Das Butter Chicken ist köstlich, ich bestelle es regelmäßig

Sehr leckeres indisches Essen und es wurde sehr schnell zubereitet. Die Bedienung war sehr lieb und ich kann das Restaurant sehr empfehlen!

Zum Ambiente kann ich nichts sagen, wir haben das Essen mitgenommen. Das Essen und das Brot war hervorragend.

Ich würde leider nicht nochmal wiederkommen. Ich wollte vor Ort zum Abholen das Doppelpack-Menü für 26,90€ bestellen. Stattdessen wurde mir der normale Preis der Gerichte inklusive Naan aufgetischt für 35,50€. Ich habe diskutiert, aber es war aussichtslos.. wirklich schade, dass nicht das verkauft wurde, was schwarz auf weiß steht und der Kunde offensichtlich möchte. Das Personal wirkte zudem sehr hektisch und teilweise unorganisiert.

Ich kann das Restaurant und das Essen sehr empfehlen. Das Restaurant bietet vor allem einen Lieferservice. Man kann dort aber auch vor Ort essen. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ausgezeichnet und die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich. Der lange Gang im Restaurant wirkt nicht sehr gemütlich, weshalb ich einen Stern abziehe. Man ist aber immer bemüht, das Ambiente zu verbessern, beispielsweise durch Teller, Besteck und Servietten auf dem Tisch.

Absolute Enpfehlung. Essen super lecker und authentisch. Das einfache Dal überzeugt. Home cooked vibes! 🤌🙏👍

We ordered food for delivery over the weekend. We both really enjoyed the dishes. We especially loved the papri chaat appetizer. The main courses are large portions, so you should definitely come hungry. Medium spicy was already quite intense for us; that was about the limit of what we could handle.

Always fresh and delicious, whether you eat in or have it delivered. I highly recommend this restaurant; we eat there often. ♥️

I ordered takeout today and I'm extremely disappointed. My order was completely misunderstood, and the dish was so oversalted it was absolutely inedible—I had to throw it away. Indian food that's so salty is highly unusual. What's your chef doing? In the end, I wasted 30 euros and I'm very disappointed. I definitely won't be ordering takeout from here again. If anything, I'll only order in from now on—that way I can complain if something goes wrong.

Good service, relatively inexpensive, but we didn't enjoy the food. The curry was bland and tasted watery. Therefore, I unfortunately cannot recommend it.

A beautiful ambiance with an authentic flair. The spices are perfectly balanced and the portions generous. My highlight: the fresh naan bread straight from the oven. Highly recommended!

I love their food. I can claim that this is the best Indian restaurant in Köln which will serve food your money's worth.

The same problem as with many Indian restaurants. The dishes really don't taste authentic, and even after specifically requesting authentic preparation, the dishes still lacked Indian flavor and all tasted very sweet. We ordered Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, and Shahi Paneer, and everything tasted the same and sweet. Very disappointing.

Food never arrived even when I ordered before the restaurant closed, money was charged and the phone number given does not work

Lack of hygiene and staff attention to guests. For the second time, they were charged inflated prices (approximately +20%) without a receipt. When asked, they dubiously "double-checked" only to discover that the prices were actually made up. Truly shameful and unnecessary. The food itself is average, but everything else about it makes the experience rather poor. I wouldn't recommend it. I'll stay away from here in the future.

Waited 1.5 hours for the order. Then called to inquire. Unfortunately, the order had been forgotten, and delivery would take another half hour. Absolutely no goodwill; they told me to wait until the next order – what a pity!

Unfortunately unsatisfied. We ordered food at 5:40 p.m. directly from the website and immediately received a confirmation that said it would take about 60 minutes. When the food still hadn't arrived after 2 hours, we called and were told the driver was on his way. The driver also contacted us and said he couldn't find the address, which he couldn't do as he was in a completely different part of town. When he finally arrived 2.5 hours later, he greeted us with, "It's your own fault, you gave the wrong address." Luckily, we had the confirmation, which we showed him, and it had our correct address. At least the food was still warm. It was lacking in seasoning and had a slightly bland taste. We will definitely order and eat somewhere else in the future.

The food is truly delicious, but I would only order from here. The staff doesn't take the time to serve customers who come in to eat (we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Sunday). It's a great place to order.

