Unbeatable location at the Rhein edge. Quirky building that use to be a crane and later a level measuring building. Easygoing relaxed staff. Most famous quote: "Here is the menu.. but we only open in 4 minutes.". Never mind, because the service is a perfect all-around care. The drinks fabulous and the food outstanding.

Absolutely 5 stars from me. We were lucky, the weather in May was fantastic and we were able to sit outside. I had reserved in advance and our table right on the bank was beautifully decorated, the service was friendly, quick and perfect. Our food was delicious and we enjoyed the view over the water. I really have to say, our dinner at the Pegelhaus was perfect and I can only praise it. We wouldn't have wished for anything else. Keep it up. And in the end the team called us a taxi. Thank you very much!

Very friendly staff, we only had a drink and were still warmly welcomed, that's a big plus. We will definitely be coming to dinner soon, it sounds very good. Ambience is great and clean. Keep it up, great well-kept location.

Actually, all the tables outside were reserved, but since we just wanted to have a drink, we were still allowed to sit down. The view of the Rhine is great, the service was very friendly and on point. We didn't eat anything, but the food at the other tables at least looked delicious. The inside is also cute, reminiscent of a lighthouse.

A restaurant for a special occasion. The seats in the dome are beautiful and offer an incomparable view of the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, the cable car with gondolas and the Rhine. The menu is relatively small, but of very high quality. From vegan to steak, everyone will find something here. My wife and I celebrated our engagement here as a family. We would have liked people to have been a little more attentive. A simple “congratulations” would have been enough. Regardless, the service is good and friendly. If you are looking for a restaurant that has that certain something, this is the place for you. The slightly higher price for food and drinks is justified here and is also completely acceptable compared to Koblenz. For us, the Pegelhaus is the address we give to friends when they want to go out for a “fancy” meal.

It's very nice to sit there by the Rhine.

We always enjoy coming here to visit, the ambience is beautiful, the location impressive, the food is usually delicious, the background music is soothing. The waitress was a bit dreamy, inattentive but nice - I couldn't be mad at her, even so young...so it applies, Please train the staff so that they can work confidently on guests. We'd love to come back...we always have a water level house on our note.

We spent a wonderful evening in the Pegelhaus. We had a reserved spot outside with a view of the Rhine. The food was 1a, my baked pollack in a herb crust melted in your mouth and my husband's burger was also very tasty. We were served very friendly and courteously and the ambience is fantastic. And of course the weather was great too.

Wenn man die Wendelstufen-Treppen hinaufgestiegen ist, erwartet den Gast ein schöner Restaurantraum mit tollen Aussichten auf Koblenzer Kleinode. Und dazu passend bietet die Küche schmackhafte Gerichte und natürlich auch gute begleitende Weine. Das freundliche Personal sorgt dafür, dass man den Aufenthalt wirklich genießen kann.

Once you have climbed the spiral stairs, a beautiful restaurant room awaits your guest with great views of Koblenz's gems. And to go with it, the kitchen offers tasty dishes and of course good accompanying wines. The friendly staff ensures that you can really enjoy your stay.

Das schöne Ambiente am Koblenzer Rheinufer machte die Schwächen beim Essen und Trinken leider nicht wett. Das Tomahawk vom Heimatschwein, mit 24 Euro durchaus selbstbewusst bepreist, konnte man noch als ordentlich durchgehen lassen, auch wenn es etwas trocken daherkam. Nicht akzeptabel war der Chicken-Salat, der aussah und schmeckte, als wenn er schon den ganzen Tag in seiner Sauce gestanden hätte. Allerdings wurde unsere Reklamation sofort akzeptiert und das Gericht von der Rechnung genommen. Weniger als mässig war auch der trockene Blanc de Noir vom lokalen Weingut Toni Müller. Von einem BdN erwarte ich nicht die Entführung in den Weinhimmel, aber besser als dieser - geschmacklich eher halbtrocken und sensorisch weit entfernt von der üblichen Stilistik dieses Weintyps - sollte er dann doch schon sein. Der eigentlich flinke und lässige Service wollte mir dann erzählen, dass man von einem Blanc de Noir keinen normalen Wein erwarten dürfe. Ein kleiner Wein, der ein wenig Freude macht, dürfte es aber doch schon sein.

