Nearby restaurant with an atmosphere in the area, I had a large PAULANER Hefe-Weißbier that was very good (€5.70) and also a delicious salad with sausages. They get a little overwhelmed if there are a lot of people but everything is fine.

Really Bayjovari beer tent style without a beer tent. Great indoors and outdoors. Quaint inside. Outside directly at the cathedral. Authentic German, Bavarian tourist food as you imagine and want if you want to have a good, relaxing, solid and reliable snack. Of course the regular customers are tourists. A small oasis in the middle of the hectic waves of tourists and tour groups that overrun Frankfurt every day.

We ate here for the first and last time today. Unfortunately. Because the name and location promise a lot. At first the waiter was very inattentive. We sat forever until someone took our order. We noticed something similar at the neighboring tables. When we placed our order, we were prepared for a longer wait because we had knuckles. When these were served after just 5 minutes, we were a bit suspicious. Hardly possible even with advance cooking and good preparation. Then came the disillusionment: you can argue about taste, but it should be hot. Sauerkraut, sauce, dumplings and fried potatoes were simply cold. The knuckle was so dry that it must have spent a very long time in the oven. The food was absolutely nothing. The waiter was also very inattentive when clearing the table and paying. We had to wait forever to get noticed again. Unfortunately the name doesn't say it all here.

We stayed upstairs in the hotel and it was perfect. It’s in the heart of the Frankfurt but tucked in a quiet corner. Nothing but church in my balcony view- just gorgeous and hotel staff warm and helpful. We loved the restaurant - which had a vegan section - delicious food and the friendliest waiters. Definitely returning!

We ordered the Oktoberfest Platter, which included a variety of items: ½ grilled knuckle of pork, pork schnitzel, herb meatloaf, white sausage, potato dumplings, fried potatoes, beer sauce, and two kinds of mustard sauces. We also had apple strudel, elderflower lemonade and Apfelwein mixed with Fanta. The food was served quickly and was very delicious. Although the staff were quite busy, making it occasionally difficult to get their attention, they remained polite and tried their best to accommodate our requests. I will definitely visit this restaurant again when I return to Cologne.

We really liked it here. Traditional, high-quality, tasty German cuisine. Delicious sausages and schnitzels. Beer is also delicious! I advise you to try raspberry limrgad. Good service, the waiter was very nice, spoke good English. We were sitting on the summer square. It's nice inside and the air conditioner works, so it's comfortable when it's hot in the summer.

I liked everything, except the service. The lady who was supposed to serve us did not even provide us the menu, and didn't get our orders. Food was good, but the lady wearing red flannel shirt ruined our dinner. She is terrible. We asked to pay the meal for more than five times to several servers, and it seemed like that lady was supposed to take it. So, we waited her and asked three times for our bills, but I believe she has the short term amnesia. She kept forgetting about bringing our bills. Hope she better not. I even thought that I would be okay not paying our meal because she kept forgetting our bills. Is it a speical event or something? Hope she has a same experience when she gets the chance to spend the speicial date with her speicial person. Good luck

Nice ambience, large beer garden, good food and nice staff, what more could you want. We've been there three times and I can recommend the knuckle and the mixed plate / grill plate (no idea what the name was ☺️ see pictures). Price performance for these dishes fit.

You can eat German local cuisine. The Grilled pork knuckles recommended by the staff were delicious with tender pork! The staff were cheerful and made the meal enjoyable.

Disastrous service, we didn't experience anything more there in 20 minutes

It is close to Frankfurt Cathedral and the riverside, so it is easily accessible. I visited Germany because I wanted to eat Käsespetzle, but I was disappointed that the Spätzle was a bit sticky. Schnitzel and Gulasch were delicious.

I give one star because although the food is not bad, since I have eaten better in other places in the area, the service of one of the waitresses disappointed us a lot. This was our case: we were choosing what to eat with the mobile translators and she spoke to us in English and German, but surprise was at the end that we asked her for a drink ticket and card and she answered us rudely in Spanish that only He charged what we had consumed, no more, no less. In other words, he knew Spanish and did not help us at any time, a total lack of empathy.

Been there twice for lunch. The place is busy, but service is fast and very friendly. They also speak good english for those who dont feel comfortable speaking german. Beer is premium quality (We tasted all but one). Food is also great. Prices range from 15-20 euro/plate. You wont leave hungry, as portions are generous as you can see in the picture. The ambient inside is the cherry of the cake. You feel insider a 19 century inn but with all comfort of modern technology. All in all, amazing place I look forward to return whenever I happen to be in Frankfurt again. Price is not cheap, but there are very few places who boast all the good things this place does for less money.

