Great restaurant with a lovely beer garden – highly recommended! We were thrilled with the spacious location and its lovely beer garden – perfect for relaxing. While reservations are recommended, we were able to get a spot even on the spur of the moment. The food was truly delicious, and although the restaurant was busy, it was pleasantly quiet and easy to have a good conversation. The service was friendly and attentive, and both the drinks and food arrived surprisingly quickly – really well-organized considering how busy it was! An all-around successful visit – I highly recommend the restaurant.

We weren't served. Guests who arrived after us already had their drinks, while we weren't even looked at.

We were passing through and stopped for a bite. While strolling through the pedestrian zone, we got hungry. The beer garden was very busy around 7:00 p.m., so we went there. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We had one pork knuckle, one snack board, one water, and a wheat beer. All in all, €49.90. The price would have been reasonable. But the good knuckle and the equally good dumplings unfortunately didn't come with any other side dishes, such as cabbage. The snack plate was rather modest. Little choice, and very little bread, rather dry. For €20.90, that wasn't enough. Hence the deductions for the food. But the atmosphere here is good, and the seating is very pleasant. Conclusion: Recommended

I had the salad with chicken breast strips, and my friends had the burger with sweet potato fries. The food was excellent; the fries could have been a bit bigger, and my chicken breast strips could have been fried a bit more, but that's a matter of taste. In any case, it tasted great. Service was very friendly, and prices were tourist-standard. I would go again.

We enjoyed the first rays of sunshine outside. The outdoor area is beautifully designed. Part of the area is waiter-serviced, part of which is self-service with cocktails, wine, mulled wine, and Aperol. It's also very nice in the summer, with a beer garden and delicious food.

A very nice, I would call it a typical Bavarian restaurant. Service is super friendly and fast. The ambiance is a bit of a letdown, as the seating is past its best. The food is good, but a bit overcooked. It took less than 10 minutes for the food to arrive at the table. But it's basically worth a stop.

This is what dining in 2025 looks like! Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were warmly greeted at the entrance and shown to a free table. The modern, cozy ambiance is extremely appealing, and the service is truly lightning-fast and exceptionally friendly. We enjoyed the food, and the prices were fair. Card payments are also no problem here. We highly recommend it!

Enjoy the view with a wheat beer. There's a small "playground" on the side for the little ones.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and cozy. We had reserved a table for two people that day and the staff were a bit overwhelmed with this information when we were there. It seemed a bit like the reservation had gone down. We were then allowed to sit at a high table. The food was plentiful and okay, but nothing super special in my opinion. The staff was really very friendly and attentive.

Overpriced. The portions are fine and the food is mediocre. We had Schnitzel (€30), and some gulasch with boiled potato (the eyes were not removed). Food was disappointing, would not recommend. Spent €75 for 2 people, including dessert. You can get better tasting kaiserschmarrn and schnitzel anywhere else.

Restaurant in the middle of the city, good food but then the service, no attention, presents us with menus in German even though we speak English. He comes and I ask him for a menu in English which he brings back then I had to get up to ask for a desert and to pay the waiter left without saying goodbye. I followed the backpacker's guide who recommended this restaurant and found me to have a very deplorable waiter. I will not go back there.

We were here twice during our vacation to Garmisch. The hotel staff recommended that we dine here. The first night, I had wurst with sweet mustard while my husband had the schnitzel. The potato dumplings were delicious. The second night, my husband had a pork knuckle, and I had the chicken smothered in mushroom gravy. The pork skin was crispy while the meat was so soft and flavorful. The chicken dish was just lovely.

A beautiful place to eat and enjoy a cold drink in Garmisch. Service was very friendly and attentive. However, I have to deduct one star. Greetings, maybe in the future you will learn to value your staff in front of guests. We personally didn't like the way it was done.

The waiter from Portugal who chews gum is as arrogant as we have rarely seen. Depending on the appearance, you will be assigned to good or less good tables - mind you, NOT seated, if you are alone, a clerk is also allowed to come to the table, because there will probably be noticeably not enough sales and tips for him. Thank goodness the beautiful restaurant has a very attentive boss.

