Great traditional German food especially the crispy pork knuckle goes with 1L of Paulaner Bier. The crispy duck is another sensational dish with excellent taste. It is located next to St Paul Cathedral in Frankfurt. Come and try it.

A good selection of food if you like hearty German cuisine—a little piece of Bavaria in Hesse, so to speak. The food is good, though some dishes could be improved. The staff generally do a good and reliable job. Prices are reasonable. The decor is well done, but it's a bit noisy—it is a brewery, after all.

We visited this traditional German restaurant twice over the weekend and absolutely loved it! The vibe is very cosy and felt like home. The food is authentic and incredibly hearty – portions are huge , so delicious , you definitely get your money’s worth. The service is superb and really fast, even when it’s busy. Expect to pay around €25 per person including drinks. Highly recommend especially trying their sauerkraut !!🫶🏽

Me and my partner ordered the Oktoberfest platter - a lot for 2 people sharing, and it was sooo good — generous portions, delicious flavours, and the perfect introduction to classic German food. The beer was fantastic as well, exactly what you hope for when visiting Germany for the first time. Highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting great food, great beer, and a truly enjoyable experience in Frankfurt!

Since we hadn't made a reservation, we were given a table around 5:45 pm right near the entrance... with a corresponding draft and limited seating. I ordered pork knuckle with beer sauce, dumplings, and coleslaw. Since I had been really looking forward to a good pork knuckle, I was all the more disappointed. The beer sauce was actually caraway sauce, the pork knuckle didn't have crispy crackling, and one of the two dumplings was undercooked. However, the staff was friendly and efficient at all times. When I voiced my complaints, the waiter listened attentively, apologized, and left. ...What a shame!

I've read reviews saying some are friendly, others are rude, so I'll single out one server. He's a chubby guy with a beard and mustache and short hair. The other server was friendly. I wonder if this one is lowering the quality of service. If the manager sees this review and wants to attract more Korean tourists, I think it would be a good idea to make some improvements.

I went to this restaurant with my mom. We ordered beer, schnitzel, and pizza. Even though we both have small appetites, the pizza was so delicious that we ended up overeating :) The beer was the best I've had in Germany, and the staff was incredibly helpful. There were a few tourists, but the space was so spacious that it was fine! I'd definitely go back just for the beer and pizza!

I usually like Paolaner beer, so I thought I had to go there when I came to Germany. The sausage was delicious, and the beer had a really good flavor.

It was a place with a lively and cheerful atmosphere. I visited on a weekday evening, and it was crowded. The interior was comfortable, and the staff were friendly.

The staff is dressed in suits, the food is delicious, the beer is fantastic, even the non-alcoholic ones, and the interior is absolutely stunning. I definitely recommend it. While the prices are higher than elsewhere, it's right in the center.

An excellent option for sipping one of the best German beers and eating typical dishes from the region.

A solid inn with a high proportion of tourists, which can make it quite noisy, especially in the evenings. On the plus side, however, are the good food (we had knuckle of pork with cabbage and the Viktualienmarkt salad with lentil tartare), the delicious beer, and the very friendly service. In the evenings, however, it can sometimes take a while for someone to come to your table.

We discovered this restaurant spontaneously and were absolutely thrilled! We were immediately and courteously shown to a table of our choice. The waiter immediately took our order, which was served within 10 minutes. We ordered Kariwurst and an Oktoberfest platter. All the waiters were very friendly, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very authentic. I will definitely be back.

One of the most popular and well-known beer brands, it has reproductions of its original Biergarten in several locations across Germany. This restaurant is rather small, and while it doesn't quite have the typical German folklore atmosphere they usually have, it delivers. The food is good and traditional. The beer, drafted properly, is delicious, and comes in all the brand's varieties. The service is good, friendly, and efficient.

It rained the entire trip. While exploring Römerberg and the cathedral in the evening, it suddenly started raining again, so I quickly went inside to get out of the way. It was Saturday, around 6 p.m. Since there was only one person, they asked if I could only spend an hour. If I said okay, they showed me to a seat. The staff were all friendly. They made eye contact and smiled. I ordered a 500ml Paulaner and a Sausage Symphony, and they gave me a thumbs up for making a good choice. 👍 Oh my gosh,,,, Paulaner draft beer was this delicious! It was the best beer I've had in Pfaff! It's not called export beer for nothing,,,, but since it's draft beer in Germany, it must be even fresher and more delicious. You should definitely try the draft here!! The sausage was delicious, and the sauerkraut with the potatoes kept me going. However, it was a lot to eat alone... After two beers, I couldn't finish the food, so I left some, but it was still delicious. ❤️ While I was eating, there was a table of 7-8 Japanese people, a table of two Koreans, two other tables of non-German foreigners, and the rest seemed to be locals. Well, the bottom line is that it's in a central location, so there were a lot of tourists and locals. Later, I found out it was a famous place with lots of reviews on Google... haha

A welcoming, Bavarian-style venue, well-maintained and of average quality. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a typical Bavarian beer hall, though the flavors are a little more local than the original. The Paulaner beers are excellent and well-tasted, perfect with the traditional dishes on the menu. The Käsespätzle, on the other hand, deserve a rethink; they're good but not yet at the level of authentic Bavarian cuisine: a little more creaminess and cheese would make them truly perfect. Overall, a pleasant place to spend a relaxed evening with good beer and modern German cuisine. 🍺🇩🇪

Great place for traditional German food!!

