Perfect! Wonderful, I ate the VIP menu, a lot but exceptionally good! For me, the best Indian restaurant in Germany. I'd love to come back! Very friendly, attentive staff!

Expect to pay €7 for a one liter bottle of water... from the tap! That says a lot about the rest. Go on your way! They make you pay in cash (without specifying it at the start) and add consumption by sleight of hand... Check your bill carefully! Fortunately we went through the fork and with -50% it's barely worth the price paid.

The waiter constantly tried to pressure us into something (deciding faster, adding water to the order - we had a whole conversation. about hydration and how warm it was) -- up to a point of being rude. He also insisted on us leaving a review: asked us whether we had Instagram (did not want to accept that none of us admitted to having Instagram), and then asked for a Google review. Then, 2 of us had to wait for their food for 50 minutes while the others got theirs. Then, the waiter was shouting at his assistant right in front of us. And than, we were told we could only pay cash when the card reader was definitely working. When we pointed this out, the person in charge replied "but we did so much for you".. Won't go there again.

⚠️ Please check your invoice carefully! There were four of us eating there. A waitress came very quickly and asked whether we would trust us and whether he could recommend starters to us. Shortly afterwards we were brought four starters which we didn't know what they were and which we hadn't ordered. You then have to pay at the entrance, which is where the nasty surprise came. The four of us had to pay almost 200€, so almost 50€ per person for the starters, which we never found out how much they cost, 1 main course each for 17 to 20€ and drinks. We neither saw nor received an invoice. The waitress also said that some of the main dishes were on the house. Afterwards we realized that we either paid for something we didn't even consume or that the vegetarian starters were incredibly expensive. Rip off! The starters tasted good, my chosen main dish, Tandoori Paneer, was a disappointment. For 20€ I wasn't full and apart from the paneer cheese there were only 4 pieces of pepper and no sauce, so it was dry. The restaurant is nicely decorated. For me the price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all, so I don't recommend it!

Had one of the best Indian food in a very long time. The owner is amazing and very courteous. Really enjoyed the ambience and also the hospitality. We liked the place so much, we ended up visiting twice in a day 😎

Cool location, large menu and show cooking. We ordered Indian, which was good, but not better than other restaurants. Service was attentive, I just found paying at the exit a bit unusual. If you want to try Indian cross-over cuisine in a modern setting, this is the place.

After eating here for the first time about a year ago, I didn't actually plan on coming back. At that time we were there with a voucher book/gourmet block with a 4:2 voucher. We then let ourselves be talked into an offer that was supposedly much better, but then we had a rude awakening at the checkout. And two VIP menus were charged (2x 50€) and the two cheap main courses (2x approx. 15€) were canceled. The waiter had actually promised us that the two VIP menus would only cost half as much with the voucher. Supposedly a misunderstanding that could no longer be corrected. A strange feeling after leaving the restaurant. We also had a strange moment while eating. We ordered 4 mango lassi, two were in the VIP menu and two were “normal”. I deliberately wrote this here because there are differences in size: the mango lassis in the menu are smaller than the ones that can be ordered on the menu. Given the amount of communication that took place beforehand, that might have been worth mentioning. Positive: The food was delicious and well prepared for anyone with an Instagram account. Now to the reason for my review: Today I was there for the second time after an old friend suggested Ginti and More for lunch. She had reserved there through “The Fork” for a 50% discount. I only had one goal: not to let myself be talked into the VIP menu again. When we arrived at the place we chose two things from the menu: I had the lunch menu (lentil soup, paneer, espresso) for €16, she had a chicken massala for €12. After ordering, another waiter suddenly came, took the (lunch) cards from us and gave us new menus with the note that “The Fork” must be ordered from the other cards and lunch menu is not possible either. So we ordered the same chicken masala for €22 and a paneer for €15. Then there were two lentil soups for just under €7 each, of which only one arrived in the end. After we had already been asked twice if we would like naan bread and said no, the waiter came back and exchanged the cards with us and asked us if we also wanted to order rice with the paneer and chicken massala. Up until that point we had assumed that it was priced at €22 or €15 for a main course. But it probably wasn't. We then received a small, insufficient bowl of rice for which the bill ended up being almost €12. Maybe we could have asked for more rice, but the waiter didn't understand German/English well. Maybe you could also answer the review here about whether rice can be reordered for free. That would be helpful for other visitors. The chicken massala was also only 6 small pieces with a green dip, but otherwise no sauce. So we weren't full afterwards, but at least we got a 50% discount on the €55 for the meal (drinks separately). Overall 3 out of 5 stars.

