After a steep climb we had a refreshing beer and a delicious lentil soup. Very friendly, attentive and fast service. Price-performance ratio for a hut is very reasonable. Really cozy inside. Everything was great, nothing to complain about🍁☀️🏔

I hiked upstairs with my class and then sat down in a free seat. The waiter then came out and told us in an extremely unfriendly manner that we couldn't sit here or order anything due to a lack of staff. A lack of staff is all well and good, but the tone wasn't working at all! We weren't even given the opportunity to have a drink or just sit for a moment.

Our class wanted to stop off after a long hike, whereupon we were suddenly sent away and treated very unkindly due to a lack of staff. The lack of staff is completely understandable, but the way we were sent away was very unfriendly and absolutely rude. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food.

Hello, me and my step came to your Alm on October 8th. We walked for 3 hours to find out that we weren't allowed to sit here with 20 people because they weren't able to serve us. Furthermore, we were spoken to as if we were small children and we were not taken seriously. The service was disrespectful and the Alm cannot be recommended. Go hiking but then go straight back down.

2023: First, the food was very good in its simplicity and the cheesecake in particular is recommended. The prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other huts. However, the service is lacking. The service wasn't very friendly and when I ordered the cake I was asked snidely about the time: cakes are only available from 2 p.m. (for whatever reason) and it was 2:12 p.m. 3 stars. 2024: It started well. Our order was taken quickly and arrived quickly, but then, as in the previous year, there was a problem with the service. The food came without cutlery. When we asked, we were given a knife and fork for the spinach dumplings and a spoon for spaghetti Bolognese. Since spaghetti cannot be eaten with just a spoon, we asked for another fork. After over 10 minutes and several assurances that a fork would be brought to us, we had to be very pushy to finally get the fork. We couldn't order a second round of drinks because no one wanted to take our order. The service is very friendly, but unfortunately the service is still not that great. The portions are small and the prices are high. It doesn't taste bad, but it doesn't taste great either. The toilets are unkempt and the men's only had a sink with minimal water and the hand dryer was also broken (judging by the condition of the sign for a long time). All in all, we won't be coming back and since nothing has improved here since last year: 2 stars.

The waitresses chose the wrong job, clearly!! No vegetarian selection.. it's almost 2025 And then the prices 🤣 a cheese bread €9.5 Lentil soup also abysmally bad. You walk a long way up there and are then served so badly on such a bad menu with overpriced prices... It's actually a shame and then you're forced to get something there because there's nothing else.

We would have liked to eat and drink something there. But it was closed. The opening times and days were clear on the internet and on posters. Other hikers experienced the same thing. At least there was a drinks machine without card payment. Otherwise a nice view.

Unexpectedly closed on a Tuesday in summer (sept)

The pasta dish was good, as was the wheat beer. The highlight of the Alpine pastures is the view, and it is very beautiful here. Next time the way back to Partenkirchen will no longer lead through the gorge. There the unsuspecting hiker is charged €10. You can then walk back and forth through the gorge. If you just want to go there: there is no map for one direction.

I read the Google reviews before our visit and I have to honestly admit that I was a bit biased & skeptical. Nevertheless, we visited the Partnachalm and had to realize that we cannot agree with these many bad reviews: We reached the top today exactly during lunchtime. The terrace was very busy, but we still received wonderfully chilled drinks from friendly service within 10 minutes. Our kids ate spaghetti bolognese and wieners; everything fresh and reasonable portions/prices. Since I have been working in tourism for over 20 years, I observe what is happening in these areas very closely and can only say one thing: Dear people, finally learn some decency! If the waiter's polite greeting with "A beer and an apple juice spritzer!" If you respond without a request, a thank you or a simple hello, you don't have to be surprised if you're met with a repellent breeze. Topped with "...don't you have anything decent to eat?" and a discussion because only cash payment is accepted... with guests like that, it doesn't surprise me that no one wants to work in tourism anymore and therefore you have to wait longer for refreshments due to an acute shortage of staff... and to the busybodies who complain that Thursday is a day of rest: Hopefully the economy is going downhill and you have to work a 6-day week - don't complain, because thank God there are still (few) people who support you In your free time, at least in these 6 days, get everything right!

