The food was far too little for that money, too small portions, and the meat was not tender (old) not tasty.

It feels a bit like a school dining hall, but we accepted that. Even though they barely understood English, we got exactly what we asked for or ordered. Delicious food, I would definitely go back.

The pea soup was a bit watery, the curry vegetables were excellent, and the mango cream was superb. It was a good value for money. See you soon!

I was on a tour from USA to Cologne. We had dinner at Rangoli Köln and were very disappointed. The food was overly salty and not enjoyable. There were very few customers, and it seemed like they charge the ones who do come in excessively—our meal was almost €100 for two people. The hygiene of the kitchen and cook seemed poor, and overall it did not feel like a healthy restaurant. I regret going there, would not recommend it, and will never return.

I really appreciate the vegetarian options. I had a delicious Tofu Karahi and a tomato soup. I loved how is presented. All of it amazing!! And the service was great. 👍🏻

Four of us went out to eat at the weekend. The waiter was courteous and gave us a free starter. It was very quiet that evening, and the service was attentive and good. The prices are quite reasonable. We tried the classics Tikka Masal and Butter Chicken. We would have preferred a bit more spice, but the portions were good. The toilet could be upgraded or enlarged, as it's quite small. The faucet also needs to be installed properly, as it wobbles a lot.

Poor quality service, bland and overpriced food

The staff was super friendly. The lunch special was really good value for money, but the portions were a bit small. However, we did get a soup starter, which made up for it. The ambiance wasn't particularly special; the orange color was very eye-catching. I would highly recommend the restaurant, though.

The food was delicious (I ordered a matter paneer and tandoori roti) and very filling. The staff are nice as well and make you feel comfortable. The food also came really quickly which is great! Decently priced, €43 for two meals, drinks, and a side. Would definitely recommend.

I was craving Indian food on my birthday, and my husband surprised me with a lunch date here. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a big disappointment. We ordered chicken tikka masala, but it was just bland tomato sauce—no spices, no flavor—and to make it worse, the chicken was undercooked. The rice served was raw, and the quantity of everything was quite small for the price. Garlic naan was average and the buttermilk was just okay. The restaurant is owned by a couple who seem to be non-Indian, which might explain the lack of authentic taste. The place is mostly filled with foreigners, and I genuinely feel bad for them—they probably don’t know how real Indian food is supposed to taste, which may be why the reviews are misleadingly positive. We spent 27 euros for just three items. Small portions, poor quality—definitely a waste of money. Not recommended for any Indian looking for real Indian food.

I tried Matar paneer, butter Nan, mango Lassi, all perfect , restaurant has nice ambiance. Near to city center, famous colonge cathedral. Quick service. Overall great experience.

The main courses were okay, not earth-shattering and, in my opinion, a little more expensive at €15 each. The naan bread was dry like it was from the day before and had no taste whatsoever. The delivery took around 1.5 hours.

I recently visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. Firstly, the service was incredibly slow. It felt like the staff were either understaffed or simply inattentive. Even basic requests took far longer than expected, leaving us waiting for extended periods. The condition of the restaurant was also quite poor. Cleanliness appeared to be a low priority—tables weren’t wiped down properly, and the floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The most unpleasant aspect, however, was the state of the restroom. It was dirty and unhygienic, which is always a red flag for any dining establishment. As for the food, it didn’t fare any better. We ordered garlic naan, hoping for something fresh and flavorful. Instead, we were served plain naan with what seemed to be a ready-made garlic paste hastily spread over it. It was a lazy attempt at a dish that should be simple and delicious, but instead, it was underwhelming and lacked authenticity. Overall, between the poor service, lack of cleanliness, and subpar food, this restaurant failed to meet even the most basic expectations. I wouldn’t recommend it, and I doubt I’ll be returning anytime soon.

It is very rare to find a place like this! Waitress putting ice in drinks with bare hands. 2 hours for bland food to arrive. Two thinly sliced mango cubes in a curry does not make it a Mango curry. No draft on tap. €7 for still bottle water. Forgot half the order, nan breads came out for dessert. Avoid at all costs

Ate food here 4 times since 2015. The food is ok. Portions are a bit small, and the taste is acceptable. However the chairs are very uncomfortable to sit and you slip when you sit inclined.

Murgh biryani doesn't taste like biryani at all . Veg biryani was quite decent .( Though anything like veg biryani is a myth). Garlic naan was great . Kadhai paneer is full of only tomatoes and tangy very disappointing .

Food came after 2.5 hours. When I called after 1.5 hours, they said the driver was on the way. After that, when we called again, no one answered the phone. Food was quite ok. However, special requests were not received.

Durante nuestra visita Koeln / Colonia - nos detuvimos en Frittenwerk para algunas salchichas y patatas fritas. Fui por el Currywurst, pero era demasiado. El Currywurst tradicional tiene mucha salsa, sin cebollas fritas. Este Frittenwerk estaba situado en la estación de tren Hauptbahnhof / Central y hemos parado allí para una cena rápida ya que nuestro hotel estaba cerca. Hay asientos disponibles dedicados al restaurante. La comida sale rápido.

We had lunch and dinner (both buffets) here when we visited Cologne as part of our organised tour. Food was amazing, and the place is just a few mins by walk from the cathedral. Loved the fruit custard, dal makhni, and malai kofta. Would highly recommend if you are looking for Indian food in Cologne.

