I’m genuinely puzzled as to how this hotel has a 4-star rating. We ordered both mutton curry and biryani, and both dishes were extremely disappointing. The mutton curry was flavorless, with the mutton pieces clearly just boiled and tossed into a pre-made curry . It lacked any depth or richness that you’d expect from a well-prepared dish. The biryani was no better—it didn’t have the authentic biryani flavor and tasted like some other rice dish entirely. For a hotel with such a high rating, this experience was a huge letdown. We were left feeling very disappointed and unsatisfied.

Worst ever experience we faced here. Service and atmosphere is average but food especially south indian dishes we have never tasted such a worst mutton and chicken biriani..paying above 15€ for biriani we expect atleast a minimum level of quality and quantity wise its not enough for a small kid..really disappointed as we expected to have a good dinner in Germany.

You won’t find good Indian food here. The biryani is often dry and lacks flavor, with rice that’s either overcooked or undercooked. The mutton curry is just boiled meat mixed with pre-made spices, lacking the rich taste a proper mutton curry should have, and the same goes for the chicken curry. If they consistently serve this kind of food, the 4.7-star reviews are likely either fake or manipulated

Without question, the BEST and most authentic Indian restaurant in North Rhine-Westphalia, at least in Cologne. We have been customers here for almost 20 years and have never been disappointed!

The restaurant is filled with pretty good pictures and decorations from India, the atmosphere was pretty calm and the food was on point (Not mind blowing as well as no point to complain on anything ), tasted pretty good, the staff were also pretty good, would definitely recommend this restaurant for someone looking to get Indian food

Very good food, after the starter the weighter asked if we thought it was spicy, we both smiled and said, we only register sweetness, we gave it 0/7 spice scale. You can guess how the main dish was, we loved it, finally a restaurant that offers the authentic taste. Great food, funny and friendly waiters, great price.

We were here again today and, as always, very satisfied. The prices are moderate, the food is delicious and the service is very friendly and accommodating. Despite being Monday, it was quite busy today, which is why I recommend making a reservation.

What a find! My girlfriend and I were just out for a walk when we spotted this place. The smell coming from it was so good, we had to check it out. The food was amazing! Seriously, and the prices were good, which is always a plus. The people working there were super nice and very funny, they made us feel right at home. Oh, and they take cards, which made us go there in the first place, as we never have cash on hand.

I came here today with my family and I ordered butter chicken and that was the best butter chicken ever.I would recommend everybody to come here.

Went there spontaneously for dinner without a reservation. Very nice staff and very attentive. The food was brought to the table quickly and tasted really good. Definitely one of the best Indians in all of Cologne.

Just finished eating here. We had diner here with a group of 11. Warm welcome and you can already smell the nice flavours when you enter the restaurant. Service also excellent, but most important the was the food is amazing. We will come here again when we visit köln Thank you!!

There were nine of us at Ganesha today. In addition to the fact that the waitress really knew all the dishes on the menu including the corresponding number by heart, the food was extremely tasty and the service was super fast and friendly. Overall a very successful evening.

The restaurant is very close to Rudolfplatz (U), parking garage can be used under the hotel. We celebrated our wedding anniversary with 4 adults and 4 children. The menus have something for everyone. The prawns are very good and not spicy. Unfortunately the lamb was tough, but the sauce was delicious with the rice. Overall, well seasoned Indian. Although the restaurant is in the basement, it has been very warm now in summer, the interior is made of dark wood with wall paneling and carpets with Vishnu and Ganesha.

Very good place for lunch, no pre-made mixes, extremely tasty naan in several variations. The restaurant has been around for a long time, haven't been here in ages, but will now come regularly. Very good price-performance ratio.

We ate there two days in a row and despite our language barrier the staff was very patient and very understanding, gave lots of directions to help us, plus the dishes were excellent, go there without hesitation!

We went to Ganesha again this afternoon. As usual, we were served very friendly and quickly. The restaurant is very cozy and the food tasted excellent, as it did the first two times. The price/performance ratio is very good and we will be happy to come back in the future with friends to whom we have already raved about Ganesha. We are (as of April 2024) still very enthusiastic about our favorite Indian restaurant. If we can, we go there once a week and enjoy Indian cuisine in a cozy atmosphere.

The waiters were very and very attentive and nice. The restaurant itself was also pretty and authentic. The starters were okay to tasty. Unfortunately the main courses weren't tasty at all. :( They weren't seasoned at all and we had to add a lot of salt to both the rice and the food so that it tasted like something. It's a real shame. Maybe it was just the cook today but unfortunately we wouldn't come back.

We reserved a table for 7 p.m. and chose the menu for two people. The soup came quickly and tasted really good with the mango sparkling wine. The combination of different dishes, sauces and dips was just great! The service was very nice and accommodating, and above all, very personable and became more and more fun as the evening progressed! The ambience is very authentic and simple but gives a sweet and homely atmosphere! I would always recommend it and we will definitely come back again!!! 😇👍🏼🍴

What this restaurant in collaboration with Wolt offers as "food" is really questionable. The first thing you notice after opening the packaging is the lack of smell of Indian food. After seeing the unappetizing looking sauce, we each tried a spoonful of (too soft) rice with sauce. Unfortunately, both dishes ended up in the trash because they were really inedible. Unseasoned, strange consistency of the sauce (think of soup). The 7 chunks of “Butter Chicken” were not tested. The sauce of the vegetarian dish was so bad that the vegetable balls were not tried either. Definitely top 3 worst food deliveries. I recommend refraining from ordering from this restaurant!

Food delicious, butter chicken could have just used a little more seasoning. Service very friendly and quick. Waiting time for food is a little longer >45 minutes. However, the restaurant was full to capacity.
