Pinocchio in Nürnberg

I ate very good pasta Amazariana, with very friendly service, at fair prices. The house wine was good quality and reasonably priced. I felt comfortable in the cozy, intimate atmosphere. A bit like being in an Italian village!

I was here in Nuremberg for five days. We ate their pizza on two evenings, and I can honestly say it's one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I recommend it to everyone!

We went there for the first time with friends. Very clean, but small and charming. The pizza was delicious, as were the pasta dish and the salad. Everything is also available for takeout... It's our friends' favorite spot, and we were pleasantly surprised. We'll definitely be back...

I picked up two Pizza Speciale pizzas today. I asked for a little more cheese. The employee said he'd add it. When I got home, I saw that there was very little cheese on them, and the ham was missing. There were five small slices of salami and a little bit of bell pepper. Only the mushrooms were sufficient. Since this had happened to me there before, I assumed it was a mistake. It wasn't! I read in the reviews that someone else also searched in vain for the ham on their Speciale pizza. I will avoid this pizzeria in the future. I'd rather drive to a different one. I can only advise everyone to check their pizza before paying to make sure everything is on it as listed on the menu.

We visited this pizzeria twice during our stay in Nuremberg – and that really speaks for itself. The pizzas are huge, topped with delicious toppings, and of truly excellent quality. The dough is perfect: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. We tried a variety of dishes, usually pizza, and were absolutely satisfied every time. The restaurant itself is rather traditional and not particularly large, but very busy – which is certainly due in part to the quality. The service is friendly and fast, and the prices are absolutely reasonable. If we lived in Nuremberg instead of Cologne, we would definitely be regulars. In conclusion: If you're craving really good pizza in Nuremberg, this is the place to be! 🍕

The best pizza in town. Reservations are recommended from Friday to Sunday, as there aren't many seats inside. Call about 15 minutes in advance for pickup; it can get very busy between 5 and 7 p.m., and you'll have to wait a bit. Delivery isn't recommended, as they usually don't have their own drivers, and delivery drivers or similar subs are unreliable (they're often late). But I'm driving that way anyway, so I pick up some for the family on the way home.

On the evening of August 5, 2025, my husband and I visited Pinocchio's restaurant, the Osteria, to round off our short vacation in Nuremberg. Initially, we were impressed by the concept of separating the restaurant from walk-up customers by creating a separate snack bar where takeaway food is sold. We loved the ambiance with its amusing photos on the walls. We both ordered bruschetta and a pizza to share, which blew us away. The thin crust practically crackled with crispness when cut, just like we've come to expect from advertisements that can't keep their promises. Here, however, nothing was promised at all, and we were all the more pleasantly surprised. Our pizza also tasted fantastic—no overpowering cheese, just a wonderful aroma. That's exactly what we imagine an Italian pizza to be. The service was also excellent. As a farewell from the kitchen, my husband chose a grappa, and I, who rarely drinks alcohol, also received a free espresso, which I was very pleased about. The Italian restaurant is not centrally located and is probably frequented by locals, so it's not just a tourist restaurant. It's worth a detour to enjoy really good Italian food at a reasonable price. It's easily accessible by public transport. We were lucky that the walk from our hotel wasn't too far. We were completely thrilled!

One of the best pizzas of my life

I was supposed to pick up my pizza in half an hour. You look forward to a pizza at work. I picked up my pizza half an hour later sharp. The pizza was so cold and didn't have much topping. Since you can't find anything else at that time of day, I could only eat half and threw the other half away. And after half an hour, I had a stomach ache and circulatory problems. I think there's something wrong with the cheese. I know you don't give a damn, but you're not getting another cent from me.

A wolf in sheep's clothing! The shop looks like the classic German-Italian village shop and so you go in with certain expectations. The classic pizza that you give a 5/10, but you thought wrong!! What awaits you here is a 10/10! The pizza is fresh, from a good oven, with selected and fresh ingredients, at reasonable prices. A fantastic meal that you don't have to wait long for. We rushed in with 14 people and were all excellently looked after. Thank you for the lovely evenings!

Went for dinner with a large group (17 people) after an event there in the evening (9 p.m.) with a reservation. I have now found my favorite pizzeria in my area, but at Pinocchio I have to say the 4 cheese pizza (with extra sucuc) was really delicious. Dough is rather thin and tastes very good. The toppings are definitely enough and the pizza is big enough to feed a grown man. Service was quick, courteous, friendly and personable. Gladly again!

Lasagna was a total disappointment today. You had to look for more than 13 layers of pasta, sauce and meat. The lasagna couldn't be eaten with a spoon; it actually had to be cut with a knife. A pity.