Butter Chicken was really tasty! Unfortunately, Salty Lassi is a bit bland. But bread is too expensive. 1 Tandori Rooti for 2.60 is already crisp... But generally speaking, I'd be happy again!

I am actually pretty thankful for this restaurant for opening during Cologne Carnival 2024. My lamb is pretty good but my husband's curry chicken is ok, he didn't like it. All the lassi are pretty good. I saw people coming for using toilet, it's 1 euro/person/time. It's really great for a crazy day like this you can get a clean toilet. I also see people come in to buy beers. This restaurant becomes our convenience store during carnivals.

😀😀😀 yummy😀😀😀 I came here in 2024 when I was in Cologne for the carnival. I looked for an Indian guesthouse on Google and since it wasn't too far from the route I went there. I had a lunch menu that was served with soup and rice and I have to write that I was satisfied. The service is good and the kitchen is quick. And what I love spicy foods are also spicy. Yes, big praise and thanks.❤️

Some of the best Indian food in cologne absolutely. When my husband visited from America i brought him here for our last date because it's such a memorable meal no matter what you get. I've gotten lunch usually and never been disappointed. Also a nice spot with friends.

So disappointed! What a waste?! I ordered the mutton Kurma & Thikka Masala, with a butter Naan. I’ve got to say the both main dishes were so bad, so disappointing! didn’t taste as it should taste! The cook seemed had forgotten all the spices at home!! The one who decides for an Indian meal is awaiting to have the exact thing and not some other stuff! The Naan was so small, the mango Lassi was the only thing that I could drink so I could forget the bad taste of the meat and the chicken in the curries! I tried even the chicken from my partner’s meal, it stunk! Never again!

Except cheese naan nothing is good. Biryani taste like tomato rice. All the veg and non veg gravies taste same. Food price is also very high. Not worth for money. Not recommended for Indian food lovers.

A good Indian Restaurant in Cologne. We received a complementary herbal soup before the food. The Chai we ordered had a big portion and one Chai was enough to fill 2 tea cups easily. This was my first experience of Chai and it was very delicious. Food was good and the service was also good. One Portion was easily enough for 1 person. Affordable and a good experience.

Das Essen war echt gut. Das hat sehr gut zu meiner Vorstellung gepasst, was ich mir unter indischer Küche vorstelle. Der Service war aufmerksam und unaufdringlich. Man hat das Gefühl willkommen zu sein. Die Preise halten sich völlig im Rahmen und sind absolut angemessen. Was ein bisschen gefehlt hat, war indischer Charme beim Ambiente. Das wirkt sehr kühl und nicht typisch indisch. Das Restaurant wirkt ziemlich nackt und uneingerichtet.

Meine Frau und ich wollten dem Trubel von köln entfliehen da unser Sohn im Kinderwagen gerade eingeschlafen ist da hat es uns in die seitenstraße gezogen. Gott sei Dank zu diesem einzigartigen Restaurant. Von außen ist es unscheinbar innen aber einladend indisch :) Der Kellner macht einen Klasse Job und frägt immer nach dem rechten leider verstehe ich nicht warum nicht mehr los war denn als wir rein kamen saßen lediglich 4 Personen an einem anderen Tisch sonst war das Lokal leider leer. Jetzt zu diesem Gaumenschmaus an essen, ich finde keine Worte was diese Geschmacksexplosion im Mund auslöst. If you’re an Indian you will probably not like this place, food was below average. I ordered madras murgh and it tasted like tomato sauce. Wouldn’t really recommend if you’re looking for spicy and tasty Indian food.

Restaurant had a bad smell the kitchen is dirty and the food is disaster. The paneer tikka was uncooked you can literally taste the raw tomatoes and spices.

Ein wirklich schönes Restaurant mit tollem Service. Die Gerichte sind vielfältig und schmecken immer. Hier findet man wirklich für jeden etwas, egal ob vegetarisches, glutenfreies oder "normales" Essen.

Dall was much batter then baryani .... .. Restaurants staff thinking just to Curry Sauce round it in pan and it becomes food . ... People spend money so that they get good food but unfortunately we don't understand

Sehr sehr schlechte Qualität… Wir haben Biriani und Sweet Lacchi bestellt, das Biriani war total schmeck los kein Salz sondern Hähnchen war rau also es sieht weiß 🤮 und Sweet Lacchi hat kein Zucker, es schmeckt saur … wir haben noch nie diese schlechte Essen gegessen… nicht empfehlenswert leider

I ordered a Chicken Madras and what I received was a tasteless plate of colored sauce with raw pieces of ginger in it. I think the waiter cooked it. The restaurant was not busy. Edit: I have just received an email from Google to remove this comment. I do not give bad comments unless they are justified. This one was justified. I enjoy Indian food and cook it regularly. I was in Germany with a colleague 2 years ago on a business trip and wanted an Indian. Two of us walked into Rangoli and ordered 2 Chicken Madras. The two dishes came out and looked really nice. I tasted it and could taste nothing. I tried another mouthful, still nothing. A madras is supposed to be tasty and spicy. I called the waiter and explained to him that I could taste nothing from the dish. He took it off me went into the kitchen which was over to my right and he rattled around for a few minutes and came back out and said he "spiced it up a bit". So i tried it and I bit into a lump of raw ginger. It was the worst Indian that i have ever eaten in. I said to my colleague "eat up and lets forget that this ever happened". So to sum this up I still think that the waiter cooked my food that day, I still think that the madras was tasteless.
