A variety of Paulaner beers are available, and there's outdoor seating in the Biergarten. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists.

This hotel was a lovely place to stay. The restaurant staff were so pleasant, polite, respectful and courteous that I felt I must leave a postive review. I would recommend this lovely establishment to any seeking a quaint venue.

Well, Paulaner is a beer institution in Germany, and like all beers of a certain caliber, they have restaurants. The Frankfurt one may not look huge from the photos, but it actually has quite a lot of space... You walk in and the furniture makes you feel warm, the themed wait staff makes you feel like you're in Bavaria and helps you feel even more in the spirit. The food is good with many typical options, the prices are in line with the city's offerings, and the service is excellent and very friendly. Even if you don't speak German, they make themselves understood and understand you well, even offering explanations. Highly recommended.

This is a Polana brand restaurant. The Haxen is amazing. Highly recommended! German food is often salty and bland, but I only ordered dishes that have proven successful among Koreans. If you're visiting, please keep this in mind. Reservations are limited to two hours, so please be sure to stick to your meal time.

First of all, it's a really popular place. It's especially crowded on weeknights, perhaps because there aren't many places open late. The food is decent, and the beer is delicious.

We arrived in Frankfurt yesterday, Saturday, December 27th, and I wanted to try a local restaurant. When we arrived around 8 pm, it was very crowded, so we asked the waitress if they had a table for two. She told me to wait. After a few minutes, another waiter arrived who had been working in a different area of ​​the restaurant where we saw more tables becoming available. We asked him if he could give us a table for two, and he kindly agreed. To my surprise, I heard the first waitress rudely reprimand us in front of all the other customers, saying that we had already asked her for a table three times. I was stunned, and my first impulse was to leave, but it was very cold, and we didn't know if we would find a table at another restaurant, so I agreed to stay. It was a very uncomfortable situation because I found the way she treated us humiliating. I just hope no one else has to go through something similar.

Yesterday we went to Paulaner again, and what can I say? The food isn't as good as it used to be! Unfortunately, it's just mass production now! We ordered pork knuckle and would have gladly waited the 30 minutes stated on the menu. Unfortunately, it only took 10 minutes for the food to arrive ☹️ The restaurant was packed with at least 120 people. That made us realize everything had been pre-prepared! We forgot to take pictures, unfortunately!

They'll openly ask for tips, and if you refuse, you'll sigh and be lectured about how to make people happy. Only those who are willing to tip or can tolerate being sighed at and criticized in front of you should visit. As for the taste, I'm not familiar with German food, so it's hard to judge. I just eat it thinking it's what it tastes like.

We went for lunch on December 25th without a reservation, but we got a table without difficulty. The restaurant is spacious and we were seated at a good table, with room for a stroller. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered a pork knuckle and a steak with potatoes for two adults and a child. Although the portions were generous, the food wasn't the tastiest... The steak could have been a little more seasoned and the pork knuckle could have been more tender and juicy. The highlight was the Paulaner Pilsen draft beer – which is, after all, the house specialty – and, of course, the fact that the restaurant is one of the few establishments open on Christmas in Frankfurt.

Booked here for a meal (booking recommended as it was fully booked the previous night). Fabulous choice of classic German food and beer that was enjoyed by all. We had the 5-7:45 eve slot and all the spots were filed by 5:30. It's part of the hotel so popular Staff are nice and accomodating for us weak German speakers.

Pork knuckle!! Pork knuckle with a soggy crust - disappointing. I've had worse, but also much better. Half a duck was really dry. The beer was good. The service was friendly. But even so, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant or come back for a meal. Drinks were okay, though.

We stumbled upon this place by chance, thinking it was some kind of brauhaus. The interior was cozy, but packed and very noisy, with poor acoustics. Shortly after, a woman in a red and white checkered outfit came to take our order. It arrived quite quickly and was a good price. When we wanted to pay, the woman started demanding a tip, which we felt was completely inappropriate. We tip when we want to, not when they beg for it. We've never experienced this before in Germany. My advice to the restaurant is to stop doing this; it's unacceptable. Next year, we'll be returning to the Christmas markets with a larger group, and we'll definitely avoid your restaurant. It's a real shame, a missed opportunity.

Gave one star because we weren't able to be seated and we have no idea why. 3 of us, plenty of empty tables visible. Walked in around 19:00, hostess takes a bit to look at her seating chart. Looks around the restaurant then announces "Sorry, no." "We have reservations coming in at 8." No seating available for 3. When we asked how long the wait would be if we wanted to wait, she said "no." We walk out, getting ready to bundle up and leave. Another trio shows up, walks in, then they walk out. We thought the same thing happened to them but they said that they were waiting for them to set a table for them. They did not have a reservation. We have no idea what the deal is but we do not want to eat where we are not welcome.