After visiting Oktoberfest, I was curious about the taste of the Paulaner beer sold there, and was surprised to see a wait until 8 p.m. It seemed like there were a lot of locals and tourists as well. The restaurant is quite large, so I think the turnover rate will be good. The food was delicious and not salty for a German restaurant. The atmosphere was bustling, making it a great place to enjoy a quick bite while soaking up the local atmosphere.

On my way to visit, I stumbled upon Google Maps reviews, which occasionally included unpleasant comments and even recommendations for a nearby "R" restaurant. My legs were sore, so I went in, but I deeply regretted that decision. Once inside, I was directed to a deserted corner. The main area was only about half full, and for some reason, I asked to be moved to the main area. It took about 30 minutes to order. I made eye contact with the server several times, but was ignored. Thinking they were busy, I tried to chat with my group, and even tried to put the menu down. After about 20 minutes of being ignored, worried that I'd made a mistake, the server, a tall, skinhead man, announced he'd be there to take our order in "two minutes." I couldn't tell if it was within two minutes or two minutes, but I heard exactly two minutes. However, after waiting for another ten minutes, and after the skinhead employee made another comment, a middle-aged woman in Oktoberfest attire came to take our order. The food was generally acceptable, and the beer was decent, but when we tried to pay, the same thing happened again. This time, we covered our plates with napkins and even kept our hands off the table, but they waited 30 minutes before asking if we wanted to pay. Of course, they didn't come right away. They were busy with something else for at least five minutes before finally arriving. I'd read a review saying they force tips, so I held off. Then, a screen appeared on the card reader, prompting me to enter a tip amount. I refused, clearly stating, "No." Then, they pushed the card reader closer, saying, "You can't enter a zero tip," and insisting we tip. Making us wait, being racist, and all that stuff isn't my concern. Why are they forcing us to tip??????? Don't talk about tipping culture in other countries... Please tell me where you received service worthy of a tip. They tossed down your beer coaster. No matter how much you tried to wait, it never came. They said they would come, but they made you wait for a long time. Where was the service worthy of a tip? Or do you think the staff's service itself deserved a tip in the first place??? My group decided to give a reasonable tip, so we paid a 5% tip. But I seriously doubt Germany is a country where customers, even if they don't want a tip, blame the machines and force them to do so. What a farce in a country of engineering. Let's leave the private message at that. 1. This restaurant is a master at making people wait. 2. The first point is true, so please refrain from making "we didn't do that" comments in the review section. 3. If you're determined to go, - Decide what you want to order before entering the restaurant. - Order as soon as you're seated. At the very least, you'll save time at the ordering stage. For reference, there were two of us, including myself. We arrived at around 4:45 PM, ordered haksen, gnocchi, and a beer, and paid around 6:25 PM. If you're on a tight schedule, I recommend choosing a different restaurant.

We chose this restaurant because the Oktoberfest platter appealed to us. We should have made a reservation in advance, but we still got a seat because the reservation cards stated a supposedly later time. Unfortunately, the time was so illegible that the actual people arrived shortly afterward and, of course, weren't thrilled about having to wait. The hustle and bustle wasn't exactly pleasant while eating. The staff didn't seem particularly friendly to one another and kept shouting at each other, which was probably due to the sheer number of people, but never allowed to get through to the customers. The food was good, but unfortunately, the same couldn't be said about the ambiance. It was difficult to understand the person speaking to you, and the hectic running around of the wait staff only added to the problem. It's a real shame. Instead of trying to accommodate every guest at all costs, sometimes it's better to say, "Sorry, we're full."

I'll start by saying that I ate outside and I'm not sure about the inside seating, but I think it's best to book on their website. Everything was very good, though, and the prices were reasonable for the area. I had a currywurst, which comes with a salad and fries. If you want to feel like you're at Oktoberfest, I recommend it. Paulaner beer, of course, and you can never go wrong.

I have eaten here several times and the food is always good. However, this was the first time eating inside. A rat ran across the back of our table and another one ran across the floor. When I told the server of the issue, she said we are aware of the problem, and management hasn't done anything about it. Completely unacceptable. How can you be aware of rats in your restaurant and not attempt to address the issue.
