The worst experience I ever had in my life. The waiter was utterly rude, didn't have a minimum decency and showed disrespect to us. I would suggest to my friends to avoid such places.

It used to be good. We have known the Kama Sutra for about 15 years. Our last visit was rather disappointing, so we would rather eat Indian somewhere else in the future. Chairs that are now really worn out, oh well. It's nice to be asked if you want the food spicy. Then, despite the request not to serve it spicy, it came out so spicy that we hardly tasted anything. When you order a second glass of wine, the not completely empty glass is refilled at the table.... The whole time, YouTube clips with the corresponding advertising breaks are playing as musical accompaniment. It doesn't work at all!! Sorry, but serving with cloth gloves doesn't make up for the very high prices.

We were guests at Kamasutra last night and man, now all other Indian restaurants have been ruined for me. The food was absolutely delicious, the butter chicken even tasted great when reheated the next morning! The mocktails were delicious, the ambience was great, the service was fantastic. I'm a fan of honoring good food and good service and I'm very happy that the (albeit high prices) here are completely justified. Definitely a very valuable restaurant!

A culinary masterpiece - Kama Sutra is a must! I had the great pleasure of dining at Kamasutra and it was an absolutely outstanding experience! As soon as you enter the restaurant you are surrounded by a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately gives you the feeling of having arrived. The menu is a true revelation for any fan of Indian cuisine. Every dish I tried was perfectly prepared and full of authentic flavors. I would particularly like to highlight the Chicken Tikka Masala, which was simply delicious - the tender chicken breast in a wonderfully creamy, slightly spicy sauce sent my taste buds on an exciting journey. The perfect balance of spices and the quality of the ingredients were simply incomparable. The service at Kamasutra is also top notch. The staff is not only friendly and accommodating, but also extremely competent when it comes to making recommendations or explaining how the dishes are prepared. Here, as a guest, you feel completely comfortable and in good hands. All in all, Kamasutra is a real gem and a clear recommendation for anyone who loves Indian cuisine. Kamasutra is an absolute gem! The samosas were nothing short of amazing—crispy on the outside and perfectly spiced on the inside. The chutney was out of this world, bursting with flavor and the perfect complement to the samosas. I also tried the dal, which the owner assured me was made in the proper Indian style, and it did not disappoint. It was rich, hearty, and exactly what I was craving. The raita was also delicious, balancing everything out with its cool and creamy texture. What really made the experience special was the owner. Not only was he incredibly sweet, but he also went the extra mile by giving us some extra pakoras, which were just too good. The whole meal reminded me of home, and I can't wait to come back. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic and mouthwatering Indian food!

O.k., here we go. Was here once, and it's a few months ago, but I will still happily review this place in the best way I can. Cause it's good, let that be clear. Why? I travel a lot, and in every town I have visited for more than a few days, I will pay a visit to an Indian restaurant. Cause I like the taste of it, and so I've seen a lot. Most of the time, the food is good then, but the service and atmosphere I experience as marginal. Non of it here at this restaurant. Here at Kamasutra, everything is very okay. Good food, good price, you can pay by card (not always the case in Germany), nice interior and atmosphere and very friendly service. Every table is made in its own color and style, which leaves a cozy impression. We had a thali with meat and vegetables and enjoyed it very much. When visiting Köln, we will for sure, come around again.

If you want to eat Indian food, you should definitely go there. Food was very, very tasty. The service was extremely top. My best friend has several allergies and the kitchen has catered for them, e.g. I always changed knives or boards as soon as there was something on them that my best friend couldn't tolerate. And then the dips. Nom nom nom Really beautiful and it wasn't the last time I was there.

Hands down, our best dining experience in Cologne! Best cocktails! Best food! Best Service! We had Indian food on our list of meals we’d like to have while traveling to Germany. This was the highest rated Indian restaurant, and we soon found out why! Let’s start with the drinks. They have a selection of over 100 gins, and a very extensive drink menu. I had the Maharaja Mojito with gin, agave, lime, mint, and bitter lemon, and this was the best looking and tasting cocktail I had in the city. I also had the Romance at the Taj Mahal, which was also primo. Our server brought us out complimentary papadam with yogurt mint sauce. We ordered family-style the paneer tika masala, gosht ghassi, and the Murgh ki curry with raita and garlic nann. The food was fresh, authentic, and prepared with love. You could tell. Our service was incredibly attentive. They also make a great espresso! This place should be no less than five stars and needs to be on your list of must-haves when in Cologne.

