It's just stupid when people just want something to drink and there's only one cash register, so you have to stand there for half an hour and the beer 🍻 is warm and then you pay 5.20€

The Tegelberg panoramic restaurant not only offers a wonderful view, but also attaches great importance to transparency. This is particularly visible through the large, transparent windows, which give guests a clear view of the surrounding nature. Interestingly, the service and design of the restaurant is also designed to convey an impression of openness - although the exact details of the workflows and processes are not always entirely clear. While the more transparent aspects like the windows are obvious, it remains unclear how exactly the more opaque processes work in the background. Despite this enigmatic aspect, the restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere and is a nice place for a relaxed meal.

Great view, good food and friendly staff. If you go up on foot it tastes even better. By train you still have to calculate €30 per person for the journey up and down the mountain.

When I met the Sherpa Arnjula at the base camp on my expedition to Mount Everest this month, he said to me “झुपडीमा पकौडा र चटनीको साथ फ्राइज “That’s right,” something like that A lot means like “…be sure to eat schnitzel with fries and a roast at the panoramic restaurant on Tegelberg” No sooner said than done. After our 13-hour return flight, we immediately drove on from Munich airport in our Porsche to the Allgäu and up the mountain. When we arrived at the top, we ordered the two portions and put them professionally into our feeding hatches. The food was very tasty, no frozen schnitzel, but it cost us over 50 euros (100 marks, dear!) including 2 drinks. Therefore one star deducted. But don't give a damn, we're from Munich, we've got money growing out of our asses. I'll buy the hut at some point anyway! In this sense अलविदा र अलविदा

We ate pomes, it was very delicious. The view is superb. WC Lee is clean. Disabled access is available.

A wonderful place, full of magic, surrounded by impressive and wonderful mountains, each mountain with a different shape, it is perfect to visit and enjoy the view of the city of Füssen and its surroundings, 10/20 in winter the climb costs 31 €.00 and the food is not so expensive, the best experience without a doubt for those who love mountains and nature…

The Tegelberg panoramic restaurant scores with a great view - but unfortunately that's where it ends. The experience was anything but relaxing: it took us 35 minutes to even place our order, and then we had to wait another 30 minutes for the Kaiserschmarrn to be ready. The restaurant was extremely crowded and there were only two wait staff: one to pour drinks and the other to take cash. Both were very friendly, but obviously completely overloaded. It is incomprehensible why more staff are not employed when there are so many guests - a lot of potential is wasted here. The quality of the Kaiserschmarrn and the Germknödel was really good, that has to be said. The prices, on the other hand, are quite high, which is even harder to justify given the long waiting times. Conclusion: Unfortunately there is no real alternative at Tegelberg, otherwise we would probably have eaten somewhere else. It's a shame, because with better organization this restaurant could be much more than just the only local option.

It is a logistical challenge to get ingredients there so you must lower down the expectations. Really good view and vibe

The view is great up there, the prices and the long queues, as well as the wait (45 minutes) for food without having to queue for 30 minutes, were also quite expensive and tiring with small children.

The ascent with the Tegelbergbahn is an experience in itself - you practically float straight into the mountains. Once at the top, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking 360-degree view, ranging from the royal castles to the majestic Alps. You can sit back and relax on the restaurant's spacious sun terrace while the impressive backdrop takes your breath away. The combination of fresh mountain air and culinary delights makes this place unique. It is particularly recommended to take a break when the weather is clear to enjoy the panorama in its full splendor - an absolute must for nature lovers and connoisseurs! If you still have a little energy, you should take the opportunity to explore the surroundings. A short summit tour, which takes about an hour, is easily possible from here. The paths are well signposted and the view from the summit is simply incomparable - an unforgettable experience for hikers of all levels. Admittedly, when there is a lot of traffic, it can take a while until it's your turn at the self-service counter. But that's part of the lively atmosphere of the place and is more than made up for by the quality of the food and the unique location. The Panorama Restaurant Rösterau is the perfect place to leave everyday life behind, unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Allgäu mountains to the fullest. I'll definitely be back - an absolute insider tip (perhaps not entirely secret) for every Tegelberg visitor!

