Very good restaurant, very authentic and tasty. Great courtyard!

Highly named, but a total disaster, if you expect anything even remotely hailing of Indian flavours. If you've had a good Currywurst, you know what their curries taste like. Sadly often the case with restaurants on a main street. I'll not be visiting again as there are many better ones for the same prices.

I visited Cologne for business trip and found this gem of a restaurant. Service was really nice and polite and they even offer the Indian salad which I've missed in Germany. The ambiance at the back is also really cosy! Definitely worth the dinner night!

It was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I didn't even place an order because the way they treated and spoke to me was terrible and disrespectful. As an Indian, I have never had such a bad experience in any restaurant in Germany until now. I strongly suggest avoiding this restaurant unless you deliberately want to ruin your evening.

The food was okay, but the attitude of staff is really bad they don't care about you and the service. The worst part was ordering the water which is way expensive than some of the drinks and dishes. I won't recommend it to someone!

The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant (especially on the back terrace during a sunny day), and the food is enjoyable. The vegetable samosa, butter chicken, and lentils with curry were highly enjoyed. The sauces are tasty, particularly the mint yogurt. The cheese naan could be improved.

Taste is okayish, Chana Masala was having gravy with Tomato sauce. No complementary Chutney/Pickel which for a comparatively higher priced food. No mouth freshener, they are taking huge money.

Very tasty and varied food. Large selection from vegan to vegetarian and of course also with lots of meat 😁. The portions are more than sufficient. Price performance top. The service is very friendly, but the drinks could be a little quicker. But everything is within reason 😅. We sat in the courtyard and it was nice and quiet. Gladly again....

Service was really bad, and food was ok. They tried to push us to pay by cash. I went there to have a nice evening with my boyfriend, but we ended up with bad feeling. Only good things were they open on mondays and they close pretty late. But in Cologne there are other good north indian restaurants, so I would recommend to go somewhere else, not here.

Very tasty Indian food. Chicken Biriyani and vegetarian mango curry tasted very good. The mango curry as a vegetarian dish only cost €9 at lunchtime. We are completely satisfied. Small deduction because we couldn't pay with a card but only with cash.

Some of the best food I've had. Atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. If you go with more than 2 people I would make a reservation, seating is limited.

The food was okay, but nothing special. The young men in service were nice, but not super attentive. Empty plates remained e.g. B. at the table for far too long and in order to order drinks, you had to draw attention to yourself several times. Price-performance is mediocre to expensive. The interior also needs a renovation. You can do it, you don't have to. But it is 100% NOT the BEST Indian in all of Cologne!!

Best. Samosa’s. Ever. When you walk in, you sense it immediately: the interior screams GREAT INDIAN FOOD at you. And they do. The menu is extensive and offers a broad range of appetizers, street food, veggie food and all the usuals. You can share the food as well. We ordered a vegetable Thali (great), a cheese naan (not authentic but really delicious), the samosas (amazing, nothing else to say) and paneer. The TV’s were a bit distracting but we covered this with a one gulp-penalty for every look exchanged with the screen. That made it actually fun!

This is so far our best choice for an Indian food. It’s cozy and the people are nice. The food is also really good and most importantly they have Bhatura. Although it’s quite expensive for a bread but I couldn’t find anywhere else.

Overpriced for the quantity and the taste. We order chilli paneer which was very disappointing. It seemed like paneer dipped in tomato sauce. The strange thing is, I could not fnd any single chilli 🌶️. Only good thing we found is the starter "channa chat" . Good refresher.

Lieblingsladen um indisch zu essen. Sie Auswahl ist riesig für Vegetarier, fast schon zu groß. Bisher war alles immer mega lecker, ich denke Tage danach noch dran. Die Ausstattung ist einfach, völlig ok. Im Sommer im Hinterhof zu sitzen ist toll, da man abseits der lauten Straße sitzt, ein absoluter Vorzug zu den anderen Lokalen auf der Aachener.

Das beste indische Essen, welches ich jemals gegessen habe. Super leckere Auswahl und es schmeckt alles frisch.