Great and and very clean indian restaurant. I am a regular here and it is by far the best and also the oldest one in whole Cologne. Always very clean everywhere and the curries are very tasty. My recommendations are number 25,29 and the tikka massala. The personnel is lovely and they have a great gin selection too.

We went for an early dinner and the staff were fantastic. They even brought a special dessert at the end of our celebration. The food is fantastic and quite authentic upscale Indian food with lots of seafood. Finally they have an amazing wine selection. The price is not for the faint of heart, but otherwise, check it out!

Great Indian cuisine in a lovely atmosphere.

We ate a delicious meal, the owner warned us that the food we chose was spicy and if we actually wanted it. The food was spicy, but once you get used to it, it's quite tolerable. It's clear that the owners are passionate about their food and their restaurant. Especially if you show interest in the food and the restaurant. I even received a short tour with an explanation. An absolute plus point is that we sat on the terrace because of our dog, but we were invited to sit inside. A restaurant we will definitely visit again to enjoy the authentic cuisine of India.

We happened to eat there yesterday and were very impressed by the extremely friendly service and the very tasty food. The restaurant also offers a selection of gin that will make any connoisseur's heart beat faster. If you wanted to try all 101 types of gin, you would need weeks/months. Very impressive selection! A gin and tonic goes perfectly with Indian cuisine. We will definitely come back to the offer and come to the conclusion: highly recommended!

The food is very good and very hot. The staff is very attentive but not intrusive and the furnishings are loving but not tacky. If we are in Cologne again we would like to come back. In the photo is a chicken soup with mint and lamb in cashew sauce with rice and salad.

One of the best authentic Indian food in all of Europe I think :) We ordered soya chaap for starters and it was even better than what you get in India. Chicken and mutton curries were quite delicious. And so were the complementary cauliflower pakodas or fritters. You can see the extra effort that they have put to make the food as authentic as possible. If only more Indian restaurants did that :)

Have a very nice Father's Day! The restaurant looks inconspicuous when you walk past. If you take a closer look, you immediately notice the attention to detail. Cloth napkins with napkin ring, table cloth, beautiful and attractive decoration. But that's just the beginning, the service is reminiscent of top gastronomy, professional, friendly, accommodating. The food was top class. The Indian wines and spirits are particularly noteworthy.

It’s been more than a year I am staying in Köln and I nearly left the hope of having good Indian food until I came across this place. Ambience, service, food top nautch! It was such a lovely experience! We ordered chicken tikka, Nalli Nihari and Kerala fish curry. Absolute stunner! Tandoori roti and garlic naan just melted in mouth! Not to forget the custom made cocktail! Loved every bit of it!

The restaurant is a wonderful find! I chose this restaurant because of good reviews from various sources regarding quality and authenticity. I was there with my brother for a cozy, very atmospheric dinner. The selection of food and drinks is impressively varied and extensive. As a starter there were four types of tasty dips with naan bread and also the version made from lentil flour (both very tasty!). Also the prawns in soy sauce - just the right bite and seasoning: delicious! For the main course we chose the quail fillets and a lamb dish - both in wonderfully creamy vegetable sauces - with loose, aromatic basmati rice. The meat was on point: juicy and perfectly seasoned. The expectation of the Indian art of composing spices and flavors was highly fulfilled! 😋👍🙏🧞 The mango lassi was also bursting with aroma - tasty and fruity. The evening was rounded off with an Indian rum served by the house. Until now, I didn't know that rum could impress me so much: soft, full-bodied, multi-faceted with a subtle sweetness of vanilla and caramel. 🥃😋 A place to sip, feast and feel good! Tradition and modernity are brought together here in a very open-minded, uncomplicated way. Very pleasant staff! At the end there was a lively chat with the owner himself. If the essence is more important than unnecessary bells and whistles, you will be thrilled! Namaste! 🙏🌸😊 ... Vegans are also guaranteed to be happy here! And: quality has its justifiable price!
