Five of us were spontaneously there on Friday, it was amazing. From the various sandwiches, to mac & cheese, coleslaw and sausages, simply brilliant...

The sandwiches are really incredibly tasty, but now too expensive considering that they are only enough for small to medium hunger :)

I've taken sandwiches here several times and have always been impressed. Not cheap but absolutely delicious. The shop itself doesn't invite you to eat there, the service is friendly. If you like American sandwiches you should eat here.

Reuben Pastrami was very horny, needs to come more often now

Today we were hungry for a delicious pastrami sandwich. We became curious about this location through various YouTube channels. As you probably know, everything is stylish and modern. Although… the lighting is a bit brutally bright. The very bright lamps were quite annoying when reading the menu. The prices are okay and there is definitely something for every gourmet. The guys behind the counter are nice and friendly even shortly before closing time. The product presentation was no longer so appetizing less than an hour before the end of the day. Didn't really fit the hip style. Let's get to the most important thing, the taste of the sandwiches. My pastrami seemed a bit salty?!? Since we ordered two, I waited for the other person's opinion. The feedback also came: “A little salty.” Another pulled pork sandwich was okay. Nice and juicy. Since I prepare pulled pork myself several times a year, I think I can form my own opinion. We will definitely come back and try the other delicacies. Unfortunately you can't sit down. At these prices, I would happily do so. Continued success 👍

Had the “2 room apartment”. Basically everything was delicious. What was annoying, however, was that four things were missing from the record. For the price, I think this is an absolute no-go, especially since the lack of food (mac & cheese, salad, sausages and pulled pork) was not noticed by the staff. We had to alert the employees several times that something was missing. Of course, things like this can happen. But the fact that 4 things are missing from a plate and no one notices it is not acceptable to me for a price of over €45. I can't recommend the shop with a clear conscience and probably won't eat there again.

The meal itself was a delight. The “2-room apartment” was ordered. Unfortunately some dishes were missing. The employees only noticed it when they asked. For the price of 45 euros for the dish, something like this shouldn't happen. The store was almost empty at the time. Too bad.

More appearance than reality, price-performance is a catastrophe and the store only seems hyped through Instagram and social media. The sandwiches taste quite good but are completely overpriced for the money... unfortunately made more in a newfangled hipster way than really convincing... if you take a closer look, not worth recommending!

If you like BBQ and great sandwiches, you'll always find what you're looking for here! Everything homemade, super nice team and simply delicious! We recently ordered via the app ten minutes before closing time, it was accepted and we were very happy about the great dinner. Thanks a million again for that!

The best American sandwich shop in Cologne. It's not expensive and you can get very good sandwiches. Raphs BBQ is already a famous restaurant in Cologne for its authentic American barbecue, but it is far away, making it difficult to get there without a car and making a reservation. Raphs Deli may be a good alternative, although it may not be 100% the same. It's not easy to eat and go because there are no chairs inside. However, sandwiches can be easily eaten anywhere. Although there is a long wait time after ordering, I still recommend it without fail.

Incredibly delicious. Absolutely one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. I had the Reuben Pastrami Sandwich and I highly recommend it. In particular how all the ingredients taste and harmonize with each other. I will come back very soon.

Really very tasty sandwiches at fair prices. The atmosphere in an old butcher's shop is really charming. Because everything is freshly prepared, it may take a few minutes longer.

Everything is clean and good ingredients, but the taste is rather average. I tried almost everything, nothing was bad, but not really tasty either. And very expensive. Wouldn't go out to eat again. But everyone can try it out.

Yesterday I picked up some “snacks” for my partner and I. Spoiler: that was powerful and anything but fast food. Low and slow at its best. Unfortunately the brisket was just enough, but the pulled beef potatoe, spare ribs 1,000 grams, pastrami sandwich, pulled beef Al's as a single portion, chicken drum sticks and sides (corn, coleslaw) were a bit oversized for two people. Quality very good. The roll/bun top and the spare ribs had an incredibly thick layer of meat. I didn't know the restaurant before and stupidly googled BBQ in Cologne: direct hit. Completely clueless, I asked the managing director whether the concept would work. Well, it does and a star chef knows his business. In terms of price, of course, it's above the fast food alternative mentioned above, but it's completely okay because quality and handcraft are offered here. I will come back because the Phily steak sandwich and the brisket are still at the top of my to-do list. Maybe also a sausage or something vegetarian. See you soon!

