While the food was very good, the service was unpleasantly pushy—we were practically forced to order another meal, even though we had clearly indicated that we didn't want anything else. This seriously detracted from the entire experience.

Unfortunately we didn't feel welcome. We had reserved a table for two and got a table for six people. We asked if others would be added. This was answered in the negative and we then sat down right in the middle. Afterwards we were asked every 2 minutes what we would like to eat and drink. This was so stressful for us, we could hardly ask any questions and made a decision very quickly. We had the feeling we did something wrong, maybe because of the seats!? We don't know. No smile, no nice gesture, very strange service. Starter was very tasty, main course ok... Restaurant very nice. After just an hour we were completely finished eating, which is actually a shame that we allowed ourselves to be so stressed out. We won't come again. Addendum: As we were leaving, the owner asked us with genuine interest how it was for us and when we answered him honestly, he came to meet us. This was a nice gesture.

No, far too narrow and far too loud atmosphere

Terrible service and I can only agree with the numerous negative reviews. We were asked directly about Instagram to advertise when we said we hadn't just been looked at stupidly. The service is absolutely intrusive, if you don't order extra water or starters you are not welcome here. There were also some things that weren't quite correct when it came to billing and things were added that we didn't order. Would never come again, not even with a voucher.

The food is good but the service leaves something to be desired. The server offers to give us an entry in exchange for a story on Instagram. We refuse but he still brings us an unordered dish. After 5 minutes of talking, he finally removes the dish. He clears up before everyone has finished eating, they push us out...

Disaster!!! Were there today for the first time and the last time. We've been ripped off! When we paid, we noticed that they were overcharging. After several discussions, a 5er was handed to us in a very unfriendly manner. (Which is still not accurate) There is also no receipt where you can trace it. The staff was also unfriendly and overwhelmed. Our table neighbor was also incorrectly calculated. ‼️ So be careful ‼️

The environment and food were very nice. The waiters were attentive, the complimentary salad from the chef came to the table and it was very delicious. During the meal, the owner of the restaurant came to our table and asked, "Are you satisfied?" Everything was really good enough to come back again, we chose this place because it was halal. And finally, the owner of the venue arranged a place for us to pray, thank you again for everything ☺️

Didn't like the ambience, the tables were too close to each other, it was literally like sitting next to someone else and having dinner. The starters were average - pani puri and gobi manchurian.

After we declined the starters, we were given two sauces alongside the main courses, which were later charged €8. We also found out beforehand whether our voucher could be used, which was confirmed in the affirmative. In the end, the credit was not possible and we paid €68 for a simple lunch with a soft drink for three people. However, what made us particularly dissatisfied was the customer service, which was neither friendly nor accommodating - definitely not again!

Scammy. Guests are repeatedly intrusively encouraged to actively advertise on Instagram and to tag and follow Ginti, supposedly for a "greeting from the kitchen". When it came to the bill, they tried to charge four times for small dishes like bread and dips. In the end, we were supposed to pay around €56 more than we actually consumed, and the scam was immediately apparent when we paid individually. When we confronted them, the owner started to get very angry. He wanted to see all of our Instagram stories (???) and asked if we followed "him". Very strange considering we were a group of women. Then he just repeated a word several times that wasn't even on the menu and insisted we had gotten this... product??? Because of his intrusive social media comments, we had videos of the food and were able to prove that we were right. Except that instead of answering, he turned away and started swearing in another language. In the end, he turned bright red and we were able to leave the place without paying the additional fee—but only because I'm from Cologne myself. Right at the beginning, the waiters and the owner asked us if we were tourists, and the majority of the group only spoke English and French. He actually thought he could rip us off just because we were women who spoke a different language. In the end, I let out the bravado that was instilled in me and made it absolutely clear that I would rather call the police than pay this magically conjured-up bill. Ginti is a pure money trap and bills very dubiously, BEGGING guests to advertise for them on social media and can't even manage to scam you because they're too bad for it themselves. Guys, this is really incredibly embarrassing. Get a marketing team instead of begging for advertising space like bots. When we asked what we'd get for the advertising, they even tried to steal from us. This is an endless disgrace. On top of all that, the waiter tried to sell us 4-6 bottles of water for 8 people. When we declined, confused, he commented that we were "economical" and a "frugal group." He was very pushy and tried to force us to advertise and buy items that no one had asked for. I have NEVER experienced anything like this before. The standards here are beneath contempt.