We were in Paulaner am Dom last Tuesday. The employees were all nice, service was also good. Thank you for Tabasco sauce😆 We have visited for the third time. Unfortunately there were a lot of Chinese people there and they were very loud. I come from South Korea, i.e. in the Asian area, but I still can't understand them. We will visit again. We did a reservation for lunch. The aesthetic of the place is traditional Germany, which looks good for tourists. We wanted to try the traditional schnitzel with green sauce. It isn't something outstanding but overall it's a nice price since, when ordering a meal dish it comes with an extra individual salad. We couldn't finish it all. The price for everything and a big bottle of water was 50,50€ which I consider appropriate for a tourist restaurant as such. I am vegetarian but sadly their vegetarian options are not so german based which is a bit disappointing since they could just offer the traditional green sauce with potatoes and eggs. The worst part of the experience would be the service. It was nice-okay. We didn't engage with the waiter and at the moment of the payment he complained about the fact we didn't give any tips by saying 'do you know that in Germany tips are not included?'. As a waitress that kind of pissed me off because it shows you that they don't care about providing a good service unless you are willing to tip them. Besides, when I was ordering (as a tourist I don't know german) he was kind of pissed at the fact I was ordering in english and said 'it's not that difficult'. In case he reaches this review: tips are a reward for your service/recommendations/speed/smile and treatment to customers not our job to give because you are not happy with your salary.

Food was quite good but nothing special. Schnitzel was very thin and not a bit brownish, rather light. Schnitzel was good so far.

Unfortunately the food took well over 45 minutes to receive. Several tables were seated, served, and ate while we waited. When asked about the delay a shrug of the shoulders and a “well the system went down for 5 minutes” was the excuse. No apologies, no compensation. Just a tough luck. Food was mediocre at best.

Typical restaurant in the center of Frankfurt. Labeled by many as touristy but it didn't give me this impression. Seats available both inside and outside, fast and friendly service. At first the staff seems nice and they have interesting outfits. Moving on to the drinks and food - raspberry lemonade is water with some cheap juice so you can't call it lemonade! As for the food, Oktoberfestplatte was very good, but the "Brauhaus" Burger was a total disaster. The meat was of poor quality, the bun tasted like it was from a supermarket, and a slice of cheap cheese. The fries didn't impress me with their taste either, and as for the burger's appearance - it looked poor. Moving on to the payment, the waitress persistently mentions a tip, which is unacceptable. There are bees flying around the place and inside.

Fantastic German restaurant! The food is tasty, the beer is fresh, and the staff is welcoming. A wonderful spot to check out if you're in the city.

Very nice, simple, small hotel with a restaurant and everything with a Bavarian flair. Right next to the Frankfurt Cathedral in the old town of Frankfurt. People very friendly, ideal for short trips. Subway, parking garage reachable in 4 minutes. Type of ship, metropolis, shopping area all within walking distance. Great value for money, so for me I can only recommend it.

If you want to see Koreans, you can come here. The mushroom cream schnitzel is delicious. I heard it comes with potatoes, so I thought it would come with fried potatoes, but it was potato rice cakes. If you order a main dish (like haksen or schnitzel), you get a salad. If you order a main menu and a salad, you get 2 plates of salad. Personally, the white sausage was tastier than the sausage sold in Munich. Sometimes b-boying friends perform surprise performances in front of you and collect money, so don't give them money.

The waiter was rude and the card was simply slammed on the table. We had to pack our own food. The knuckle was very dry, but the rest tasted good.

A weekday in July, it was nice outside and we ate under the canopy. Excellent generous portions and quick service.

This is the best Schweinhaxen dish. It's crispy on the outside and moist and savory on the inside. Summer limited event, 1L bottle set. But I wanted to eat in a small, pretty cup because it was heavy, so I asked for a cup, but was refused and said that share cups were not allowed...🥺 My husband can't drink because of an upset stomach... it's a shame. The goulash soup is also delicious. This is a delicious restaurant. I spent my last night looking at Frankfurt Cathedral~~

Highly recommended! On my last night in Germany, I came to this German Bavarian restaurant with a great atmosphere. The service staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! Pork trotters, sausages and fried steak, each has its own specialties. There are also vegetarian options for non-meat eaters and seafood options such as smoked salmon. Overall it was a great experience, a perfect ending to our trip to Germany 🇩🇪

The way they try to coerce you into tipping is unacceptable. Inappropriate in a civilized country, where any worker is supposed to have a decent salary.

