The German restaurant pleasantly surprised from the very beginning - a great atmosphere. The staff here is especially pleasing: friendly, polite and always ready to help with your choice. The atmosphere is conducive to leisurely rest and enjoyment of the dishes. I would like to separately note the generous portions - you will definitely not leave hungry! I definitely recommend visiting them.

Bowling alley great, service great, food delicious! All around good and down to earth. Unfortunately, Äppler prices are too expensive throughout Frankfurt.

Ständig wechselndes personal spricht Bände. Inhaber für Kritik an mangelhafter servierten Speisen zu Wucherpreisen ausgesprochen unverschämt. Beim letzten Essen hatte ich sogar eine verdorbene Kartoffel auf dem Teller. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis lässt wirklich zu wünschen übrig. Vielleicht sollte der Koch mal eine Ausbildung machen. Dann weiß er auch wie man Käsespätzle kocht. Nicht mit Sahne und schon gar nicht mit Trockenzwiebeln? Bin gerne bereit für ordentliche Gerichte die schmecken und vernünftig zubereitet einen Preis zu bezahlen. Für so etwas wie ver FG Lebenserfahrung Essen und mangelhafte Ausführung , was ich als wirklich grenwertig empfinde, nicht!

I try to start with the positive. We were there in mid-April with a group of 7 adults and 3 children. The beautiful outdoor area with the children's play corner is positive. The service was also good and okay. But the food, which was unfortunately at zero (Google) star level for all of our different meals. Worst ready food, no taste, not well prepared. Just a very big disappointment. Conclusion: OK for one or ten Äppler when the weather is nice, but eating on site is not possible at all :-(

Es war einmal….gut!! Am 12.04.25 gegen Abend mit Freunden zum Essen getroffen. Auf die Speisekarte geschaut und fast vom Stuhl gefallen ob des Preisniveaus. Insbesondere die Getränkepreise reichlich unverschämt. Zum Beispiel 1 l Leitungswasser für 6,90 €.Bestellt haben wir 2x Käsespätzle weil wir diese in guter Erinnerung hatten. Als Käsespätzle! Und jeweils ein alkoholfreies Hefeweizen für 5,60 € ! die Flasche. Bekommen haben wir mehr oder weniger einen mit Käse überbackenen Nudelauflauf mit einer nach nichts schmeckenden „was-auch-immer-Sauce“. Man hat genau gesehen, dass das komplett Convinence war. Das Gericht wahr ursprünglich rechteckig und wurde dann auf einem länglichen Teller auseinandergezogen und die Sauce daneben drapiert und getrocknete Zwiebeln darüber gestreut. Ein schlechter Witz! Und das für 14,90 € pro Portion. Hieraus lässt sich ganz klar die generelle Vorgehensweise in dieser Gastronomie was die Speisen anbelangt, erkennen. Das ist die absolute Abzocke!! Der Krug geht so lange zum Brunnen, bis er bricht. Dann gibt es derartig schlechte und unverschämte Gastronomien hoffentlich bald nicht mehr! Wer sich hier allerdings abzocken lässt, ist selber schuld!

Today we were at the Homburger Hof for the first and last time. We were actually looking forward to a nice visit to the restaurant, but somehow the whole thing seemed doomed to failure when I called in advance to ask if there were still places available. Even on the phone I had the feeling that the person was slightly annoyed. The food itself was really tasty, and the service from the waitress was great - she was incredibly friendly and helpful. But things went downhill from dessert onwards. The homemade chocolate pudding (€7.50) didn't look very appealing, but what mattered was the taste - and that was disappointing. Instead of tasting like chocolate, it tasted burnt and strongly like coffee. Even the cheapest pudding from any supermarket would have tasted much better. When we mentioned this, the waitress took our concerns seriously, but the boss reacted completely uncomprehendingly. Instead of showing insight or understanding, he started arguing with us that the pudding is just what it is. Especially if you spend almost €70 on a meal for two, you probably don't complain about €7.50 for no reason. Although he understood our feedback after tasting it himself, he insisted on charging the full price for the inedible dessert. Conclusion: Good food and great service from the waitress, but the way we deal with criticism leaves a bad aftertaste. We definitely won't be coming back.

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. The owner of the restaurant was extremely aggressive when you politely asked a question or expressed criticism. Instead of being insightful, he insisted that his supposedly 'homemade' "chocolate pudding" wasn't burnt - even though it neither tasted like chocolate nor was it edible. Despite our legitimate complaint, we had to pay it. Kudos to the friendly service staff, but the owner's behavior definitely caused the restaurant to lose customers. I won't recommend it.