Very “polite” hut landlord. After a long descent I was tired, so I sat quietly next to Partnachalm. Even though I explained myself (I was left after a short break), the hut owner threatened me. He ordered me to leave within a minute or he would call the police. If they can treat a tired hiker so poorly, what good service can you expect from them?

People come there tired after a hike and there is nothing to eat there. Warm cuisine only 11.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m

The climb was great and you sit very nicely. But you shouldn't eat here. The ham sandwich wasn't worth its name. That was very very disappointing.

After a rather strenuous climb to the Partnachalm, we were really looking forward to the stop. Unfortunately we were very disappointed... It took a long time until the order was taken - and unfortunately the food was only worth one star. Sorry...

You felt totally uncomfortable. The apple strudel was cold and dry. There was no option to order vanilla sauce with it. In addition, you had to wait a long time before you could order.

Miserable! Despite repeated requests, we were unable to place an order after half an hour. Instead we were just shouted at stupidly by both waiters. The view is nice, but the tables with empty glasses and plates piled up ruin the ambience.

Of course it can take a while if there is a lot going on. We also understand that. However, I have no understanding if you are completely ignored. One waiter reacted 0.0 to waving even though he saw it clearly, the other nodded but then disappeared again. I left after about 30 minutes without paying any attention. As I observed, other guests did the same. I had enough time to study the menu in detail. Conclusion: expensive. Then I'll move on to the next alp.

The location of the alpine pasture and the view from there are hard to beat. You sit under shady trees and there is a lot less going on up here than in the hustle and bustle of the gorge. We arrived at 11 a.m., the service was very quick and extremely friendly. Unfortunately, the light wheat beer on the menu was not available and I was talked out of the non-alcoholic wheat beer. Okay, I'm flexible. We would also have liked to eat something, but this is only available from 11:30 a.m. Before, just snacks. I don't know what the problem is with warming up lentil soup? Vegetarian dishes are also rare on the menu. The apple strudel, on the other hand, can only be ordered from 2 p.m. And the highlight: “Cash only” is emblazoned on the inn. Folks, tradition may be nice, but keep up with the times!

Worst cabin I've ever been in. Ordered 4 half Russ'n non-alcoholic, got 4 Russ'n with alcohol. No apology from the hut staff, just taken away without understanding. After that, no more drinks came. Instead we had a lentil stew that we had ordered vegetarian with sausage. Staff again, even though he himself went into the kitchen when ordering and asked if the food was vegetarian, that's how we ordered it and that's how we should eat it. Very unfriendly staff. You can save yourself this hut.

A small highlander-style pub. Everything is made of wood, but it's nice and cozy. The food is tasty and at decent prices. Amazing views from the terrace to the mountains. The staff is pleasant and willing to provide information to tourists

Terrible experience!! We arrive with 7 people (4 adults and 3 children) we take 5 beers and 5 dishes to share with the children (total around €100)... when asked to have extra cutlery for the children (since they had only brought 4) we discover that cutlery has to be paid for (€2 ABSURD!!!) add to this the dislike of the waitress who doesn't speak English. Only German menu and not for children

What an absolute dog hole. First of all the waiter messed up our order completely and wasn’t super friendly either. He was clearly judging me when I asked for a beer, a small coke and some water (I meant like a jug of water to share as we were very thirsty, but they clearly haven’t heard of that concept here). He then got us the wrong beers and a glass of sparkling water instead of still water even though he had asked and I had clearly said still. We had a laugh about it and decided to leave it. But then the lady inside was super f*cking rude as well. Both the waiter and the lady barely speak English or refuse to. The toilets were absolute garbage. To top it all off, we found out they charged us something we hadn’t eaten - we didn’t have any food at all. Worst of the worst, do not come here.

Very nice hut. Fast and friendly service. Good drinks. Relatively outrageous that you should pay 2 euros for extra cutlery, especially when the shop is half empty. You can do it. But you don't have to. Waiter very friendly. Boss very unfriendly. Rip off.

