Authentiek Indiaas eten. Alles was prima op orde. Indiaas bier, papadums met sausjes. Het eten was lekker, de jalferesi was goed gekruid, de masala was wat minder goed. De curries waren qua dikte goed. Wij gaan over heel de wereld Indiaas eten, zoals je kunt zien. Dit restaurant was ok, zeker de moeite waard om een keer gegeten te hebben.

Authentic Indian food. Everything was in perfect order. Indian beer, papadums with sauces. The food was tasty, the jalferesi was well seasoned, the masala was less good. The curries were good in terms of thickness. We eat Indian food all over the world, as you can see. This restaurant was ok, definitely worth eating once.

Very authentic restaurant and lovely employees. The four of us enjoyed dinner there and were extremely satisfied! The shop is a bit dark but the food was great.

Very nice indian restaurant. Definitely the best i tried in cologne. Starter plate for 2 with garlic naan extra was very good. The chicken so soft, juicy and tasty. Two different curry as main. Both so fingerlicking good, my mouth was like "wow" on every bite! The service great. We will come again.

A cozy, intimate and well-furnished restaurant. The staff was very kind; Very good food.

Ordered from Ganesha and had it delivered. The 1 liter Mango Lassi was delivered in a used Gerolsteiner bottle. The food was lightly seasoned and had hardly any taste. In the vegetable ball dish you could only find 4 small balls. None of this fits with the high prices, we had to throw away the Mango Lassi straight away. Unfortunately no recommendation.

Friendly service, Veg Thaali was as good as in North India. Restaurant tells me that they are 40 year old establishment and Sunil Dutt suggested the name.

Food was quite good, apart from a piece of chicken in the vegetarian dish. No excuse for that. People stopped asking for drinks after the first drink. Also waited a long time for the bill. Conclusion, it goes like this.

Delicious authentic food and nice waiters

A nice new experience that I was able to have in Cologne. The staff was extremely friendly and receptive to any questions I had about the food. I really enjoyed the food, as you would imagine good Indian food to be. The recommendation to visit came from a good friend who also had very good experiences with Ganesha. I will definitely come back. In any case, for me Ganesha is one of the best addresses I know of in the Cologne city center district!

Particularly noteworthy is the Mango Lassi, a real highlight! Despite the full house, the service was extremely courteous and attentive. The ambience is rustic but very cozy, and the noise level remained pleasant. The decor fits well with the style of the restaurant. The price-performance ratio is also good – completely appropriate for the quality offered. I can fully recommend Ganesha and will definitely come back!

The place is well taken care of, nothing spectacular but pretty. The waiters are lovely, super fast and super friendly, very pleasant. We ordered the garlic bread as a starter and although it was good, it was small. Then we ordered a plate of chicken with rice each, and it was good but nothing out of this world...the buttee one was better than the coconut one in my opinion, but they are not huge portions for the price. We liked it but not to return

A wonderful, friendly place that makes you feel at home and welcome from the minute you greet Ganpati at the entrance. I recommend the vegetarian Thali and starter plate, it saved Christmas this year.

Le riz et le plat étaient bons. Mais qu’il y avait peu d’agneau. Cinq ou six mini bouts pour un plat à 16€. Le nan par contre était sec. Autre chose : le circuit de la vaisselle sale. J’ai vu un serveur traîner deux piles d’assiettes sales en les faisant transiter par les toilettes. Surprenant comme circuit.

I ordered through Wolt. The main course was delicious, but unfortunately the raita sauce was no longer good. It tasted very bitter and was definitely no longer edible. When I told them over the phone, I was told that no one else had complained and that this couldn't be the case. Will not order there again.

Were here with 6 people. Reserved in advance. Good thing, because the restaurant was quickly busy, even during the week. The food was delicious, but the Knobi Naan didn't have enough garlic on it. But overall you can recommend the Ganesha.

There were 2 of us there today. Food was terrible, no spices at all, tasted like nothing, served cold. Unfriendly staff, they didn't even ask how the food was, they waited a long time until we could order. Table wasn't clean when we arrived, and still wasn't clean by the time we left. Never again!

It was my first time at the restaurant, and I didn’t enjoy it. I wouldn’t recommend the vegetable biryani—it was mostly rice with barely any vegetables. The menu said it included cottage cheese (panner), but I only found one tiny piece. Initially I thought the cook might have forgotten so I asked the waiter, and he told me that only one piece is standard. Coming from India, I know vegetable biryani usually has more vegetables and few cottage cheese pieces, so this was disappointing. This message is just a heads-up to save your money.

We really enjoyed this evening and have decided to come back to this hospitable place more often.

I recently visited Ganesha restaurant and had a mixed experience. The bhindi masala and dal makhani were just okay - flavorful but nothing extraordinary. On the other hand, the butter naan was fantastic! It was soft, warm, and complemented the dishes perfectly. Unfortunately, the tea was a letdown; it tasted bland and didn't have the robust flavor I was hoping for. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, but I’d recommend sticking to the naan and skipping the tea.

Today I had dinner there with a friend. The food was really tasty and the staff was very welcoming. One thing I didn't like was the air inside. For this reason I give one star less. The restaurant absolutely needs passive ventilation and fresh air can be allowed in (open the windows or separate the cooking area from the eating area. There is even a curtain on the entrance door that prevents the air from flowing in.
