Fantastic food and nice service! My girlfriend and I recently visited this Indian restaurant while on vacation and absolutely loved it! We both ordered the butter chicken and fresh naan bread. The butter chicken was perfectly seasoned and deliciously creamy. The naan was wonderfully fluffy and crispy on the outside. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and the service was very friendly. If we are in Cologne again we will definitely come back. We can highly recommend this restaurant!

Hi I was there for lunch and also took samosa delivery for my train journey too . Food was good, but could be more delicious. People were nice who were serving. I will visit again to test more dishes and will review again. Till then cook well and serve well.

If you feel like waiting 2-3 hours for lukewarm food to be delivered, this is the right place for you. After all, it's more expensive than it should be. The welcome was a bit cold. Unfortunately, we could not observe the smiling faces of Indians much. When it comes to food, the main dishes we ordered were delicious and plentiful. Seeing the reviews, my friends and I were excited to try this place out, but were sadly disappointed. After taking a couple of bites of the dal and paneer, we looked at each other and agreed that the food lacked taste. Plus the guy who took our order was kinda rude.

Food was fine but one of the worst customer service that I have ever dealt with. When asked about the dishes we were told that it will be just enough for one person so they can have us order more in order to make more money. If you will ask them to make curry’s spicy they simply believe in putting raw green peppers into it rather than cooking properly.

We booked a cooking class with Ginti in February (worth €100 per person). This took place in the kitchen of the restaurant, where we took part with a total of 4 people. On the one hand, we noticed that we were quite a nuisance, as the kitchen staff were trying to continue preparing their dishes and we were practically constantly in the way. At the beginning I asked whether we would receive the recipes for the cooking course afterwards, which we were assured of (which is certainly the point of such an expensive cooking course, to be able to cook the recipes here later). After 2 weeks I asked about them for the first time recipes. The manager, who knows exactly how his business is going, referred to the waiter. When I asked, they just said "no problem, we'll send the prescriptions" - but nothing. This went on and on for 3 months and the behavior just became ridiculous. Dealing with customers is impossible, just stupid talk and arrogant behavior - the main thing is that the cash register rings. (Of course it's annoying to send such annoying customers prescriptions for their money - thinks the stupidly grinning businessman...) If you read this in time: I clearly recommend not taking a cooking course here and rather leaving your money somewhere else!!!

Wir haben im Februar einen Kochkurs bei Ginti gebucht (im Wert von 100 € pro Person). Dieser fand in der Küche des Restaurants statt, wo wir mit insgesamt 4. Personen teilnahmen. Zum einen fiel uns auf, dass wir ziemlich störten, da währenddessen das Küchenpersonal versucht hatte, ihre Gerichte weiterhin vorzubereiten und wir praktisch ständig im Weg standen. Zu Beginn habe ich gefragt, ob wir die Rezepte für den Kochkurs im Nachgang erhalten, was uns zugesichert wurde (Was sicherlich Sinn eines so teuren Kochkurses ist, hier später die Rezepte auch nachkochen zu können) Nach 2 Wochen fragte ich zum ersten Mal nach den Rezepten. Der Geschäftsführer, der genau weiß, wie seine Geschäfte laufen, verwies auf den Kellner. Bei Nachfrage hieß es nur " ja kein Problem, wir schicken die Rezepte" - aber nichts. So ging es 3 Monate lang hin und her und das Verhalten wurde einfach nur lächerlich. Der Umgang mit Kunden ist unmöglich, nur dummes Gelaber - Hauptsache die Kasse klingelt. (Es ist natürlich lästig solch nervenden Kunden auch noch Rezepte für ihr Geld zukommen zu lassen - denkt der Geschäftsmann...) Wer das noch rechtzeitig liest: Ich empfehle hier klar keinen Kochkurs zu machen und das Geld lieber woanders zu lassen!!!