Beautiful view after a good climb! Rude waiter, 3 of us were able to finish their plate before the 4th received hers which was not what she had ordered. When she wanted to mention it, the waiter interrupted her and left the table. The food is ok but no time to ask questions to the waiter who didn't want to interact with us. He should change jobs if he is not able to behave minimally acceptably with tourists.

I must have looked completely exhausted, I got a table straight away around 2 p.m. and the waiter was there in a flash...the drinks also came quickly. I was super happy...I probably would have eaten something too but my cash was empty. No card payment possible above.

Ich war mit der Familie nach einer Wanderung hier essen. Leider gibt es keine vegetarischen oder vegane Gerichte. Und sonst ist das Essen sehr lieblos und erinnert an Fertigessen und ich verstehe jetzt warum die Nachbartische nur Getränke hatten. Leider nicht empfehlenswert!

The only vegetarian option is a cheese bread for €9.50 and absolutely overpriced for the portion served! Nobody in our group felt really comfortable, the owners don't seem to have much interest in their guests. The toilets are pretty run down, at least working lighting wouldn't be too much to ask for. There wasn't even a bulb in the lamp here.

We have been here this morning and the waiter has been truly rude and unpleasant, I do not recommend going at all. I wish I had a minimum of respect for the client. They also do not accept cards...

You could have saved yourself the journey, Thursdays are a rest day, you couldn't see on the way. Drinks vending machine very expensive for zero service. Otherwise there are a lot of signs and rules that you should follow, don't change tables after ordering, don't lean on bikes, don't bring drinks or food with you. More like the feeling of pay it forward and go again, which by the way is only possible in cash.

We can't say anything about the service and food. We came from the Partnachklamm and followed the signs. Nowhere did it say that Thursday is a day of rest. There's a drinks machine there that only takes coins. We had just enough for the three of us to share a drink.

You walk this strenuous uphill tour in hot weather and look forward to the Alpine pasture... And then? Closed on Thursdays! Instead, there is a drinks machine, which of course only accepts change and no cards... Germany 2024

The way of thinking is clearly visible here: to welcome vacationers and tourists who get lost once and not as permanent guests. Dear holidaymakers in our beautiful Bavarialand. If you want to enjoy a great view, you've come to the right place. If you want to treat yourself to something good culinary, take advantage of the 25 minutes from the Patnachhütte to the Kaiserschmachnalm and your stomach will also be pampered. Conclusion: what to drink and what to eat worth considering

There is no drinking fountain on this mountain pasture! For 0.5l of water you have to pay €3 in coins

Today we went on a trip with our dog to the Partnachalm. The path over the iron bridge was very beautiful. When we arrived at the alpine pasture there was unfortunately no water for our dog 😬even after asking several times.😔 The service was so-so. You have to pay extra for additional cutlery. Unfortunately the Alm is not recommended.

After a nice climb with our dog above the Partnach Gorge, we wanted to drink a wheat beer today. When we repeatedly asked whether there was a bowl of water for our dog, this was ignored. The beer and the view were good, unfortunately not good service, which we have never experienced in any alpine hut before. A pity!

Menu is very limited with no varieties, service very bad and took long time to order and long time for serving our drinks, rude waiter always in a hurry to do anything but serving you, waiter was choosing which customers to serve and which not to, definitely not a place I would like to visit again

Warm food until 2:30 p.m. - if of course no one comes for ages and then at 2:35 p.m. they say there's no more food - they're very strict - you're already served. At the neighboring table (family with children) the food order was taken at 2:28 p.m. - at 3:20 p.m. we were casually informed that there was nothing more coming. Poor organization in the service - understaffed and a bit messed up. Unfortunately I can only describe the impression from today, but I would probably not come here again. PS: I then ordered a piece of cheesecake, at least it tasted good

Were there at 11:30 a.m. and were served quickly, but after around 12:30 p.m. you probably have to expect longer waiting times. The climb was pleasant, the service was funny and quick.

