Unfortunately closed for the second time, even though it was stated that it was open. What a shame!

The hut was closed, although this was not stated anywhere! You get the feeling that it's only open when the operators feel like it!! There is no alternative far and wide, it's a shame...

We hiked up here after the Partnachklamm. The road is beautiful, the view from here is amazing. 40 minutes to the ski stadium. There were a lot of people, but our service was quick.

Was there with my wife, the service is below par.. Ate a currywurst that was hard and old, fries warmed up in the microwave. This took almost an hour. I can only mention the view of the mountains as a positive thing, but the landlord can't do anything about it.

Incredible! We walked upstairs with our young dog and wanted to eat and drink something. Our young dog spontaneously jumped on a nulplus ultra all-plastic garden chair for 4 seconds and the lady at the service immediately came to us and said that she is allergic to dogs, that she has to clean the table and chairs 4 times every day and that we are responsible for that Be careful next time. So uncomfortable! The dog is our baby and we understand what is meant but the way... Please don't go to this place, it's not worth it...

The location of the Alm is of course beautiful. The service itself was very friendly, there was nothing to complain about. However, the lady at the counter was very, very unfriendly. Starting with her complaining loudly to the cook, then a girl asked for cutlery for her wiener sausage, to which the lady said stroppily "but that costs €2 because you eat wiener with your fingers" and then the father When she wanted to pay two euros she also made fun of him. Then a group of young men came in and politely asked the lady how much water would cost. Your naturally pat answer: “Just look at the map, I don’t have time for that.” Despite all the love, there is of course a lot to do up there, but the way things were done was subterranean. My son ordered Maultaschen soup. However, the Maultaschen turned out to be tortellini. The apple strudel was cold and not baked properly. The taps in the toilets only worked dripping and the paper dispenser was also broken, so you were allowed to dry yourself with small tissues. So it's a real shame that such a beautifully located gem can be managed so poorly.

After a lovely hike in the Rhine Valley, we stopped at the Partnachalm at 4:30 p.m., which according to the board should be open until 7:00 p.m. No one came out to serve me at first, so I went in and greeted the “waiters.” Unfortunately there was no greeting returned. After asking for coffee and beer for the group, we were told that there were no more warm drinks. The beer was brought to us and water too, but it was with sparkling water instead of the still water we ordered. When we were told it was without, we kindly pointed to the gas bubbles and then got a still water for 3.50 euros for the little one with grumbling and an annoyed expression on our faces. Another table also got a few beers. After the order arrived at the table, around 4:35 p.m., they asked for a water. They simply said it was the last round, they wouldn't get anything anymore and the boss wanted to close it down. Strangely enough, a waitress came out afterwards, went to another table with a young family and wanted to give them drinks. However, these had already been received from another operator. The waitress complained to the guest that he could not cancel the order because the manager of the house did not allow cancellations. The family was visibly unsettled, but politely said that they wouldn't pay for drinks twice if the waitresses didn't agree on who would serve which table. The atmosphere was very tense and anything but hospitable. So we sat there and drank all of our drinks when the "boss" of the house, who was suggested to us, came and, without warning, locked the dining room from the inside at 4:40 p.m. without saying anything like "we're finishing work now" or something similar and stood behind her door and watched us, it made everyone very uncomfortable. So that a table could still be collected, the manager unlocked the door briefly, sent the waitress out, collected money and immediately closed it again. Guests (especially women) who wanted to go to the toilet again could no longer go. Personally, I was lucky enough to go to the toilets before ordering, which looked absolutely terrible and smelled like a manure pit. No one said goodbye to the guests, thanked them or made any other gestures that would be worthy of normal decency. Even working in the catering industry, it's a mystery to me how you can treat guests like that. The location is great. The house certainly had a lot of potential, but I have never experienced the way in which they deal with the seemingly unwanted guests in any hut yet. Why do you run a restaurant if, in my opinion, you simply treat guests in an absolutely unprofessional manner? The other reviews also speak volumes. There is also a drinks machine outside where beer costs 4 euros for 0.5 liters instead of 4.70 euros. Yesterday you received 1 bottle of Löwenbräu for this. The machine does not have age verification (just a coin slot), so that even children and young people can easily get alcohol here. “Alcoholic drinks may not be offered in vending machines in public (Section 9 Paragraph 3 Sentence 1 JuSchG). The machine is mounted on the outside wall of a building and is freely and uncontrolled accessible from public traffic areas. This constitutes a violation of Section 9 Paragraph 3 Sentence 1 JuSchG.”