Beware, this restaurant is run by scammers ! They tried to charge us extra for food we didn't order and looking at the comments this isn't a one-time thing, they try to pretend it's not their standard but it is, don't go there if you value honesty and fairness

Top cuisine and nice and courteous service. We really enjoy coming here to eat. A great and diverse selection for meat eaters, vegans and vegetarians.

Check your bill cause they scam people here! We were a table of 8 and when we arrived they encouraged us to post stuff on our social media in exchange for 'gifts'. We did it and then when were were in the queue to pay suddenly more sides and sauces appeared on our bill. We were charged for the 'gift' sauces. This apparently happens a lot according to the comments. They reply saying its not up to the standards yet it keeps happening and its the restaurant owner that tried to scam us so they just don't care... The server was also very pushy in how he tried to make us get more drinks and more sides and was criticising us for ordering not enough in his mind. The food and place was fine though a bit pricy.

We were a larger group. We ordered drinks and they tried to sell us 3 or 4 fake waters. Next we ordered food with HG and appetizers which we then shared. In the end, these were simply added to the bill several times, even though the number of starters ordered was not correct at all! Overall the shop owner wanted!!! Deduct €50 from us. We were also asked several times by various MA + shop owners if we could do an Instastory as advertising, then we would get a discount/a greeting from the kitchen. Neither the greeting came nor the discount was deducted at the end. As I said, instead they tried to give us a specially ordered sauce for €8!!! To charge and several drinks and appetizers were tried twice to charge. All in all, delicious food but never again!

During my visit to Cologne, Germany, I had the pleasure of dining at Ginti and More Bar and Restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience. The ambiance was immaculate, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was nothing short of amazing, showcasing authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. Our server, who I believe is also the owner, provided outstanding service—attentive, professional, and genuinely hospitable. He also gave us a complimentary mango lassi, which was absolutely delicious. Every aspect of the dining experience exceeded expectations. If you’re in the Cologne area, I highly recommend Ginti and More Bar and Restaurant. It’s a true five-star experience.

We were there yesterday with a larger group, it was very cozy with a nice modern ambience, open kitchen, you could have a quiet and good conversation through a closed but transparent area, the boss was very attentive and nice, the food was extremely delicious, beautifully presented and varied, the drinks menu was also very well laid out. The best Indian far and wide, really great food and the best service

Definitely not suitable for delivery. 7:40 p.m. Food ordered on an average Tuesday evening (delivery time stated 40-65 minutes). After the first hour, wait about 40 minutes to see the “almost there” display. At 9:25 p.m. I had the nerve to call, after 20 rings someone finally answered and then only one sentence came: “everything is on the way, thank you” and I immediately hung up. No hello, no chance to ask or answer. Unfriendly and seemingly overwhelmed. 9:35 p.m. after almost 2 hours!!!! Food finally here. At least the driver was nice and the food was good and still warm. But honestly, if you don't have the ability to deliver decent food, you should just not offer it and concentrate on on-site service. My review refers exclusively to the delivery business. I can't judge what the quality is on site.

Highly recommended! We came across this restaurant through the gourmet block and had two main courses and naan with two dips as a starter. The service was very friendly and quick. The food was very tasty and the main courses were served with rice. The atmosphere is modern, which we really like. Through the gourmet block we got the cheaper main course for free.

