Beautifully presented dishes, the taste of which was completely disappointing. The dumplings were extremely dry, the tomato soup was incredibly sour, overly sour, and served incredibly hot with croutons inside, which, naturally, had become soggy by the time the soup had even cooled. The papri chaat was good, but it had an insane amount of batter. The matcha latte was also so-so. A rather disappointing experience, considering the place's high rating and not-so-low prices.

I hardly knew anything about Indian cuisine before, but this restaurant really introduced me to it! 😍 Everything was incredibly aromatic, spicy, and delicious. My favorite appetizer was the one in the first photo—so fresh and crispy! :) The restaurant is lovely and very cozy. I especially love the open kitchen—you can see how everything is prepared and how clean it is. Overall, a fantastic experience; I'll definitely be back! 😊

Our visit to Ginti&More was truly some of the best Indian food we've ever eaten, not just in Cologne. Every dish, from the appetizers to the main courses, was bursting with aromatic flavors and incredibly delicious. We can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We visited Ginti and More in Cologne, and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations. The food was okay, but the service was absolutely disappointing. All the dishes were served at the same time, so some of them got cold. We didn’t receive any cutlery at first, and when we asked questions about the food, the waitress seemed very uninterested — she even pointed at the appetizers with her finger instead of explaining what they were. At the end of the evening, we tried to share our feedback with the owner, but he showed no interest at all in what we had to say about the poor service. Overall: decent food, but extremely unprofessional and unfriendly service. Would absolutely not recommend this place.

The food was far below expectations – both the starters and main courses were brought out at the same time, and the quality felt neither fresh nor well prepared. The service was rushed and unfriendly; we got the feeling that the staff found us annoying for simply asking basic questions. When we tried to speak with the manager about these issues, he was completely uninterested and made no effort to resolve the situation. Despite our complaints, we were not offered any compensation or discount, and the overall attitude felt very unprofessional.

A very pleasant and stylish atmosphere and delicious, authentic food. We especially enjoyed the cheese naan and would definitely recommend it! The VIP menu is also definitely worth it if you want to try a little bit of everything.

Since I loved the original Ginti from "the good old days" (the food was truly addictive), Ginti & More was a bit of a disappointment. The ambiance isn't bad. Very modern and nicely decorated. The food was okay and kind of tasty, but it didn't come close to the original Ginti (which is still there). On top of that, we had to pack up our leftover food ourselves. My sweetheart got an €11 discount for that... oh well... The owner suggested we go back to his "old" Ginti, since they have different chefs and we'll get that exact same flavor. We will 😚... Guys... it's great to evolve and maybe try something new. But "more and more modern" doesn't necessarily mean better. Ultimately, it's a matter of opinion and taste. More and more modern doesn't necessarily mean better. I'm still looking forward to "my" old Ginti... when we go there and try that food again... I'm really looking forward to it 😘😘😘

A lovely atmosphere, really well located in Cologne. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The portions were generous and the staff very attentive. We will definitely be back! My personal recommendation is the VIP menu; it includes many delicious dishes and is also perfect for sharing.

I waited over an hour and a half for my ordered food. The wait was announced as 30-50 minutes. Never again! The photo shows a portion of mango chicken for over 25(!) euros. Poor value for money. Addendum: The restaurant is trying to have this negative, but factually accurate, review deleted for "defamation."

Is there another Ginti & more in Cologne...? Very disappointing - the three different main courses in the VIP menu each had exactly one (!) piece of meat - unfortunately dry - in a lot of sauce, with no vegetables or anything like that. The lavish decorations from the TV report weren't visible on the plates. The service was okay at first - but even though only one other table was occupied, there were times when the service was not seen for a long time and we had to be called. The ambiance was very nice with an open kitchen - but we certainly won't be back, as there are many good Indian restaurants in Cologne.

The food was okay, but unfortunately, the price-performance ratio wasn't right. Two small samosas as a starter cost €9, while dishes without sauce cost an additional €7. We had a deal with two dishes for one, and it felt like this had already been factored in when setting the prices. The plates weren't cleared after the starter. However, the restaurant itself was very nice, clean, and actually quite busy.