Actually a nice place with a great view of the lakes and a great terrace where you can enjoy the sun, but 45 minutes in line (self-service) for a coffee is really too much. Not all the tables were occupied. The background noise inside was more like a canteen, but that was due to the guests shouting to each other in groups across several tables. Sanitary facilities are new and clean.

Very long wait, but it was also a holiday. But at least there is a very nice view.

Beautiful view and great location. Unfortunately, the food quality is not good: potato soup was melty, curry sausage was drowned in sauce and barely warm, fries tasted like old fat, goulash soup was mediocre, Kaiserschmarn was okay. Service: asked for three forks for the Kaiserschmarn because we wanted to share it, additional forks were supposed to cost 70 cents each, unbelievable. Cake forks were only given free of charge after a complaint.

I only had coffee there. Coffee was fine and I could sit there in the sun.

The view is of course fantastic. But waiting in line for a few drinks for half an hour is definitely too much.

08/23/2024 Super tasty Apple Strudel and great price for this prime location. Tables dirty, staff a bit smart. Well, monopoly. Nice for a drink with a view but nothing more. Uncomfortable seats.

Prices like in a luxury restaurant... but the charm of a better canteen... The Kaiserschmarrn is therefore too expensive - but tastes very good!

The train wasn't running... it had to be repaired. So we sat on the terrace with a piece of apple strudel with ice cream... a special and a soda. Service was friendly. But the highlight was that the alpine choughs came and took a piece from their hands.

Staff at the self-service counter were overworked. Compare the prices of the small and large drinks carefully. The relationship is not right at all. Of course the terrace makes up for a lot. So it's more of a good address

I actually wanted to eat something, but at 17 euros for a portion of cheese spaetzle I can't handle it. Apparently many others did too, and I didn't see anyone eating anything. Rightly so. Cheesecake is Tk goods, you can see it straight away. A soup just under 10 euros. There is no service. When I ordered an iced tea, the checkout tried to sell me a Kaiserschmarrn, no thanks, definitely not for the price. But as long as there are people who pay, the prices will continue to rise.

Actually nicely located with a great view. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not recommended at all. First there is a long queue at the counter and then they charge EUR 1.50 for an additional fork. Reason: You would fill an entire table with just one meal.

I ate delicious roast pork with red cabbage and dumplings. Good home cooking. But for this tourist hotspot, 3 slices of roast pork at an acceptable price was the highlight of the day. Not even self-service could change that.

We only had something to drink because the food was very, very expensive. 17€ for a currywurst e.g. is quite an exaggeration. Drinks could be cooler. Service a bit lackluster. The best thing is the view from up there.

Price-performance doesn't fit at all. Goulash soup didn't taste like anything and was lukewarm to cold. We have never eaten such bad Kaiserschmarrn and for 16 euros. The only nice thing was the view and the expensive beer.

Food expensive and not good for the prices. Two 'potato soups' (over-seasoned) for 8-9€ each, standard (bag) Kaiserschmarrn for 16€ (!) and drinks (OK). Unfortunately it's not worth it at all.

Cheese spaetzle doesn't keep well at all. Way too much spice and no cheese. I choked it up. Staff and atmosphere great. Unfortunately, you have to queue for quite a long time and then wait again at your seat for your food.

08/06/24 Food: Kaiserschmarrn, large salad with chicken, apple strudel, cheese spaetzle. Everything is so incredibly good! The chef is great! Even a boring salad tastes great there and the chicken was perfect. We tried everything and were so happy with all the dishes! Stately prices, but absolutely worth it given the location and the quality!

I loved it. We took the first carriage up to the panorama restaurant, so we were the first visitors. How amazing to see all those stunning views without all the tourists. The staff were very friendly and enjoyed our enthusiasm. You can book a tandem paragliding session from the top down to the bottom. It looked amazing.

