Pavillon in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

It's a shame that zero stars can't be given, that would have been the real achievement. So zero stars and the recommendation to avoid this place.

We ordered four lattes and a coffee, along with a cream puff and a few slices. The coffee and cream puff were good, the latte macchiato was cold and the slices were anything but fresh. (Nausea came half an hour after eating it.) The toilet was partly clean, the toilet seats were full of brown stains and there was no toilet paper. I give three stars for the coffee and the cream puff and zero stars for the rest.

Lovely. So nice we returned and returned. Exceptional service. Ever popular with good reason. Today we all had the duck. It was delicious.

We ordered only coffee and it was terrible - bad taste, ugly presentation. The location is good, it was uncomfortable to sleep. The service is mediocre.

I'd prefer to pay 4.70€ for a glass of water than for the cappuccino I have ordered...

Capuccino for 4.8€ was worse than from the vending machine in any metro

It's very tasty. I haven't expected that meat can be cooked so perfectly and really friendly service.

We had the venison in a brown sauce with cranberries, knödeln, and broccoli with sliced almonds. It was outstanding. Our waiter was very friendly. Attractive building and setting. Highly recommended.

In the summer it's nice to sip a light beer under a thick tree and watch people - that's vacation. Nice service, normal prices.

Actually tending towards 0 stars. The ambience elevates it a bit since it's centrally located at the spa fountain. But extremely unfriendly and annoyed. Cream puffs €4.50 with sour dried cream! Toilets also not very clean without paper. There are better places and, above all, friendlier places!

A little expensive for the quality of the food which is quite average. That's impeccable service and good atmosphere. It is also in the heart of Garmisch.

Wanted a cafe and cake or something similar in the afternoon. I enjoyed it, but I lost sight of the ugly, plain table and the map - it disgusted me to study it any further. Such an old, stuck piece of cardboard! Then just ordered a latte. Came quickly, again very easy, not even a biscuit, put there in a hurry. And the price for it: €5 people, no! I'm local, never again. Unfortunately! There were no smiles either! Was in the restaurant upstairs in winter, it was very nice and very good. It was before Corona...

The coffee was in the machine, meaning it was normal. I had a cheesecake and it was delicious, but the service was very bad, as if you were forcing them, and this makes it impossible for me to return.

For me the best thing there is...quick and quick waiters, everything fresh on the table. The pavilion alone is worth a trip here.

Bei zwei Besuchen hier lecker gefrühstückt. Freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service. Kartenakzeptanz und frühe Öffnungszeit (09:00) sprechen auch für den Pavillon.

Didn’t get any food. My husband and I sat down to get drinks. I had Hugo mit Prosecco and my husband had Lowenbrau Hell vom Fass. Beautiful spot to sit down with incredible views.

It was a quiet wet afternoon when we stopped by. A couple of customers enjoying relaxed conversation. Quick service and beautiful food.

There is always a place. Small sufficient card. Stay comfortably.

There were rims on the glass of the cola as well as the latte macchiato, i.e. residue from the dishwasher, I assume, and there was a hair in the latte. At no point did we get a card and in general both waiters were very bored and uninterested - it seemed to us as if they had no desire to do anything for their guests.

Price performance is no longer justified

TO UPDATE! 1 star, but only because I can't give 0 stars. We get there at 7:45 p.m., hoping my wife and I can have a drink before the work week starts. When we get there, we are basically stopped, again; 7:45 p.m. that the restaurant is about to close. When we say that online the closing time is 9 p.m., they say that it has been at 8 p.m. for two years. Annoyed, we moved on. In this day and age, you simply have to stay up to date with the latest media, otherwise you will only leave miserable impressions.

Very underwhelming. Can't recommend. Seemed like all our meals were deep frozen and just popped into the microwave.

We had a great breakfast. Great selection. There really is something for everyone. The staff is very friendly. Right at the scene of the action. We recommend.

Cozy, great service, delicious food

I think the waitresses were overwhelmed. We were in the next room and had to wait a good 20 minutes until someone came, even though the waitress next door was serving and saw us. It wasn't just us, some people waited a long time until they could pay. They walked past you without seeing anything.

The classic in the center of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Friendly staff, good selection of food and drinks, great ambience with a clear view of Richard Strauss Platz. Highly recommended!

Wir haben zwei Cappuccino, ein Kirschstreusel und ein Mandarinen Schwand Kuchen bestellt. Der Mandarinen Schmand Kuchen war frisch und schmeckte auch. Der Kirschstreusel war uralt, die Streusel durchzogen. Das Stück schmeckte wie Pappe. Beiden Cappuccino fehlte der Kaffee Geschmack und waren lauwarm. Wir zahlten ohne die Cappuccino getrunken oder den Kirschstreusel gegessen zu haben. Die Bedienung ignoriert die nicht geleerten Tassen / Teller und kassierte emotionslos ab.