Actually, it was always very nice here. Bowling evenings, apple evenings, summer evenings… Why did I always have the feeling of being completely ripped off during the last three visits? The non-sparkling sparkling water costs €6, the price for hand cheese is cheeky. Yes… everything has become more expensive. Still, I feel left out here

Service, food and drinks (own apple juice and apple wine) were good and also Hessian. Unfortunately it was cold. Although blankets were distributed, it was still a bit uncomfortable.

In retrospect, we were unfortunately quite disappointed after our visit yesterday as we had been ripped off in two respects. When it came to the salad plate with 3 blobs of green sauce and two eggs (€18.90!), the baguette was simply forgotten and the small water we ordered was billed as medium. Given the expensive prices in general, we would have at least expected the minimum. Nevertheless, the food itself was very tasty, but not worth the price and service.

Ich komme seit eineinhalb Jahr einmal im Monat mit einer Kegelgruppe zum essen und kegeln. Bis vor einem halben Jahr war ich auch recht zufrieden. Allerdings hat es vor ca 6 Monaten angefangen, dass die Preise stiegen und die Qualität des Essens schlechter war als gewohnt. Verbranntes Essen, lächerliche Portionen, verdorbenes Essen, geschmackloses Essen, Essen das anders gebracht wurde als in der Karte ausgewiesen, Handkäse der nicht reif ist serviert und heute bekam ich Kartoffelpüree mit ganzen Kartoffeln untergehoben. Auf meine Frage ob das so gewollt ist, wurde mir gesagt ich solle mein Essen eben zerdrücken. Angeblich wäre ich die einzige die sich beschwert, und wenn sein Team meinen Namen hören würde hätten schon alle Angst. Es würde halt mal Fehler passieren. Ich finde für Gerichte die sich überwiegend zwischen 20-30 Euro bewegen kann ich erwarten, dass meine Bestellung so kommt wie es auch in der Karte steht. Zum krönenden Abschluss, darf ich mir als Stammkundin anhören, dass ich ja gehen könne wenn mir das alles nicht passt. Meine Gruppe lässt jedes Mal insgesamt über 200 Euro da. Finde ich schon ziemlich unverschämt!

An all-round successful evening at the Homburger Hof! We were guests at the Homburger Hof with our colleagues as part of our Christmas party and we were all very enthusiastic. The pre-ordered dishes were all served without any problems. Even spontaneous repeat orders were no problem for the friendly staff and kitchen - despite the full house. We had a small box right next to the bowling alley. The barrier-free access from the premises to the bowling alley ensured a great experience in a private atmosphere. The instruction on how to use the bowling alley was carried out flawlessly. The food was delicious and enjoyed by everyone present. We will fondly remember the evening at the Homburger Hof and I will also be happy to come here again in my private life. Highly recommended!

The food was good but also very expensive (personal opinion). For context: we were there as a department and there were also other larger groups who took turns eating and bowling. The service was good but a bit confusing. The place is no longer very current and I wouldn't recommend it.

The food was excellent, the service was very attentive, it's a quaint cider bar with charm, maybe everything is a bit too expensive, but we'd love to be back in Frankfurt.

We no longer need that from our goose dinner. We sat in a side room. Unfortunately at a table in a beer tent set - i.e. a narrow table. The room is quite dark. The service was nice and attentive. The goose is not recommended for the price. Apparently a goose is divided into 4 portions. But it was probably divided by 5. Small portion with lukewarm red cabbage without chestnuts without baked apples or anything like that. €34.90 There is a better way. A small lamb's lettuce that still contains cucumber tomato and carrots €9.90 Cappuccino €4.60 Neither the price nor anything else is right. And last but not least, you have to wait a long time before you can pay.

Another chance for the Homburger Hof: After we were disappointed in December 23 with the food as well as the uncomfortable seating in the upper area and a plate that can no longer be found in youth hostels. Our visit today showed that the food wasn't bad, but was clearly overpriced (see bill). The schnitzel in particular was thoughtlessly served on a salad, which fell apart within a few minutes and became almost inedible (see photo 2). The plate was also so small that the food could hardly be moved. It is unfortunate that the choice of restaurants in Eckenheim is limited. Overall, our visit to the Homburger Hof was very disappointing. The quality of the food was not commensurate with the very high prices and the presentation left more than to be desired.