We saw this restaurant on TV's "Mein Lokal dein Lokal" (My Local, Your Local), and since we were in Cologne today anyway, we immediately reserved a table. The food was delicious 😋 and the staff very friendly. They also won the TV show. 😃

Unfortunately, yesterday was a very busy and hectic day at Ginti and more. As soon as we walked in, we couldn't even calmly say that we had a reservation. We were immediately rushed through. After dinner, I ordered a Coke, which was unfortunately forgotten. What a shame... But... The food is great... The atmosphere is fantastic... If the service hadn't been so bad, the evening would have been perfect. But it was just a hectic (busy) evening. That can happen. I 100 percent recommend Ginti and more.

I don't usually write reviews, but this experience still haunts me, even three months later. We went to the restaurant for my birthday and were really looking forward to the meal – unfortunately, it was very disappointing overall. Some dishes were completely over-seasoned, while others were almost tasteless. We ended up having to send the food back, which I never normally do, but on this evening, there was simply no other option. I really enjoy Indian food and know the cuisine to be wonderfully balanced and flavorful – unfortunately, that wasn't the case here.

We just had a spontaneous meal there together and immediately felt at home after being greeted by the owner. The dishes were exceptionally delicious, and the owner was friendly and hospitable. Despite being very busy, he took the time to speak with us. We'd be happy to come back.

We discovered Ginty & More after seeing it today on "My Local, Your Local – The Professional Is Coming" – and absolutely wanted to try it. And we deserved to win! The food was amazing, amazingly delicious; every dish was a true taste experience. The spices, the freshness, the presentation – simply phenomenal! The host, Ajay, is incredibly warm and attentive, and even served us a delicious appetizer on the house. You can tell how much passion he puts into running this restaurant. An all-around successful evening with great food, wonderful service, and genuine hospitality. We'll definitely be back – highly recommended! 🌟

Unfortunately very disappointing

A super nice restaurant, with extremely friendly staff who are happy to provide helpful advice. The food was ready very quickly and absolutely delicious.

Nice place, nice location, pretty good food – but I can't agree with the rave reviews here. The service was very pushy and almost tried to pressure us into appetizers – which we politely but firmly declined. We then ordered two main courses, and when we asked (because some of the side dishes were listed separately, but the menu was very confusing), we were told that rice was always included anyway. We then got two butter chicken dishes with large rice, but when we paid, we were charged just under €12 for the rice, which makes a regular main course a good €25-30. It was good, but definitely not worth the price. You can get good Indian food elsewhere for much less. The fact that you could only pay in cash – well, I can't really agree with the rave reviews.

Cool food spot in Cologne: A cross between Indian cuisine and street food vibes with vegan, vegetarian, and halal options. Great selection, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommended for special evenings or a relaxed dinner!

We visited this restaurant with two of my colleagues after an exhausting day at an exhibition in Cologne. The staff received us, but there was no warmth in their welcome. We were craving Indian food, so we decided to dine in. It took them quite some time to hand us the menus, and when they finally did, they insisted that we place our order immediately. When we asked for recommendations, they gave us some terrible suggestions. The food arrived after a while, and honestly, it was disappointing. We ordered Palak Paneer, Chicken Gravy, and Dal Tadka with rotis and rice. The only dish that was remotely edible was the Dal Tadka — everything else was simply awful. What made things worse was that, while we were still in the middle of our meal, the owner came over and asked if we wanted to pay — even though all the dishes were still on the table. We had been there for barely 45 minutes! That was extremely rude and unprofessional. To top it off, they charged us exorbitantly — including a ridiculous €17 service charge. After such a disappointing experience — cold service, bad food, and overcharging — we were too tired to argue and simply paid the bill and left. Overall, a thoroughly unpleasant experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Lamm Biryani was very yummy but Lamm Masala was not good meat 🥩 was Hard and hardly to eat. When we ask they make a new dish which is fine. I have little Cough I just ask them to make Beer 🍺 warm but they have no idea and Restaurant Boss put Beer Glass on my table and said to me - Thoda ruk jao apne aap normal ho jayega. Well I’m there to eat with my friends not to sleep overnight. Maybe Restaurant Boss is nice but me and my friends personally found his behavior not good! Important think they don’t know how to make Beer 🍺 warm…🥲 Tip- Simple put inside Bowl 🥣 make warm in Microwave and serve in Glass. Own experience was bad but food was good. Thanx. I would say little expensive according to this area.