Went there spontaneously for coffee. The cake was okay but nothing special. The waiter looked bored. As soon as I sat down at the table, he wanted to take the order. My husband was brought another cake with the words that the one he ordered was out and that it was similar. Hmm...🤨

We ate here twice during our short stay in Garmisch as the food was exceptional. It was freshly cooked and delicious.The menu changed from one evening to the next, suggesting they buy what is in season and available. We ate in the evening and they do close early, but that was fine with us. Nice atmosphere. Good pricing. Service was courteous and knowledgeable. Would definitely return when we are next in Garmisch.

The food, the service, the ambience - always perfect for us. It's a daily ritual to stop here during our vacation.

Eine unmögliche Bedienung, Nach dem sie erfahren hat das wir nur was Trinken, hätte sie und zwei nichts, beschwerte sie sich bei uns das sie einen Tisch an unserem geschoben hat. Nach dem andere Gäste kamen und mehr Plätze benötigte musste unsere Begleitung den Tisch räumen. Ein unmöglichen Verhalten wenn man Höflich gefragt hätte währe das kein Problem gewesen. Ich diese Café nie wieder besuchen. M

Wir waren Silvester zum Essen im Pavillon. Es gab Selleriesuppe, Wild und Mousse Schokolade, alles sehr lecker. Besser geht nicht. Das Ambiente so gemütlich, das Feuer im Kamin, die vielen Kerzen und schön eingedeckt. Wunderbar! Und die freundliche Bedienung, so aufmerksam. Was will man mehr. Preis-Leistung gut. Immer wieder gerne. Wünsche Euch allen ein gutes neues Jahr. Bis bald!

Hier kann man immer erstklassig essen. Wer Garmisch-Partenkirchen besucht, sollte mindestens einmal bei Adelwärth zum Essen gegangen sein. Ich selbst habe ein Kalbsschnitzel mit Preiselbeersoße gegessen. War sehr lecker.

Der Kaffee ist ein durchschnittlicher Maschinen Kaffee. Die Dampfnudel hat etwas salzig geschmeckt und ich habe grüne Gemüse Fäden (Rückstände von Lauch?) auf der Dampfnudel gefunden.

Sehr zuvorkommender Service, Essen liebevoll hergerichtet und ausgesprochen schmackhaft. Ich komme immer wieder gerne in euer Restaurant

Sehr große Auswahl an Kuchen & Torten (auch noch am Abend). Kirsch-Streusel-Kuchen war super! Bienenstich hat mir persönlich zu stark nach Hefe geschmeckt. Sehr aufmerksamer & freundlicher Service. Viele Plätze.

Guter Service, leckeres Essen, schnell und unkompliziert mit schönem Blick auf die Fußgängerzone.

Man sitzt hier sehr gemütlich draußen und hat einen tollen Blick auf die Zugspitze und den Wank. Der Service war sehr nett und zuvorkommend und die Preise sind absolut im Normbereich. Das Essen kann ich leider nicht beurteilen, es sah aber zumindest an den Nachbartischen sehr ansprechend aus.

Ein sehr schönes Lokal, man sitzt besonders schön im 1. Stock oder bei schönem Wetter draußen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben alle Käsespätzle gegessen. Es gab einen leckeren Beilagensalat, auch sehr schön fürs Auge angerichtet, Leider waren der Teller mit den Käsespätzle sehr übersichtlich! Geschmacklich sehr gut, allerdings haben wir das Lokal mit noch etwas Hungergefühl verlassen...

Sind an einem Sonntagmorgen angereist und suchten uns eine Örtlichkeit um einen Kaffee zu trinken, bevor wir zu unserer Unterkunft weiter fahren. Da wir auch ein wenig Hunger hatten, haben wir uns zum Kaffee Rührei bestellt. Das Rührei war super lecker, ebenso wie der Kaffee. Von früheren Besuchern wissen, dass auch der Apfelkuchen sehr lecker ist. Gerne kommen wir wieder

Sehr schönes Café wir haben nur etwas getrunken um die Wartezeit bis zur zugspitze Auffahrt zu überbrücken und das Personal war wirklich freundlich. Das Ambiente war gepflegt und sehr zentral mit einem schönen Überblick zur Fußgängerzone. Die Toiletten waren auch sauber und ordentlich. Und die Getränkepreise waren auch in Ordnung. Alles in allem haben wir uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt.

Nettes Personal und schönes Gebäude, allerdings ist das Ambiente Innen nicht sehr gemütlich. Draußen ist es schön. Das Essen war lecker und es gibt eine schöne Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten, jedoch sind die Preise ziemlich teuer dafür, dass die Gerichte/ Portionen relativ klein sind. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hier daher nicht so gut.

Essen finde ich sehr teuer. Eine große Portion pommes für die Kinder für über 7 Euro und auch ein ganz einfaches Baguette (bekommt man ganz billig in jedem Supermarkt) zum Aufbacken mit ein wenig Hähnchen und Tomaten & Salat drin für knapp 14 Euro. Man sitzt direkt am Platz vor der Touristeninformation, was ganz nett ist, aber jetzt auch nicht besonders schön vom Ambiente her. Der Service ist solide. Ich finde es ist ein schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Man rechtfertigen scheinbar mäßiges Essen mit dem Platz und somit mit gesalzenen Preisen.