Unfortunately, our order, which we placed online, was forgotten. We thought, OK, we'll just pick it up since it was quite a walk away... In total, we had to wait 60 minutes at home plus 20 minutes at the restaurant... what a shame. The food was okay in my opinion, nothing special, but not particularly good for the price either. Next time, I'll probably get a kebab from the next door.

The food was really bland, had absolutely no flavour and guess what the Chef forgot the add the damn salt to the dish. This was our First and last order, even after adding the instructions that they should cook it in Indian style, they had audacity to send bland food. If you cannot cater as per the customer request then probably mention this as a disclaimer. Horrendus experience, there are plenty of so called Indian restaurants like one where as in reality they literally have no Idea what is the actual Indian food. Good reviewers seems like they have no knowledge about authentic Indian food. The restaurant must mention on their Menu that their food is European/Indian fusion. I have never had such a terrible Paneer which had no salt and tasted like warm tomoto puree.

We were there on a Wednesday in March. We were alone. Everyone enjoyed it, but unfortunately the food cooled down quickly. There were warm plates, but that didn't help much when the food took a few minutes to be served. The food is still recommended. However, it seems that you make more money from delivery. It's a shame, unfortunately there wasn't a nice atmosphere, even though we were served nicely and politely. 👍

First time here and the food was absolutely delicious.

I had food delivered to my hotel and was absolutely thrilled! The delivery was on time, the food was still hot, and incredibly delicious. I was especially pleased that the driver even remembered to bring cutlery—a small detail that makes the service perfect. Highly recommended; I will order from here again anytime!

It really tastes delicious, especially the almonds in the butter chicken give the whole thing a great crunch 😍 But with Uber eats the two for one offer is just under €30. So that's not possible. It's not two for one :/

Ordered food (2x portions, discount) for ≈30€. The delivery person didn't want to use the elevator and sent us down instead. The food is okay, but unfortunately comparatively hardly seasoned and not spicy either. Likewise, the naan bread with garlic was relatively tasteless and little for at least €5! We recommend trying other Indian restaurants. Too bad!

For the food, service and ambience on site, clearly 5 stars. Then why only 3 stars? Very easy. When I wanted to order from Uber Eats, I noticed a nasty scam. Malai Kofta in the restaurant for €11.90. On the app 25.90€... but then state 2 for 1 to pretend to be a bargain, only to still take 1.05€ more per portion than in the restaurant... then the store should do it directly for 12, Say €95 to Uber Eats before telling people they have saved 50%. So if you want something from Badmaash, I recommend ordering in the restaurant or via the restaurant's website.

The first time we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, we enjoyed it so much that we ordered it again. The next few times we ordered other dishes, which unfortunately disappointed us because the curries were not tasty overall. For example, Chicken Madras was too sour. Then there was the Bhindi Chicken with a lot of oil. The vegetable curry contains frozen vegetables. Even though the other dishes weren't as convincing, we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala again, which is declared a house specialty. Unfortunately, we realized again that the first order was just a stroke of luck, because the second Chicken Tikka Masala was oversalted and the meat was far too dry. As if it had been cooked again. We really tried to convince ourselves with different dishes and also wished that we had a favorite Indian restaurant nearby, but we won't be ordering here anymore. Despite all of this, the service is very friendly and delivery was quick.

We ordered there and only received the food after an hour and a half. When we called after an hour to ask, we were told that the waiting time was usually between 60 and 80 minutes. The food then came, but one dish was missing. But this was not deducted from the price. The prices on the invoice were more expensive than the order I placed online. The food was ok, but tasted too bland for us. I chose mild, next time we would choose spicy. It's a shame, we weren't happy this time.

We won't be ordering from here again because of the unreliability of delivery. We have here on September 28th. ordered through one of the delivery services. The food was quite good, but the waiting time was far too long. The time given was 20 - 40 minutes, but it took about 80 minutes. What annoyed me even more: When I called after 45 minutes and asked about the order, I was told on the phone that the food would be with us in five minutes. It was more than 30 minutes. They probably only started preparing it after I called. For me that's just not okay.

