Essen war extrem gut. Vegetarisches Thali und Prawn Masala sehr zu empfehlen. Leichte Schärfe war perfekt. Tolles indisches Restaurant.

Ein hervorragendes indisches Restaurant mit köstlichem und authentischem Essen. Die Aromen waren intensiv und ausgewogen, und jedes Gericht wurde frisch zubereitet. Das Personal war freundlich, aufmerksam und hat uns herzlich willkommen geheißen. Das Restaurant war sauber, gemütlich und hatte eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Portionen waren großzügig und die Preise für die gebotene Qualität absolut angemessen. Ich kann dieses Restaurant jedem empfehlen, der gutes indisches Essen sucht, und werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Das Restaurant hat ein tolles Ambiente und das Essen ist einfach hervorragend. Es war meine erste Erfahrung in einem indischen Restaurant und ich bin absolut begeistert! Wir waren vor kurzem hier essen und hatten insgesamt eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. Das Essen war wirklich lecker und die Preise waren absolut fair. Besonders positiv fanden wir auch das freundliche Personal – man hat sich direkt willkommen gefühlt. Da gerade Sommer ist, konnten wir draußen im Innenhof sitzen, was eine echt schöne Atmosphäre hatte. Wir hatten dort gemeinsam viel Spaß und haben den Abend sehr genossen. Würden auf jeden Fall nochmal kommen!

Das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich und das Essen sowie die Getränke schmecken hervorragend. Besonders der Mango-Lassi ist unglaublich lecker.

Seit vielen Jahren komme ich immer wieder sehr gerne her. Sehr zu empfehlen. Keine Touri Falle, authentisches Restaurant mit normalen Preisen. Das Essen schmeckt wirklich gut, die Portionen sind ausreichend und die Kellner sind alle sehr freundlich. Ich finde, es gibt hier das beste Garlic Naan was ich kenne. Im Sommer kann man im typisch kleinen Kölner Innenhof sitzen. Vielen Dank und weiter so 👍

Das war das schlimmste Verhalten, das ich je in einem Restaurant in Deutschland erlebt habe. Die Kassiererin war unmöglich. Wenn keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist, sollte das vorher klar angegeben oder am Eingang ausgeschildert werden. Nach dem Essen tat sie so, als hätte ich ein Verbrechen begangen, nur weil ich nach Kartenzahlung gefragt hatte. Anscheinend sollte jeder wissen, dass in diesem Restaurant keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist.

Ein toller Ort für alle, die geschmackvolle, würzige Gerichte lieben. Das Essen ist wirklich lecker und preiswert. Mittags ist es besonders empfehlenswert, da es dann Sonderangebote gibt. Die Lage ist günstig, mit Sitzplätzen drinnen und draußen. Die Toiletten sind sauber und das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Der Butterpaneer schmeckte wie Spaghetti-Soße aus der Dose. Er hätte einen kräftigen, vollmundigen Geschmack und eine cremige Konsistenz haben sollen, aber es schien, als wären weder Garam Masala noch Cashewnüsse hinzugefügt worden. Ehrlich gesagt erinnerte er mich eher an Campbell's Tomatensuppe als an einen richtigen Butterpaneer. Die über 16 Euro waren es nicht wert. Das Mango-Lassi war in Ordnung.

I went with my family for dinner here. We ordered chai, papadum, fish biryani and chole bhature for 3 of us. I appreciate the politeness and attentiveness of the person taking order and serving food and making sure my wife's and son's constraints are taken care off. Fish biryani came with Joghurt and was good. (A small suggestion usually with fish dishes milk or milk products like joghurt is not eaten, so please think of alternative to give instead of raita) However I was extremely disappointed with chole bhature which I ordered for myself. And i asked clearly while ordering is it is similar to what is sold on streets of Delhi or modified to suit taste buds here. Answer was it is authentic and same as one eats there. The chole dish didnt come close to the true street food. It was more of a tomato gravy fried chickpeas. I would even call it like chana tadka or something. There was no onion ring/potato fry/pickle with the dish .. Bhatura dough was very very good the flour selection and the khmeer was exactly how it should be but the frying was not . Eating bhatura felt like it was fried in a relatively less hot oil and had a lot of oil soaked in bhaturas . Also because it was lot of oil inevitably I have to mention this that the oil was not fresh and I could feel the taste of leftover of previously fried things. All in all this dish was no where close to chole bhature. Please either dont disrespect the dish or if cannot make it the right way delete it from the menu. Better sell limited but authentic . Chai was good too.

