because the meat was so bland, but they still charged me all the full price. However, I think it's really expensive. An appetizer costs 11 euros and a mixed grill costs 40 euros; I don't think that can be normal. It's in Frisoythe, not Berlin. In any case, it's not worth it because the food had no flavor.

Amazing location and the food is fantastic!

We'd heard great things about Baweri, so we were really looking forward to it. However, the menu was a disappointment. Standard fare at completely exorbitant prices. Burgers for €25-27 is outrageous. The quality was only average. My food was way too salty, but they replaced it without any fuss, so 4 stars for the service. €9 for a Lillet is also steep, and the cotton candy as a signature touch was a bit odd – it looked like fiberglass. I would have appreciated at least a complimentary bottle of water as "compensation" for the poor food. We paid over €90 for two meals and four drinks. That's outrageous. If the quality had been correspondingly good, it would have been acceptable. But at HiG (abbreviation), I get significantly better quality for the same price. Friends were there about a year ago, and back then the burger cost around €16. That would be okay. It's a shame, because the waitresses were really nice and tried their best...

We went to the all-you-can-eat spare ribs event at Baweri yesterday – and it was really good. The ribs were delicious, tender, and expertly prepared. No mass production here, just consistently high quality. The service was seamless, everything was well-organized, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great, the food was excellent, and the whole experience was perfect. If you appreciate honest, good food, you can't go wrong here.

I ate there with my family for the first time today... let me just say, it was also the last time. On Google it says 4.7 stars and really great pictures, which I absolutely cannot understand. We were sat down and then had to wait 40 minutes for our drinks... I've never experienced anything like that before. Then we finally got the menu. The tuna pizza was terrible for the price. It arrived lukewarm to cold and drenched in oil. It was as if someone had poured an entire bottle on it. Inedible. After waiting for 1.5 hours, you at least expect tasty food. The rosemary potatoes (if you can call them that, since there was almost no seasoning) were also disappointing. The noodles were drenched in soy sauce, so they got worse with every bite. The meat was also drenched in oil, of course, and the portions were extremely small, and you couldn't get enough to eat on them. For €25 and a portion like that, you would have been better off eating at McDonald's. At least you would have been full there... The manager just stands behind the counter and doesn't feel the need to help. He looks very inept. The atmosphere was nice, but that's it. I'd give the service and food 0 stars.

The food and drinks are beautifully presented and taste delicious. One minor criticism is that the bruschetta menu doesn't mention that it includes Parmesan cheese. However, I would recommend the restaurant and will definitely return.

I visited the BAWERI Bar & Restaurant and was completely impressed! I ordered a medium steak with potatoes. The meat was wonderfully juicy and tender, melting in your mouth. We had reserved a table for four on a Thursday. Service was friendly and attentive at first. After the appetizer, the main course came straight away, without a short break. Unfortunately, no one came to us after the main course, and our glasses remained empty for at least an hour. An hour before closing time, the first candles were extinguished and the lights brightened. Given the lack of service, it felt like an indirect eviction. The food was good. The location was really nice. The drinks were very expensive, and they only serve small drinks. A shame.

"I went to dinner with my colleague today and we both tried burgers with sweet potato fries - simply delicious! He had a chicken burger and I had a chili cheese burger, and both were really great. The aioli in particular was a highlight! The atmosphere in the restaurant is super cozy and inviting. I was particularly impressed by the fact that everything in the toilets had been thought of - even deodorant and hairspray for the ladies! A really nice detail. The only small point of criticism: For the drinks, a napkin was simply used as a coaster on the glasses, which was a bit inappropriate compared to everything else. But otherwise everything was really great! Of course, quality has its price, but the overall package is just right here. Absolutely recommended – I’ll definitely be back!”

I had a very nice evening here with my friends with good and tasty food. The cocktails not only taste fantastic, they are beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to linger.

I was really happy with my first visit, but unfortunately not this time. We wanted to leave some time after the starter before the dessert came - that wasn't a problem. But as soon as the dessert arrived, another waitress came and said we had to vacate the table soon because it had been reserved again. Less than five minutes later she brought the bill straight away. When we asked whether we were really going to be thrown out, all we got was a stroppy “yes”. I wasn't aware beforehand that you only have the table for 1.5 hours - there was no option to choose when making the reservation. For a location that calls itself a “bar”, I find that extremely short. Most people want to end the evening relaxing without having to get up straight after dinner. It's a shame, it doesn't leave a good impression.