I can't remember ever experiencing so much unfriendliness in a mountain pasture, hut or inn. We arrived 30 minutes before the hut closed, just as a thunderstorm and heavy rain began. The landlady slammed the door in our faces and left us standing in the storm. Words fail me!

A sausage salad with 18 slices of sausage? Two incompetent waitresses for 150 people? As soon as you are in the mountains, you can obviously expect anything from the idiots who come! We've never had to be so angry.

Was very hungry, but the menu was very thin. If you like sausages, you can try it there - I ordered a cheese sandwich, thinking you can't go wrong. Well, that was a mistake: Just the look when ordering! The ONE slice of bread was tasteless, cheap bread with hospital-brand plastic cheese. Top it with red paprika powder, but there was so much that you couldn't scrape it down. Plus a water: just €11.50! The only good thing was the view, hence three stars. Two young people sat at my table and each ordered a coffee. It came when I paid and wasn't great and was lukewarm. Unfortunately, the path from the Partnachklamm to the Kaiserschmarren Alm was not accessible.

As many here have already said, the atmosphere is very, very nice and the hut comes in handy after the steep climb. But the waitress is very unfriendly and it wasn't really possible to talk to him about his behavior (we were greeted and said hello back, but the waitress didn't seem to have heard us, whereupon we said, "That's how we do it." got the head). It was settled with the fact that you have a lot to do and you should work such a job yourself first. I don't fully understand what we can do about it as guests, but we certainly won't go there again.

A really beautifully located hut that we enjoyed stopping off at after the hike. Unfortunately, the service person was very unfriendly and said she had to teach us how to greet each other properly because she didn't hear our greeting. It was very crowded and certainly some guests were unfriendly. Therefore, friendly but perhaps more reserved guests should not be shouted at. What a shame.

A beautiful place. However, it gets very crowded. I find dog owners irresponsible who take their four-legged friends inside with the noise level, the crowds, narrow paths and dark tunnels. I am a dog owner myself and would never do that to my two.

The climb is strenuous for a city plant. Instead, you look forward to a cool blonde. The alpine pasture is surrounded by greenery with a beautiful view of the mountains. We had to wait a long time to order and eat.

Because of the construction site, the only stop accessible after the Partnachklamm: Leberkäs with potato salad for the husband was OK, for me only 1 meatless dish namely cheese bread: 1 slice of mixed bread with butter and thin slices of cheese, paprika powder and 3 pretzel sticks for 8.50 euros. The most expensive cheese bread of my life. The view doesn't make up for everything.

After having climbed the mountain for long minutes, we arrived at this bar that had little in the way of a bar, it had nothing, not even a coffee (it was on the menu). We ended up ordering 2 beers (acceptable) and a supposed panini that turned out to be an old piece of bread with some ham (horrible) and some onion fluff, on top of that 11 euros for this dish. The service was deplorable, the waiter insulted me for having ordered a radler instead of a beer. I do not recommend coming to this place. I suggest you learn to treat customers well and offer good service and product.

Nice and practical location and acceptable prices, but unfortunately completely overwhelmed "service". After 30 minutes of waiting, we wanted to at least order drinks at the bar to ease the burden on the service and were rudely dismissed from our seat by the senior. Negative experience with the otherwise very warm Bavarian hospitality.

Nice mountain view, incredibly rude personel! I was super dizzy from hiking + the warm sun, and asked for water in German the best way I could. My german skills are pretty good, but grammatics not always perfect. The old woman at the cashier’s started critizing my german and having a lecture about that the sentence was not correct, instead of having empathy for somebody close to fainting. I got no water and walked out still having a bad migraine. I absolutely would recommend to bring your own food and beer in a backpack instead of giving this restaurant money. During all my years of hiking in Austria and Germany I have never experienced such rudeness.

Almost only cold cuisine. Nothing special. Beer, coffee and an unspectacular view. A bistro or kiosk usually offers more. It's better to take the "Iron Bridge" back over the Partnachklamm if you've come from Garmisch Partenkirchen.