I ordered via Lieferando The best Indian food I have ever had in Cologne and I have lived here for 10 years and have tried many restaurants. Absolutely recommended!!!! Shahi paneer and dumplings. The food arrived super quickly and was very tasty :))

Ordered paneer vegetables and samosa. Vegetables were uncooked and pieces were too big. Taste was ok ok. Samosa filling was good.

If you want to experience the best Indian in Cologne, you have to go to BADMAASH, I love Indian food and have tried it all over Cologne and can say with firm conviction that there is no better place for me. My best friend is Indian himself and it tastes just as if an Indian mom personally prepared the food. Stay as you are!

ok Indian with an interesting map. Vegetarian dishes almost like before with single-digit prices. When it came to meat, we had lamb, which was twice as expensive. There is a bit of a lack of attention in the service, with several crooked knives and forks, and the disinfectant is always clearly visible on the counter near the food. Cash only.

The food was okay. I found the atmosphere too loud. There was lot of kitchen noise and staff talking all the time.

Super Indian restaurant food is super duper

I ordered here for the first time today and was thrilled. Despite the greater distance, the food still arrived hot and simply delicious. The gentleman on the phone and the gentleman who delivered the order were extremely friendly. This is how you make regular customers. Will definitely order here again.

Finally we have a decent Indian restaurant in Bayenthal. On Bonnerstrasse. Definitely try it out!

Fraud! I am very upset. The food is usually good average and ready quickly. Today, however, I was there in person to pick it up. After ordering it said “no card payment”. When I tried to pay with cash, I was given a much more expensive fantasy price that was off the menu. When I asked, they said that taking away was much more expensive than eating there. An absolute scam. I will definitely never eat there again and advise everyone to count their money carefully.

Incredibly delicious food. The lamb jalfrezi was outstanding and cooked to perfection! Mango lassi was delicious, but would have liked more yogurt. Overall very good, friendly, courteous and fair service, cool ambience and really cool old Indian music. Suggestion for improvement: It would be cool if you could heat the food on a holder with a tea light

My review was removed due to "offensive or vulgar content", here it is, you can decide for yourself what should be vulgar about it (by the way, this is how operators can push up their application): The food was okay but the service/delivery was a complete disaster . After three quarters of an hour after the expected delivery time, I called and asked where the food was, apparently it had already been loaded and would soon be on its way. A blatant lie as I found out after another 40 minutes, on the second call they said it would be on the way soon. After another half hour the food was finally there, at least still warm and edible. The store is 10 minutes away from us by car. But the taste of the food is irrelevant if you wait a total of 3 hours for food, you actually planned to eat it at 9 p.m. and it turned into 11 p.m. As I said, the food wasn't bad, but nothing outstanding.

I’m sorry to say i was very disappointed by the food here. Both the curries we ordered lacked taste and flavour. As someone who is passionate about indian food and also cooks it a lot, i would say this is not how it’s made. We ordered murgh chicken and palak paneer along with naan. Both the curries tasted very bland and tasteless, and the palak paneer was completely off. I’ve never seen a palak paneer with yellow gravy with spinach leaves in the gravy, and that didn’t taste good at all. (Palak paneer is supposed to have a rich flavourful green gravy) I’d not recommend this place, sorry.

Food okay, but there are much better Indians in Cologne. However, waiting times are completely out of the question. Waited almost an hour in the restaurant (to eat in the restaurant, not for pickup), the coordination and kitchen were completely overwhelmed and without a plan. After complaining at the end I was shouted at instead of an apology and, for example, a free dessert. I can only strongly advise against eating or ordering here!

The restaurant likely focuses on delivery services. The room is not very inviting and the service is not actually intended for service. At least that's how it seems. The food is okay, but relatively unseasoned and bland for Indian food.

We ordered via UberEats, they accepted the order and they said it would be here until (the LATEST) 11:50. It is 12:34, we are calling and no one is answering. Apparently, they closed while we are still waiting for our ACCEPTED ORDER. Unacceptable. We are waiting all this time to eat while I haven't eaten ALL DAY because I was working. Not professional at all. Update: they called me the next day to say that they had left open the system. Though a human mistake, it was still unprofessional and I am writing my review.

