A beautiful hotel that invites you to linger. We have stayed at this hotel twice so far and were very impressed by the comfortable room furnishings. The staff is also very courteous, friendly, and competent.

A very good hotel. Very good service. Parking is available. The rooms are very comfortable. The surrounding area is great with many cafes and restaurants, as well as a spa garden and thermal baths with a sauna. The hotel also offers a small sauna on-site.

The room was clean, but there were a few technical glitches, such as the lamp by the bed and a loose tile in the bathroom. The service took care of the problem promptly. Breakfast was served to everyone, and the lady was happy to help with any special requests. The entire staff was friendly.

Breakfast was simply brilliant, I can only recommend it.

The hotel is in a great location, spacious, clean rooms with a view. Lovely rustic decor. Staff is helpful and attentive, the bathroom is spacious, but more storage space would be welcome. Breakfast is perfect, and table service is excellent. We'd be happy to return!

First of all, it's important to note that, contrary to what's described on various platforms, there's no washing machine. We also stayed in the vacation apartment in the newer annex. There's no room service there. Intermediate cleaning (including fresh towels, etc.) is available for an additional charge. Nevertheless, the location and the friendly staff won us over. The annex is a short climb up a hill. You have a direct parking space in the underground garage and a large private apartment with a kitchen and everything you need.

It's a shame we can't give 6 stars. We stayed there for one night and had a nice, cozy, and clean double room. The bathroom and shower are better than those offered by providers in other cities. The location by the stream provided a lovely murmur at night, while we slept in an incredibly comfortable bed. From the reception, to the professional cleaning staff, to the breakfast service; what wonderful people. Thank you for allowing guests to experience warmth and appreciation in this hotel! Thank you for the wonderful time.

Well, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it in terms of work, but from the look of it, it's a nice hotel, that's why it gets the second star. For an overnight stay, the whole thing is certainly pleasant.

Favorite hotel in the Harz. We have been there several times and will be back because everything is just right. Great location, cozy apartments furnished with attention to details, great breakfast and nice staff.

We can only recommend this hotel to every guest! The hotel is very centrally located, the rooms are immaculate, the staff are friendly and helpful. We had booked breakfast, which left nothing to be desired. Thank you for everything, we'll be happy to come back.

The hotel is located in the city center on the main pedestrian street, we had a family room with two bedrooms, also had its own kitchen. The rooms were clean and spacious, but a big comment about the pillows, they were very old and did not hold their shape at all, it feels like you are sleeping without a pillow. Please replace them with new ones. The hotel has a sauna that can accommodate a maximum of 5 people and a relaxation room. Overall, the stay was comfortable, but because of the pillow I could not sleep half the night. Also, the hotel has a restaurant where you can buy breakfast for 25 euros per person, I think it is expensive and 500 meters from the hotel there is a cafe with breakfast where you can buy it for 25 euros for two people

Had breakfast there. It was a really nice experience. A plentiful breakfast and great service. Couldn’t be better.

We had a room on the mountain. It was very nice and the food was very good. The staff were very friendly. All highly recommended.

We spontaneously went to Bad Harzburg with our dog at the weekend. The holiday apartment was very themed. The focus was on the former sports school. Lots of attention to detail. However, there were no bowls or other small attentions for the dog. But it wasn't particularly bad because ours is very focused on her own things. Dog of habit for her proud 18 years. The breakfast in the hotel itself was optimal in terms of price-performance ratio. The guests had their breakfast served on a cake stand and you could always request it. The service in the breakfast restaurant was outstanding. The two very friendly and motivated employees named Bettina and Manu served us very attentively. Especially since we didn't eat certain products, alternative cold cuts were offered. Overall, we were very happy with everything. I can only recommend the hotel/holiday apartment and the extensive breakfast menu.

So in short: we were absolutely thrilled! We booked a spontaneous overnight stay at the hotel and our expectations were far exceeded. The room or apartment was bright and friendly furnished, with special and nice decorative elements typical of the Harz region. Top! Everything was perfectly clean and overall made a high-quality and well-kept impression. And there was always absolute peace in the house for the best relaxation. Another highlight was breakfast the next morning. We spontaneously decided on a delicious breakfast, which was absolutely unbeatable in terms of value for money. Very courteous service, our every wish was read from our lips and always refilled without being asked if we needed anything else, from rolls to cold cuts, various egg variations, coffee or tea and of course there was also orange juice or sparkling wine, so we were ultimately happy and full and above all very satisfied. A special thank you to Manu and Bettina, they both provided perfect service. Where else can you find such friendly and service-oriented staff these days? A little tip: in Plumbohms of course. It was really great, we will definitely come back and can absolutely recommend the hotel and gastronomy. Keep it up!