I have been living in Germany for almost 6 years now. Tried a lot of Indian restaurants naturally, but none of them matched this one. The ambience, the food and the NAAN was truly authentic and the food was fine. The fact that they have Sula wine all the way from India in their wine selection was a pleasant surprise. Once of the best Indian restaurants in Cologne and in my opinion Germany too. I had the Madras curry with rice and naan. I could easily pinpoint the native flavors and the freshness of the ingredients. The owner Ajayji and staff are super friendly and truly nice people. Would recommend anyone wanting to experience the Indian hospitality at a fine dining restaurant.

This is nothing less than a shock !! In Cologne, Ginti has been in the food business for years, and this their 2nd opening, you'd expect better. Food was an absolute disaster. Firstly, using cream (Sahne) as a curry base is simply unacceptable for a proper restaurant—you’re not a street kiosk. We repeatedly asked the staff, in both English and Hindi, to prepare authentic food, but our requests were completely ignored. Overly sweet, inauthentic curries. Secondly, when we pointed out the food was bad, the staff went silent, acting like they couldn’t care less. I’m honestly disappointed and found their attitude so unprofessional. In this case I would be skeptical for the positive reviews . I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Abzocker und Betrüger!! Vorsicht vor diesem Restaurant!! Auf keinen Fall hingehen... Wir wurden überfreundlich, fast schleimig, vermutlich vom Chef begrüßt und zum Tisch gebracht. Als er hörte, dass wir keine Vorspeisen wollten, bot er an, uns eine Platte für vier Personen zu machen. Wir lehnten ab. Nach einer Weile kam er wieder und fragte, ob wir bei Instagram seien. Wenn wir eine Story über das Essen und sein Restaurant machen würden, bekämen wir die Vorspeisenplatte gratis. Wir lehnten ab. Das allein fanden wir schon übergriffig! Das Mineralwasser mit Kohlensäure war leicht aufgesprudeltes Leitungswasser (berechnet mit 6,90€!!). Das Essen war okay, aber nichts besonderes. Mein Mann wollte Brot statt Reis zu seinem Gericht. Bei anderen Indern ist das eine Selbstverständlichkeit. Hier wurde das Brot mit 4,90€ berechnet. Unglaublich! Zum Brot gab es zwei Dips, die es in anderen Restaurants kostenlos vorab gibt. Hier wurde jeder Dip mit 3,90€ berechnet. Aber das Beste kam beim Bezahlen... Da wir nicht am Tisch zahlen konnten, ging mein Mann nach vorne. Der Chef war nicht mehr aufgetaucht. Das übrige Personal sprach nur wenig Deutsch. Zunächst hieß es, man könne nicht mit Karte zahlen. Als mein Mann sich weigerte, ging es auf einmal doch. Auf dem Lesegerät tauchte dann auf einmal der doppelte Rechnungsbetrag auf! Dann hieß es, das Gerät hätte die Karte nicht gelesen, obwohl schon die Anzeige "Zahlung akzeptiert" gekommen war!! Eigentlich ein Fall für eine Anzeige...

We ordered 4 dishes, butter chicken, shahi paneer, chicken tikka and chicken kadai. I want to say I am Indian, North Indian and I have never eaten such a tasteless, underwhelming, and complete nonsense food. This is Not Indian food. Each curry was overloaded with cream, and salt. How can one mess butter chicken, it didn’t even taste anything like it. I would in my life never visit this restaurant again and would discourage anyone. There are plenty more Indian restaurants in Köln. Skip this one.

The food was very good, but the service was unpleasantly intrusive - we were literally forced to place another order, even though we had clearly indicated that we didn't want anything more. This greatly affected the entire experience.

Unfortunately we didn't feel welcome. We had reserved a table for two and got a table for six people. We asked if others would be added. This was answered in the negative and we then sat down right in the middle. Afterwards we were asked every 2 minutes what we would like to eat and drink. This was so stressful for us, we could hardly ask any questions and made a decision very quickly. We had the feeling we did something wrong, maybe because of the seats!? We don't know. No smile, no nice gesture, very strange service. Starter was very tasty, main course ok... Restaurant very nice. After just an hour we were completely finished eating, which is actually a shame that we allowed ourselves to be so stressed out. We won't come again. Addendum: As we were leaving, the owner asked us with genuine interest how it was for us and when we answered him honestly, he came to meet us. This was a nice gesture.

Terrible service and I can only agree with the numerous negative reviews. We were asked directly about Instagram to advertise when we said we hadn't just been looked at stupidly. The service is absolutely intrusive, if you don't order extra water or starters you are not welcome here. There were also some things that weren't quite correct when it came to billing and things were added that we didn't order. Would never come again, not even with a voucher.