So sorry, I really don't know how the harsh reviews came about, but all in all it's absolutely average. The food wasn't great, the prices were too high and the shop and ambience just weren't good. I was influenced by Google and YouTube, but for 100 euros (3 people) you can eat much better in Cologne. It's a shame, but you have to try new things

Fantastic service, friendly and helpful! So the food is to die for, legit, to die for! We went for pulled pork and philly cheesesteak, insanely good! Highly recommend this place!

Best cheese steak I've had since Philly itself.

The sandwiches were very tasty and juicy. We had the tandoori and pastrami. Unfortunately, some of the delicious meat was lost in the sauce or sauerkraut, which could be showcased even better.

My wife and I were in Cologne and wanted to try Raph's Deli because we were always very impressed with Raph's BBQ. Raphs BBQ is the address in Cologne for us! We both ordered a Philly Chesse sandwich at the deli. The taste was ok for both of us, but that was it. Either salt was forgotten or the nice chef had a bad day. The usual seasoning was missing. The tender meat was completely lost in taste. There was also too much runny cheese sauce on the sandwich, which made it impossible to eat without making a mess. At the first bite my hands were full of sauce because the paper had already soaked through. Sorry doesn't make any sense, it just causes frustration. Unfortunately there are no toilets to at least wash your hands. Maybe thicken the sauce (xanthan gum, agar agar, or cornstarch) e.g. or improve the packaging material. Aluminum foil to support it would be enough😉 Please don't be offended. We would still give you another chance. 😉

Walked through Cologne for 45 minutes because the store is open until 9 p.m. Arrived here at 8:30 p.m. and was shown straight to the door with the explanation that you should have been there at 8 p.m. ... but no information about it online ... there was no way the employee could accommodate you think .poor performance .definitely not recommended

I love this store! I've been here several times for sandwiches and have never been disappointed. The seasonal and permanent sandwiches are absolutely amazing!

The food was very tasty! The guys working seemed a little bit confused with the orders (my boyfriend ate his sandwich 10/15 min before me although we made only one order together) but besides that everything was nice! Wish I had taken a pic of the sandwiches :(

Was there for the first time and thought it was great. Had the mac cheese sandwich and once the roasted pork. Both were really great. I thought it was ok for the price, it's just a huge sandwich with lots of toppings!

Oh, how good was that? There were two of us there today and we came here based on a tip. When I entered I was a little critical at first because the store looks pretty clean... But then…there were just the mega people with great service, and the sandwiches, including the mac & cheese, were really, really good. We waited almost 10 minutes, which was perfectly fine. In terms of taste, the food was right up there. The “Raphs Peanut Butter Bacon Sandwitch” is simply a poem. The Roasted Porkloin Sandwitch is also amazing. With absolute certainty, it wasn't the last time today, we'll be back.

OMG OMG OMG Ordered 3 different sandwiches and experienced a taste explosion with each one. Each sandwich was delicious and tasted different. Doner kebabs etc. can really pack a punch. Although it is quite expensive, you have to consider how much effort it costs, e.g. Making pulled pork is therefore justified. A menu e.g. Sandwich+side dish+drink would be really great, as one sandwich alone won't fill you up completely.

We had a pastrami and a pulled pork sandwich. Both was delicious. 12,50€ each isn't cheap, but a fair price if you compare it with prices like Subway or a Döner. We ll be Back.

The atmosphere is a bit sober, but the sandwiches are simply great!

I got the store as a tip, I took a look, it seems good. But the fact that disrespect is sometimes labeled "we are HESSIAN and sarcastic" is embarrassing and unprofessional. This has absolutely nothing to do with sarcasm. When a guest asks after a long work shift, "Can you sit here?" And the answer with a wink is, “Do you see chairs here?”, I let it slide. But the follow-up "What a question..." grumbling mimimi, then that's at the level of a teenager. Not acceptable if you apparently hear that often according to your answers, all the more reason to do your job and adapt to the guest as a (literal) service. This is what you get paid for, simple as that. You're not a village pub in Franconia with three regulars.

