Ganesha offers delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. The appetizers are well-prepared, though some are quite generous. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant!

‼️Absolutely terrible experience‼️Do not expect even basic hospitality from this place. We were a group of four, ordering food gradually as we ate, and the man who appeared to be the manager (tall, wearing glasses) suddenly became rude for no reason. He told us we must order everything at once and not separately, speaking to us in a completely disrespectful tone. When we calmly asked why he was being so rude, he doubled down, saying he would “do whatever he wants” and even raised his voice at us. His attitude was aggressive, unprofessional, and downright unacceptable. A manager behaving like this ruins the entire experience. If you value good service, avoid this restaurant. There are plenty of places where customers are treated with basic respect, this is clearly not one of them.

During our visit to Köln , Germany we visited Ganesh Restaurant twice. We really enjoyed the food and ambience. We were served by Paramjeet Singh and Santosh during our visits and their service added to our experience further. I would highly recommend the place to anyone looking for spicy and delicious Indian food and missing home ! Thank You 😄

A very popular, lively place with a lovely authentic feel. The food wasn't the best and my son's experience was dampened by a hair in his naan, but overall we had a good evening.

I haven't had such a bad Indian meal in a long time. The meal consisted almost entirely of rice and sauce, which also dripped off the plate. Everything was shoveled onto the plate with such carelessness. A complete disaster. What a shame.

The two of us ordered one Shahi Paneer with rice and one veggie Biryani, along with one Kingfisher beer each. The Shahi Paneer was very tasty, but not enough even for a small appetite. The biryani was okay; there are better options, but also too little. We ordered naan with it because we weren't full. The bill was €36.80. Card payments accepted.

The food was delicious, the service was good too, I liked that they explained what was what and whether it was mild or spicy.

Lovely restaurant, very friendly service, and delicious food. We arrived without a reservation, and the restaurant was completely full, but we were warmly welcomed and offered a drink at a table that was still available. We were then given a great seat where we had a wonderful meal. It took a little longer, but a good time knows no bounds. A drink was on the house. Very kind, but it wasn't necessary. Definitely worth a visit!

I was really looking forward to a lovely Indian evening, but unfortunately, my visit to "Ganesha" was a complete disappointment. Upon entering, I was struck by a slightly musty smell that didn't exactly pique my appetite. The decor seemed thrown together, almost as if someone had randomly gathered furniture from a flea market. The food, unfortunately, wasn't enough to compensate. My chicken tikka masala was swimming in a sauce that was far too oily, and the meat was dry and tough. The side dish – supposedly freshly baked naan – tasted more like reheated flatbread from the supermarket. The spices that one usually loves in Indian cuisine seemed completely unbalanced here: sometimes spicy without flavor, sometimes bland and without any character. As for the service: The staff was friendly, but completely overwhelmed. We waited almost an hour for our food, even though only three other tables were occupied. We had to reorder drinks several times because they were simply forgotten. The price was still on the high side, which only reinforced the poor overall impression. Conclusion: Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it – in a city with many good restaurants, I definitely wouldn't go here again.

The restaurant is relatively dark and very noisy. The service was very friendly, but I wasn't particularly impressed with the food. Overall, everything was okay, but I won't go there again. The flavor wasn't particularly refined. The naan with nuts and raisins was filled with a lot of coconut flakes, which was different from what I expected. The shahi paneer had a strong coconut milk flavor and was completely different from what I'm used to. I personally didn't like the quality of the wine by the glass.

Place is amazing! Staff are will to help and talk and are just in general good people. Food ranges from sweet and tasty to a nice kick to blowing you f****** face off. Restaurant is just a nice little place which feels comfortable and still fairly spacious. If you like curry or that type of cuisine or are just interested in some local food I really recommend

Authentiek Indiaas eten. Alles was prima op orde. Indiaas bier, papadums met sausjes. Het eten was lekker, de jalferesi was goed gekruid, de masala was wat minder goed. De curries waren qua dikte goed. Wij gaan over heel de wereld Indiaas eten, zoals je kunt zien. Dit restaurant was ok, zeker de moeite waard om een keer gegeten te hebben.

Authentic Indian food. Everything was in perfect order. Indian beer, papadums with sauces. The food was tasty, the jalferesi was well seasoned, the masala was less good. The curries were good in terms of thickness. We eat Indian food all over the world, as you can see. This restaurant was ok, definitely worth eating once.

Very nice indian restaurant. Definitely the best i tried in cologne. Starter plate for 2 with garlic naan extra was very good. The chicken so soft, juicy and tasty. Two different curry as main. Both so fingerlicking good, my mouth was like "wow" on every bite! The service great. We will come again.

A cozy, intimate and well-furnished restaurant. The staff was very kind; Very good food.

Ordered from Ganesha and had it delivered. The 1 liter Mango Lassi was delivered in a used Gerolsteiner bottle. The food was lightly seasoned and had hardly any taste. In the vegetable ball dish you could only find 4 small balls. None of this fits with the high prices, we had to throw away the Mango Lassi straight away. Unfortunately no recommendation.