Friendly staff and dishes of really excellent and tasty quality – a pleasure. For example, the crispy pork knuckle is really crispy and super tasty. Or the best burger with goat cheese ever. The only somewhat bland aftertaste was that dark beer was only available in bottles and unfortunately not on tap. Nevertheless, very happy again…

Christmas Day - it's clear that many people want to go out to eat and that you should take some time with you. Nevertheless, we were very disappointed. We had to wait 20 minutes until the waitress came by. Then we had to ask the head waiter twice for the menu because we wanted to eat something. Luckily we got the card after 30 minutes. Afterwards we were asked for drinks. These came quickly too. We would just wait to ask what we would like to eat. There were no more conditions. When paying for the drinks I took the liberty of saying that we would like to eat something. Then I got an unacceptable answer from the head waiter: I was nearby and they would have called. Today, on Boxing Day, we ate at Maronis in the restaurant opposite. Although it was very full inside and out, we were served very warmly and didn't have to wait long for our food. So Fischer's Mohrenplatz might be good when it comes to dishes? I can't make any judgments about that. BUT THE SERVICE from the head waiter was disastrous and unacceptable.

We wouldn't have expected that in a place like this. Nicely decorated, very good service, very good food and good value for money. The only thing we don't understand is why diced shank meat is called “shank shreds”.

We stood in front of the restaurant and decided against visiting because of the name. In an open society you should rename yourself.

We were there on Saturday and had a great Kaiserschmarrn. happy after our hike. We asked nicely for 2 seats and were already scanned from top to bottom... when we got to the table we were immediately asked. You already know what you want to eat, right? No? We just entered the restaurant..? We got 2 cards slapped on the table, well… it seemed to us as if they wanted us out quickly, because less than a minute later we were asked again what we wanted to eat. Note: there was hardly anything going on! So we order something to drink first, we sat right in front of the bar. There we heard from the bartender: What the heck, I'm not in the mood anymore. Really great feel-good atmosphere! :) We then ordered 2 Kaiserschmarrn for just 16.50 per portion. The Kaiserschmarrn came quite quickly but was cold. Plum compote was also ice cold. A mere 50 euros for 2 hot drinks and 2 Kaiserschmarrn is just hefty. It's different and 100 times better in Garmisch. Then getting a dig because you don't tip much because you didn't receive any service... you can think about that for yourself. It's a shame, nothing seems to have happened here in Mohrenplatz in the last 12 years.

A very nice restaurant that invites you to linger before or after shopping. All dishes were prepared very lovingly and our waiters were proactive. Kudos to all the employees for this. We didn't have to wait long and were served very quickly. Result: Highly recommended and we will come back on our next visit. Dogs are welcome and we were also offered a water bowl without asking. Really highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere with little culinary content. The rooms are cozy and attractive. The service is friendly. The preparation of the dishes could be improved (e.g. fried potatoes too fatty, vegetables too salty and peppery). Given the density of restaurants in Garmisch, we would choose a different restaurant next time.

Unfortunately a disappointment! The knuckle was dead! Completely dry, hard and tasteless. Surely you stayed in the kitchen too long!? Food like this shouldn't have been served again! The waiter's reaction... Well... that's probably the cause... No sorry or suggestion for a solution... In our opinion, the rest of our food was also not freshly prepared. More like convenience food.

It used to be better!!! Food was cold. We were supposedly seated at the wrong table and asked why we were sitting here. Staff wasn't very friendly. A dish was only brought out of the kitchen upon request. The food was only served after three quarters of an hour. Too bad! We were looking forward to a lovely evening.

One of the best schnitzels I've had in a while! We got lucky on a Saturday night without a reservation as most restaurants in the area were fully booked, Fischer's had a single hightop available for us. We squeezed in and ordered a couple of drinks to start. I recommend the Alt Münchner Dunkel. Then for our mains, my date got the Zanderfilet (fish) and I of course went with the Schnitzel (veal) which was cooked to perfection. So crispy, yet so delicate! My side of roasted potatoes were tasty as well, though I preferred my dates vinegar-based potato salad side, which was creamier than typical. Naturally as soon as I spotted Kaiserschmarrn on the menu, we asked the waiter for dessert. My date was stuffed so I ate the whole portion myself, which I'm not embarrassed about because dang was it fantastic! I almost wanted to order another one if I weren't about to burst at the seams. Instead, we got the check from our delightful waiter and headed to the Winterzauber out front, which is actually part of the restaurant! Overall, wonderful, friendly service, delicious traditional Bavarian dishes, and a very cozy vibe. Pro-tip: make a reservation!