It was my friend's birthday and he wanted to go out for Indian food. Since we live on Schäl Sick and line 9 is ideal for us, we decided on Badmaash at Heumarkt. You have to get out there, walk a few minutes and you will find it slightly hidden. It was pretty empty, but the reviews were good and Lieferando was coming and going. Good sign. In any case, we had a nice table by the window and were served in a friendly manner. The furniture needs to be replaced slowly but surely. A renovation wouldn't be bad. We had samosa as a starter. Super tasty, my recommendation! Then the two of us decided on different dishes. My husband on chicken basis. And I had a mix plate. Chicken and beef. It was delicious, really tasty. Very well seasoned, slightly spicy, not spicy at all. Yes. the meat was a little dry in places, right. But thanks to the sauce it was hardly noticeable. To do this you have to order naan bread. It tastes really good. The Mango Lassie drink was also my highlight. Delicious. Thank you for the lovely evening. But it was welcome to be renovated again.

I come from Mönchengladbach specifically to eat Indian food here. Eating simply 10 out of 10. Friendly service. Since the location has been moved, there is still room for expansion. Go there and try it all in one. It is definitely worth it. My recommendation: King Prawls Masala in super spicy, a Lassi and Nan.🔥

Lieferzeit über 90 Minuten am Abend!!! Unmöglicher Service.

Wir mussten 20 Minuten bei einem halbleeren Restaurant warten, bis unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde. Wir fühlten uns quasi ignoriert. Der Kellner war unprofessionell und warf uns den Brotkorb entgegen. Insgesamt völlig lustlos und unaufmerksam. Essen war mittelmäßig. Nie wieder.

Good sized portions, tasty and reasonably priced.

An about average restaurant. Located in the city on a busy road the restaurant is nothing fancy. Barely recognisable from the outside, few Decor on the inside. The establishment made a bit of a run-down impression. The furniture old and scratched up, the silverware old and bent. The service was friendly but sometimes a bit sloppy, forgetting this and that and even though the restaurant was almost entirely empty quite slow. The food was alright and the prices decent. Overall if you are looking for nothing special just some food this might be for you otherwise I'd rather recommend to look for some other place.

Person talked absolutely rubbish and asked me to to get out of place after I paid . Only thing that I asked was mouth freshner that wasn’t available with him. I asked for roasted papas and he was rude when I entered , he seems to be a psycho and wants this place to close down . Food quality was below average , No point wasting money here ! Leider kann ich nur eine der vorherigen Rezensionen bestätigen: Mein Essen, das ich direkt über die Homepage des Restaurants (nicht Lieferando) bestellt habe, wurde nicht geliefert. Nach über anderthalb Stunden rief ich im Restaurant an wo man mir sagte, es gebe Probleme mit der App und die Bestellung sei nicht angekommen. Allerdings hatte der Mitarbeiter so weit Einblicke, dass er meine Adresse zuordnen konnte. Er erklärte, er könne jetzt beginnen, die Gerichte zu kochen. Ich sagte, dass mir das nun zu spät sei. Der Mitarbeiter sagte daraufhin, ich solle bei Klarna eine Retoure anlegen. Das habe ich gemacht und dazu noch eine Mail mit Verweis auf das Telefonat geschrieben. Bis heute (fast 1 Monat später) wurde die Retoure seitens des Restaurants nicht bearbeitet und die Zahlung steht somit weiterhin aus. Auf Emails oder Nachrichten über die Homepage reagiert das Restaurant nicht. Am Telefon wurde mir nochmal zugesagt, man werde die Retoure bearbeiten, was nach wie vor nicht passiert ist. Mittlerweile ist Klarna eingeschaltet. Ich kann nur davon abraten, über die Homepage zu bestellen.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und billig. Waiter spoke English and German. Food was great value and absolutely delicious as was the lassi. Vegan/vegetarians very well provided for.