A cozy, stylish Ebbelwoilo restaurant in the middle of Eckenheim. Anyone who appreciates a good Ebbelwoi and really good Grie Soß in a pleasant atmosphere is in the right place here. The only thing that is rather atypical for Frankfurt: the friendly service. 😉

Good home-style regional cuisine, nice staff

Hidden gem among the traditional Frankfurt Ebbelwoi restaurants. We came there for Bowling (Kegeln) with kids, but they also have a nice outside area, wide variety of food including vegetarian options (not usual for other traditional restaurants) plus of course the Ebbelwoi (local cider). Difficult to find a parking spot so recommend to come by bike or public transport

I was here for the first time today. Thanks to the nice weather we were able to sit in the cozy courtyard. I had the schnitzel sandwich and was totally thrilled. Schnitzel super fresh and crispy, green sauce 1a, and underneath a delicious slice of wood-fired bread. The right amount for me. I would love to come back. Very nice service.

Frankfurt apple wine restaurant - my children always want to eat the delicious Cordon Bleu - my favorite: the Hessen Schnitzel Deluxe - nice to sit in the courtyard in summer.

Long-established classic regional Frankfurt Bembelwirtschaft with really good cuisine and very generous portions. Both the food and, for example, cider and apple juice from our own production. Highly recommended and worth repeating.

I've eaten worse. The food is good in terms of taste and quality. However, the quality and taste of the food as well as the portion sizes are too low in relation to the price. The service is polite and the atmosphere is rustic.

Boring location with hugely inflated prices for extremely mediocre food. The staff are friendly. Unfortunately, this does not raise the overall rating. Rather dry schnitzel for €20+ and a surprisingly boring menu. The halfway interesting starters, not top cuisine, are not good value for money at over €20. It's a shame that gastronomy in general will perish in this way.

Schon mehrmals hier gewesen, niemals enttäuscht, Essen lecker, Service prima. Auch schwäbische Freunde waren begeistert!

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe zum Kegeln und Abendessen dort. Mit der U5 ist man vom Hauptbahnhof in 15 Minuten da. Dann 5 Minuten laufen, es lohnt sich. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und bekamen schnell unsere Getränke. Es gibt eine ausreichende Auswahl an Gerichten und eine große Auswahl an unterschiedlichem Äppler. Der selbst Gekälterte war klasse. Endlich gab es Schnitzel die auch so zubereitet wurden wie man es macht. Nicht schnell frittiert, die Panade wellte sich genau wie die soll. Weiches Fleisch. Spitze. Grüne Sauce dazu. Perfekt. Nur die Kartoffeln fielen spürbar im Vergleich ab. Das Kegeln dazu hat richtig viel Spaß gemacht. Eine Kegelbahn wie man sie kennt, aber nicht so alt und muffig. Wir bekommen bestimmt wieder.

Wir waren mit einer größeren dort. Der Service war sehr gut, gut organisiert und sehr freundlich. Das Essen war ebenfalls sehr gut. Uriges Ambiente. In jedem Fall weiterzuempfehlen.

Die Bedienung war super freundlich. Kiara hat und sehr gut bedient und uns alles rund ums Spiel erklärt. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker es gab eine große Auswahl.

Durch Zufall über google hier gelandet und sehr begeistert! Tolle Küche, alles unglaublich lecker und frisch, Wahnsinnssschnitzel, liebevoll angerichteter Salat, reele Portionen und äußerst gastfreundlich - was will man mehr. Einzig das Parken etwas schwierig wenn man sich nicht auskennt. Aber es lohnt sich, längere Wege in Kauf zu nehmen. Leider haben wir nicht mehr geschafft, den Nachtisch zu probieren. Wir kommen aber wieder und holen das nach. :) Vielen Dank!

Hatte dieses Jahr eine Gans to go mit Beilagen. Das war eine sehr gute Wahl. Die Gans war knusprig und das Fleisch butterzart- bekommt man zuhause so niemals hin! Beilagen ebenfalls 1a und üppig...das Ganze unkompliziert per Telefon arrangiert.. Gerne wieder!

Essen: Mittelmäßige, gutbürgerliche Küche. Schnitzel und Ragout gut, Klöße zu fest, Gemüselasagne "totgegart". Sehr leckerer Apfelwein und -saft. Service: Nett, aufmerksam, wenn es zu Unstimmigkeiten kommt jedoch auch schnell genervt und gestresst. Ambiente: Altes Fachwerk, schöne Kulisse im Innenhof, rustikal und gemütlich! Highlight ist die Kegelbahn im 50er Jahre Stil! Hier ist die Zeit stehengeblieben!