Completely arrogant, arrogant staff, we wanted to eat something there and were treated in a completely impossible, arrogant and presumptuous manner by an older gentleman. As a result, we left the restaurant with 6 people and will never visit it again, absolutely not recommended.

Great little Christmas market from Fischers.. even though there is no ice rink this year (2024) he still implemented it brilliantly and it was really successful and cozy, you can't complain about that. The mulled wine prices are also moderate.

Selten gebe ich 5 Sterne! Wir waren vom Esen (Haxe und Schweinefilet) absolut überzeugt. Qualität ist absolut gegeben. Haxe knusprig und Fleisch saftig. Soße passend mit Geschmack. Gemüse auf den Punkt… was soll ich mehr sagen, wären wir noch länger geblieben hätten wir jeden Tag dort gegessen. Das Personal sehr nett, freundlich und fragt aufmerksam nach wünschen. Chefin hat ein Auge fürs Detail, Chef bodenständig und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich als Gast willkommen. Dane für einen tollen Abend an alle.

I rarely give 5 stars! We were absolutely convinced by the food (hock and pork fillet). Quality is absolutely given. The knuckle is crispy and the meat is juicy. Sauce suitable with taste. Vegetables to the point… what more can I say, if we had stayed longer we would have eaten there every day. The staff is very nice, friendly and asks attentively what you want. Boss has an eye for detail, boss down-to-earth and attentive. You feel welcome as a guest. Dane for a great evening everyone.

Das Rund-um-Paket. Leckeres Essen, freundliche Kellner, saubere Toiletten, gepflegte Einrichtung. Preis-Leistung ist hier sehr fair.

Spontan sind wir am 24.11. zum (Nach)Mittagessen eingekehrt. Ein Tisch zu bekommen war kein Problem. Freundliche Begrüßung. Rasche Bedienung und Aufnahme der Speisen. Kinderspätzle etwas zu kleine Portion, uns wurde aber Nachschlag angeboten. Haxe hervorragend rösch und zart zugleich mit guter Soße und extra bestellten leckeren Krautsalat. Das Schnitzel war etwas lieblos gebraten und hatte nicht die soufflierte schöne Panade wie es sich gehört. Dafür waren die Bratkartoffeln von guter Qualität. Auch die anrichteweise der Schnitzel übereinander war eher lieblos und wirkte draufgeklatscht. Eine Flasche Mineralwasser für 7,50€! ist in dieser Kategorie ziemlich ambitioniert und läd nicht gerade zu weiteren konsum ein. Der Chefin des Hauses sei geraten ihr Personal respektvoll zu behandeln und nicht in der Öffenlichkeit in den Senkel zu stellen und ungebührlich anzutreiben. Natürlich ist es ärgerlich ein abgelaufenes Getränk aus der Schank zu ziehen. Stellt sich allerdings die Frage ob Sie vielleicht in Zukunft selbst und allein dahinter stehen möchte?

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal und auch leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen. Wer rustikal-modernes Ambiente mag ist hier richtig.

Definitely room for improvement. You have to be able to afford, or want to afford, three Viennese sausages and two round pieces of mini bread with mustard for €7.90. A “good spoonful” of fried potatoes with the Leberkäs is definitely not enough. What definitely fits is the hospitality.

Leider ist dieses Lokal an Ignoranz nicht zu überbieten. Obwohl etliche Plätze frei waren, hieß es, es ist alles ausreserviert. Ich wollte einen Platz, hätte mich auch gerne irgendwo dazu gesetzt, das wurde rigoros unterbunden, mit dem Hinweis, das wünschen unsere Gäste nicht. Schade, dass das Maroni, wegen Betriebsurlaub geschlossen hatte. Dort geht Service und Gastfreundlichkeit anders.