I'm a regular at Ginti and today was the first time at Ginti & More - everything was perfect and especially the seasoning was just right! From now on I'll be a regular here! :)

It was the first and last time I was at the Ginti & More Bar in Cologne and initially had a good impression: the restaurant was clean, the kitchen was visible - something that I know differently from Indian restaurants and found positive. I ordered butter chicken and two small appetizers. Unfortunately, the chicken in the Butter Chicken was not tender, but instead was riddled with tendons, making it barely edible. When I mentioned this to service, I was simply told that it was "normal" - definitely disappointing for €22.90, especially because there were only four pieces of chicken in total in the meal. The real shock, however, came with the bill. Instead of paying at the table, the bill is charged at the front - and numerous dishes and drinks that I had not ordered were added to my bill. Despite repeated advice from me, I was assured that the cash register system “already knew what it was doing”. I ended up paying over €40 for things I didn't consume. It was only afterwards, when I read the Google reviews, that I realized that I wasn't the only one who had this experience. It seems to be a common practice that I find completely dubious. In addition, the service seemed unfriendly and rushed - I had the feeling that I was being pushed away from the table as people were constantly clearing away and asking if I was ready. Overall, a disappointing experience that I definitely won't repeat. Anyone who eats here should check the bill carefully!

Simply great! I had dinner at “Ginti and more” today and I was really impressed. The butter chicken was incredibly tasty, perfectly seasoned, creamy and simply great in terms of taste. One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to so far! The atmosphere is cozy, the service is super friendly, and the quality of the food speaks for itself. Definitely in my top 3 favorite restaurants. I would love to come back!

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Indian restaurant and it was an absolute taste explosion! From the first to the last forkful, every dish was a delight. The spices were perfectly balanced, the ingredients were fresh and the preparation was masterful. Especially the butter chicken and the homemade naan were to die for! The service was also outstanding - friendly, attentive and always with a smile. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with an authentic Indian flair. If you love real Indian cuisine or want to get to know it, you shouldn't miss this restaurant. I'll definitely be back! 5 stars!

We ordered lunch. When we went to pay, they said cash only when they had card readers there. I was overcharged for my dish and they said it was a printer mistake on the menu and I still needed to pay. When I said that was illegal, they gave me the menu price. Shame, the food was good but they will take advantage of you.

Ginti is over rated. Overpriced and quantity is so small. Special shoutout to that short weird waiter working there. He is passive aggressive. He doesn't have much patience and come out rude. The waiter is very unwelcoming which automatically makes your experience not good enough.

For those on a small budget, only the day ticket from Monday to Friday is probably worth it. The service is very accommodating. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it's expensive there and even for a small snack (street food), which according to the manager was appetizers, we paid €50 including drinks for two people. If you order naan bread, you should know that the sauces also cost an extra €3.90. Unfortunately, payment with EC card was also refused. Please take cash with you.

I was traveling in Cologne for work and was looking for something to eat with my colleagues in the evening. We turned into the street which was totally inconspicuous. We then saw this restaurant and went straight in. We wouldn't be disappointed, the service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. Just something different.

The food tasted very good, but it was far too crowded and the workers were too overworked. In addition, you don't need to make a reservation at all because you have to wait anyway.

I've never had such a strange experience with service. Somehow three people served us at the same time and none of them could really speak German. In itself it wouldn't have been a problem to communicate in English, but it would have had to be mentioned first that you didn't speak German. We wanted to sit for a while after our meal and were asked five times if we were ready. Once is still ok. But they just wanted to throw us out. And we didn't sit there for 5 hours and blocked tables. There were still enough places available and we were there for less than an hour. I just thought that was cheeky and somehow totally stressed us out. Then I wanted to have something packed for me, which almost went wrong because I wasn't understood properly again. Ultimately I was allowed to do it myself. Weird shop and the food was also mediocre at best. Butter chicken is supposed to be tender, right? I would definitely avoid the store.

Everything is great! A special thank you for the excellent hospitality and first class service. From start to finish everything was perfect – friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere and an all-round great experience. Gladly again!