Wer in seinem Namen mit dem "besten" wirbt, muss auch abliefern. Mein Essen war gut und auch die Schärfe war wie vorher gefragt auf dem Punkt. Um der beste Inder zu sein fehlt aber einiges. Kein Papadam mit Dips, kein Naan, alles hätte man extra bestellen müssen was es sonst bei so gut wie jedem Inder umsonst gibt.

I went there for good, it’s run by second generation who thinks of making the quick bucks and does not care of customers services, they asked me for the order and when they realise I am alone and my bill will not be more than Euro 30 they asked me to get cash from ATM, - Who does that…? So I have written a email to Koln city tax office and also filed a affidavit with my attorney to send it to the consumer court as we don’t need such tax evaders in the city… it will take a months time but this guy will pay the heavy price…

Es weckte Erinnerungen, auf die für mich unbezahlbar waren. 6 Monaten habe ich in Indien gelebt und mit einem bissen Kamm alles hoch... Das ist authentisch!! Bis zur letzten Geschmacksnote. Die Gewürze, die schärfe... Die einzelnen Noten im Essen..Mir fehlen die Worte! Nicht zu vergleichen mit all den anderen,,fancy Indien Food alla Designer interior. Zugegeben, der Laden selber erinnert eher an einen Imbiss! Mit Tischen und kleinen Flair aus Indien. Das Interior etwas ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Stühle eher unbequem.. Die Sanitäranlagen eher zweckmäßig. Nicht gerade sauber! (Vertretbar) Aber diese Küche ist authentisch und mit Abstand das beste was ich im Raum NRW zu mir genommen habe. Dass diese kleine Küche (versehentlich reingelaufen) so großes köstliches wirklich authentisches indisches Essen herrichtet hat mir ein Lächeln aufs Gesicht gezaubert. Der Service war sehr freundlich, leider etwas unterbesetzt. Das Essen war ca in 35 min angerichtet und hat mich beinahe vom Stuhl geworfen. Ich war randvoll wollte einfach nicht aufhören zu essen. Die Kosten für die Qualität und der treuen Wiedergabe der indischen Küche ein Schnäppchen.. Da habe ich schon das Doppelte in diesen fancy Indian Food Restaurants gezahlt, um glamorous mit Ambiente zu essen, was nach nichts schmeckte oder einem billigen Abklatsch. Mit Freude kann ich dieses kleine Restaurant wärmsten jedem weiterempfehlen, der weniger die Location vorzieht statt der Qualität der Speisen. Volle Punktzahl! Besser geht nicht nur noch daheim in Indien ;-) Bleibt so!

I liked how the place had its own vibe with music in the background while experiencing all the amazing flavors of India. You should definitely order shahi paneer, chili chicken and garlic/butter naan. The service itself could use a little improvement; I didn't see many employees, which led to longer wait times for them to take our orders. Overall, it was a great experience enjoying Indian cuisine.🍽️

Es war wirklich sehr lecker! Wir konnten spät abends noch einkehren und haben sehr zeitnah unser Essen bekommen. Die Servicekräfte waren super nett & zuvorkommend. Nur zu empfehlen! :)

Mein Lieblings indisches Restaurant 🥰 Das Essen ist immer lecker, enttäuscht nie. Service auch sehr freundlich und höflich. Ich gehe sehr gerne hier Essen. Das einzige was mich traurig macht ist, dass die Gerichte von Thali geändert wurden. Das erste Thali was wir gegessen haben war am leckersten. Jetzt mittlerweile schmecken alle drei Gerichte irgenwie dasselbe. Ich glaube es ist viel besser wenn man drei sehr unterschiedliche Gerichte ausprobieren kann. Ansonsten ist alles tip top kann ich nur weiter empfehlen. Auch der Fakt, dass es Halal ist erobert schon mein Herz. ❤️

The Naan bread is freaking delicious

Ich war auf der Durchreise und bin erst 2130Uhr in Restaurant angekommen. Die Küche war immer noch geöffnet, was nicht immer selbstverständlich ist. Der Mangolassi, das Lamm sowie Naan haben sehr überzeugt und waren lecker. Die Portion Reis war sehr groß! Für eine Person sehr üppig. Bezahlung mit Karte/Kontaktlos erst ab 30€ gewünscht. Eine Info vorab wäre gut.