Beautiful alpine pasture with a great view. The service was nice and quick, the shandy was a dream. A nice place to stop after visiting the Partnachklamm. We didn't eat anything here, so no review.

We arrived at 4:30 p.m. It is officially open until 5 p.m. It was said that tea will no longer be served. In other words, they didn't want to boil water for my 9-year-old daughter. It was immediately said that it was the last round, even though it was still open for half an hour. At the next table the order was taken twice because the waiters agreed incorrectly. The waiter then wanted to charge twice, even though the guests only had one order. The waiter immediately raised his voice, which all the guests present noticed. Absolutely impossible. Then the waiters argued loudly among themselves and then went into the hut. Suddenly the owner came and locked the door from the inside. No guest could use the toilet! Then the waiter came out to collect. Of course, he had to catch up to do this. When he came back in, it was immediately locked again and the owner then scolded him. Absolutely impossible and unprofessional behavior from the waiters and especially from the owner. Not recommended!

We arrived at the restaurant around half past four. When we asked if we could order something to eat, the answer was negative. Tea wasn't possible either, nor was a pretzel with beer, only cold drinks were offered. I also asked if there was a place to stay overnight and also got a negative answer. However, the information sign below stated that opening hours are 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and there are 8 beds available

If you get here around 2PM, you will get freshly baked cakes. Definitely try Cheesecake!

Nice little alpine pasture that we chose for lunch after visiting the Partnach Gorge. The food was good and not expensive for an alpine pasture. I just would have liked slightly larger portions, not everyone was full. Great view from the sun terrace!

I hiked upstairs with my class and then sat down in a free seat. The waiter then came out and told us in an extremely unfriendly manner that we couldn't sit here or order anything due to a lack of staff. Hello, me and my step came to your Alm on October 8th. We walked for 3 hours to find out that we weren't allowed to sit here with 20 people because they weren't able to serve us. Furthermore, we were spoken to as if we were small children and we were not taken seriously. The service was disrespectful and the Alm cannot be recommended. Go hiking but then go straight back down.

Our class wanted to stop off after a long hike, whereupon we were suddenly sent away and treated very unkindly due to a lack of staff. The lack of staff is completely understandable, but the way we were sent away was very unfriendly and absolutely rude. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food.

The service wasn't very friendly and when I ordered the cake I was asked snidely about the time: cakes are only available from 2 p.m. (for whatever reason) and it was 2:12 p.m. 3 stars. 2024: It started well. Our order was taken quickly and arrived quickly, but then, as in the previous year, there was a problem with the service. The food came without cutlery. When we asked, we were given a knife and fork for the spinach dumplings and a spoon for spaghetti Bolognese. Since spaghetti cannot be eaten with just a spoon, we asked for another fork. After over 10 minutes and several assurances that a fork would be brought to us, we had to be very pushy to finally get the fork. We couldn't order a second round of drinks because no one wanted to take our order. The service is very friendly, but unfortunately the service is still not that great. The portions are small and the prices are high. It doesn't taste bad, but it doesn't taste great either. The toilets are unkempt and the men's only had a sink with minimal water and the hand dryer was also broken (judging by the condition of the sign for a long time). All in all, we won't be coming back and since nothing has improved here since last year: 2 stars.

The pasta dish was good, as was the wheat beer. The highlight of the Alpine pastures is the view, and it is very beautiful here. Next time the way back to Partenkirchen will no longer lead through the gorge. There the unsuspecting hiker is charged €10. You can then walk back and forth through the gorge. If you just want to go there: there is no map for one direction.