Disappointing experience – beware of hidden costs and questionable service! Unfortunately, our dinner at Ginti & More was a complete failure. The service was inattentive and unfriendly. The staff showed no effort to ensure guests had a pleasant stay. The price-performance ratio was absolutely not justified. Another annoyance was billing. We were not given an invoice, only a verbal sum was given. We had the strong impression that they were overcharging. Warning to future guests: Be sure to insist on an itemized invoice! It seems like opaque prices are being used here. In addition, they tried to sell us dishes without giving any information about the price. Only after repeated inquiries was the price given, and it was unreasonably high. And as if that wasn't enough, we asked to take an uneaten portion with us. The waiter reluctantly brought us an empty cardboard box, simply placed it on the table and told us to pack the food ourselves - completely unprofessional behavior. Overall, an absolutely disappointing experience. Unfriendly service, hidden costs and lack of transparency – we cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances and will definitely not be coming back.

This restaurant is a disgrace! Only cash is asked here. The service is a disaster - if you want to have a great evening without a headache you should avoid this restaurant. Something is going very wrong here. We were even tricked while eating - the staff don't care about your concerns. Piece of meat was stale and tasted rancid. We were assigned a prepared menu and were told that only these 3 dishes were available today. Others were told something different. Completely deception!

3-4 stars! To eat: Really tasty, authentic and nicely prepared. The portions were rather small for the price. The fact that there was only one bowl of rice for 4 dishes was very little. When we asked, we got new ones straight away! Unfortunately I cannot say whether we were charged for the additional rice. If not absolutely great! About the service: The owner of the restaurant was very attentive and accommodating, the staff needs night training. Empty plates were cleared away even though others were still eating, and there was always no demand for anything else to drink. The ambience was nicely decorated, modern, elegant with a slight Indian touch. No classic Indian furnishings or anything like that.

The restaurant could have done better if the owner was perhaps more honest. I did the math and even though a bowl of rice that we didn't order was added to us and we didn't even touch it, the owner wanted more than €10 off the original price. In addition, he urges guests to take more when ordering. We still had half of it on the table because we added a little. My conclusion is that unfortunately I will not come again. FYI: you won't do anything, the countless comments about it have existed before and continue to exist. It's a real shame, but you probably want to keep it up with your customers.

The restaurant itself was nice. Communication was a small drawback: card payment was not possible that day, which was not communicated beforehand. The food is really tasty, the owner is a very rude man, because I know when you have overstepped your boundaries. Usually you should treat your customers with respect. However, you don't have that case here. The service is completely overloaded and things are being included in your bill that you didn't actually order. Transparency has no place here. Known this place since 2022, and it’s still have the highest quality of indian food, It became our favorite restaurant in Koln.I would recommend the butter chicken, papri chaat and the butter naan.Highly recommended.

I'm in a restaurant, not a bazaar. Recommendations are fine, but the manner in which they are made is not. - Sauces were simply placed on the table in front of us and then tried to charge us for them afterwards. This is a method that simply doesn't work and that's why it gets these 2 stars. I want to eat what I order and not have the bill pushed up through the back door.

It was an unforgettable evening with a very good friend. We enjoyed every moment so much - the food couldn't have been better! Really top class 😍 The nice thing is that in addition to Indian food, there are also other specialties, such as Ashak (Afghan style) or the truffle fries were incredibly good! Heartily recommended. Food was okay but I ate at many better indians places in my life. Service was terrible, it felt like they did not want to be there.

So far we have always eaten really well here, especially the tandoori dishes and the butter chicken are super tasty. Today we ordered the Wagyu steak twice and it was very stringy and absolutely not a good steak… definitely not worth €45. The rest of the dishes were very tasty!

Only thing good was the ambience. The bhindi kurkari, which is supposed to be a speciality was horrible and was smelling of old oil usage. On raising the issue received a very lacklustre response from the owner. Got tap water filled in glass bottles but was charged for a mineral water. Overall taste was bad, would not recommend