Ein Tisch war gerade frei geworden, als wir ankamen. Die Gäste am Nachbartisch machten uns aber darauf aufmerksam, dass hier schon 3 Familien gesessen hatten, die alle wegen zu langer Wartezeit wieder gegangen waren. Wir hatten keinen Zeitdruck und wollten das schöne Wetter genießen, also warteten wir geduldig. Irgendwann habe ich dann selbst das Geschirr von unserem Tisch auf einen Abräumtisch gestellt und hatte schon vor, die 2 Kellner als Abräumer / Tischabwischer zu unterstützen (ich kellnere auch ab und zu). Nach einer gefühlten Ewigkeit wurde unsere Bestellung und die von mehreren anderen Tischen aufgenommen. Irgendwann später kam auch das Essen - die anderen wurden zuerst bedient, obwohl sie nach uns kamen und nach uns bestellt hatten. Aber wenigstens war der Apfelstrudel lecker (gerne hätten wir Mittag gegessen, aber es war schon nach 14 Uhr). Ich habe nichts bestellt, weil ein nicht abgewischter und dadurch klebriger Tisch nicht zum Essen einlädt. Auch die Toiletten ließen sehr zu wünschen übrig.

Very bad service after three quarters of an hour we left the restaurant when we couldn't order anything. Despite asking, no one was available. Very unfriendly and rude staff. We waited a very long time for the drinks, we were even asked again in between what we would like to drink. When serving the food, the waitress poured the sauce over our table and pants and threw the cutlery down when clearing away. When paying we could “theoretically” choose the price. Definitely not recommended. It's better to go straight on to the Kochelberg-Alm.

The view is quite nice. The soup wasn't warm and didn't taste good. Staff quite unfriendly.

Glasses are simply dipped into the water and filled for the next customer. But what shocked me is that the basin where water is used to wash glasses is also used to mix drinks... so you should at least use fresh water from the tap.

Unfortunately closed even outside of a rest day, without any information before the climb. Best to avoid, you never know when they'll be open...

We wanted to have some lunch here, but there was very limited choice. We also had to wait a long time and when it was finally our turn to order, they got mad at us for asking some questions about the food ‘because there is a line’. After the climb from the Partnachklamm, a rest on the Partnachalm is like a little paradise. Delicious food at a very reasonable price/performance ratio, great views included. Very clean toilets available.

Absolute catastrophe! Bad schnitzel (fatty meat), even worse potato salad (partly hard potatoes) and extremely unfriendly and unhelpful innkeepers. It's better to hike a little further and go to the Kaiserschmarrn-Alm. It's 1000 times more beautiful and better!

Very disappointing. After a strenuous climb the hut was closed.!! Even though the internet said it was open on Thursday. It wasn't just us. Well, money probably went somewhere else. Never again .

We have been to many huts and alpine pastures, but we have never experienced anything as unfriendly as here, it wasn't even unfriendly, but rather rude. We moved one table further because the sun was shining and it was quite cool in the shade, specifically on September 24th, 2023. My wife kindly pointed out to the (older) waitress that we had moved. This became very loud and, as I said, quite harsh and increasingly impudent. Since several guests had moved, she had probably taken out all her frustration on my wife. We insisted on paying immediately and that was it, forever. Never again !!! One star is already too many, it's there because the view is really nice, but it was no longer interesting after the incomprehensible aggression. If this restaurant were dependent on locals, it wouldn't stand a chance with such nasty service. Such people definitely don't belong in the service. If you want to be friendly and get yelled at by the waitress, you're in good hands here. We really didn't feel like eating anymore after the escalation, so we can't give a review about the food.

Beautiful winter walk starting at the Olympia Ski Stadium car park through the wildly romantic Partnach Gorge up to the Partnachalm including a cozy stop and then a moderate downhill walk back to the starting point of the tour at the ski stadium. With enough snow and "imperial weather" all in all a real pleasure.

Unfortunately the opening times are not updated! You will only be informed on site that it is closed on weekdays! This is the second time I've stood in front of closed doors!