I read the Google reviews before our visit and I have to honestly admit that I was a bit biased & skeptical. Nevertheless, we visited the Partnachalm and had to realize that we cannot agree with these many bad reviews: We reached the top today exactly during lunchtime. The terrace was very busy, but we still received wonderfully chilled drinks from friendly service within 10 minutes. Our kids ate spaghetti bolognese and wieners; everything fresh and reasonable portions/prices. Since I have been working in tourism for over 20 years, I observe what is happening in these areas very closely and can only say one thing: Dear people, finally learn some decency! If the waiter's polite greeting with "A beer and an apple juice spritzer!" If you respond without a request, a thank you or a simple hello, you don't have to be surprised if you're met with a repellent breeze. Topped with "...don't you have anything decent to eat?" and a discussion because only cash payment is accepted... with guests like that, it doesn't surprise me that no one wants to work in tourism anymore and therefore you have to wait longer for refreshments due to an acute shortage of staff... and to the busybodies who complain that Thursday is a day of rest: Hopefully the economy is going downhill and you have to work a 6-day week - don't complain, because thank God there are still (few) people who support you In your free time, at least in these 6 days, get everything right!

Very “polite” hut landlord. After a long descent I was tired, so I sat quietly next to Partnachalm. Even though I explained myself (I was left after a short break), the hut owner threatened me. He ordered me to leave within a minute or he would call the police. If they can treat a tired hiker so poorly, what good service can you expect from them?

Worst cabin I've ever been in. Ordered 4 half Russ'n non-alcoholic, got 4 Russ'n with alcohol. No apology from the hut staff, just taken away without understanding. After that, no more drinks came. Instead we had a lentil stew that we had ordered vegetarian with sausage. Staff again, even though he himself went into the kitchen when ordering and asked if the food was vegetarian, that's how we ordered it and that's how we should eat it. Very unfriendly staff. You can save yourself this hut.

Terrible experience!! We arrive with 7 people (4 adults and 3 children) we take 5 beers and 5 dishes to share with the children (total around €100)... when asked to have extra cutlery for the children (since they had only brought 4) we discover that cutlery has to be paid for (€2 ABSURD!!!) add to this the dislike of the waitress who doesn't speak English. What an absolute dog hole. First of all the waiter messed up our order completely and wasn’t super friendly either. He was clearly judging me when I asked for a beer, a small coke and some water (I meant like a jug of water to share as we were very thirsty, but they clearly haven’t heard of that concept here). He then got us the wrong beers and a glass of sparkling water instead of still water even though he had asked and I had clearly said still. We had a laugh about it and decided to leave it. But then the lady inside was super f*cking rude as well. Both the waiter and the lady barely speak English or refuse to. The toilets were absolute garbage. To top it all off, we found out they charged us something we hadn’t eaten - we didn’t have any food at all. Worst of the worst, do not come here.

Beautiful view after a good climb! Rude waiter, 3 of us were able to finish their plate before the 4th received hers which was not what she had ordered. When she wanted to mention it, the waiter interrupted her and left the table. The food is ok but no time to ask questions to the waiter who didn't want to interact with us. He should change jobs if he is not able to behave minimally acceptably with tourists.

I must have looked completely exhausted, I got a table straight away around 2 p.m. and the waiter was there in a flash...the drinks also came quickly. I was super happy...I probably would have eaten something too but my cash was empty. No card payment possible above.

The only vegetarian option is a cheese bread for €9.50 and absolutely overpriced for the portion served! Nobody in our group felt really comfortable, the owners don't seem to have much interest in their guests. The toilets are pretty run down, at least working lighting wouldn't be too much to ask for. There wasn't even a bulb in the lamp here.

You could have saved yourself the journey, Thursdays are a rest day, you couldn't see on the way. Drinks vending machine very expensive for zero service. Otherwise there are a lot of signs and rules that you should follow, don't change tables after ordering, don't lean on bikes, don't bring drinks or food with you. More like the feeling of pay it forward and go again, which by the way is only possible in cash.

If you want to treat yourself to something good culinary, take advantage of the 25 minutes from the Patnachhütte to the Kaiserschmachnalm and your stomach will also be pampered. Today we went on a trip with our dog to the Partnachalm. The path over the iron bridge was very beautiful. When we arrived at the alpine pasture there was unfortunately no water for our dog 😬even after asking several times.😔 The service was so-so. You have to pay extra for additional cutlery. Unfortunately the Alm is not recommended.