Absolutely a must if you are looking for a restaurant in Koblenz! Highly recommended, great service. The only drawback, with the rump steak I would recommend a steak knife, so you could cut the meat better and cleaner.

A place where you can enjoy a meal while enjoying the scenery along the Rhine River. The service was very good, and I ordered grilled cod (Seelachs) with potatoes and it was delicious. Please note that it may be a bit hot due to the glass ceiling. I am someone who gets cold a lot, so it was actually nice and warm. :-)

Great ambience with a beautiful view of the Rhine and the fortress. We took the “Daily Lunch” which was pork tomahawk steak with grilled vegetables and potato wedges. The portion was large and deliciously prepared. Very friendly service, all around a nice lunch break in the Pegelhaus.

Wir waren rundum sehr zufrieden: Die Kellnerin war sehr nett und zuvorkommend, das Essen sowie der Wein waren sehr lecker. Die Location mit dem Blick über den Rhein ist traumhaft. Das einzige, was besser werden könnte, ist das Angebot für Vegetarier, das ist noch bei weitem nicht vergleichbar mit dem Angebot an Fleisch- und Fischgerichten.

We had a wedding dinner here in the dome. That's what we said and we expected our places to be made nice, at least a little bit. But nothing! Not even a “All the best to you.”, a place by the window or anything else. A pity. And so the evening continued. In the past, as a couple you had your own space. Today you have to share the table with others and the room is so crowded that sitting down or standing up is very uncomfortable. It's extremely loud and you almost have to shout at each other to make sure you understand each other, even though you're not even sitting a meter apart. One gets the impression that they want to cram as many paying guests as possible here. The steak was very well cooked and tasty, but you had to cut it with your dinner knife instead of getting a proper steak knife. That was very difficult. The drinks were of very good quality, which also had its price. The service was extremely friendly but not attentive. The lamps blind you a lot, depending on where you sit. All in all, we won't be here again.

Very nice service. The location on the banks of the Rhine is also charming. A small place with tables also outside. I recommend it for a break during a walk.

The water level house is beautifully located directly on the Rhine. The glass dome offers a great view of the fortress. The winter cubes are charming. But what makes the stay a highlight is the service from Gesa. She is warm, considerate and attentive to guests. We had the feeling that she enjoyed giving the guests a nice evening. She succeeded very well with us. 5 stars for Gesa. We will be back.

This restaurant was recommended by one of my coworkers as a great destination for good food and a perfect view of the Rhein. The view is lovely as you would expect, however the place smells of burnt cooking oil due to the insufficient ventilation (like most old restaurants in Germany). The seating upstairs is fine (tables for 6-8) however be prepared to sit next to someone else in case the restaurant gets crowded. This was a "warning" before we were sat by our waitress. The presentation of the food is acceptable, but not on the fancy side. We ordered a salmon and a burger. The salmon was fine, while the accompanying vegetables were not prepared well. The potatoes tasted like premade ones from the shop and not like proper gourmet food. The burger was unfortunately not edible. The meat had a foul taste, and after 2 bites, the urge to vomit was very present. The waitress asked if she could replace it with something else, but we declined as the there was no more appetite. We did not eat anything else and paid the full bill (~60€) The upsetting of the stomach continued until the evening. On the plus side, the staff is very friendly. Our experience was not on par with the recommendations. For this price category, one would expect a much better food experience.

Die Location ist mit dieser Aussicht auf die Festung grandios. Wir waren vor Jahren mehrfach da und dieses Mal sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen war leider nicht gut und dafür teilweise auch zu hochpreisig (Suppe z.B. für 12€). Der Service war bemüht, allerdings musste man recht lange auf Getränke warten. Schade ist zudem, dass es ausschließlich die Weine gibt, welche auch offen im Ausschank sind. Bei kalten Außentemperaturen zieht es zudem sehr, so dass wir wenig glücklich und durchgefroren nach Hause gefahren sind.

Good food in a modern atmosphere. Great view.

Wir waren mit 7 Frauen für einen JGA dort essen - der schriftliche und telefonische Kontakt vorab war super freundlich und der Service vor Ort auch! Der Ausblick ist ein Traum und das Essen absolut köstlich! Lediglich die Schoko-Waffel mit "Cookie-Cream" (welche sich als einfach Frischkäse mit etwas Schokosauce entpuppte) können wir alle absolut nicht empfehlen - auch diese Kritik wurde aaber freundlich entgegen genommen. Einziges Minus: es war so kalt, dass wir teils in Jacken gesessen haben, da eine Bluse viel zu "frostig" war. Ansonsten aber nur zu empfehlen!

Sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Glühwein vor dem Lokal schmeckt sehr gut. Essen im Panorama-Restaurant war super! Den Blick auf den Rhein und die Festung muss man gesehen haben! Wir kommen wieder! 😃

Wir haben im "Holzhaus" gesessen mit 6 Personen. Sehr schön . Angenehmer und zuvorkommender, geduldiger Service . Das Essen war sehr gut . Schöne Auswahl ,für jeden was dabei . Mir fehlte nur dein Dessert etwas "leichteres". Apfelkuchen und Waffel klang zwar sehr verlockend, aber mir zu schwer als Nachtisch.

Jederzeit gerne wieder! In diesem geschichtsträchtigen Haus sitzt man oben im Panorama Restaurant mit einer hervorragenden Aussicht. Das Essen ist geschmacklich gut und die Preise sind fair.

Beeindruckendes Restaurant in den Mauern eines ehemaligen Rheinkrans aus dem 17.Jahrhundert direkt am Rhein. Innen klein und fein mit Blick auf Ehrenbreitstein. Gelungene Weihnachtsmarktatmosphäre im Winter rund ums Gebäude.

Locale veramente carino e cibo ottimo. All'esterno ci sono delle casette veramente caratteristiche con dentro un tavolo da 6 persone, con una stufa in modo da poter decidere la temperatura che si preferisce. Tutto ottimo veramente, sono stato tre giorni in giro per la germania e questo è il locale mogliore in cui sono stato.

Sogar bei nur einem kurzen Besuch für zwei Espressi hat das Pegelhaus in Koblenz einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen. Die Freundlichkeit und die außerordentliche Zuwendung des Personals haben unseren Aufenthalt besonders gemacht. Das Personal war äußerst zuvorkommend und aufmerksam, was nicht selbstverständlich ist, besonders wenn man nur auf einen schnellen Kaffee vorbeischaut. Wir wurden mit einem herzlichen Lächeln begrüßt und bedient, als ob wir langjährige Stammgäste wären. Die Espressi waren übrigens hervorragend zubereitet, was die hohe Qualität und Hingabe des Pegelhaus-Teams zur Zubereitung von Getränken unterstreicht. Diese kleine, aber bedeutsame Geste zeigt, dass exzellenter Service und Gastfreundschaft im Pegelhaus Priorität haben. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diese angenehme Erfahrung. Obwohl wir nur kurz da waren, fühlten wir uns wirklich willkommen. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Pegelhaus jedem empfehlen, der nicht nur nach einem guten Getränk, sondern auch nach einer freundlichen Atmosphäre sucht.

Es gibt einen leckeren Winzerglühwein, der allerdings mit 6 € auch nicht grade preiswert ist. Dafür gibt es aber 4 kleine gemütliche Hütten, die Platz für 6-8 Personen bietet. Zwei davon mit Blick auf den Rhein kann man auch reservieren. Außerdem gibt es auch Kleinigkeiten zum essen, die ich allerdings nicht probiert habe.

Toller Ort und super Location. Freuen uns auf den Sommer.

Schöne Lage direkt am Rhein gelegen mit wunderbarem Blick auf die Festung Ehrenbreitstein. Oft ausgebucht. Nachmittags kann man noch einen Platz bekommen. Abends muss man unbedingt reservieren, da nicht sehr viele Plätze vorhanden sind.

Übertriebene Lebensfreude und Freundlichkeit kann den Mitarbeiter:innen keine:r vorwerfen. /Edit: Der Inhaber hat einen Punkt. Dann halt doch 5 Sterne :-)

Es war ein wunderschöner Abend. Tolles Ambiente, richtig leckerer Wein + Essen. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend und kommen gerne wieder.

Heute Abend waren wir zu zweit im Pegelhaus essen. Die Online-Reservierung hat problemlos funktioniert. Am Empfang wurden wir nett begrüßt und durften in der Panorama Kuppel Platz nehmen. Den Rhein sowie die beleuchtete Burg konnte man von hier aus geniessen. Das Essen sowie auch die Getränke waren mehr als zufriedenstellend.