In summary, unfortunately only three stars. The location is good, in the middle of the city center and easy to reach from all sides. The rooms are a nice size and the bathrooms are newly renovated. Unfortunately, the rest of the room is spartan and I think the price is quite high for a room without a refrigerator. It should be noted that the wooden furnishings are not made from cheap industrial wood. Let's come to the unfortunately not so nice point of service. It's okay that the reception was only staffed during the day. The trusted drinks fridge with cash register offers beer, wine, chips and soft drinks at very expensive prices. Unfortunately, breakfast was only served from 8:00 a.m. in the morning, which is not described in the hotel documents. The reception also didn't open until 8:00 a.m. When asked, it was not possible to eat the first little things at 7:30 a.m. while breakfast was being set up. Even the room key couldn't be taken from me. Since I had to go, I put the room key on the counter and left the hotel without breakfast. Unfortunately I won't be back normally.

The suite we booked was very spacious and well furnished. Unfortunately, we discovered that there is no daily cleaning if you don't book breakfast every day. This should be communicated more clearly in the booking confirmation. Upon request, we received room cleaning for 40 euros. What? We could have booked a holiday apartment, then it would have been clear that there was no room service. There was long hair on the bed and a clay pot with a butt in it on the balcony. Location was great. In the middle of the pedestrian zone! We had 2 dogs with us and they were charging a lot of money for them. As I said, we booked a suite in the hotel and not a holiday apartment in the hotel. I expect cleaning every day and fresh towels.

If comfort is important to you on vacation, this house is the right place for you. We had booked an apartment with breakfast. Pricey but if you want to pamper yourself, the perfect place. Very friendly staff, the apartment was equipped above average and had a very pleasant living environment thanks to the design with lots of wood. Located in the middle of the pedestrian zone of Bad Harzburg. Good, rich breakfast, every wish was catered for. We can only recommend the house

Leider wurden wir nach 30 Minuten Wartezeit, trotz Nachfrage und bei wenig Gästen nicht bedient. Die Kinder haben vor Hunger schon angefangen zu weinen! Die Preise sind außerdem exorbitant hoch. Wir sind unverrichteter Dinge wieder ins Tal gefahren und haben ein Restaurant besucht, dass uns willkommen geheißen hat!

I wasn't in the hotel but in the café and it was breathtaking. The service was very polite and nice. The food was spectacular and the dessert was sweet and crunchy.

Wir haben dort 2 Fleischgerichte fur 23, 50 und 24,50 bestellt, was ich schon recht happig fand. Das Gericht meines Mannes war soweit in Ordnung, wenn auch nichts besonderes und leider mit einem lächerlich kleinen Salat ( sonst war kein Gemüse dabei). Mein Hähnchenfleisch war nur ein dünner Lappen, völlig trocken und sehr durchzogen. Es wirkte, als hätte man ein Stück vom Vortag einfach nochmal auf den Grill geworfen. Konnte nur einen kleinen Teil davon essen. Der Rest war ganz gut. Insgesamt fand ich es von der Menge jedoch zu wenig. Als der Kellner kam habe ich mich beschwert, dass das Fleisch nicht gut war und viel zu trocken. Der Kellner war völlig perplex, so als hätte er noch nie eine Beschwerde bekommen. Er meinte nur, er werde es in der Küche ausrichten. Weiter passiert is jedoch nichts...keine Entschuldigung, kein Preisnachlass oder wenigstens ne Kugel Eis oder so. Es wurde nicht mehr erwähnt. Im Nachhinein habe ich mich geärgert, dass ich es nicht gleich habe zurückgehen lassen. Für 24, 50 ein zähes Stückchen Hähnchenfleisch fand ich doch mehr als enttäuschend. Da tröstet auch die schöne Aussicht nicht drüber hinweg. Scheinbar is das alles, was dieses Gasthaus zu bieten hat. Schade!

The entire hotel and the rooms in particular are furnished with great attention to detail. Rustic in keeping with the resin but still naturally modern. An absolute highlight was the excellent breakfast, where basically every wish was fulfilled, almost before we knew we had it 😉 A very special thank you goes to the wonderful lady from the service who made breakfast a real experience. We will definitely come back.

We felt absolutely comfortable in this very nice hotel with a perfect location! The suite is furnished with love and nothing is missing. Almost everything in terms of activities is within walking distance. Our dog also really enjoyed the stay. From the balcony you can look directly onto Bummel Allee, which is always worth a walk with numerous restaurants for every taste. The breakfast in the hotel is particularly noteworthy here. The staff is very considerate and friendly! This definitely won't be the last time we check into Plumbohm's real Harz Hotel ;)

Great service, I can only recommend it.

The romantic suite was a little carelessly furnished. A nice big bathtub, but no special bath additives, no decorations, candles, flowers... Light in the bathroom is not optimal, the mini magnifying game stuck in the corner doesn't help much. An old and a new toilet paper holder next to each other? Care products? A soap dispenser at the sink and one in the shower. The wardrobe is quite small. Pictures applied carelessly and amateurishly. (With a ribbon on the nail!) No coffee, tea, sugar, milk in the room. Just basic coffee maker. Kettle was dented. Instructions for dishwashers and how to use the fireplace are missing. There are always guests who don't know anything like this. A few blankets in the room wouldn't be bad either. Breakfast price when booking 17.90. When we got there the booking said €19.90. However, €23.90/person was charged on site. (Apparently forgot to change online) Breakfast is no longer worth it here. Are there enough cheaper alternatives nearby. In general we didn't think the price was appropriate. There is still a lot of room for improvement here.