Nie wieder! Obwohl das Essen gut war, verging uns der Geschmack, als wir zur Kasse kamen. Unsere Bestellung belief sich über 47,60€ und zahlen mussten wir 72,40€! Die beiläufige Frage ob wir Reis dazu haben möchten und vorher etwas Naan, hat uns also etwa 25€ gekostet! In anderen Restaurants bekommt man oft ungefragt zuvor Dipps und Brot, hier war es Abzocke. Dazu kam, dass wir nur bar bezahlen konnten und auch keinen Kassenbon bekommen haben. Das riecht in jeder Beziehung nach Betrug!

The food is good but the service leaves something to be desired. The server offers to give us an entry in exchange for a story on Instagram. We refuse but he still brings us an unordered dish. Disaster!!! Were there today for the first time and the last time. We've been ripped off! When we paid, we noticed that they were overcharging. After several discussions, a 5er was handed to us in a very unfriendly manner. (Which is still not accurate) There is also no receipt where you can trace it. The environment and food were very nice. The waiters were attentive, the complimentary salad from the chef came to the table and it was very delicious. During the meal, the owner of the restaurant came to our table and asked, "Are you satisfied?" Everything was really good enough to come back again, we chose this place because it was halal. And finally, the owner of the venue arranged a place for us to pray, thank you again for everything ☺️

We also found out beforehand whether our voucher could be used, which was confirmed in the affirmative. In the end, the credit was not possible and we paid €68 for a simple lunch with a soft drink for three people. However, what made us particularly dissatisfied was the customer service, which was neither friendly nor accommodating - definitely not again!

Check your bill cause they scam people here! We were a table of 8 and when we arrived they encouraged us to post stuff on our social media in exchange for 'gifts'. We did it and then when were were in the queue to pay suddenly more sides and sauces appeared on our bill. We were charged for the 'gift' sauces. This apparently happens a lot according to the comments. They reply saying its not up to the standards yet it keeps happening and its the restaurant owner that tried to scam us so they just don't care... The server was also very pushy in how he tried to make us get more drinks and more sides and was criticising us for ordering not enough in his mind. The food and place was fine though a bit pricy.

We were a larger group. We ordered drinks and they tried to sell us 3 or 4 fake waters. Next we ordered food with HG and appetizers which we then shared. In the end, these were simply added to the bill several times, even though the number of starters ordered was not correct at all! Overall the shop owner wanted!!! Deduct €50 from us. We were also asked several times by various MA + shop owners if we could do an Instastory as advertising, then we would get a discount/a greeting from the kitchen. Neither the greeting came nor the discount was deducted at the end. As I said, instead they tried to give us a specially ordered sauce for €8!!! To charge and several drinks and appetizers were tried twice to charge. All in all, delicious food but never again!

Scammy. Guests are repeatedly intrusively encouraged to actively advertise on Instagram and to tag and follow Ginti, supposedly for a "greeting from the kitchen". When it came to the bill, they tried to charge four times for small dishes like bread and dips. In the end, we were supposed to pay around €56 more than we actually consumed, and the scam was immediately apparent when we paid individually. When we confronted them, the owner started to get very angry. He wanted to see all of our Instagram stories (???) and asked if we followed "him". Very strange considering we were a group of women. Then he just repeated a word several times that wasn't even on the menu and insisted we had gotten this... product??? Because of his intrusive social media comments, we had videos of the food and were able to prove that we were right. Except that instead of answering, he turned away and started swearing in another language. In the end, he turned bright red and we were able to leave the place without paying the additional fee—but only because I'm from Cologne myself. Right at the beginning, the waiters and the owner asked us if we were tourists, and the majority of the group only spoke English and French. He actually thought he could rip us off just because we were women who spoke a different language. In the end, I let out the bravado that was instilled in me and made it absolutely clear that I would rather call the police than pay this magically conjured-up bill. Ginti is a pure money trap and bills very dubiously, BEGGING guests to advertise for them on social media and can't even manage to scam you because they're too bad for it themselves. Guys, this is really incredibly embarrassing. Get a marketing team instead of begging for advertising space like bots. When we asked what we'd get for the advertising, they even tried to steal from us. This is an endless disgrace. On top of all that, the waiter tried to sell us 4-6 bottles of water for 8 people. When we declined, confused, he commented that we were "economical" and a "frugal group." He was very pushy and tried to force us to advertise and buy items that no one had asked for. I have NEVER experienced anything like this before. The standards here are beneath contempt.

