Schnell Restaurant in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Everything was perfect; we enjoyed the last rays of sunshine with a good beer and a snack. Ordering more bread wasn't a problem either. Super friendly and exceptional service.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. I don't share the good reviews, which is why we went here with the kids first. Because if you offer 'Weißwurst' (white sausage with pretzels) as the daily special, you should expect to get it around 4:00 PM. After our rather casual order (including the other two dishes) was taken by an unmotivated waiter who would probably go to the basement to smile, we were surprised to see two portions of 'Weißwurst' (white sausages) with a pretzel and a slice of brown bread. When we asked where the pretzels were, the only response was, "We're out of them." I find that more than questionable, especially since one employee was standing behind the counter the entire time we were there, busy on her cell phone, instead of going to the bakery next door to get more?! The schnitzel was mediocre, much too thick, and more like a breading than a crispy, airy coating—not what it should be. The second dish was also just okay. The side salads were barely edible due to a dressing that took some getting used to. Unfortunately, as already described elsewhere, it's really just a tourist-friendly place. The location is quite nice, but there are certainly many better restaurants – many of which, unfortunately, opened later.

Good locations and excellent Ambiance Recommended for premium dining and drinks experience

The bratwurst with potato salad was excellent here. The currywurst was good too. A lot of the restaurants we saw in Garmisch were onlyopen for dinner so this was a great place to have lunch.

The food at the Hubertus Restaurant is excellent – freshly prepared and flavorful. Every dish was a taste sensation. The service is friendly. We'll be back!