Terrible management, an arrogant boss, and bizarre rules. To the owner of this restaurant, I'm writing to explain how to treat customers, as your manager clearly doesn't know. Yesterday, we were there as a large family (4 adults, 1 senior, 1 toddler) and with friends. Being from India ourselves, we expected hospitality. Instead, we encountered rudeness and ridiculous rules. 1. The Water Bottle Issue Our baby's water bottle fell out of the stroller, so we placed it on the table. We didn't drink from it. We had already ordered drinks at your restaurant. Suddenly, your staff came and reprimanded us, saying, "The boss says: no outside drinks." This is nonsense. The bottle was simply on the table. 2. The Embarrassing Cash Rule Even before we had finished ordering, we were told that orders under €40 must be paid in cash. It's very cheap and embarrassing to say that in front of my guests. If you have this rule, put it on the menu or on the door. Don't surprise customers after they've already sat down. 3. Arrogant Attitude When we tried to give feedback, the "chef" was extremely arrogant. He didn't care about our experience; he simply said, "That's our policy." To be honest, your food isn't good enough to justify such a poor attitude. The service was terrible and ruined our time with the family. My advice: If you want to keep these strange rules, be transparent. List them clearly at the entrance so customers know before they enter. We will never return, and I will advise my friends in Germany to avoid this place.

We placed our order via Lieferando about 40 minutes before closing time. I would have completely understood if this had been too late and the order had been rejected. However, it was accepted, so we assumed it would work out despite the time constraints. Then, 30 minutes after placing the order, it was suddenly canceled, and I didn't even receive a full refund. It was 10:30 p.m. on a Sunday, and we had to scramble to find somewhere else to eat. An earlier cancellation would have been nice. It's a real shame, as we were really looking forward to it.

The most authentic Indian food in Cologne.

It was my first time eating there, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt comfortable, and the food was really filling. Anyone who likes Indian food should definitely give it a try. In my opinion, it was quite good. Next time, I would order it even spicier than last time.

So where do I start? The restaurant is inviting and has an old-fashioned decor. The staff are friendly, and even on a busy day in the city center, it was moderately busy. It's quiet inside and not too bright. I didn't like the pricing, and the portions were also very small. Even for the Belgian Quarter, the restaurant is too expensive. The price-performance ratio isn't quite right here. €4-5 for a simple naan bread. I don't think a small bowl with five pieces of chicken for €15 is fair. Either larger portions or lower prices.

The dal kofta was excellent! Very quiet and pleasant in the backyard.

Am going there before 2 months every weekened . 1:-Food:- Food is really really delicious and be fresh is never mond which time am gone there always be fresh and super super delicious. Service:- Service also very very friendly ,helpfull ,caring and the workers almost almost be lovely .I do't have a words for them how they have a so sweet staff. Our absolute favorite Indian restaurant, the best Indian food for us. We've been coming here for years.

It's presumptuous to call this food Indian. We had Chicken Tikka Masala and Lemon Butter Chicken – both tasted far from authentic Indian cuisine. The sauces seemed like simple tomato sauce or a ready-made butter sauce, without any depth or spices. The chicken in both dishes was dry and bland. For just under €20 per dish, I expect a lot more – especially freshness, flavor, and a certain level of quality. Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot recommend this. We ordered online.

There's the same problem as with many Indian restaurants: the dishes don't taste particularly authentic and are also a bit expensive. We explicitly asked for authentic cooking, but the dishes didn't taste good.