We stayed in one of the suites for the third time on our winter short vacation. Always nice here!

Wir waren mit 3 Personen zum Frühstück bei Plumbohm.Das Frühstück war sehr dürftig: 7 Scheiben Käse,8 Scheiben Wurst,ein kleines Glas mit Obststücken,1 kleines Schälchen mit Fleischsalat.Und das alles für 3 Personen!! Kein Müsli,keine Jogurd,kein Fisch,kein Schinken,das Ei war sehr hart und kalt,Sekt gab es erst bei Nachfragen....Und das alles für über 70 Euro! Wir werden das Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen.

The hotel was really great. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were large and clean. The bathroom in particular was flawless. The furnishings were also really suitable and not cheap. Lots of solid wood. The location is great, it couldn't be better in Bad Harzburg. We will be back definitely.

Ein mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtetes Hotel im Herzen von Bad Harzburg. Tolles Frühstück, sehr guter Service, einfach zum Wohlfühlen.

Sehr gut aber nicht außergewöhnlich gut. Auf der Suche nach Ruhe bei einem stressigen Alltag ein perfekter Ort.

Ich kann nur sagen, alles absolut perfekt. 100% empfehlenswert. Ich werde garantiert wiederkommen.

Nicht nur das Berghotel sondern auch dies im Herzen von Bad Harzburg kann man nur hoch loben. Die Zimmer - wir haben ein Upgrade auf die Suite bekommen, vielen Dank dafür - auch der Service sowie das Essen (erstklassiges Frühstück) sind hervorragend. Wir genießen noch unsere Zeit im Plumbohms, werden aber sicherlich auch bald wiederkommen.

Wir durften uns ,für eine Nacht in diesen gemütlichen Hotel ausruhen. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Frühstück wird liebevoll eingedeckt . Am Tisch gibt es eine Etagere mit verschiedenen Köstlichkeiten , nach Lachs /Rührei etc. wurde am Tisch gefragt. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Dieses Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen. Auch die Lage ist top. Man ist direkt auf der Meile.

Waren jetzt zum 3. Mal im Hotel und waren wieder begeistert bon dem Zimmer und dem Service. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Haben direkt fürs nächste Jahr gebucht.

Schönes Hotel. Ich war im Aussichtsreich mit meiner Frau. Nicht ohne Grund das 2. Mal. Wenn die kleinen Alterserscheinungen behoben werden, gibt's für die Zimmer auch wieder 5 Sterne.

Super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zimmer sauber und modern ausgestattet. Für einen Familienausflug zu empfehlen.

Wir sind mit 10 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern für 3 Tage dagewesen. Die Wohnungen sind top. Jede individuell. Alle haben sich wohlgefühlt. Der Empfang war super freundlich und ist auf unsere diversen Wünsche eingegangen. Das Frühstück war gut sortiert. Es wurden frisch Rühreier, gek. Eier, Spiegeleier, je nach Wunsch zubereitet. Müsli, Lachs etc wurden auf Wunsch gebracht. Wir bedanken uns für das entspannte Wochenende.

Sehr leckeres Essen und sehr netter Service. Die Getränke und das Essen kamen schnell und auf unsere Wünsche würde auch eingegangen .

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen wenn man spontan frühstücken gehen möchte! Um 9:30Uhr konnte man uns leider schon kein Frühstück mehr anbieten. An einem Wochentag, keine Ferien oder Feiertag! Wir wurden mir den Worten "es ist nichts mehr da" empfangen. Zwei Tische waren belegt (insgesamt 5 Personen). Ganz schwache Leistung wenn man überlegt wo dieses Unternehmens versucht hat mitzuspielen!

First of all the rooms are very comfortable, tastefully designed, clean, spacious with big windows. The small roof top sauna is one of the highlights. Unfortunately in the course of the last years the service has really deteriorated. The reserved stuff at the reception is rarely to be seen and doesn't offer much chance to ask some simple questions. The breakfast has been a big disappointment. The sleepy and indifferent stuff has reluctantly offered additional scrambled eggs and tea, as if we have asked for the best bottle of champagne or the youngest child of the employee. The restaurant and the bar seemed to be a wasted opportunity. In the past self made spread and well prepared dishes were served in a much more lively, welcoming and charming atmosphere.

Am 25.04.22 war ich Gast des Restaurants Plumbohms. Das Restaurant bietet eine schöne Aussicht in das Harzer Vorland. Dort einzukehren ist immer wieder ein Erlebnis. Als Spezialität ist die Currywurst vom Wild- und Hausschwein zu empfehlen. Für eine Wanderung ist die Currywurst , nach einem Spezialrezept gemacht, zu empfehlen. Vermisst habe ich allerdings die Schärfe. Alles andere war sehr gut. Als Getränk ist ein Bier der Traditionsbrauerei Altenau zu empfehlen. Ein Besuch ist daher zu empfehlen.
