The portions are small and overpriced. The dishes are broken. The naan with minced lamb only had a little tomato sauce in some corners. The butter chicken was extremely sweet. Why do you sprinkle fried onions on rice? This food has nothing to do with Indian food. The people who write that it is authentic obviously don't know their stuff. The right spices were missing. When we were asked if we liked it, we politely replied that we know the food differently (we are Indian ourselves) and were offered to make it spicier. Indian food is not only spicy but consists of a plethora of spices that were not used here. When we declined, we had to hear that we had to follow the trend and adapt the food and that the chefs with work visas couldn't stay long and that the hourly wage was so high that we had to think about what was worth it since we were running a business. Unfortunately, none of this changes the quality of the food, which absolutely does not justify the high prices. We won't come back and regret being here. Unfortunately, I only went to the women's toilet at the end with the completely sticky floor, otherwise I would have left straight away. Update after feedback on this review: Since we didn't like anything, we didn't eat anything and didn't want to take it with us. We didn't ask for the naan bread and we didn't want the ice cream either because we didn't like it. We kindly reported this back. Nevertheless, we remained decent and gave tips, even if we were loudly said goodbye while we were still talking. Don't worry, we won't be coming back anyway. Unfortunately the food is not authentic. We know the courts. Several other reviews say the same thing.

Ordered the Chicken Korma and Butter Naan via Uber Eats. Super fast delivery and the food was still really warm! The portion size and taste were great, one point deducted because the chicken wasn't completely cooked.

Good standard quality but nothing special. The staff is friendly and helpful, responds to special requests, but forgot half of my orders. You can eat well here if you live nearby, but I wouldn't drive further for it.

A family celebration in a dignified atmosphere. Very gracious welcome. Were shown to the reserved table and warmly welcomed. A very thoughtful gesture for me. Without being intrusive offered us drinks. The waiter who served us, very attentive and patient, explained the Indian dishes to us. Very personal combinations were available upon request created, everyone got their desired dish. It was a culinary journey. A real experience. On offer no wish remained unfulfilled. The prices were very reasonable for the offer, ambience, quality and performance. Unfortunately the toilet facility failed due to a technical defect, which was very annoying but couldn't be helped. The rep. emergency service was notified and we were politely offered the staff toilet. It was then very calming. Thanks for that. Delicious! Much better than we imagined and a great decision. We walked past here and it smelled unique, which is why we decided to visit this Indian guy in the evening. The food was completely convincing. First of all, they have a huge range of vegan and vegetarian dishes. The samosas and the paneer as a starter were delicious. The main course: curry and chicken, super tasty and authentic. The price performance is definitely right with this taste. The service was also super friendly, attentive and funny. All in all a great experience, we will definitely be back and can only recommend it to everyone in Cologne :)

We have ordered from Haweli several times and have always been very satisfied. During the last order via Lieferando, one of the dishes was damaged and expired. Lieferando didn't do anything, but Haweli simply reimbursed us for the dish and even gave us dessert on the house. Always my pleasure!

Leckeres indisches Essen und eine kleine Speise gratis vorab. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Kellner, welcher wirklich super freundlich und angenehm ist. Man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben.

Wir haben hier sehr gut gegessen. Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Zu bemerken ist die große Auswahl an veganen Gerichten. Auch unser Hund war willkommen und hat sich wohlgefühlt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Das war gar nichts! Das Lamm ist knallhart und staubtrocken, schon beim schneiden muss man Kraft aufwenden, geschweige denn beim kauen. Die zum Tandoori gereichte Sauce ist exakt die gleiche wie die vom Butter Chicken. Im Butter Chicken befanden sich ebenso trockene Hähnchenstücke, man bekommt sie kaum runtergeschluckt. Die Sauce im übrigen zu scharf/würzig. Eine große Enttäuschung!

Leckeres Essen, nach meinem Empfinden ist das Essen hier aber eher Smoothie als Curry (zu sehr/zu klein püriert). Zudem sehr Schade, dass es kein Mittagsbuffet mehr gibt seit Coronabeginn. Bei Bestellung wäre aktive Rückfrage/Info zu Mehrwegbehältern toll.

Ich bin froh, dass ich dieses Restaurant mit Freundinen entdeckt habe. Preis Leistung stimmt, das Personal passt gut auf den Gästen auf. Das Essen hat super geschmeckt (Samosa, Lammbällchen für mich). Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, wenn Familie irgendwann kommt, werde ich sicherlich sie dort auch einladen!

Ich fand das Essen Lecker und das Personal ist auch nett.

Das Essen ist echt gut, die Bedienung sehr sympathisch. Auch die Kosten sind im Rahmen. Nur das Ambiente ist vermutlich nicht jedermanns Sache. Es wirkt etwas beengt im Inneren aber wer gerne mal indisch probieren möchte ist hier nicht falsch. Parken ist übrigens kaum möglich, also eher auf die Linie12 zurückgreifen.

Good! The portion is pretty big and tastes original. The naan was a bit too raw in the inside still, so 1 star minus. But the service is lovely and super fast. Feels a little pricy with 11.90€ for the lunch option (curry, rice, naan), but good stuff! Lovely little outdoor terrace for sitting.

Außerordentlich leckeres Essen zu sehr moderaten Preisen

Erstklassiges Indisches Restaurant. Nach mehrere Reisen nach Indien, ist die indische Küche meine Lieblingsküche. Meiner Meinung nach kommt das Haweli sehr nah an die authentische indische Küche an. Besonders toll finde ich, dass die Speisen scharf zubereitet werden können, das fehlt mir bei den meisten indischen Restaurants. Ich kann viele Speisen, insbesondere das Butter chicken wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Nach mehreren Besuchen habe ich den Catering Service ebenfalls in Anspruch genommen, tolle Organisation!

Wir durften hawali als hochzeits Catering bei uns begrüßen und wirklich nichts auszusetzen ! Super Auswahl und sehr leckeres Essen . Nur weiterzuempfehlen 👍🏽

Das Essen war zwar lecker, aber viel zu Reis zu wenig Beilagen.. keine Cashewkerne, keine Mandeln.. Hatten uns aber extra für solch ein Menü entschieden. Vielleicht sind die Zutaten ausgegangen. Das darf einem so hochgepriesen Laden nicht passieren...?! Wir werden nächste mal anders wo indisch essen gehen.. Fazit, mich hat es nicht überzeugt. War bestimmt ein Ausrutscher..?

Butter Chicken: alles nur verbrannte Stückchen Hähnchen mit etwas geschmackslosem Reis,nicht mal ein Hauch von Mandeln und Cashew,wie es eigentlich in der Menükarte steht und das Ganze für 10 € - das nenne ich Abzocke. Nie wieder.

Einer der besten Inder Kölns. Authentisch gewürzt und nicht für westliche Menschen entschärft. Sehr abwechslungsreiche Gerichte. Leider gibt es das Mittagsbuffet nicht mehr.