A hit in terms of taste. Tried Mac N Cheese Sandwich and Burnt Ends Sandwich, both very good. The price is higher, but so is the quality. We'll come back to test the rest.

Went there on Saturday lunchtime right after the store opened. The owner was alone due to illness and explained directly that there would be long waiting times. No problem for us. After about 45 minutes we got our sandwiches (pulled pork BBQ sandwich) and what can I say - simply heavenly. I haven't eaten such delicious pulled pork since my trip to the USA. It was definitely worth the wait!!!!

Fine Can be recommended without reservation

An American friend recommended this place, mostly because we live in Stuttgart, where the American deli concept still has yet to be discovered. I was really hopeful about Raph's. Walking in there, it just seemed to offer all the right things. The food featured quality ingredients, but everything was just wrong. The menu boasted Buffalo wings. Buffalo wing sauce is vinegar based hot sauce with butter. These were most definitely just a tangy, slight spicy barbecue sauce. They weren't bad, but they were 100% not what we ordered. They also came with no ranch or blue cheese sauce. The wings weren't separated, so they were generously portioned. The sandwiches....both just had rogue ingredients that made them not true to their American namesakes. The philly cheesesteak had tangy paprika instead of savory green bell peppers. The Reuben had really overpowering pickles, no Thousand Island sauce, too much sauerkraut, the meat was really tough (but spiced perfectly)...and both sandwiches had lettuce, for reasons that still allude me. If it was written on the menu, I could have at least asked for them without. The place is cute, but if you're an American seeking these classics, you'll be disappointed by the Germanification of them. The search continues....

I ate a pulled pork BBQ sandwich and found it very tasty, the meat was delicious. I tried the ribs at a friend's house; I've never eaten such tender meat before. He worked alone in the store that day because the rest of us were absent due to illness. It was communicated very openly that this could lead to longer waiting times & so that was completely fine with me.

I ate a pulled pork sandwich & a Philly cheesesteak (my plautze is still excited to this day). One sandwich should be enough for a normal person.

We had the pastrami sandwich and the mac and cheese sandwich. Super nice staff and reasonable prices. The mac and cheese sandwich was just right spicy, smoky and juicy. The pastrami was absolutely a highlight in terms of taste, spicy, juicy, highly recommended! Overall, a good place for a quick, tasty sandwich!

Also ich war mega hyped durch den sympathischen Instagram Auftritt , es wird immer sehr von Qualität gesprochen allerdings schmeckte ich diese eher wenig . Die Marinaden haben leider auch nicht unseren Geschmack getroffen die Würstchen waren ekelhaft 🤢 und das haben alle 4 Personen gesagt mit denen wir dort waren . Es gab aber auch einige schmackhafte Produkte auf der Platte ( pastrami Sandwich leider nicht auf dem Foto dieses war lecker ) , aber viel unterdurchschnittliche Dinge , also knorpelig teilweise , Qualität nicht so hoch wie erwartet . Eher enttäuscht denke kommen nicht nochmal wieder. Service war auch eher mäßig . Ambiente ist okay

After I'd been there before and wasn't particularly impressed, I tried it again. Unfortunately, the meat on the Philly Cheese was completely gristly and stringy. When the employee was asked about this, the answer was: “Yes, ok!” Thank you for nothing. Unfortunately very disappointing and overrated!

Very tasty food. The Philly steak was simply outstanding. Juicy, lots of it, bread buttery soft. The mac n cheese was also amazing. Made me want more. Unfortunately it doesn't have a snack bar and doesn't even have toilets, but it's still worth one or more visits! Hopefully will come back at some point.

Philly Cheese is okay and tasty by German standards. But it doesn't come close to the American original. Pastrami was good, unfortunately not the best sauce with mustard.

We had the Raph's special, Philly cheese, tandori sandwich, mac'n'cheese and chicken drum sticks. We enjoyed every bite from start to finish. Surely, we will visit their restaurant in the future!

We were very satisfied, the sandwiches, mac cheese and sausages were simply ultra tasty. The service was very nice, it was a lot of fun to chat and eat there, even though there were only two bar tables we spent almost 2 hours there. Always my pleasure!