We had a good meal with 8 people. However, we were traveling with a voucher book and the 4 cheapest dishes should have been deducted. Unfortunately they subtracted 2 sauces instead of 2 main courses. The bill immediately seemed too high to us, but since we divided the sum by 4 couples, we only realized too late that they had not billed correctly. This leaves a bad aftertaste. It's a shame, we at least left 200 euros there.

The restaurant is located very downtown, but it is still relatively easy to find a parking space. Inside it is stylishly furnished and offers plenty of space. The waiters are very quick and friendly. But the highlight is clearly the food: I've rarely had such a good chicken tikka massala! The Indian bread Naan also tastes great - my tip: Naan Garlic (with garlic). If you like Indian cuisine and are looking for a stylish ambience in the middle of Cologne city center, you will definitely be happy with Ginti. In any case, we will come back (often).

Ginti in Cologne is undoubtedly the finest Indian restaurant. Being a Maharashtrian, I was in search of soul-satisfying food, and Ginti exceeded my expectations. It truly felt like a culinary journey back to India, and their traditional mango lassi was exceptional

The main courses were quite good and reasonably priced compared with other Indian restaurants. Unfortunately, I feel like we were taken advantage of with the sides/drinks. We ordered popodams and received 6….costing us 2.20 per piece…13.20 in total. For a 0.7litre bottle of water was €8. Seems very excessive. Oh well, it’s a shame as the food was decent but have no intention of going back.

The most boring curry I've had in a long time. Two cartilages in the flesh. After giving feedback to the service, shrugging the shoulders, “maybe it will be better next time”. Sigh.

One of the few Restaurants that serve late until 11:45 PM. Paneer Tikka and Chicken Lollipop were good but the Chicken Malai Kabab was missing the pinch of salt. Our Main Course Order has Lamb Tikka Masala and Kashmiri Dum Aloo, both were okay. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

When looking for a place online I thought: sounds good. Unfortunately it was very, very full and the tables were so close together that the neighboring table heard every conversation. But the volume is so high because of all the people that you can't have a good conversation anyway. The food prices are okay but the drink prices are almost outrageous. Other Indian restaurants offer a small appetizer on the house or a shot afterwards. But both are missing here. The taste of the food was okay but not more than that. When I went to the toilet in the basement, I felt sick because I was struck by a strange, musty smell, so I had to quickly get some fresh air.

The cuisine is certainly good despite a so-called cheese nan without cheese just with a few herbs and given the price I still have it in my throat since I didn't even eat it but we must not forget the rest like the welcome which was not at all friendly the prices are even excessive for their menu...first and last time in this restaurant.

The food was delicious. The service attentive. However, I only give it 3 stars. A piece of wheat costs a whopping €6.90...that's an outrageous amount even for Cologne. For dessert we ordered fried corn balls. No less than 2 mini balls, carelessly served floating in a sugar solution. That for €5.90. Just cheeky... I couldn't believe it, so I asked if that was supposed to be the dessert... Oh yes. The salad didn't seem particularly fresh and wasn't washed properly (it crunched 😐) Hence 3 stars.

Unfortunately, the visit wasn't that pleasant, we were almost pressured to order, especially since it was very loud due to the delivery service, the boxes were constantly being moved and there was discussion about what should go where and where. The noise level was very high, almost like in one Train station bar. When we asked the waiter to get another table, we were refused on the grounds that the noise had stopped and the people had now left, which of course wasn't true in retrospect - we weren't treated as a nice guest (customer). , the starter was too little and the main course had 3 small pieces of meat in it was said to be worth 3 euros - priced at 17.95 was very unreasonable (no photo taken), and the prices for a small Kölsch are absolutely overpriced - the food was tasty again very good - but we won't visit the Ginti again.