I thought I was only getting 19.9 euro schnitzel, but when I asked for water, 2.5 euro water was automatically added (I asked for tap water and they said there wasn't any). It seemed like they automatically added a 10% tip when paying = I ended up paying 24.64 euro. They pay the bills extremely late and the overall service is bad.

This place is located in the heart of Frankfurt. The service is excellent and the staff very kind but I must say that the egg on top of the meat was not very cooked and the famous pork shank, a typical dish of German cuisine, was not of top quality in terms of meat. Furthermore, the venue was overcrowded with tourists and fans gathered for the European football matches. Perhaps on another less "hectic" occasion things would certainly have gone better.

Service is awesome! Standing around with 5 men for a quarter of an hour to seat a few guests. Several requests to take the order were completely ignored and instead stared into the empty space. Families unfriendly He probably makes most of his money from tourists. Definitely not recommended!

I googled best schnitzel in Frankfurt and this place popped up! It did NOT disappoint! Everything from the outside tables to the wait staff to the food it was immaculate! It was so good I ended up going there twice and would absolutely recommend anyone in the Frankfurt area try it!!!

Service was really something I would like to comment for reviews as a special case in my life. The bill was more than I was expecting. I asked details and the response was " I added 10% tips on my own - it is OK ?" This kind of situation is absolutely in Germany abnormal. My recommendation is " check the bill and pay". Hope that this supports you.

It's strange as a guest in Frankfurt to want to go out for a "Bavarian" meal, but the dishes, service and ambience take you from the Hessian metropolis to Bavarian food. The quaint, rustic ambience is reminiscent of a traditional Bavarian inn. The service staff doesn't have a dialect and doesn't really understand it, but they are also dressed like they are in Bavaria. Not traditional costume, but a variation, as you sometimes see in the larger cities of the Free State. The staff is friendly and interested. In addition, everyone speaks very good English. The menu is lush and inviting. Even if I don't understand some of the compositions. Weisswurst and schnitzel on the Oktoberfest platter (more obvious would be 1/2 chicken or 1/4 duck)? There are no grilled sausages in Bavaria. I was also missing a nice snack plate. Probably tailored to the audience. I had difficulty deciding. However, I didn't regret my choice one bit. It was really very good, healthy portion and not expensive at all. It also came relatively quickly, about 5 minutes until the drink, another 10 minutes until the starter salad and just under 10 minutes for the main course. Despite the separate room, the service staff checked regularly. A nice visit, delicious food and good service! Full points! Gladly again!

When we visited on July 8, 2024, one of the waiters was totally giving off a cold vibe towards Asians. He'd bring the dishes without bothering to say the full name. When we asked whose order it was, he snapped, 'I don't know!' and then just walked off, leaving us all dumbfounded. Couldn't tell if he was just scared to speak English or being racist But the other waiters were alright. My advice is maybe rack up some good karma before you come here and pray you don't get served with that guy, or you might seriously consider walking out. On the bright side, those dishes aren't too salty, not too pricey.

The staff's attitude was very bad. Is it because I'm Asian? By the time I finished eating and came to the checkout, It had been about 30 minutes since I passed by on purpose. I didn't want to tip, but it was almost mandatory. It's a shame as the reviews were good. This was my first meal after coming to Germany. The food was delicious, but I wish I had eaten at a different restaurant.

The ambience and the location at the cathedral are very good. A great place when the weather is good. The food (schnitzel & fried potatoes) was average for the price. The schnitzel is warm and the potatoes are lukewarm. A bit of a shame. The service was quite good. All in all it was good.

Beer Paulaner, great food, atmosphere and service. It was our last meal in Frankfurt and it was totally worth it. At the restaurant it is also possible to buy beer mugs and Paulaner utensils.

Everything was good, but not great

I ordered 1 liter of Haksen and beer + 1 liter of Dunkel. First of all, the taste of Haksen seems to have been made more than a day ago, so it cannot be compared to the taste I had in Munich👎. Beer 👍...the price is not cheap😱. Business-like response. It's not that it's unfriendly, but it's not friendly either. So. So. Just so so.

I've tried various things such as Schweinhakse and schnitzel, and they are all okay. If you stay at a hotel here, don't bother ordering the munchner weissburst (white sausage). It's the same for breakfast, even the sauce.

A very rich menu, as befits a reputable beer hall, fast, friendly service, large portions. It's worth it!