Hatten hohe Erwartungen, da wir beim Raph's BBQ in Köln-Widdersdorf bereits mehrere Male super Essen hatten. Auch das Deli hat nicht enttäuscht - gemütliche Atmosphäre, nettes Personal und genug vegetarische Optionen verfügbar!

Einfach nur schlecht...extra vorher informiert wegen Öffnungszeiten hingefahren um zu sehen es ist einfach mal zu..sehr enttäuschend weil es noch nicht mal ein Hinweis dafür gab.

Beim Betreten des Ladens nach einer langen Schicht mit großem Hunger - frage ich nett; "Hallo, kann man sich hier auch setzen?" Antwort; *Augenverdrehen* "Siehst du hier irgendwo Stühle? , Du kannst dich auf den Boden setzen - was für eine Frage?" Die Antwort war so verkackt, dass mir der Appetit und die Laune vergangen war! Mein Bruder war dabei und dachte dasselbe. Verrückt. Und unprofessionell. Ein simples Nein hätte gereicht. Hier setze ich keinen Fuß mehr rein. Aber die Kneipe "Trierer Eck'" schräg gegenüber ist richtig super !!

Mega Sandwich, recht stabil. Preis passt für das was man bekommt. Allerdings schwer zu essen ;)

Visited this place on a Friday evening and it was everything I had hoped for. Despite the slightly long wait time, the Cheesesteak & Pulled Pork sandwiches I ordered were TO DIE FOR! A short walk from the Barbarossaplatz train station, I would highly recommend it, as long as you don’t expect lightning fast service. 👌

Sowohl das Essen als auch die Menschen vor und hinter der Theke machen diesen Ort zu einem idealen Treffpunkt für Freund:innen des fantabulösen Geschmauses! Sowohl die Sandwiches als auch die BBQ-Platten sind durch die Bank zu Empfehlen! Achtung: Es gibt im Laden nur 2 Stehtische, was bei dem originellen Ambiente und der Größe des Ladens durchaus Sinn macht. Aber bringt Zeit und bequemes Schuhwerk mit, wenn ihr vor Ort essen wollt!

Es gibt einfach keine Worte, die dieses Geschmackserlebnis beschreiben könnte. Der absolute Wahnsinn, danke für eure Perfektion und liebe zum Detail ❤️❤️❤️. So macht Essen Spaß. Kann ich nur 100% weiterempfehlen.

Best sandwich in Cologne! Love at first bite. Meat full of flavor and sooo tender, bread is crunchy outside but soft inside, paprika is perfectly grilled and put it all together in one sandwich… 🤤🤤🤤 sadly no seatings available but you can sit by the window outside. Don’t underestimate the sandwich portion as you wouldn’t want to share it. Always dreaming to come back.

Bei unserem ersten Besuche bei Raph's BBQ Deli war alles wunderbar. Es roch schon von draußen sehr lecker und auch das Ambiente ist sehr ansehnlich. Nachdem geklärt wurde, dass hier Kartenzahlung möglich ist (auch Kreditkarte) wurde bestellt. Kurz zur Bezahlung: Man kann auch easy Trinkgeld per Kartenzahlung erledigen. Coole Sache! Meine Partnerin hat sich das Honey Ham Sandwich (ohne Käse) bestellt und war sehr begeistert. Ich habe mir das Roasted Porkloin Sandwich bestellt und bin ebenfalls begeistert. Das Fleisch hat eine super Qualität und ist sehr zart. Auch die anderen Zutaten sind sehr passend ausgesucht worden; ein Genuss im Munde! Kleine Randnotiz: Auch unsere Hündin hat gebettelt wie noch nie, hahaha. Jedem Sandwich Liebhaber, aber jedem Menschen mit gutem Geschmack würde ich einen Besuch bei Raph's BBQ Deli empfehlen. Hier treffen tolle Gerichte, ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, nette und hygienische Mitarbeiter und ein schönes Ambiente zusammen. Bitte weiter so und wir kommen wirklich gerne wieder vorbei.

