As someone who has experienced and tested different tastes at many restaurants, I can confidently say that Kamasutra offers an exceptionally delicious dining experience. The flavors are masterfully crafted, and it's not just about the taste but also the impeccable service and extraordinary cleanliness. I highly recommend trying their special dish, Soya Chilli, which we always order. My husband especially loves it, and I can bet that no one in Europe can make it better than here. It's truly a unique and irresistible dish! Words cannot do justice to how much we appreciate this restaurant. Thank you, Kamasutra, for giving us the best taste and incredible service. We are 99.99% satisfied and will definitely be back for more. 🫶🫡🫠😋🤤

One of the authentic Indian food I had in Germany. The service was really great. Gurpreet was an amazing host and he helps us to find the right menu.Highly recommended for anyone looking to have an authentic Indian dining experience. Getting parking in that location is bit hectic better choose any Parkhouse nearby and go by walk.

The waitress is extremely attentive and recommends the dishes that he loves. The menu includes all well-known Indian dishes and additional house specialties. Regardless of the specified level of spiciness, all dishes can be ordered as desired. Prices are high but good ingredients are used. Only when it comes to desserts does the portion size not match the price.

The food was okay, but not as exceptional as we expected based on the great reviews. Unfortunately, the papadam didn't have any accompanying dips like we know from other Indian restaurants. In our opinion, price-performance is not consistent. Wines very expensive. Unfortunately, our clothing smelled strongly of food afterwards. The service men were extremely friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, that didn't work out so well for us because our conversation was constantly interrupted by well-intentioned attention...

Excellent Indian restaurant in Cologne, BarbarossaPlatz area. The staff are very friendly, very good food with generous portions. Main course plus a side dish for around €34/head, together with a hot tea and a bottle of sparkling water (shockingly at €8.20). Internally colored and furnished with gems reminiscent of India. Many vegetarian dishes available!

Super atmosphere and best butter chicken in köln

Very very tasty, well seasoned Indian food. Excellent service. And you can even have it delivered, which is not the same, but is a comfort to the palate in times of need.

Of course it's great when you have reserved a table a week in advance and then you find yourself in front of a closed restaurant on time for your appointment because it is closed today "due to cleaning measures". How about canceling? Absolute impudence!

I can't believe it took me this long to finally dine at Kamasutra. The decor as you walk in is very tasteful with tables adorned with white linen. The service was very friendly, and we connected on various topics about life, education and attaining goals. We got there for lunch and ordered a huge spread - we had lassis (mango and pineapple), chicken malai for appetizer, butter chicken, chicken biryani and garlic naan. We finished with a teapot of masala chai. I had just come back from a business trip from India, and I would say this rivaled if not was better - the meat was so tender and juicy, and the butter chicken curry and chicken malai were the best I ever had. We can't wait to go back, especially since the chef said he will share his recommendations the next time.

All around great! We were really excited. The service is particularly noteworthy again. Great accompaniment throughout the evening, with recommendations and personal stories from the owners. Thank you for everything! Absolute recommendation. We'll be back.

We are actually really excited about the food. We have been there several times and order there almost weekly. Today we also had something from Kamasutra delivered to us via Wolt. The food had nothing to do with the quality we are used to from Kamasutra! When you spend almost €19.00 on butter chicken, you expect the same taste. Unfortunately this time it was completely different than usual - bland and tasteless. The Peneer Tikka was also not good. Little taste and striking spiciness. Even the mango chutney was different than usual... unfortunately disappointing that the quality varies so much.

The story goes like this: We were travelling to Köln and it was around 07:30 in the evening, when our train took a long halt in one of the stations near Köln. Hungry, we checked and found this highly rated restaurant and thought to give it a try, not realising that this will be another absolute favourite Indian Resto. Food, top quality, exactly like that we find in premium restos in India. We tried Chicken Tikka, and let me tell you the chicken is so soft that it blends into your mouth, giving you that burst of flavours all at once. Creamy, tender and juicy. Served with mint chutney and spiced up with vinegar soaked onions, the dish was heaven! Next we tried Chicken Tikka Masala with butter naan. The dish was again well made with all the masalas in proper proportion. An added blend was a bit of melted cheese in the dish, which gave an unforgettable flavour to the dish. The butter naans were soft, thin and crisp. And it was ordered in repeat mode, because you hardly find good naans while away from home! Mango Lassi, was pure, absolutely like the genuineness in the hospitality of the staff and the owner at this place! Will visit again?! Surely, counting our days for our next Köln visit!