MEIN ESSEN WURDE NIE GELIEFERT UND DER CHEF TOTAL TELEFONISCH UNFREUNDLICH UND AGGRESSIV Nach einem sehr unangenehmen Telefongespräch mit dem Chef oder Besitzer des Restaurants, dessen Name dem Namen des Restaurants Badmaash entspricht, zeige ich öffentlich an, dass meine Bestellung nie abgeschickt wurde und ich nicht weiß, wann ich mein Geld zurückbekomme, weil der Mann am Telefon mir keine klaren Informationen darüber geben konnte, wie mein Geld zurückerstattet wird. Am Ende seiner sehr verwerflichen Art, mit mir zu sprechen und meine Fragen zu beantworten, und nachdem ich ihm klargemacht hatte, dass er ein sehr unfreundlicher Mann ist, hat er aufgelegt, und ich weiß nicht, ob ich mein Geld zurückbekomme. Ich prangere die Behandlung eines Stammkunden durch den Restaurantleiter öffentlich an.

Very tasty food with excellent service, the waiter spoke excellent English and knew about which options were gluten free. They do takeout and can adjust how spicy it is. We ordered the Magda Saag and it was delicious and a little spicy.

Ich habe hier kürzlich zur Lieferung bestellt, zum ersten - und sicher auch zum letzten - Mal: 90 Minuten Wartezeit an einem normalen Werktag, auf Nachfrage am Telefon erhält man die heruntergeleierte bis unfreundliche Antwort "der Fahrer sei wahrscheinlich schon unterwegs und bestimmt in 10 MInuten da". Der Fahrer kam dann ca. 15 Minuten nach der Nachfage und musste erstmal umständlich meine 50 Euro bei sich selbst wechseln, bevor er herausgeben konnte. Unsere beiden Essen kam in der Plastiktüte in der Sauce schwimmend an, da ein Behältnis entweder zu voll, ein Deckel nicht richtig geschlossen war oder zu ruckelig transportiert wurde. Wir mussten erstmal alles abwischen... Das Essen war nur mittelmäßig warm, die Qualität eher mäßig, meine Linsensauce sollte süß-sauer-scharf sein, war aber für meinen Geschmack lediglich scharf. Das Nan schmeckt nach fertiger Mischung, war sehr dick und nicht gut durchgebacken. Eine Portion war deutlich kleiner als die andere, knapp 32 Euro für ein Lieferservice-Abendessen dafür empfinde ich als nicht angemessen.

Probably the worst experience at any restaurant. Being an Indian tourist, I can vouch that this food is terrible. The food was stale and bland. We asked for hot water and were charged 4 euros for each glass of hot water, which we only got to know when the bill came. The owner of the restaurant came and fought with us when we politely asked why we are being charged for tap water. When we paid, the name of the restaurant was different outside the restaurant, the billing was done to a different name and there was a different name on the menu card. Possibly the most shady place I have been to. I advise you all to please stay away, there are far better Indian restaurants in the vicinity and the city.

Das Essen ist toll!!!! Aber lass euch nicht von dem Ambiente abschrecken. Übrigens als ich dort am Essen war, habe ich mitbekommen, dass dem nächst neue Möbel angeschafft werden. Ich habe Madras Curry und mein Mann hat Chana mit Knoblauch Naan gegessen. Es war köstlich! Können wir gerne empfehlen.

If I compare the food as per the price, then it's good. Otherwise, the main dish tandoori Tikka and tandoori murg were okay. They had a plain taste , and Tikka had grated coconut in the gravy. I really like the starter in comparison to the main dish. I bought samosa, and it was really good along with the chutney, and then pakora, which had onion potatoes and cauliflower mixture that was something different. Mango lassi was thin in consistency, and kulfi is nowhere near the real kulfi. Overall, I would say you can definitely visit as it is budget friendly and bring CASH along as the card is not accepted.

Mein Vater bestellt da immer. Vor 2 Wochen hat er auch bestellt..Der Fahrer hatte kein Wechselgeld einstecken. Da hat mein Vater ihn 50€ gegeben und er ist nicht mehr gekommen. Am nächsten Tag würde da angerufen. Würde geklärt das er die 30€ an essen bestellen kann. OK super. Jetzt ist er geblockt wo er bestellen würde und es geht zur Polizei wegen Betruges. Bestellt da nie bitte. Sowas ist unherhört.

I'm afraid that the location needs some maintenance. The interior is very dated. Sofas are flaking, and generally, the atmosphere suffers greatly. On the food front, we went for vegan options and props for a relatively wide selection. I give the food 4 out of 5, but it's more like 3.5. I'm a big fan of Indian food, and this was not the worst, but it was not the top of the line either. The service was friendly and polite.