It seems that German law is not being followed in this establishment. I ordered a beer, but it had too much foam and was not poured to the required line. Also, as soon as a tourist entered the establishment, he asked a male staff member, "Where is the restroom?", but the staff member must have thought that the tourist had only come to use the restroom. He lied and said that there was no restroom. The other staff members did not seem very friendly either, so I don't think I'll be visiting again.

Super crowded restaurant, reservations are essential not to miss out on dining here. Seating is pretty tight in the restaurant, tables are fairly close to each other. Suppose this is essential due to the popularity of the restaurant. Food was fantastic. On the menu, it is written that the pork knuckles will take 30 minutes to cook. However, it arrived within 10 minutes which was a pleasant surprise. The gravy was very delicious but the pork knuckles itself could do with more crispiness. It was otherwise very tasty. Currywurst was decent, sauce seems homemade with chopped tomatoes. We opted for an extra sausage for this dish. Apple strudel was served warm with walnut ice cream and vanilla sauce. Vanilla sauce wasn’t sweet. Walnut ice cream was interesting. Overall taste was balanced and enjoyable. Based on the food, can’t understand why the restaurant only has 4.2 stars. Restaurant feels a little understaffed, the staff did their best.

We loved this restaurant from the moment we walked in. We tried a fresh and delicious coleslaw, perfectly crisp and beautifully dressed. Then we savored the oven-roasted pork knuckle, accompanied by a smooth dark beer sauce and roasted potato. The dish was truly spectacular: the meat was tender and juicy inside and slightly crispy on the outside, bursting with flavor. To finish, we enjoyed two scoops of ice cream, creamy and the perfect sweet ending to our meal. The service was wonderful, attentive and friendly throughout. A highly recommended place.

Great traditional German food especially the crispy pork knuckle goes with 1L of Paulaner Bier. The crispy duck is another sensational dish with excellent taste. It is located next to St Paul Cathedral in Frankfurt. Come and try it.

We visited this traditional German restaurant twice over the weekend and absolutely loved it! The vibe is very cosy and felt like home. The food is authentic and incredibly hearty – portions are huge , so delicious , you definitely get your money’s worth. The service is superb and really fast, even when it’s busy. Expect to pay around €25 per person including drinks. Highly recommend especially trying their sauerkraut !!🫶🏽

A good selection of food if you like hearty German cuisine—a little piece of Bavaria in Hesse, so to speak. The food is good, though some dishes could be improved. The staff generally do a good and reliable job. Prices are reasonable. The decor is well done, but it's a bit noisy—it is a brewery, after all.

Visited Paulaner am Dom in Frankfurt on my first-ever trip to Germany, and I’m so glad I came across this place! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was genuinely lovely from start to finish. Me and my partner ordered the Oktoberfest platter - a lot for 2 people sharing, and it was sooo good — generous portions, delicious flavours, and the perfect introduction to classic German food. The beer was fantastic as well, exactly what you hope for when visiting Germany for the first time. Highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting great food, great beer, and a truly enjoyable experience in Frankfurt!

Since we hadn't made a reservation, we were given a table around 5:45 pm right near the entrance... with a corresponding draft and limited seating. I ordered pork knuckle with beer sauce, dumplings, and coleslaw. Since I had been really looking forward to a good pork knuckle, I was all the more disappointed. The beer sauce was actually caraway sauce, the pork knuckle didn't have crispy crackling, and one of the two dumplings was undercooked. However, the staff was friendly and efficient at all times. When I voiced my complaints, the waiter listened attentively, apologized, and left. ...What a shame!

I wonder if this one is lowering the quality of service. If the manager sees this review and wants to attract more Korean tourists, I think it would be a good idea to make some improvements.

I went to this restaurant with my mom. We ordered beer, schnitzel, and pizza. Even though we both have small appetites, the pizza was so delicious that we ended up overeating :) The beer was the best I've had in Germany, and the staff was incredibly helpful. There were a few tourists, but the space was so spacious that it was fine! I'd definitely go back just for the beer and pizza!

I was looking for a place with atmosphere during Oktoberfest, and this is it! The staff is dressed in suits, the food is delicious, the beer is fantastic, even the non-alcoholic ones, and the interior is absolutely stunning. I definitely recommend it. While the prices are higher than elsewhere, it's right in the center.

This German restaurant has a Munich feel. I recommend the Oktoberfest plate. You can enjoy a little bit of everything. The atmosphere is great, and in the summer, you can enjoy a beer outside while looking at the church. We made a reservation because we went on a Sunday, but it filled up quickly, so I recommend making a reservation.

A solid inn with a high proportion of tourists, which can make it quite noisy, especially in the evenings. On the plus side, however, are the good food (we had knuckle of pork with cabbage and the Viktualienmarkt salad with lentil tartare), the delicious beer, and the very friendly service. In the evenings, however, it can sometimes take a while for someone to come to your table.