Self service area. 5 non-alcoholic drinks (Cola and Fanta) for just under €25. All drinks are cold, but non-carbonated. We didn't want to complain because a single service person was responsible for all food and drink orders including cashiers and there was a queue of at least 20 people and it didn't get any smaller during our stay. Overall, unfortunately, not such a good experience for a heavily frequented destination. However, the view is great, provided the weather cooperates.

Frozen fries with a Krakauer sausage disguised as a currywurst, swimming in a tomato sauce for €17. Tourism or not. I don't eat here anymore. Staff too unfriendly if you have general questions... View is nice.

At almost 2000m altitude, you can hike and eat.

I was there today on August 3rd, 24 with my son. The location is of course breathtaking. It is a self-service restaurant with standard dishes. I had potato soup with wiener (a bit too sour) my son nuggets and fries. (Standard frozen nuggets, fries a bit too salty). That's just our feeling. Normal, good self-service restaurant with a great view. Food was brought to the table despite the pickup beeper.

Really nice there, of course the price is up, but in my opinion still within the normal range for a tourist region.

Unfortunately, the self-service restaurant is severely understaffed; one force must do everything. Preparing food, serving it and collecting cash at the cash register and in between picking up and emptying the trolleys with dirty dishes from the terrace. No wonder there is nothing warm to eat in the afternoon (except cake, apple strudel warmed up here)! The service person personally gives 5 stars for doing everything so well! Finally, the prices are pretty steep! Well, you're on the mountain after all. Unfortunately, the hut right next door was obviously on a “closed day” (during the holiday season!) But they had set up a beer vending machine 🤣🤣!

Food and location was amazing 👏 great views It was very pricy though, 22.80€ for a snitzel with fries is ludicrous, no matter how delicious it tasted. Considering how busy the place is, and that people either have to complete a 3hours hike up a mountain or pay 30€ to get their by the caple car, I unfortunately can't recommend going here to eat. Maybe get a beer and enjoy the view 🍺

You go up (and down) the mountain with a cable car, but once you reach the top you have four options for walking down. Quite worth it

A brilliant restaurant with a large outdoor terrace with a breathtaking view of the Allgäu Alps and the Branderschrofen summit. Drinks are available to take away at the counter, but you usually have to get food when the beeper goes off at the table. Walking from there to the Branderschrofen summit is a 25-minute climbing tour with the possibility of taking a break in between. Already at the first break point you have a great view of the Zugspitze, for example.

I have never seen such ignorant waitress as today. We have been told that kitchen is open for 20 minutes, i called my daughter from outside a the lady refused to serve us with warm food after 10minutes. food was average. View is amazing.

If you want the perfect way to finish your hike, Panorama Restaurant Tegelberg - Schwangau is the place to be! It’s a fantastic spot to grab a bite and enjoy a cold beer. The view is absolutely stunning—you won't be able to take your eyes off it! Plus, there are cozy loungers where you can relax and unwind. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. The portions are generous, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. There are plenty of great spots for photos—your Instagram will love it! I'll definitely be back to enjoy the beauty and delicious food again.

You should treat yourself to a snack on the Tegelberg.

Definitely worth going up on the Cable car to enjoy a meal up here and after a short or long hike. Decent selection of drinks But GREAT food! Service was a bit slow but if you have time that won't matter because they are very kind, attentive and the view is amazing!

Great view, of course you have to pay. Apple strudel €9.90. Radler €4.30. Self-service takes a very, very long time. Don't want to go there on weekends/holidays. Great prices. It's just a destination. But a nice one.

The prices are quite high. Frozen cake, small piece: 4.90 euros Coffee and milk coffee together 9.20 euros. However, there is friendly self-service. Sorry, but next time I'll take my coffee with me in a thermos :-) Pork schnitzel with fries for 22.80 euros. Currywurst with fries 16.90 euros. Actually just outrageous. With every understanding that the staff must also be paid reasonably, but that is clearly too much.