Was told by a friend that this was a restaurant I couldn’t miss in Colonge and I am so glad I paid attention to the recommendation. The high end Indian food affair is delicious! Everything we ate was bursting with flavors and spices and it was like a happy dance in my mouth! The service was amazing as it’s expected from restaurant and the restaurant was gorgeous and moody. Really amazing dinner can’t wait to go back !

We had a completely successful evening! The owner of the restaurant is so friendly and accommodating that many restaurants can copy him. The guest is king here! The Indian food (we had: vegetarian starter for 2 people, Chicken Massalla, Paneer Massalla and Garlic Naan) was so incredibly tasty, very delicately seasoned and was very attractively prepared and served. We will definitely come back and can only recommend the Kamasutra.

Had a great evening at Restaurant Kamasutra perfectly complimented with excellent food and equally delightful service. The Tandoori starter, mutton curry, prawn main course, lamb chop everything was perfectly nuanced with the right balance of spices which was not overwhelming but delicately enhanced the taste. On top of that restaurant manager, Gurpreet singh was the perfect host with his very pleasant demeanor. We would be getting back soon to explore more of their food.

You have to come here. It's that simple. Look, I will just say that it's sometimes harder than it should be to find good food in Germany, let alone good service. This place radically altered that idea for me. Not only is the food absolutely incredible, the best I've had in Germany let alone ever in my life, the service is simply amazing. This is one of those rare restaurants that has only gotten better with time. I had last visited this restaurant about 5 years back, and I loved the food, atmosphere and hospitality. We visited them again on 26th Dec, and after 5 years, the food has become so much more better. Unlike many other Indian restaurants in EU, Kamasutra gives you proper and genuine Indian food. All their dishes are reliable, tasty. We tried the mixed tandoori platter, paneer tikka, dal makhani, homemade chicken curry, and nalhi nihari, with some garlic/butter naans. And if you enjoy tandoori food, DO NOT miss the tandoori platter, it is amazing, and they also offer genuine corriander/mint chutney too. The nalhi was damn delicious, and please do try if you enjoy mutton. If you're looking for genuine Indian food in Cologne, Kamasutra is the place for you to go. Thanks for the lovely experience.

Hands down the best North Indian food in Europe. Words cannot explain the taste, the quality and the hospitality of this place. The chicken, lamb, paneer, dal, paratha, naan...everything was just so good. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was quick and just perfect. The portions were decently large and everything was super delicious. Will recommend this to everyone who wants to taste what real sumptuous North Indian delicacies taste like. Everything was just perfect.

Was over all a very good experience, taste was good too.The only thing I felt was it was a bit way too expensive for the overall quantity and the location.

Arrived at 3 at the last minute, on December 24 and frankly super pleasant, fast and friendly service and the food took us out of our habits. A little reluctant at first because it's unknown but in the end we highly recommend it! Hats off to the team! Well done

The overall experience was not great as you would expect. The food was good but service not so much. There's a mandatory drink to be taken with food policy which I think is absurd. During the course of the meal we would have definitely ordered but being asked to order was not something we preferred. Plus, we felt liked we lacked privacy.

Both the food and the staff were great. Indian food as it should be, with the right spiciness and good taste. The location of the restaurant is also very good and easy to reach.

I was eating here together with my girlfriend and it was simply amazing. We both have a gluten allergy, but that was no problem here. There were a lot of gluten free options and the waiter was extremely friendly and he explained us how they prepared all the glutenfree food. The butter chicken, the chicken masala and the onion balls were super tasty. We can definitely recommend this place.

The advice on the menu was great. Our waiter also catered to our individual needs. And the food was great. Great authentic Indian cuisine. The mixed starter platter is highly recommended. An absolute taste experience! Last Saturday we were lucky enough to spontaneously get a table for two people - despite the heavy crowds in the restaurant. What we immediately noticed was the outstanding and I would like to emphasize it, exceptionally warm service! Here you can feel that customer service is really lived and has the highest priority. The food was simply fantastic – a true feast for the senses! The butternut chicken and the garlic naan in particular were incomparable and by far the best we've ever tasted. You can taste the passion and dedication with which they cook here. Our first visit was a complete success and we will definitely be happy to come back! thank you very much!

During my recent trip to Cologne, I found this Indian restaurant close to my hotel Wasserturm. Great Food and hospitality. Parmeet or Paramjeet (Cannot recollect the name exactly), is a great guy you can get connected with the moment you step into the restaurant. Saw so many Indian families and Indian people enjoying the food. Great taste. Must visit. Highly recommended. Authentic Indian food including Samosa Chat and all other Indian food items.