Chennai Chef in Köln is the best option for Indian food. (It has a home vibe plus food is really good)

We recently dined at your restaurant and ordered the mixed appetizer, Mango Chicken Curry, and Lemon Butter Chicken. We truly enjoyed the mango Chicken, it was flavorful and well-prepared. However, we were disappointed with the Lemon Butter Chicken. The meat was quite dry, and the sauce unfortunately didn’t meet our expectations. We brought this to the attention of our waiter, but despite raising the issue, we were still charged the full amount. While we understand that taste is subjective, we had hoped for a more attentive response and a gesture of goodwill in line with good customer service. We wanted to share this feedback in the hope that it can help improve future guest experiences.

The quality and taste of some food was unsatisfying, and when we pointed that out, the staff refused to take the position we didn’t like off the bill. That was surprising and not client friendly. We don’t recommend and definitely not coming back.

Very cozy and nice restaurant in Cologne center

Very bad … I had given my fone for charging ; but the guy working there purposefully kept my charger converter and I am without battery ; I realised after reaching the station .. the food was also bad with food colours added in …. My conversion adaptor was not given with my charger … they kept that converter adaptor and just handed over the charger and fone … if they really care for customer service ; they should have contacted me and courried me the adapter …. Sadly I had spent 20 euros on that convetor …

It was really delicious. I had the chana masala, and it was good value for money. The naan bread was also very tasty. I would come again.

First of all we asked if we can have a big cola but he only said they had small at the way to the bathroom I saw that they lied to us they war over 5 big bottles of cola.Second food was ok me and the guy next to me ordered the tikka masala mine came cold but HIS WAS JUST ON A GRILL LIKE IT CAM BURNING HOT WITH SMOKE AND THOSE NEXT TO ME LOVED IT WHILE I GET PLAIN OLD COLD ONES?.Third I saw a glimpse of the kitchen it was a little bit dirty. Fourth We ARE ALSO FROM INDIA I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE NICER OR SOMETHING BUT NO THE ONES NEXT US WERE GERMAN PLUS THEY CAME TO ASK THEM EVERY MINUTE DO YOU NEED SOMETHING? like we want that to but no he didnt treat us like a 5 star meal They war having.fifth food was ok some didn't have flavour or they war put with alot of sugar or to much salt or other stuff . Enjoyed a very tasty lunch in the pleasant sunshine in April. Large veggie selection with delicious paneer and butter chicken, Garluc naan and battura.

Flavor of India is my favorite Indian. In my opinion they make the best butter chicken in town. I also recommend the Garlic Naan (bread) and the Mango Lassi.

Mhhh, kind of a strange shop. Lentil soup tasted good and the waitress was nice too, but his timing was super bad. Lamb Korma was too sweet for me personally and when I wanted to pay, I asked to pay by card. “That’s not possible at the moment.” - I didn't see any sign anywhere. When I then said that I didn't have any cash with me, I suddenly had to come to the counter. Card payment suddenly worked. 🙃 Extremely questionable behavior.

Amazing time at Flavour of India

Unbelievable desert of service – rip-off to the second! An experience that left me speechless. Discounted lunch specials were advertised outside the restaurant, so we decided to enter. While we were still looking for a table with an employee, the advertising sign was carried into the restaurant without a word. As soon as we sat down, we noticed that the offer was only valid until 4 p.m. A look at the clock: 4:03 p.m. We asked politely, since we had entered because of the advertising at the entrance. But they remained stubborn - no accommodation, no goodwill. The absolutely grotesque climax came a few minutes later: the waiter came back with a smartphone and showed us the surveillance footage (!) to prove that we had entered the restaurant at 4:01:23 p.m. - 23 seconds after the deadline and therefore too late for the offer. The fact that a restaurant rejects guests in such a pedantic manner instead of showing even a hint of customer friendliness is absolutely unacceptable. Anyone who stops here should be prepared for petty, unfriendly behavior coupled with zero goodwill and a lack of hospitality - I can only STRONGLY advise against it!

Ordered Samosa and Chicken Bhuna for takeout. The taste was just ok, and I didn’t find the curry particularly flavorful. This might partly be my fault since I ordered “spicy” and the food was indeed very spicy for me. The samosa was good, and definitely recommend.

Nice quiet, authentic restaurant. The food was deliciously seasoned and you could choose the level of spiciness. Unfortunately, the chicken in the dishes was a little dry and the drinks are only available as a small version. Otherwise a solid Indian restaurant.