Raph's BBQ Deli in Köln ist ein Paradies für Sandwich-Liebhaber. Das Restaurant bietet eine große Auswahl an leckeren Sandwiches, die mit frischen und hochwertigen Zutaten zubereitet werden. Das Fleisch ist zart und saftig, das Brot ist knusprig und weich, und die Saucen sind würzig und cremig. Jeden Monat gibt es auch spezielle Sandwiches, die man unbedingt probieren sollte. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt und gemütlich, das Personal ist sehr nett und kompetent, und der Preis ist mehr als angemessen. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit meinem Besuch bei Raph's BBQ Deli und kann es nur sehr empfehlen.

Tip: laut und deutlich bestellen, sonst gibt's statt einer Wurst ein Sandwich. War aber auch lecker ;)

Essen ist einfach nur 10/10! Habe sowas Vergleiches an Geschmack noch nie in Deutschland geschmeckt. Preislich was höher aber trotzdem mehr als fair! Bei der Qualität ist der Preis absolut gerechtfertigt.

Allerlei Leckereien für Fleischliebhaber! Der junge Mann hinter der Theke hatte richtig Bock uns durch sein Essen glücklich zu machen. Seine Empfehlungen waren absolut on Point. Locker-lässig, gut gelaunter Umgang mit Kunden. Danke dafür, weiter so! 👍 Sorry für die kleinen Abzüge in der B-Note. Hier mein Feedback dazu... - Service: Feuchttücher o.Ä. sind ein muss. - Ambiente: Barhocker wären schön.

Leckere Sandwiches und eine schöne große Auswahl, inkl wechselnder Monatsangebote. Leider hat die Stadt die Sitzplätze draußen untersagt, man kann aber auf der Fensterbank sitzen. Und im Anschluss gibt es auch ein großartiges Eis! Man sollte aber keine Fast-Food-Ketten-Preise erwarten, meiner Meinung nach aber kann die Qualität mithalten!

Ungelogen noch nie so ein leckeres Sandwich gegessen! Die Drumsticks aus dem Smoker waren auch einfach nur krass! Kann es kaum erwarten die Buffalo Wings und die Ribs auszuprobieren. Bedienung war auch super. Gekühltes Craft Beer vor Ort ist auch immer eine gute Idee. Schreibe eigentlich nie eine Rezension, aber der Laden ist so genial, dass ich direkt mal 5 Sterne da lassen musste.

Fast service, freshly prepared, take out option, good sandwich with lot of vegetables.

Ich habe mir die große Portion Ribs gekauft. Auf der Internetseite wird die mit € 23,- angegeben. Im Laden kosteten die dann auf einmal € 28,-. Die Ribs sind zwar sehr groß aber waren zuerst einmal fast kalt. Das geht gar nicht. Dann waren sie auch sehr fettig. Es war bei 1,2 kg nur 5 Rippchen. Dann kann man sich vorstellen wie die ausgesehen haben. Dicke fette Dinger am Knochen. Mir war nach 2 Stück schlecht. Habe die restlichen in den Müll geworfen. Das kann man nicht essen. Habe dem Laden eine Mitteilung geschrieben. Antwort habe ich natürlich nicht erhalten. Das war wirklich ein ganz schlimmes Essen. Nie wieder. Das kann man einfach nicht essen. Zur Antwort vom Inhaber möchte ich ausführen, dass ich dort direkt abgeholt, also nicht über Wollt bestellt habe. Da es aber dort nahezu unmöglich ist einen Parkplatz zu finden, habe ich meinen 12-jährigen Sohn zum Abholen ins Lokal geschickt. Dem konnte man ja leicht einen höheren Preis abnehmen. So geht man nicht mit Kindern um. Und wenn der Inhalber wirklich eine Lösung finden hätte wollen, dann hätte er einfach auf meine Nachricht direkt antworten können. Also wenn man will. Er will aber gar nicht.

Sehr feine Location in einer alten Metzgerei. Das Personal war super freundlich und das angebotene Essen hat mich umgehauen. Kann das Pulled Pork wärmstens empfehlen 👍 ich komme definitiv wieder. Danke!

Ich bin absolut beeindruckt! Hier stimmt Qualität, Geschmack, Portion und dementsprechend auch die Preis-Leistung. Weiter so, dieses Deli werde ich vom Herzen jedem weiterempfehlen.