Es ist ein altes, bürgerliches Lokal mit 3 Kegelbahnen. Der Innenhof und die Kegelbahnen sind sehr weihnachtlich und hübsch geschmückt. Die Ausstattung innen im Lokal ist zwar schon älter und altdeutsch eingerichtet, aber die Chemie und die Gemütlichkeit haben hier die Oberhand. Das Essen hat auch nicht lange gedauert, schmeckt und die Bedienungen (bei all diesem Weihnachtsstress) waren sehr freundlich. Wir waren 9 Personen mit Essen und Kegeln.

Das Essen kam fast 90 Minuten zu spät, vom Service kam nur ein lapidares „ihre Reservierung begann um 20:30 Uhr, somit sind wir nur 45 Minuten zu spät“. Stimmte aber nicht, wir hatten schwarz auf weiß Essen ab 20:00 Uhr bestellt, serviert wurde dann um 21:15 Uhr. Das ist nicht nur falsch sondern auch frech. Eine Person musste auf den Hauptgang verzichten, um noch den Zug zu erreichen. Als Entschädigung gabs gar nichts. Nicht nochmal.

Gut geführtes Restaurant mit traditionellen Frankfurter Gerichten . Geeignet für Firmenevents mit anschlossener Kegelbahn ( 4 Bahnen). Reservierung erforderlich ist gut gebucht. Aktuell ist der Hof und Kegelbahn sehr schön saisonal dekoriert . Man merkt die Liebe zum Detail. Preis /Leistung der Speisen und Getränke ist akzeptabel.Der Service ist perfekt, freundlich und zeitnah trotz vollem Lokal. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen wieder.

Das Essen war sehr gut, der Apfelwein auch. Es war aber wenig los für einen Samstagabend und ich fand den Gastraum auch nicht übermäßig gemütlich. Aber das ist natürlich Geschmacksache. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen.

Alles da, was man zum Kegeln in der Gruppe braucht: eine gebuchte Bahn, Platz zum Essen und Trinken, einen aufmerksamen Kellner.

Meine Freunde und ich hatten einen sehr schönen Abend im Homburger Hof. Ambiente passt perfekt, das Essen war ausgezeichnet, die Portionen riesig! Großes Lob an unseren Kellner Gabriel, der sehr um uns bemüht war und uns auch in die Frankfurter Küche eingewiesen hat :-)

Unglaublich gut! Man darf natürlich kein Sternerestaurant erwarten, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist für Frankfurter Verhältnisse sicher unschlagbar. Es schmeckt sehr gut, mit neuen Ideen gewürzte (auch im Wortsinn) gut(!)-bürgerliche Küche. Dazu kommt ein sehr, sehr guter, netter und kompetenter Service, dem man gerne volle 10% Trinkgeld gibt, vielleicht auch mehr. Hat der Chef etwas Zeit, gibt es beim Anruf zur Reservierung kaum einen netteren Gesprächspartner. Für uns mit meiner fast 90jährigen Mutter gab es mehrere Extras in Service und Betreuung, obwohl wir keine Stammgäste sind und sogar das erste Mal da waren. Das Lokal hat den Charme der guten alten Zeit - auch im besten Sinne. Man sitzt gemütlich an Holztischen und es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Im Sommer gibt es einen schönen Innenhof (wir waren im November da). In Alt-Eckenheim sollte man nicht erwarten, einen Parkplatz zu finden, kann aber Glück haben. Am besten kommt man mit dem ÖPNV - dann kann man auch einen Bembel mehr bestellen vom selbst erzeugten Apfelwein ;-) Leute, tragt dazu bei, dass dieses Lokal für immer gut im Geschäft bleibt - es lohnt sich!

Alte Kegelbahn aus den 50ern, aber uriges Flair. Die Räume werden nur mit mobilen Gas-Heizern aufgewärmt, aber im Sitzbereich wird es dann schon wohlig und gemütlich. Das Essen war gut und der Äppler auch.

Sehr nette Location! Eher rustikal eingerichet, mit ausreichend Sitzmöglichkeiten. Wir waren heute mit knapp 40 Leuten dort und wurden super rasch bedient. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und sogar für Veganer gab es eine Auswahl. Das vegane Essen war sehr lecker. der Service war super schnell und hatte alles "im Griff". Der Homburger Hof ist alles in allem für jegliche Gruppengröße sehr empfehlenswert

Ein wunderbarer Ort! Herzlich, gemütlich, hervorragendes Essen und großartige Getränke. Immer wieder gerne! So macht Frankfurt Freude!

Essen war für mich okay, kegeln macht super spaß und der style der Bahn im 50er Look super. Service war top.

Sehr spontan mit einer Gruppe von 20 Leuten Platz bekommen, Bedienung freundlich und zuvorkommend, Essen lecker und reichlich.