Service sehr unfreundlich 😕 Kuchen war nicht der Hit war Rührkuchen mit Sahne ein halbe Erdbeere 🍓 hab ich als Tiramisu Verkauft bekommen 😞

Wir hatten dort Kaffee und Kuchen. Alle Kuchen waren selbst gemacht sehr frisch und Superlecker. Über den Kaffee und die Kaffeespezialitäten gibt es auch nichts zu meckern. Die Preise waren auch angemessen aber leider sind die Kellner:innen dort nicht die aufmerksamsten, sonst hätten wir besinnt noch etwas nachbestellt.

This place blew it out of the water. The food was exceptional. When I saw the prices for food I expected things to be ordinary, so my surprise it was extraordinary. The plating was beautiful and portions more than expected. Highly recommend. Our meal was under €30.

Hicimos una parada para conocer este pintoresco pueblo y paramos en este restaurante para recuperar fuerzas y seguir recorriendo. La atención muy cordial, y lo que pedimos estuvo muy bien. El lugar es agradable y cuenta con mesas afuera.

Possibly the most expensive and worst cup of coffee in all of Germany. Chicken wings and fries were sub gas station level. We didn't dare eat the salad. Service was also poor. ... I don't normal bother with reviews, but many months later this experience still haunts me ...

In the middle of the village, they serve traditional food and beer. Close to a park, and at the end (or beginning ) of a nice walk.

We stopped here to have a cappuccino. It was such a beautiful morning we decided to have an Aperol also . Good service . Will definitely return

This restaurant graciously accommodated our group of 12. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Waitress was very kind and helpful. This was an enjoyable meal!!

This looked like a pretty cool place from the outside and the menu looked appetizing, but that was deceiving. After a long day, we decided to have a light supper and dessert here and took a seat outside. Service was slow (even for Germany) to take our order and get drinks. We both ordered the beef goulash soup with bread which initially looked good, but was so salty that neither of us could eat it and I'm pretty much a salt-aholic, so that says a lot. Deciding to tempt fate further, we ordered a cream filled crepe for dessert that came with berries, a glaze and fresh strawberries. It appeared that they attempted to caramelize sugar for the top to give it a nice crunch however, it was completely burnt down to the crepe itself, making the outside inedible. The glaze on top was similar to the strawberry glaze on cheap pies and the ice cream was just plain. All in all, it was a very disappointing meal. The location is great and the views are nice, but I would walk up the street to another location next time.

Nice to be able to eat outside on a summer evening in a quiet mall with the outline of the Alps in the background. Well prepared food and very reasonable prices: typically Bavarian dishes can cost less than ten euros. Pleasant service.

Having lived in GAP for over 3 years, it was a place we never tried. We went back for a weekend and were looking for an light evening snack and were pleasantly surprised by the waiters attentive service and the high standard of food. Top marks, we will be back when we are back in town.

From breakfast through dinner - you´ll get everything you crave for. Nice location between the shopping (car free) street and the quaint Kurpark.

We had a busy day of site seeing and decided on a late lunch early dinner option. We scanned a few restuarant menu’s and cafes in the shopping district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and came across ‘Pavillon’. We were seated and handed menu’s swiftly. I asked the waiter if he could make a recommendation. His response was that all options are very good. We had five in our group. My husband ordered a panini, my son ordered a vegetarian curry, my other two son’s and I ordered ‘bavarian’ type meals. We were all very happy with our choices.

We went to this place in the evening for a quick bite and a beer and that's what we got. If you don't have high expectations, you won't get disappointed. Service was good, prices are OK.

A very clean and good restaurant. The Service is speedy and friendly and the meals are good and tasty. Because of the location you can sit inside or outside, with full service. We've been there several times now and it was always good.

We have been with my husband walking in Garmisch and wanted to enjoy a good lunch. Unfortunately this place has not offered a good lunch. I ordered quiche with salat, which was clearly heated in a microwave and seemed to be made of carbonara sauce , with a liquid consistency. After this not enjoyable lunch, I wanted to at and they rejected to even try my VISA card. Will never come back again.

We were on a shop until you drop mission, we stopped here for lunch. It was a very pretty day so we sat outside. The outside was very busy. The food was tasty, the beer good, and the atmosphere very nice. Service was good and was not expensive.

This is a favourite stop of mine for lunch as they always have something interesting on the menu, and excellent cakes too. Outside in pleasant in the summer and inside you can see out into the square or Kurpark through the big windows.

Right in the center of the twin villages and in the pedestrian zone and next to the Kurpark you´ll find this nice glass pavillion. They serve everything from coffee and pies to salads,soups, great entrees etc.

Enjoy a traditional German meal or a coffee/dessert while looking out over the pedestrian street through the large windows. I visited Pavillon while driving through town and had a deliciously filling lunch. We sat on the second floor- quieter and more scenic than the first....

We go here each year and have done for 22 years now when we stay in Partenkirchen. It's only a 10 minute walk across to Garmisch and this park has beautiful formal flower beds and many are in patterns such as the flag etc. The...
