Pasta Lounge in Ilmenau

A weekend in Ilmenau, and we ended up at the Pasta Lounge. Even though the chef isn't Italian, many Italian restaurants could learn a thing or two from this. Delicious food, a great atmosphere, and very friendly service. We'd gladly go back.

Waited a long time for the food... but it tasted good.

We had decided to stop by here based on the reviews. We arrived and asked if there was a table available. At first we were politely told no, it would be unsuitable due to regular customers and two reservations. We accepted this wholeheartedly and were already on our way out. Meanwhile, someone called after us very rudely, saying: "What nerve do you have to turn up here without a reservation? Make a reservation next time!" That won't happen. We were sitting nearby in another restaurant and were able to watch as we were blatantly lied to; only two guests who had been there before us were there the entire time. I'm still giving it one star in good conscience, because thanks to this rejection we found another very good restaurant.

In the run-up to the Rennsteig run I was looking for pasta the evening before and found it here. The patron was alone that evening and therefore a bit busy, but even without a reservation I quickly got my non-alcoholic wheat and very tasty tagliatelle with mushrooms. Because I didn't have any cash with me and card payments weren't possible (I overlooked that when I came in), I had to get some cash straight away. But that was also super uncomplicated. Very friendly boss, very tasty food. Gladly again.

The best asparagus in Ilmenau👍 My favorite: ham with fresh asparagus, jacket potatoes and hollandaise sauce👍 And definitely try an ice cream dessert. The ice cream is really incredibly delicious👍

The food was excellent. The waiter was a bit strange but okay. The restroom was very good. No parking in front of the building. You should park at the town hall. It wasn't crowded.

Very good, freshly prepared food, also available for takeaway. I highly recommend it.

Never again. Unfriendly is still putting it nicely. You really don't have to do that. Food tastes good somewhere else too.

Das ist eine nette Lokalität im ansonsten kulinarisch eher überschaubaren Ilmenau. Ein bisschen versteckt in einer Passage, aber es lohnt sich. Delikate Pasta-Gerichte zu moderaten Preisen, zuvorkommender und kommunikativer Wirt - was will man mehr. Geht hin, grad jetzt in der Pandemie!

Die Spaghetti mit Parmesan waren ganz hervorragend. Die Bedienung super nett und die Stimmung im Restaurant durch die Spiegel und Lichter anders als gewohnt aber sehr schön. Jederzeit wieder.

Wir haben hier sehr lecker gegessen sowie getrunken und wurden äußert freundlich bedient. Ich habe hier eine besondere und tolle Atmosphäre erlebt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Goed lekker eten. Netjes gevuld wijnglas. Prijs en kwaliteit goed. Jammer dat het net iets uit de winkelstraat ligt.

Wir sind ganz zufällig hier gelandet und sind begeistert. Das Essen und die Bedienung durch den Chef als Einzelkämpfer waren Spitze.

Bewerter Heinz N. ist in Ilmenau als Wolf im Schafspelz bekannt. Mir hat es jedenfalls in der Pasta Lounge immer geschmeckt. Die Bedienung ist stets freundlich und entgegenkommend. Gerade in der schweren Lockdown-Zeit war ich glücklich darüber, dass der Betreiber der Pasta Lounge einen Abholservice anbot.