This is our annual Christmas dinner place. Bit this time we went there just because we love Indian food :-) always nice staff, very accommodating and friendly. Food is authentic Indian. If you are English or Korean , and used to more strong spicy, just ask them nicely to make it more spicier. They will do so gladly. We have been in diverse places for Indian food, including Germany and UK. When you in Cologne, you need a great Indian food, this is a good place to be. Enjoy:-)

Of course I forgot to take pictures for you again. But! My colleagues were busy. The scoring here is simple. If you like Indian food, you should come here. If you want to get to know Indian food, you should also come here. The food (there were four of us and we all had different dishes) was “without exception” very tasty. The “presentation” was very impressive and we spent a lovely evening in our cozy corner. Ambience: The restaurant was of course full. I found it a little bit “cramped” and a little “crowded”. Well, certainly an impression that is rather subjective. In any case, this didn't counteract the friendly and quick service. What I/we didn't like so much were the very ambitious drink prices. Conclusion: Recommended 👍🏼

Very tasty food, we order there quite often. But the delivery time doesn't work at all. Today we waited 2 hours for food. REALLY IMPOSSIBLE. We called there to ask where the order was, we were kindly told it was still on the way. After that we waited almost 30 minutes. So a total of 2 hours. Delivery times could be improved otherwise everything was great.

The food is tasty but nothing special. The prices are a bit high. Unfortunately the service was very inattentive and not friendly. Card payment was accepted, but was undesirable. On the way into the basement to the toilets it smelled extremely bad and could spoil your appetite (an indefinable smell, a bit like a stable). You can definitely come and eat here, but I wouldn't have to come here again now.

I visited here with my dear friends on my husband's recommendation. It was a huge mistake of mine. Especially the older man with glasses was very rude. We visited with our baby and asked him to provide enough space, but even he removed the chair for his own movement and said "there was enough space". We had to wait more than half an hour for ordering, and the food came out late, but he only asked for extra orders (without any excuse or asking if the food was okay). I felt so sorry for my friends. I wanted to give some tips an employee other than him, but I couldn't because he was the only one in charge of the payment. My husband runs a business, and he has visited here with his 10 employees. He likes to eat with his employees, so he was willing to visit often, but you missed out on big customers.

I ONLY rate the delivery time because I've been waiting for my order for 2 hours. The delivery time shown on Lieferando was 40-60 minutes. It took 90 minutes for the order to be confirmed. After calling to request a cancellation, I was told that I would then have to contact Lieferando myself to receive a refund. He doesn't have time to do that. I then let the order stand on the condition that it would take a maximum of 90 minutes. It's now been 2 hours and you can no longer reach the store at any number provided. Sunday or not, very bad ploy, despite the lack of a driver and the knowledge that you can't keep to the delivery times, accepting orders and confirming incorrect times AND then not answering questions by phone.

I ordered food through Uber eats from this place and the food was terrible. I ordered a butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, tandoori chicken and garlic naan. The butter chicken with the option called middle spice. The dish was extremely spicy that I could not eat further than a mouth or 2. I have no clue on in which part of India, butter chicken tastes like what I was served yesterday. The chicken tikka masala with the same option of middle spice. It honestly felt like raw chilli powder was mixed to the dish. Like seriously is the place just trying to show the spice levels of Indian spices. The palak paneer was very bland. The option for this was also middle spice. But this one had no taste at all. The tandoori chicken was ok and edible. The garlic naan was terrible and if people call this Indian naan, I am sorry to inform you that it isn’t as doughy as what was served last night to me. The charges of 15 to 20 euros per dish and the resulting food received makes me highly disappointed in Ginti. Kindly understand how spice levels for each dish works and how much maximum spice a dish takes to be authentic. Do not try to prove a point that Indian food is spicy and drench the food in chilli powder. And also kindly take a trip to India to understand the taste profiles of dishes.

I didn't have the best experience at this place. We had a few questions about the different food options in the menu, but the waiter was eager to take the order instead of providing answers or making recommendations that could help us in deciding what to order. The paneer gravy was sweet which was not expected. In my opinion, the taste and the quantity of the food were not value for money.