Beware, this restaurant is run by scammers ! They tried to charge us extra for food we didn't order and looking at the comments this isn't a one-time thing, they try to pretend it's not their standard but it is, don't go there if you value honesty and fairness

We zijn 1 dag in Keulen en hadden trek in Indiaas eten. Vlakbij ons hotel zit Ginti & More met goede reviews, dus we reserveren een tafel voor 3 om 19:00 uur. Leuke zaak, gezellig druk. We bestellen Naan-brood vooraf….heerlijk. Er wordt ons gevraagd of we een story willen posten op Instagram, dan krijgen we een leuke attentie. Geen probleem, doen we! Avondeten is Tandoori Chicken, Butterchicken en Haus-steak. Ook dit is lekker! Alleen het afrekenen van ons diner zorgt voor een domper en bittere nasmaak. Onbeschoft, niet aardig en bijna intimiderend wordt met nadruk “gevraagd” of we onze Instagram-story hebben gepost en of we ze volgen. Als we dit meerdere keren bevestigen en laten zien, krijgen we geen attentie. Wel een (in verhouding) hoge rekening en een extra biertje gerekend die niet besteld is en we ook niet hebben gekregen. Jammer! Eten is echt lekker, de bediening is niet goed. Geen aanrader….

Our server, who I believe is also the owner, provided outstanding service—attentive, professional, and genuinely hospitable. He also gave us a complimentary mango lassi, which was absolutely delicious. Every aspect of the dining experience exceeded expectations. Wir waren gestern mit einer größeren Gruppe dort, es war sehr gemütlich mit einem schönen modernen Ambiente, Open Kitchen, man konnte sich durch einen abgeschlossenen, aber transparenten Bereich ruhig und gut unterhalten, der Chef war sehr aufmerksam und nett, das Essen ausgesprochen köstlich, schön angerichtet und vielseitig, die Getränkekarte war ebenfalls sehr gut aufgestellt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Alles top👍

We were there yesterday with a larger group, it was very cozy with a nice modern ambience, open kitchen, you could have a quiet and good conversation through a closed but transparent area, the boss was very attentive and nice, the food was extremely delicious, beautifully presented and varied, the drinks menu was also very well laid out. Definitely not suitable for delivery. 7:40 p.m. Food ordered on an average Tuesday evening (delivery time stated 40-65 minutes). After the first hour, wait about 40 minutes to see the “almost there” display. At 9:25 p.m. I had the nerve to call, after 20 rings someone finally answered and then only one sentence came: “everything is on the way, thank you” and I immediately hung up. No hello, no chance to ask or answer. Unfriendly and seemingly overwhelmed. 9:35 p.m. after almost 2 hours!!!! Food finally here. At least the driver was nice and the food was good and still warm. But honestly, if you don't have the ability to deliver decent food, you should just not offer it and concentrate on on-site service. My review refers exclusively to the delivery business. I can't judge what the quality is on site.

Highly recommended! We came across this restaurant through the gourmet block and had two main courses and naan with two dips as a starter. The service was very friendly and quick. The food was very tasty and the main courses were served with rice. The atmosphere is modern, which we really like. Through the gourmet block we got the cheaper main course for free.

It was the first and last time I was at the Ginti & More Bar in Cologne and initially had a good impression: the restaurant was clean, the kitchen was visible - something that I know differently from Indian restaurants and found positive. I ordered butter chicken and two small appetizers. Unfortunately, the chicken in the Butter Chicken was not tender, but instead was riddled with tendons, making it barely edible. When I mentioned this to service, I was simply told that it was "normal" - definitely disappointing for €22.90, especially because there were only four pieces of chicken in total in the meal. The real shock, however, came with the bill. Instead of paying at the table, the bill is charged at the front - and numerous dishes and drinks that I had not ordered were added to my bill. Despite repeated advice from me, I was assured that the cash register system “already knew what it was doing”. I ended up paying over €40 for things I didn't consume. It was only afterwards, when I read the Google reviews, that I realized that I wasn't the only one who had this experience. It seems to be a common practice that I find completely dubious. In addition, the service seemed unfriendly and rushed - I had the feeling that I was being pushed away from the table as people were constantly clearing away and asking if I was ready. Overall, a disappointing experience that I definitely won't repeat. Anyone who eats here should check the bill carefully!

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Indian restaurant and it was an absolute taste explosion! From the first to the last forkful, every dish was a delight. The spices were perfectly balanced, the ingredients were fresh and the preparation was masterful. Especially the butter chicken and the homemade naan were to die for! The service was also outstanding - friendly, attentive and always with a smile. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with an authentic Indian flair.