Right on Neumarkt, a really great location. The staff and owners were incredibly warm and friendly. They always asked us if everything was okay or if we needed anything. The Food was great, especially the prawn vindaloo was rich in flavour, not too watery or oily. The service unfortunately left us disappointed. It began with the server being rather unfriendly and not paying much attention to us. This is not something I would care about too much if the rest of the visit had gone well, but things were about to get worse. Later, the server interrupted me while I was trying to order our main dishes to ask me twice in a pushy tone whether I would really not order any starters, although I had never mentioned wanting any. It felt like he was trying to pressure me into ordering things I didn't intend on getting in the first place. After that, when ordering the main dishes, he asked us which naan we would like to have with the main dishes. I had also never mentioned wanting naan, making it seem even more like he was trying to trick us into ordering extra dishes while causing the impression that the naan was included with the main dish. I had checked the menu before and knew this was not the case, but some other reviews mention not being vigilant enough and being surprised by the bill at the end. During the meal (which tasted great tbf), nobody checked in with us, while a few servers checked in with the table next to us three (3!) times. At this price point, this is unexpected. It gave us a feeling of being ignored. To make matters worse, once we finished the food, nobody checked in with our table until we left around half an hour later. I even got up after around 15 minutes to ask whether we could pay. In response to this ,I was asked to sit back down, with the explanation that others were waiting to pay for a longer time than us. This was fine by me, but after another 15-20 minute wait during which nobody acknowledged our existence, I had to come up to the register again. This time, we were allowed to pay, ending this miserable customer service experience. I have worked as a full time server myself and am usually understanding of things going wrong when visiting a restaurant, but this service unfortunately crossed a line. The restaurant seems mismanaged with overworked and stressed servers seemingly pressuring and tricking guests into ordering extra dishes, ruining the nights of those trying to enjoy delicious food. The management needs to rethink their decision to run this restaurant the way they do. Scheduling more servers on a busy night and changing their policy which currently seems to prioritize pressuring guests into buying more food instead of serving guests quickly and seeminglessly would be a solid start to improve the guest experience at this restaurant. Would love to come back for the food, but the service makes this unlikely to ever happen.

Food was very indian spices. And loved it for its chai. Superb. I had experience of sharing the moments as a waiter for just 15 mins. Haha! I belief the owner ginti will never forget me. The waiter was in a bad mood and hectic. We were asked to quickly choose a sauce when ordering. When we paid, we discovered it cost an additional €6.90. We hadn't ordered Naam bread, but the waiter placed it on the table—we then thought it was part of the dish. We had to pay for it, like the customers before us. The waiter wanted us to pay in cash without a receipt—we successfully refused. We'll never go there again.

Better go to the main restaurant on Händelstraße! The Chili Shabzi was bland in flavor and watery in consistency, but it was decorated with a nonsensical cress garnish. When I paid, they added a €5 tip to my bill, which I would have given for such a disappointing meal. Then I was too embarrassed to correct it; I also felt stingy, but I had spoken clearly. It was my first and last attempt here. What a shame.

Undoubtedly service was so good but when it comes to food, it was a lil disappointing. Being from Delhi, I know what butter chicken, gulab jamun and jalebi mean to people...they are emotions and all 3 were so bad. I never imagined they can put honey in butter chicken which was spoiling the taste, and gulab jamun was made up of bread and jalebi was smelling like fried in so old oil and wasn't fresh. Except these 3 things from VIP menu, food was actually decent. I just request them to work on these 3 items seriously. Also instead of using namak paras in papadi chaat, they can use papdi in round shape as well. And stop putting too much sugar in mint raita. Thanks

Addendum: After being asked to contact them in writing via email to find a solution, I did so. However, I never received a response. What a disgrace! Despite all the hassle, they're still trying to portray themselves as willing to find a solution. After I ordered from Ginti & More in Cologne via Lieferando. The stated delivery time of 50 minutes was exceeded, and even after another 30 minutes, nothing arrived. A call to the number listed on Lieferando was unsuccessful; no one was available. I was only able to reach the restaurant via another phone number I found online. They said the driver had tried to deliver several times, which is definitely not true; five people can testify that no one rang the bell or called. When I tried to cancel the order (since our lunch break couldn't be extended indefinitely), the restaurant refused in a very unfriendly manner. Instead, they simply said, "It's my problem." I was then informed by Lieferando that the order had supposedly been delivered, which isn't true, and therefore I won't get my money back. Overall, a very bad experience: unreliable delivery, unfriendly service, and false information provided to Lieferando. I absolutely don't recommend it.