After a nice climb with our dog above the Partnach Gorge, we wanted to drink a wheat beer today. When we repeatedly asked whether there was a bowl of water for our dog, this was ignored. The beer and the view were good, unfortunately not good service, which we have never experienced in any alpine hut before. A pity!

A sausage salad with 18 slices of sausage? Two incompetent waitresses for 150 people? As soon as you are in the mountains, you can obviously expect anything from the idiots who come! We've never had to be so angry.

I can't remember ever experiencing so much unfriendliness in a mountain pasture, hut or inn. We arrived 30 minutes before the hut closed, just as a thunderstorm and heavy rain began. The landlady slammed the door in our faces and left us standing in the storm. Words fail me!

Was very hungry, but the menu was very thin. If you like sausages, you can try it there - I ordered a cheese sandwich, thinking you can't go wrong. Well, that was a mistake: Just the look when ordering! The ONE slice of bread was tasteless, cheap bread with hospital-brand plastic cheese. Top it with red paprika powder, but there was so much that you couldn't scrape it down. Plus a water: just €11.50! The only good thing was the view, hence three stars. Two young people sat at my table and each ordered a coffee. It came when I paid and wasn't great and was lukewarm. Unfortunately, the path from the Partnachklamm to the Kaiserschmarren Alm was not accessible.

As many here have already said, the atmosphere is very, very nice and the hut comes in handy after the steep climb. But the waitress is very unfriendly and it wasn't really possible to talk to him about his behavior (we were greeted and said hello back, but the waitress didn't seem to have heard us, whereupon we said, "That's how we do it." got the head). It was settled with the fact that you have a lot to do and you should work such a job yourself first. I don't fully understand what we can do about it as guests, but we certainly won't go there again.

A really beautifully located hut that we enjoyed stopping off at after the hike. Unfortunately, the service person was very unfriendly and said she had to teach us how to greet each other properly because she didn't hear our greeting. It was very crowded and certainly some guests were unfriendly. Therefore, friendly but perhaps more reserved guests should not be shouted at. What a shame.

The climb is strenuous for a city plant. Instead, you look forward to a cool blonde. The alpine pasture is surrounded by greenery with a beautiful view of the mountains. We had to wait a long time to order and eat.

A beautiful place. However, it gets very crowded. I find dog owners irresponsible who take their four-legged friends inside with the noise level, the crowds, narrow paths and dark tunnels. I am a dog owner myself and would never do that to my two.

Because of the construction site, the only stop accessible after the Partnachklamm: Leberkäs with potato salad for the husband was OK, for me only 1 meatless dish namely cheese bread: 1 slice of mixed bread with butter and thin slices of cheese, paprika powder and 3 pretzel sticks for 8.50 euros. The most expensive cheese bread of my life. The view doesn't make up for everything.

After having climbed the mountain for long minutes, we arrived at this bar that had little in the way of a bar, it had nothing, not even a coffee (it was on the menu). We ended up ordering 2 beers (acceptable) and a supposed panini that turned out to be an old piece of bread with some ham (horrible) and some onion fluff, on top of that 11 euros for this dish. The service was deplorable, the waiter insulted me for having ordered a radler instead of a beer. I do not recommend coming to this place. I suggest you learn to treat customers well and offer good service and product.

Nice and practical location and acceptable prices, but unfortunately completely overwhelmed "service". After 30 minutes of waiting, we wanted to at least order drinks at the bar to ease the burden on the service and were rudely dismissed from our seat by the senior. Nice mountain view, incredibly rude personel! I was super dizzy from hiking + the warm sun, and asked for water in German the best way I could. My german skills are pretty good, but grammatics not always perfect. The old woman at the cashier’s started critizing my german and having a lecture about that the sentence was not correct, instead of having empathy for somebody close to fainting. I got no water and walked out still having a bad migraine. I absolutely would recommend to bring your own food and beer in a backpack instead of giving this restaurant money. During all my years of hiking in Austria and Germany I have never experienced such rudeness.

Almost only cold cuisine. Nothing special. Beer, coffee and an unspectacular view. A bistro or kiosk usually offers more. It's better to take the "Iron Bridge" back over the Partnachklamm if you've come from Garmisch Partenkirchen.