I ordered the food online thtough wolt but when i received it was little bit messed up because all the gravy came out from the packing box because it was not properly packed in the right container that why all the gravy came out.When i call to the restaurant they put all blame on the delivery guy because they want to save themselves and the guy was very rude in the phone he didn't even apologize he hang up the phone that shows disrespectfull behavior towards a customer..

We had been to this restaurant couple of weeks back with family. Firstly the food was very good. But the server was really bad. We were having kids with us and they were using water bottle to drink water but he warned telling we are not supposed to have our own water bottle for kids. One more worst part is we had ordered curry with rice and there was some rice which was left over we asked him to pack it for the kids as they had not eaten properly but he didnt pack it for us telling they cant do it, we didnt ask for any extra rice we were asking for the one we had paid. Such behavior's was not expected. Even if we wish to go back for food but for the behavior of the server we really dont like to visit again and also recommend for people who really expects some respect being an INDIAN.

Wir saßen draußen, da das Wetter herrlich war. Die Tische sind sauber und die Stühle haben Kissen aufliegen. So sind sie bequem, trotz ihrer Einfachheit. Ein guter erster Eindruck. 😊 Die Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Die Karte (Auswahl) ist riesig und es ist für jeden etwas dabei (vegetarisch, Fisch, Lamm und Huhn) Wir hatten Chicken Tikka (würzig, zart), den gemischten Tandoori Teller mit Huhn, Lamm und Fisch, wobei der Fisch nicht überzeugte (Geschmacksache) und Nr. 140 (Name entfallen), was wiederum geschmacklich sehr gut und auch typisch würzig/scharf war. Es handelte sich dabei um Hühnchen, Tomaten, Zwiebeln und Ingwer in einer Tandoori-Soße. 🥘 Das Garlic-Naanbrot 🫓 überzeugte uns leider gar nicht. Es war super trocken und schmeckte aufgewärmt. Die hausgemachten Schorlen fanden wir super gut 👍🏼😊🥤

Gemütliche und einladende Atmosphäre. Das Essen ist gut, es gibt eine große Schale Reis für alle, was ich sehr gut finse. Die Mitarbeiter freundlich und hilfsbereit. Lustige Anekdote: bestellt man etwas in scharf, kann man zwischen deutschem und indischem Scharf entscheiden :) Wenn wir wieder in Köln sind, kommen wir gerne wieder!

First Indian restaurant tried in Germany that actually has very spicy food

I dont like writing negative reviews, but i had to. I quite know very well how good indian food should taste and ate indian food in several countries around the world including India. After reading the reviews, i thought i need definetely to taste it. I have to admit that was by far the worst indian food i ever had in my entire life. The plate is served within less than 5 minutes which means the curry is pre-heated which is no-go in indian cuisine. The curry had literraly ZERO Taste, the chicken was also tasteless, wrong spices with wrong quantities - it was really pathetic. The only acceptable thing was the naan. The rest was a pure desaster...and the funny thing the owner wanted to take tipps and didnt even bother to ask why i left my plate half full. The people puting 5 stars have literally no clue what good indian food is. I Will definetely never come back.

Unsere Erfahrungen: *Online Tisch Reservierung *Schneller/aufmerksamer Service *Wartezeiten Getränke in Ordnung *Sehr kurze Wartezeit Essen *Essen geschmacklich gut und lecker. Im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants hat uns bei den zwei Gerichten der geschmackliche / authentische Pfiff etwas gefehlt. Ansonsten Top! Wände im Außenbereich Hinterhof etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Le restaurant est bien placé. La cuisine est basique les plats sont trop vite servie cela signifie que tout est casi déjà préparé ce qui est mauvais signe. En tant que connaisseur dans la nourriture d' Asie du Sud est, je ne peux pas mettre plus de 3 étoiles les personnes qui mettent 5 étoiles non jamais vraiment goûté de vrais plats indiens. Malges tout personne très serviable et beaucoup de choix dans la carte.
